I gave her a contract. She gave me a baby.

It was simple.
Rue would carry the baby.
My girlfriend and I would raise it.
Just another contract in the life of a billionaire.
Sounds simple right? Wrong.
My girlfriend no longer wants me or my unborn child.
She may have given up on this baby, but I never will...
And, I think I'm falling for Rue.
I will give her a life and family she never imagined.
But will someone's change of heart keep me away from my happily ever-after?

"I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."

"Have a sit and get ready for the most unexpected nine months of your life."

Creating a family is a long journey till you actually reach its completion. However, there are few sideways to create a family which not many people consider as an option. Not to mention, the possibility to find your true love through one of these sideways.

Becoming Daddy is the second book I have the honor to read as an ARC reader by the author. I haven't been familiar with the author's writing style so far, whereas I'm starting to think that smart, strong, independent heroes, coming from Whiskey Hollow, is her thing. The storyline of Becoming Daddy is based on a very sensitive subject as it is motherhood. However, the title itself presents the subject from an other perspective. Fatherhood...

Rue, came across with a huge dilemma. She needed to save her grandmother's house at Whiskey Hollow from seizure. She couldn't find a solution until a wrong address and later on an unexpected interview provoke her to have second thoughts about the absurd preposition they made her. Rue, as a surrogate is the perfect mother! However, her life turns to be much more complicated when strong emotions and lot of misunderstandings between her and the baby's father started to develop.

Richard, chose to create a family using a different order than it is accustomed to. He always used to have his way and his wealth was the passport to helped him have it. Although, Richard thought about everything and covering every detail about having a child with his lifetime girlfriend, he didn't consider one little detail. His rising feelings for Rue.

Nine months plus few more were needed to unfold a story about two very opposite souls who had one same goal. Give birth a baby that both wanted for their own reasons. There were many times that things between them went wrong, however it was clear that the author wanted to gift them with a HEA. I found the narration of the story great and well-honed in subjects as is surrogacy and pregnancy. I also, found interesting that the author didn't wanted to fill the story with sexual moments, but to provide the beautiful development between Rue's and Richard's relationship, full of humourous lines and witty dialogs. Less to say that, when these feisty moments finally took place they were steamy hot and unexpectedly intense. Why unexpectedly? Well, you have to find out yourself.

I hope I intrigue your imagination and made you grab the book yourselves and find out what's really happening because there is no way to tell you myself.

Until next time, enjoy your free time reading great books with the most unforgettable stories.

Rue is a country girl who moved to the big city. It is time for a dentist appointment but she hates her dentist so her friend offers to make an appointment for her with his dentist. He is very secretive about the dentist and refuses to give her an address but instead gives her confusing directions. After a a little bit of wandering she finds an office building and they are expecting her. As she fills out the paperwork, she is surprised at some of the question. Her biggest shock comes when the doctor asks her why she wants to be a surrogate.Rue realizes she is in the wrong place but feels drawn to go through the surrogate application process. If she is chosen, she can help a couple start a family and the money she will be paid will save her family's house.
Richard is a rich businessman who has a socially acceptable fiancee. There are no real strong emotions between them but marriage is expected. Richard is ready to start a family but his fiance Flora tells him she is not able to have children. Richard decides that they need a surrogate. During the application process, he is really drawn to Rue because she gives honest answers and shows real feelings. Flora isn't thrilled but Rue is the best candidate. Richard arranges for Rue to be impregnated and is thrilled when it takes. He is drawn to Rue and will do anything it takes to make her happy but there are misunderstandings because Richard and Rue have totally different backgrounds. He feels more for Rue than his bride to be.
This story is funny and full of misunderstandings. The whole surrogate plan changes when Flora admits that she doesn't want a baby and she has been lying all along. What will happen with the unborn child. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

This is a beautiful story. R.R. Banks brings surrogacy to an emotional front in this book. I love Rue and how she takes on this job so wonderfully. To combat the emotions that she is going through she writes these beautiful letters to the child that she will never know once she gives birth to him/her. They bring such a great way to her thought process I loved it. Richard has wanted a family for a long time. So when his girlfriend tells him she can't have a baby they decide to go the surrogacy way. But when the baby is real and the girlfriend starts getting cold feet. What happens to Richards future family? I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Becoming Daddy

What an amazing story! Loved Richard and Rue, probably two of the most unlike people, the last in common, yet destined to be together. The typical saying, if it is meant to be, it will happen! This is a must read, truly loved their story❤️.

