He is a mangaka from Tokyo, Japan. He later moved to Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump, in wich he won the 7th "Story King" section in the same year.
This volume was epic in every sense of the word omg!
Wow I loved this one, so its mostly the fights as we see Kinro fighting Magma and I love the way it happens and they fight and made me kinda like him and then other fights of Chrome and Ginro which were funny until the last bout and who will marry Ruri, and the way Senku wins lmao its fun and kinda the high point of the series so far and how they cure her is just the best and shows how even in the nightmare world Senku saved others and his connection with the village is revealed and the story of his father Byakuya is sorta told until the incident and that made me gasp like wow!
This was really good in all the great ways and I loved it, Senku getting the big moment and all the cool fights in between and sort of saving lives but more importantly the 100 tales being revealed and bringing the whole series full circle just wow and the art and writing even better, oof I just love it! this is where the series peaks!
With half of the protagonist's group being science nerds and not truly fit for battle, what's a fighting tournament going to look like when they're faced with actual powerhouses? Lowkey miracles of science, trickery, and pure dumb luck!
Fascinatingly, the science whiz was able to find out the exact mystery illness plaguing the village's shaman. And just like in an episode of House, the first surefire thing didn't work but the new symptoms presented itself in a way that reveals what it is, and I guess Senku's got general practitioner knowledge too aside from chemistry & physics & general Macgyver know-how, since it's something that can be cured. In thanks, the shaman tells the story of how the people of this village might all be descendants of the MC. What a twist! Probably also a TAKE THAT to any shippers on deck.
Okay, can we all agree that Byakuya Ishigami deserves to be nominated for Best Manga/Anime Dad Ever??? Because, I'm sorry, he is the FUCKING BEST and I wish other anime/manga dads were as awesome as him!
I have to say, I am LOVING the characters in this series and I never thought I would grow so attached to them considering Senku was the only one I liked in the beginning. But as the series progresses, I'm loving characters like Chrome, Kohaku, Suika, and Gen more and more. They're fun and engaging characters, but they can also be phenomenal assholes and I LOVE IT (except Suika, Suika's perfect and can do no wrong).
This last volume left off at one hell of a cliffhanger, but I'm going to give myself a break so I can digest the now five volumes I've binged in one day. I am loving this series and am so glad I gave it another chance.
📌Ginro high on dope is so fricken hilarious I almost wet my pants laughing out loud 📌Ruri's medicine! Finally! 📌BYAKUYA and his fatherly love (I can't stop crying!!)—and saving all 7 billion of people; and 📌Senku may be at times rude but he loved his father just the same!
Really loved this volume. That twist at the end really took me for a loop with Senku’s dad being the founder of the village. Also his dad is just really sweet, with him supporting the hell out of his son’s scientific experiments and naming the village after him. Fuck that’s just sad thinking about how he never got to see his son revive from the stone statue. Anyways I wasn’t expecting to like Kinro so much but I’ve started really rooting for him. Love Gen’s stupid little distraction when Chrome was fighting Magma, so fucking stupid I love it. Senku being too based and science pilled for marriage.

I liked how they balanced the action and emotional scenes in this one so smoothly. Sometimes it sounds ridiculous and exaggerated, but as long as it is entertaining and educational you won't find me complaining. 😊
This is another fast paced volume in which we get a glimpse into the culture of this world, as well as seeing a bit of the past and how things played out a bit. I'm interested to see what happens next!
Most of this volume is the tournament arc; that is not to say it is a bad tournament arc, moreover probably one of the better ones in manga. Emotional beats hit hard, you get the feeling that all the characters really care about each other.
Soyuz astronauts are a whole other story, tragic yet hopeful destiny that serves as the core of Dr. Stone from now until the end.
Cried a little at the end but mostly because it reminds me of Futurama when Fry finds out about his astronaut nephew who was named after him "to carry on his spirit 😭"
This is probably my favorite volume so far. The Grand Bout was great. The fights are intense but super silly as well. Chrome is actually super despite looking and acting like an idiot. The ending of this volume is also brilliant as we learn many things about this stone world and the village itself. Senku is hilarious as always. Inagaki never fails to make you laugh in every chapter. After finally learning some important things (which I'm not going to spoil), I am very curious about what happens next.
This series is so frustrating. It has a great premise to build a long running series around and the writer clearly has respect for scientific achievement. But it’s also clear that they’d rather just objectify women’s bodies instead of writing them as characters. I guess the arc it’s been building towards for awhile will be the big tell if this series is worth it or not.
I actually really like this volume, but I do have to wonder… why was the scene where Ruri was being given medicine drawn like that ;-; I cannot get over it. Knocked off a whole star because of how out of place that felt. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this volume! Especially how everyone’s rounds in the Grand Bout went.

This is awkward. I started reading volume 6 before 5…
What the hell? They managed to scrunch a tournament in here. *checks back cover and sees Shonen Jump* Ah, okay. That makes sense.
Entertaining. Humor's top notch. I can deal without all the “Science *** yeah!” only because it’s borderline religious worship. That’s kinda ironic due to some peeps modern day sensibilities. I’ve always put some stock in spiritual traditions and think it a tad unrealistic not to explore that or delve into superstition further. Missed opportunity if anything. Ah well, I still got the next volume. Get excite.
The tournament arc ends with a flop and then we get a backstory that's kind of interesting but also expected? Like, something I've been wondering about for a while, and now they're dropping it as a big plot reveal mixed with some resolution to Riri's acknowledgement of Senku. Much more action this volume, the only science was groan-worthy, and many of the characters' expressions were painful to see.
Kinro is beating Magma, but Magma plays dirty and smashes Suika's helmet while Kinro is distracted. Suprisingly, Ginro wins his round, but trouble is still ahead as Chrome must face Magma next. Chrome wins the match thanks to help from Senku and Gen. After defeating Ginro and becoming the chief, Senku must marry Ruri. Ruri comes down with pneumonia, so Senku makes her some ''sulfa drugs''.

I like the creative, familiar, and unfamiliar elements of this book.
This volume concludes the tournament arc, and gives us a bit of backstory of how the village came to be, and what the thing that turned everyone to stone looked like from above Earth.
Keep reading to find out what caused the stone phenomena.
