Throughout my life, I’ve always been an avid reader. Reading fed my need to dream and fantasize about what could be. As a latchkey kid I’d spend hours at the library earning those shiny stars the librarian would paste up on the board after my name.

I credit my grandmother’s yearly visits as the beginning of my obsession with romances. When she’d come, she’d bring stacks of romance books, the old fashioned kind that didn’t have sex in them. Imagine my shock when I went to the used bookstore and found out what really could be in a romance novel.

I’ve been writing stories for years and have found a particular love of erotic romances. In this genre, women are no longer confined to a stereotype and plots are no longer constrained to the rational. I love the anything goes mentality and letting my imagination run wild.

I hope you enjoyed running with me and will consider picking up another book and coming along for another adventure.

This one starts out extremely smutty (and gets smuttier) and a little bit funny too. Now how does that happen?

Petite, curvy, slightly rumpled Tessa is an upscale jewelry designer, with her offices in a historic building slated for tear down to make way for some modern condominium development. Tessa is fighting tooth and nail with the developers (Banning & Dunn), resisting with all she is worth over selling her property. While she's doing this, she's also trying to help her coworker and friend with her marital problems. Seems the friend's hubby may be cheating on the friend with other guys. Tessa has the bright idea to hire a couple of male prostitutes/escorts, dangle them in front of the cheating hubby's nose, and see if he'll take the bait. When a couple of drop-dead-gorgeous hunks (dark-haired, blue-eyed Ty and shaggy blond Chase) show up at the office door, Tessa assumes they're from the escort agency. One thing leads to another, and before they can say "we're not who you think we are", the two hunks are giving chatty Tessa a sample of their sexual talents. Whew. What follows in the next couple of weeks is a bunch of 'deceptions', miscommunications, and some very, very hot sex in every way imaginable. When Tessa finds out what the two hunks are keeping from her, she hits the roof, and does something very, very naughty. Can't say I blamed her. However, not only has Tessa had the best sex of her life, she's also fallen for the two men in her life. And one of the men has fallen head over heels with Tessa too, and wants to make things permanent. The other guy is a bit more reluctant, and is worried about giving his heart away to the feisty Tessa. Now the problem for dear Tessa is--does she trust these guys and give them another chance after they kept something SO IMPORTANT from her, or does she kick them (and their sexual bag of tricks) to the curb, never to hear from them again?

Alrighty then. The book started out kind of funny, with Tessa dragging Ty and Chase through her office so her friends could check out the 'merchandise' that was supposed to tempt the friend's wayward hubby. Some pretty funny comments were made all around, and Tessa gave the men no chance to explain that they weren't who she was expecting at her door. In order to shut her up one of the guys kissed her, and then things exploded from there. Tessa became quite the slut, taking these two strangers into her bed, performing all kinds of sex acts with no questions asked, and using no protection. I thought this was kind of slutty and dangerous. Hello! She thought they were male prostitutes and she didn't insist on protection?

The rest of the story (which didn't have much of a plot beyond the mistaken identity/what are you keeping from me angle) was a series of bedroom/bathroom/out in the truck scenes of Tessa and her men getting down and dirty. I'll admit a few of them were smokin' hot, but after a while of reading all the ways Ty and Chase could make Tessa scream with pleasure, I was itching for a little more plot development. A little bit of too much of a good thing...

As for the characters, I liked them well enough (even though I wondered about their sanity). Of the men I really liked Chase--I believed he truly loved Tessa and wanted to be with her. I don't know why she didn't just run off with Chase. ****possible spoiler**** Ty had a 'model perfect' girlfriend who he cheated on with Tessa. And even though she was uppity and all wrong for him, I still didn't like the fact that he was a cheater, and the fact that while he kept cheating, he denied his love for Tessa. I felt like he wanted to have things both ways.*****

This book left a few questions unanswered--for instance, whatever happened to the two men that Tessa hired from the escort agency? Did they show up somewhere else? Also, I know that Ty had a family and wasn't too proud of his 'roots', but did Chase have a family? Did Tessa? If they did I must have missed reading it or was too busy concentrating on who went where and where did that go during all the ménage scenes...