Oh, Yes. I do believe there is some fictional wizardry going on amongst the pages of Becoming Daddy!
*I know, I know, humor me for a second!* Something grabbed hold of my all my senses shutting out my surroundings holding on through this beautifully emotional messy out of this world ride Rue and Richard embark on, and I could not have been happier about it! If that isn't Merle like powers than I don't what is!
Ah, transported back to Whiskey Hollow once again, ( YAY!) R.R. Banks newest tale had me considering several things:

1.) I need to visit a place like Whiskey Hollow

2.) They say money can not buy happiness, but if I had the kind of money, Richard does-I would give it my best shot.

3.) Would I be willing to do what Rue OR Richard is to rectify the situations they face?
Eeek! You guys. I am not going to give you the whole synopsis; there's so much going on! You just got to read it!
My take on Becoming Daddy- Woo! This all-out emotional battle had its fair share of relatable laugh out loud humor, maddening moments, and yummy heat I swear could feel start burning between these two the farther along the story well written goes!
I love it when the primary and secondary characters are so developed I feel like I know them- even if I want to throttle them. (Flora, that girl needs a stick removed or weighted shoes.. or when others are being stubborn AF and won't listen.)
I just finished this baby making emotional train wreck, and I already want to go back and reread it!
Every new book I read by Mr. Banks I notice the more detailed, and unique the storylines become, he has quickly become one of my top 10 favorite authors!
This book is one I highly suggest checking out for yourself!
Deserves 10 Stars!

Wow, this book was beyond amazing. It was very detailed and well put together. Rue thought she was going to a private dentist when she accidently ended up going to an interview for surrogacy. Even when she found out that there was a mix up she still found her self excepting the idea and agreeing to go through with it. Richard is a wealthy handsome business man who wants nothing more then to be a father. He had planned on making that dream come true with his girlfriend Flora. Despite the fact that they aren't married or even in love for that matter he was determined to go through with getting a surregent to carry his child since his girlfriend came up with a lie about not being able to conceive. He wasn't going to let her female inabilities get in the way of having a baby. Richard never would have guessed that he would fall for the woman that would carry his contract baby. Rue was so up for anything that Richard asked of her, anything to make him happy knowing how much he wanted this. She was determined to hand a healthy baby over to him and Flora. Even if her feelings had became so strong for Richard and the unborn child. Both Richard and Rue have grown up completely different and have lived very different life styles. Rue comes from a very small town in the country area where everyone knows everyone. She never appreciated it when she was young but felt drawn to it now that she experienced living in the city and working a job in the corporate world. They go through different bumps in the road but always seem to find their way back to each other as that baby grows in the whom. I really enjoyed this book. It had an amazing HEA. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Becoming Daddy is hilarious and highly entertaining, mixed with tender and serious moments. When Richard is told that his girlfriend cannot have children, the couple decide to have a baby by way of surrogacy. Richard approaches the process the same way that he would interviewing for a new employee and whilst he sets out to trip up the prospective baby carriers, Rue turns the tables on him and the accidental surrogate mother has him gasping for breath. When Flora decides that marriage and motherhood aren't for her after all, Richard realises that being a daddy is still the most important thing to him, but Rue is becoming almost as important as the baby. The dialogue and internal thoughts of the main characters had me alterntively laughing out loud and wiping my eyes. Rue's letters to her baby tell so much about her character, her roots and generousity. Richard is used to making problems go away with money, but in Rue he finds a salt of the earth woman, one who needs the money he has contracted to pay, but not the handouts that he wants to make. Even though she ran away the moment she could, Rue's roots are still in Whisky Hollow and the small town code of ethics. When her preganancy is confirmed, Rue goes back to the comfort of her roots and the people she can trust, and Richard has a hard time getting his head around the challenges that she presents him with. The book is really well written and I found it hard to put it down, even to sleep. However, it is entertainment at its best and I look forward to reading more by this writer.

