I am probably not the ideal audience for this book. It's a sort of guidebook/Disney secrets book combo, and I think it'll only be truly satisfactory for people looking for exactly that. There isn't enough specific, strategic information to make a great guidebook. (Let me suggest the Unofficial Guide if you like to be a super planner, or Passporters for a slightly less regimented vacation planning strategy.) As far as Disney secrets books go, this one is fine. There are way more comprehensive ones out there, and ones with much more specific focuses, like extinct attractions or historical easter eggs. If you just want Disney secrets, I'd suggest the Imagineering Field Guides. That said, there are a few interesting tidbits in here I hadn't seen anywhere else and the writing style is generally conversational enough to make for a quick read.
However, I have to point out that this book is heavily taken up with other people's work. There's pages upon pages that just quote trip advisor ratings for rides, and there's incredibly lengthy quotes. At one point, Goldberg pastes in a three page long quote from an article, likely almost the entire thing. Later, there's a potpuri sort of chapter that's roughly 90% quotes directly from Disney's website. I do appreciate that Goldberg at least cites his sources, but way too much of the book is just the words of other writers pasted into this book. It's really not hard to even paraphrase lightly this kind of information, and that Goldberg didn't do that kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