So, not the most outstanding plot, but the book did give me a few chuckles, had a few hot ménage scenes, a tiny hint of romance (there's a sweet part about some wedding rings that Tessa's designing) and plenty of kink. Tessa, Ty, and Chase seemed to spend so much time in bed I don't know how they got any work done, and sometimes things were a little over the top and almost ludicrous, but the book managed to entertain...so I'm giving it 3 1/2 stars for that alone.

Warning: This book contains explicit language and sex, including oral and anal, m/f/m menage (no m/m), the use of some sex toys, some spanking, and some light bondage. Not for the faint of heart!

What a fabulously sexy and hot menage story! "Deception" by Jenny Penn is my first for this author, but I'll definitely be on the lookout for more by this talented writer.

Tessa mistakes Ty and Chase for male escorts. Both of them are intrigued and entranced by this pocket Venus who is so different from their normal 'type'. The more time they spend with her, the deeper their feelings grow. But they haven't been honest with her and the longer their 'deception' goes on, the deeper the hurt will be...for all of them.

When I began reading this story, I meant to just read the first chapter or so to get an idea of the plot, but Ms. Penn sucked me right on in and I just couldn't stop reading! The plot was interesting, the action flowed smoothly, and I fell a little in love with both Chase and Ty even tho the two are so different! The snappy dialogue had me laughing out loud and the sex scenes had me fanning myself!

If you enjoy menage stories with a HEA for all three individuals, steamy sex scenes, and a believable plot...then you won't want to miss this e-book by a new author!

Tessa Miller has been a thorn in the sides of Ty Banning and Chase Dunn who have been fighting with her through a lawyer for a year. deciding it is time to take matters into their own hands they show up on her doorstep. Tessa is thrilled by the choices she has before her, Ty and Chase would do really well for what she needs them for but who to choose?

A case of mistaken identities and a flair for living life moment to moment lead the path to a hilarious story. One of my favorite Jenny Penn books, I forgot I had read this one before but it was just as good the second time around. Love this book.

This is really a 3.5 star book.

Ty and Chase are going to "ambush" Tessa to confront her about her lawsuit against their company. The lawsuit is taking time, and in the construction business, time is money. When they arrive at her door, she mistakenly believes that they are the escorts she hired for a devious plan she's concocted to help a friend. This begins the deception in the book. Ty and Chase, unable to disabuse her of her misconception, begin playing along. During this game, they fall in love with Tessa and begin to wonder what will happen when she finds out the truth.

As I said earlier, this is really a 3.5 star book. It lost points with me because the author managed to hit two of my pet peeves in her story. The first, for those of you who know me, is unsafe sex. Tessa believes that Ty and Chase are escorts/prostitutes, yet she has unprotected sex with them each and every time. They never discuss STDs, nor do they talk about pregnancy. While I can suspend belief long enough to really enjoy a menage story, it makes me respect the characters much less when they act so irresponsibly (unless an unplanned pregnancy is going to be part of the plot.)

The second pet peeve that Penn hit upon was cheating. Ty has been dating Olivia for about a year. The reader barely gets a glimpse of her--just enough to know that she isn't necessarily likeable. Does he break up with her before beginning a sexual relationship with Tessa? No, she sleeps with Tessa, feels a bit quilty about cheating, and then, when Olivia goes out of town, goes back to the uninformed Tessa.

All in all, the sex scenes were hot. The story was interesting, but it's not going to be one that I'll read again.

I normally read extremely steam romance books with heavy erotica scenes, but this was my first purely erotica book.

The sex scenes were great, but since there was virtually zero plot or character development, it felt like cheap sex.

Not that cheap sex can't be fun mind you, but it doesn't have that same "turn on" effect when I read it.

Probably just me.

I'll try another in the erotica genre, perhaps there are some better ones out there?

This had so many sex scenes, that I felt like I was reading porn. Not that I'm complaining. I just didn't like the way the guys lied to her the entire book and didn't ask for forgiveness at the end. Didn't like the way they didn't let Tess be mad at them and just "solved" everything with more sex too. Oh yeah. It's kinda fucked up how Tessa end up apologizing for being mad at them.