I loved this billionaire's baby romance! Rue accidentally ends up in the wrong place at the right time, and while she's a surrogate mother only, when circumstances change between Richard and his girlfriend, it's Rue that he turns to for comfort. I loved the humor and the emotional pull of the story. Rue's letters were so awesome, they lent a depth to the story that I wasn't expecting. The attraction between Richard and Rue was also well done - though there are misunderstandings, I loved how Richard fought for his family. Great read!

This story is amazing. R.R. Banks has taken his writing to the next level. I literally laughed at some of the scenes and cried at others. Rarely does a story have so much emotion within the pages that leap out into your heart. The story of Rue and Richard delved into the world of surrogacy and the emotional journey that a surrogate goes through as well as the couple who wants a baby. There are some twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will not want to put this book down.

An emotional storyline with a sensitive subject that R. R. Banks did an exceptional job writing. Great chemistry between Rue and Richard. Hilarious at times and the other characters were just as amazing as Rue and a Richard. I would definitely recommend this book, you won’t be disappointed. I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed the story that R.R. Banks describes in this book. I DIDN'T want it to end. It is so well written that you felt like you were standing right there while it was going on. Rue is in a pickle. She has had to suffer the loss of her dad recently and found out that she may loose her family home that she was raised in. When she goes to the dentist for a cleaning, she ends up in the wrong location and is in fact interviewing to become a surrogate for a family wanting a child (or so she thinks). While she is being interviewed by Ellery, Richard is watching intently and trying to decide if she will be the one to carry his and Flora's baby. Richard is a well to do and is at a point in his life where he has time to have a child, unfortunately is girlfriend, Flora isn't able to conceive. They decide to have a contract baby. They are interviewing several women for the position when Rue walks in. She is a breath of fresh air, being in her comfortable clothes but there is something about her that is different and draws Richard's attention. After going through several rounds of interviews Rue meets Richard and Flora. Flora is anything but kind to Rue, but Richard seems to generally like her. The day of the doctor's appointment, Flora announces to everyone that her eggs are not viable to use, (thinking that this will put Richard off the need to go through with the Contract Baby), Rue volunteers to let them use her egg for the baby. Rue moves to her family home that she is trying to save. Richard offers to move her things for her. He shows up on Thanksgiving and has dinner with Rue, she said she feels like she is pregnant but until the next week they won't know for sure. There are a few heated moments between the two of them, before Richard so graciously insults her friends in Whiskey Hollow. At the appointment Rue is nervous and doesn't really talk. When the doctor announces that she is pregnant, Richard gives her a hug, confusing both of them more. A few days later while helping her friend Tessie and Christopher, she gets dizzy and passes out, they call the ambulance, but she refuses to go to just any hospital. They get her back in the house and she gets sick again, this time she is spotting blood. They call Richard and they take her to the clinic that he has built just for her and the baby. While checking on the baby via ultrasound, he takes her hand in his for reassurance. There is a feeling of intimacy that blooms, but both hide it. After getting some IV, Rue is taken back to Richard's house to rest. Flora is not happy about this. Slowly they reveal things to the other about their past. Richard has her house decorated for Christmas for her. Valentines Day is the big reveal, Richard is a little shocked that Flora doesn't want to go with him to spread their good news. He decides to stop and tell Flora's gynecologist that they are expecting and the doctor asks if Flora is feeling well from the morning sickness, Richard is little shocked at this and when the doctor explains Flora is totally able to have a baby, all heck hits the fan. Richard and Flora fight. Flora reveals she doesn't want to have a baby and figured he would drop it if she said she couldn't have one. They slip and he goes to Rue and they have a few passionate months. Things come to a head about right before the baby is due when a failed attempt of a date, due to Rue seeing Richard and Flora having a moment before their date causes a huge blowup in the restaurant. She leaves, he is devastated. How will they fix it? What will become of the little family that Richard so desperately wants?

Rue makes one tiny mistake that will change her life. Thinking she’s going to the office of a dentist her friend recommended, she walks in to a group of women interviewing to become a couple’s surrogate. Something about Rue draws Richard in. She’s not dressed like the other women, and she different, in an unexpected, refreshing way. Richard immediately knows Rue will be the perfect surrogate for the baby he and his girlfriend, Flora, have decided they want. But everything is not as it appears. Rue seems like a big city girl, but she’s made plans to return to her home in the small town of Whiskey Hollow. And Flora? Let’s just say that she’s a whole different case of deception.

