les mis? more like les mid. there were too many characters and too many time skips that i couldn’t get attached to anyone. i felt like i was just constantly getting introduced to the characters (probably because this was an abridged version)
i thought this book was extremely fine. i think the movie is way better though.
maybe because i read it in french i didn’t fully like GET it (lost in translation [or my french abilities]) but overall it was fine. i lived. unlike jean valjean 😜

Not as good as the real thing, but a solid meme. If you read French, would recommend.