But you know what? Almost every page in this book is sexual, so I couldn't care that much about the storyline. The 3 of them got together at the end and I'm happy with that no matter how weak, fucked up or superficial their reasons might be. I'll just think that this is just fiction and forget about the bad and nonsensical parts xD

Another book I read over a decade ago and just now reread.

This book evidently has wormed its way into my brain for better or for worse lol. There are a lot of inconsequential loose ends never tied off, and a minor plot hole or two - but none of that stops me from enjoying this read. Funny thing is twice now - each time after multiple years since reading it - it has popped into my mind begging to be reread. Each time, unfortunately, I had completely forgotten the title and taken it off my kindle.

Let me tell you, it was not fun, searching through Goodreads trying to find the title of the story, but both times I prevailed. Now I remembered to add it to Goodreads, so I never have to search for it again.

The love story between Tessa, Ty, and Chase is both humorous and intense. The beginning of the novel hooked me with its fast-paced, quirky sequence of events. The rather absurd start gives room to suspense of belief and lets the reader enjoy the ride of these three people falling in love/lust almost immediately and settling for a happily-ever-after only a week after meeting each other.

Tessa, Ty, and Chase have their own unique personalities and they create an interesting balance between the three. Back stories for each of them are slightly hinted at. Nonetheless, you only learn enough about them to place them together and to understand what keeps them together, not much more. Other than that small attempt at character development, it’s their intense attraction to each other and their relentless lust that keeps the story moving forward.

The title of the book, “Deception”, comes from the mistaken identity trope that’s used to kick-off the novel. When the heroine discovers the true identities of her lovers there’s a humorous turn of events that ends up with more bedroom games that last for hours on end.

The writing works for the story. The language for the love scenes is graphic and full of the superlatives that the genre demands.

There a quite a few love scenes and most of them are on the long side. There’s a lot of cat and mouse in those long scenes with light bondage, voyeurism, and spanking thrown into the mix. The raw eroticism of the sex makes the scenes very powerful.

This book is very funny, but most of the book is sex scenes with little story.

However, the story and the characters are quite interesting with some depth. I like the heroine, and how she gets back at Ty when she knows the truth. The conflict solving method at the end of this book is different from other books that I read as it doesn't involve long boring talk at all.

The sex scenes are too much like sex stories from porn websites. I have to skim pass many pages. They are also quite unrealistic. They all have so many libidos. I wonder how can the heroine does not feel sore. Yet, sex with male prostitutes without any protections??? The story and the ending are so unreal as well.

If you can look over a few things that don't make sense this story is a fun one. Tessa mistakes Ty and Chase, invites them in and suddenly the three of them are having sex. At first Tessa's friends are there, but once the sex starts they aren't and you aren't sure when they left. The sex between them in explosive, all three feeling a connection, but Ty fighting it. But both guys do end up coming back for more. What makes this book fun to read is that while there is a lot of hot sex going on, they laugh a lot too and have fun with together outside of sex. If you are looking for a fun, sexy book check this one out.

I actually really enjoyed this book. The banter, whether it be between Ty and Chase or Ty and Tessa were hilarious! Poor Ty, always wants to stay in control but doesn't stand a chance against Tessa and Chase! Mild BDSM, some bondage and spanking but nothing hardcore. There are promises of a playroom, but you don't get to see that room in action.

Definitely an easy read. Nothing much in terms of character development or major drama. But it's a erotic comedy, what can you really expect? Nonetheless, I enjoyed the story and surprisingly laughed a lot!

I thought this was a pretty decent menage with an interesting story. It's a nice short read. I didn't have a problem with one of the heroes being in a relationship. tbh...the cheating aspect added a bit to the hotness. That's just me though. I did have a problem with the lack of condoms just because the heroine initially thought they were escorts. I wondered about that and lack of condoms being used at all to be a bit odd. Still, I found this to be an enjoyable diversion if you're a fan of menage stories.