If I had any doubts about Mr. Banks’ writing, those were swept away when I read Accidental Daddy, so I was desperate to get my hands on an advance copy of Becoming Daddy. I fell in love with Whiskey Hollow and was delighted to find that this book had ties to that quirky, charming small town. And truthfully, it’s always great fun when the affluent, privileged billionaire runs headlong into small town life! As anticipated, Banks gives us the familiarity, comfort and humor of the small town setting, along with the angst and uncertainty of merging two vastly different backgrounds and lifestyles. That, alone, makes for a great book, but Rue and Richard’s path to forever, complete with vulnerability, misunderstandings, true love and steamy chemistry take it over the top! This book had me by turns laughing, anguished, happy, sad and satisfied and is a definite must read! I wholeheartedly recommend you go ahead and 1-click. You won’t be sorry!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Honestly, I never wanted this incredibly romantic and deeply emotional story to end! As soon as its available to purchase I am going to buy it so I can read it as often as I like, wherever I like.

To me, this book and the wonderfully, ever-increasingly talented R.R. Banks tackled and handled a sensitive theme, surrogacy, with grace and tenderness. The emotions portrayed felt real, raw, life-changing, and full of absolute depth while retaining respect for the process. I connected immediately with the protagonists and secondary characters alike. The story itself was gripping, it drew me in from the very first line and held my attention completely until the very last word.

Rue, the female protagonist, was a strong, independant, and lovable character who accidently found herself in a surrogacy office. She promptly decided that, even though it wasnt anything she had previously thought about, the idea of helping a childless couple bring a much awaited baby into the world was something she needed to do; her way of helping and bringing a bit of light to the world. The fee she would be paid would also allow her to save her family's house; her childhood home in Whiskey Hollow and last real/physical link to her father and grandmother.

Richard, the male lead, was another strong and independant character, a successful man used to getting exactly what he wanted from life; and a man who longed for a child with his whole heart. When his long-time girlfriend discovered she was unable to have children they turned to surrogacy and interviewed myraids of women, whereupon they met and selected Rue.

Richard and Rue both felt an immediate pull to one another, a pull they knew was wrong and worked to ignore. When life-shattering news broke Richard's trust and relationship with his girlfriend he sought out Rue, already several months pregnant with their child, and they embarked on a passion-filled relationship. After a tragic misunderstanding and explosive confrontation, Rue made the move back to Whiskey Hollow determined to remain there alone for the duration of the pregnancy despite the fact she was heartbroken. Richard refused to give up and he fought hard for them, for their love, and for the beautiful life he knew they could have together. As a family.

This book was the real deal. The unicorn romance we all long for inwhich the characters are flawed yet learn and evolve, the story is tragic and heartwarming all at once, and the romance is full of passion, heat, tenderness, and the truest love. As usual, the details and writing were inspired, the humour was the perfect balance between subtle and uproarious depending upon the scene, and the sex was, frankly, enviablely H.O.T.

The letters that Rue wrote for the baby while pregnant, a baby she was not supposed to adore yet did, were breathtaking in their raw honesty and made me cry more than once, both happy tears and sad. They were, I think, the crowning jewel in a vault of splendid beauty. I also think R.R. Banks pretty perfectly captured pregnancy on paper. I cant encourage you enough to read this moving tale of life and love for yourself.

