John Idgaff and Morgan McGregor are best friends and contract killers. While scouting out a location for their next hit, John observes men unleash a zombie virus on an unsuspecting crowd. While Morgan escapes, John is forced to fight his way back, picking up survivors along the way. As their group of survivors grows in size, they not only fight against the zombies but with each other as everyone’s past comes out.

Soon they come face to face with the men responsible for the outbreak and learn that they are part of something much bigger than John or Morgan could have imagined.

More importantly, they learn that the virus was just the beginning.

I was quite surprised by this book! Excellent pace and griping storytelling. It’s always kind of cool to read a story that’s set in your home city...makes you feel like an insider. But the story was well crafted. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for more.