The thing is with lies, is that once you tell one, you will probably need to tell even more to cover up the first. In this book we meet Rue who is a strong minded young woman with two wonderful friends, Christopher and Tessie. She hasn't had an easy life and her dad has just died and her Grandmammy's house where she grew up in, in Whisky Hollow [I do love that name], is due to be taken by the bank unless she finds money to pay the mortgage like NOW. Rue doesn't know what to do. She also needs to see a dentist but doesn't want to go but Christopher says he will make an appointment for her with his dentist who is brilliant. He doesn't tell her the address so when the taxi drops her off outside a building she walks in and is being watched by a very handsome man via cctv. She then meets a gentleman called Ellery who starts talking to her and she realises that she isn't in the right place as he is on about her being a surrogate! As the money is what she needs to keep her home she stays and listens. More interviews take place and this Richard is still watching her as there is something about her that bewitches him. After several steps she finds out that she has been chosen for a couple and then she meets Richard and his "girlfriend" Flora who is a cold, unpleasant excuse for a human being [why Richard is with her was beyond my understanding]. Anyway, I'm not going to tell you all the story as RR. Banks is such a talented and amazingly popular author that he does it better than I could even dream of doing so. R.R. Banks' stories are always written with a lovely flowing writing style that draws you into the story and what a story this book is with plots and secrets and lies that he does tell us the reader until towards the end and what secrets they are! I loved Rue as she was sweet, loyal, loving, caring, a good sense of humour and loved without reservations. Richard really was not living in the real world till he met Rue. She woke him up to so many possibilities like genuine affection, real lust and passion and ultimately LOVE. He was a bit of a "stuffed shirt" at the beginning but as the concept of his child coming into the world and his affections for Rue grew, he developed a sense of humour [the tatty jeans!] and took time out to have fun and make alterations to his life for love and a family to be able to grow with him. Christopher and Tessie were wonderful and I'd love to read about any HEA's for them? As for Flora - well every book has to have a wicked witch and she is IT. I loved the way Richard really threw himself wholeheartedly into being a part of Whisky Hollow and helped those who would, hopefully, be his friends and neighbours. A truly wonderful story that made me smile, laugh, want to wring someone's neck and sigh when the marriage proposal was made. I will be purchasing this when it becomes available on Kindle. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

Becoming Daddy by R.R. Banks is his best book yet. It is a quick, sweet and heartwarming read that is full of laughable moments.

Rue and Richard are the heroine and hero of this book. Richard is a prominent businessman who is looking to become a father. He has a girlfriend/significant other who is truly a wretched woman. She is an icy, elitist who appears to be above becoming a mother and looking for a surrogate. This, however, does not stop Richard from finding one. It is shown through the writing that Richard has true devotion to this process of having a baby.

Rue is an adorable character. She is strong, loyal, kind, caring and lovable. Rue has become a city girl, but is really a country girl at heart. She is a no nonsense girl with a level head who understands the value of family. By accident she ends up at the contract baby interviews. How she got there though is an incredibly funny story. She ends up going through this process, not only because she needs the money, but she enjoys the idea of helping a childless couple bring life to their home. This does not make her greedy, she is trying to save her Grammyma’s house, which happens to be the house she grew up in. There is a tradition that started with Rue’s mom, which she carries on with her surrogate baby. It is a tear jerker, heartwarmingly tender and emotional moment. Absolute perfection and so sweet!

Becoming Daddy is wonderful read that focuses around the concept of love, family and home. Rue and Richard are a wonderful dichotomy as a couple (She’s a country girl, he’s an upper crust city boy). This works well together in the standpoint that no matter where you come from there truly is nothing like family and home. Richard has a wonderful transformation from upper crust society to Whiskey Hollow everyday man. As I mentioned before, this is by far R.R. Banks best book yet!

Oh my goodness, what a wonderful book full of love, romance, pain, anger and sprinkles of humor!!! I laughed out loud when I read the passages that had the humor. I smiled a lot, sighed a lot and was sad from time to time reading this book. I loved the fact that Rue was true to herself and never forgot how she grew up. She never forgot her grammyma or dad. She met Richard and Flora when she accidentally showed up for an interview (instead of a dental appointment I told you LOL) to be a contract surrogate. Richard had a good heart even though he had a lot to learn about really living life. Flora was the ice queen, whining and just plain miserable. Anyway it is an excellent read and I loved it.

rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. I wasn't too sure what to think of the book when I started to read it but it turned our pretty good. we meet Rue, who is about to lose her family home and only connection to her family. she is on her way to a new dentist when she stumbles upon smtg entirely different...an interview to be a surrogate. Richard has always wanted to be a father and when is gf told him she can't have kids he decides on a surrogate for his plans. he observes the applicants and one girl stand out bc she's different. Rue is asked back to another interview but with a lawyer this time and doesn't miss a beat she asked questions. she knows what it's about and she want a to do it. Richard wants her but flora isn't too keen on the idea. once the papers are signed, Rue will begin the process. eventho the child will be from her egg she knows it won't be her child but writes the baby letters. things progress and rue finds herself attracted to Richard eventho he's from a different class as her. Richard also is attracted to rue and decides to spend the holidays with her but it doesn't go so well. Rue knows they are very different but she can't help her feelings. Richard feels duty to flora bc of growing up together and he learns the truth from her doctor that changes everything. will rue get a happily ever after? will Richard discover his happiness?

I voluntarily read an arc of this book for a fair and honest review. This book surprised me at several turns yet at the same time I thought there was a bit of predictability about it. Rue needs money. I loved Rue’s relationships with her friends. Their dialogue was really funny and the road map to the super secret dentist’s office was a hoot. I am going to stay away from story devices in my review and just stick with an overall plot. Richard and his soon to be wife, though just a girlfriend now, Flora are looking for a surrogate to carry a baby for them. Flora suffers from several infertility problems. Through a bizarrely madcap way Rue, lands up being a candidate for the surrogacy. Richard likes her immediately, Flora not so much. If I had one wish it would be that Richard was more manly. Maybe the author was going for sensitive but Richard always did what was expected of him. I couldn’t for the life of me understand how someone who should have known how to be gracious could react to an ear of corn that way. I know my review sounds like all those drugs I did in the sixties are catching up with me but I really don’t want to give away any spoilers. Just read it...like I said, I saw everything coming before it happened in the book but loved it anyway and I always love a book with a wink and a nod to Stars Hollow.

The sweetest story I have read in a long time. Since the beginning the story will entrap you. The letters written by Rue to the baby are so lovely. But even a sweet romance still have steamy scenes 😋.

Rue needs to save her childhood home and just her luck and as fate will have it she found a way. She will become a surrogate. The couple looking for a surrogate are just that a couple, they are not married and it looks like the mother to be don't want her as a surrogate. The soon to be father is handsome and in love with the idea of being a daddy. She knows that she can't be developing feelings for the baby or the father for that matter, even more now that she is going to be donating the eggs as well. Things start looking better for her but is it all an ilusion?

Richard wants a baby. He and his girlfriend are going to find the perfect surrogate. When he saw Rue he new she was different and that she was the one that have to be his baby mother, well surrogate. He cannot explain it he just now it. He knows that neither his girlfriend ( the one he is just because their families wanted them to be a couple) or Rue deserves the feelings he is developing towards Rue. He feels bad about the whole situation till he finds out he had been lie to. His girlfriend can have babies, she just don't want to. What is he going to do now?

This was the cutest story, I really loved it!
So you have Richard who is a successful business man who is basically in an arrainged relationship with Flora, he knows that things aren't right with them but he is sure that once they move on to the next step in their lives things will get better. The next step for them is having a baby.
Apparently no one has ever told him that having a baby does not save the relationship....NEVER.. anyway that is the plan... also please take note he is not even sure that he wants to marry her.
So the first problem that they run into is that Flora is not able to have children, then the second problem is now that her eggs are not viable. SO now not only will Rue need to be a surrogate but she will also need to donate one of her eggs. Of course she agrees to this right away, a little too quickly for me but ok. COME TO FIND OUT!!!! Everything Flora said was a lie because she just wanted to get out of having a baby. Now Rue is in her second trimester and the woman is saying that she no longer wants to have a baby and that they can come up with different ways and options for her... ARE YOU F'n serious!
Richard wants nothing more than to have this baby and begins to figure out that he is in love with Rue and even though he has a serious case of foot in mouth he actually makes great strides to be a part of her life.

Good book!

Rue accidently finds herself in an interview to be a surrogate but instead of leaving she decides its something she wants to do. Richard is a wealthy man and he wants a family but his girl said she couldn't have kids which brings them both to look for a surrogate. It was supposed to be a simple contract with no emotions involve however that changes pretty quick. Rue writes a letter to the baby every day telling it the things she wants it to know. Richard is excited about the baby and wants to make sure Rue is doing ok so he follows her to her home in Whiskey Hollow nd is surprised by the community living there. When things take a bad turn for Richard and his girlfriend he ends up at Rue's and they have sex. Things get complicated and Rue isn't sure what's going on. Will Richard and Rue make a go of a real relationship?

This was an amazing story and we learn more of the people in Whiskey Hollow. I loved this story especially the parts where she's writing letters to a child she's going to be giving up. The chemistry between Rue and Richard sizzled from the pages. If you haven't read this yet then you need to do so now. Another five star hit. I can't wait for more by this author.

I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

I loved, loved, loved this book. The humor was hilarious, the characters were well-developed and the story was very well-written. This was a very unique, original plot.

I liked the glimpse of Rue's character from Accidental daddy and couldn't wait to read her story. Rue is a strong woman and knows what she wants. She stands up for what she believes in and loves people in her life with all her heart.

Even though Richard is a great businessman, he seems to try to avoid conflicts in his personal life. He tries to exist, skate by without actually living the life to its full extent until Rue comes into his life. He shows his love more than saying it in words.

All side characters added meaning to the story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Bubba Ray, Jeb and Cletus, all of whom were mentioned in the Accidental daddy book. Their scenes usually made the reader laugh.

This was an awesome story, filled with humor, romance and drama. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and this is solely my own honest opinion. I enjoyed this book so much, I will be buying it when it goes live.

WHISKEY HOLLOW HAS REAL WOMEN

R. R. Banks has another Daddy winner on his hands! Richard and Flora choose Rue to be their surrogate, and Rue needs money to save her family home. Financial transaction, right? Wrong!Richard and Flora were living these prescribed lives and neither of them were happy with the expectations placed upon them. It was pretty clear Richard wanted a baby above all else. Rue had this immediate connection to a Richard, who she knew would care for and love this child. He was a hollow man until Rue filled him up and humanised him. What I loved most about this book was the awakening of Richard. He'd come from a monied family and earned more in his own right. He was fascinated by the down-to-earth Rue and at the same time, somewhat repelled by her choices (why live in Whiskey Hollow when you can live in an apartment in the city?).
Rue's friends Tessie and Christopher made great additions to the secondary characters, and revisiting Cletus, Jeb, and Bubba Ray (and his recipes) was pretty fun. I enjoyed the storyline, and the homey magic of Whiskey Hollow.

I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.

I read this book as part of an arc program. I loved this book, this is the second Whiskey Hollow book and this one is about a young woman named Rue who decides to be a surrogate for a billionaire and his girlfriend. Rue accidently finds herself at an interview to be a surrogate when she was trying to find a dentist's office. Rue went through with the appointment when it is mentioned she will be paid and she thinks it could be a way to earn the money to save her childhood home in Whiskey Hollow. Richard really wants a child and when his girlfriend learns she is unable to have a child, they decide on a surrogate. From the beginning, Richard sees something in Rue and knows she is the one to carry his baby, only he has to control his attraction to her. I really loved this book and revisiting Whiskey Hollow and its unique characters. The chemistry between Richard and Rue was explosive. There were times when I laughed out loud and other times I almost cried. Rue's relationship with the baby through her letters was at times emotional and was really what every mother wants for their child. Great one!

A R.R. Banks must read!!!
Richard wants a child and is willing to do anything to have it. His girlfriend cannot have children of her own so he decides to go an alternate method and hire a surrogate. Finding the right one seems rather difficult. During the interviewing process he notices there is something difference about Rue and he knows that she is the one. When Richard finds out that his girlfriend’s eggs are not viable at all he is absolutely heartbroken.
Rue, a small-town girl that would do just about anything to save her family home, including the unthinkable, having a contract baby. The catch, she is extremely attracted to the father of the child, Richard. She ends up getting more involved than she would have ever thought and donates her egg as well. She wants Richard to have the child he has always wanted.
This was defiantly another RR Banks page-turner that I couldn’t put down and stayed up way past my bedtime to finish just to find out if there was a happy ending or not.

Rue is another woman who grew up in the backwoods of Whiskey Hollow. But the hardworking girl gets herself through college in the city and is successfully working her way up in corporate world. Two things changed her life. First, her father died and she discovered that he remortgaged her Grammyma's house and it is about to be repossessed. Second, she misfollowed her friend Christopher's directions to his dentist's office and fell into Richard's scheme of finding a surrogate to carry his child. Since she was in need of money, she applied for the position! This was a really good read taking us back to Whiskey Hollow and the characters we met in Accidental Daddy. Included were recipes from Bubba Ray's Rojo Cuelo Cantina along with their menu for Breakfast, and Lunch and Supper! Of Course, Richard is also a rich man who falls in love with Rue but only has 9 months to change his attitude toward Whiskey Hollow!
