Three charming Alpha suitors. One season to find a mate.
Zane has looked forward to coming out in society ever since he presented as an Omega. He’s dreamed of the spectacular parties, new clothes, and dashing Alphas filling his dance card.
But thanks to his scoundrel of a father, their family’s finances are in dire straights. Unless Zane marries well, he and his younger sister will be carted off to debtor’s prison.
Zane’s determined to save his family, even at the cost of his own happiness. Is it possible to find love in one short season?

I love Shane Honorae’s Night Pack series. And while this was written just as well as the Night Pack series, the world building was less magnificent. I still enjoyed it but it was rather predictable. The same ol’ same ol’. But it was satisfying to read another Shane Honorae production, while I wait impatiently for the next installment of the Night Pack series =]
I received this book by the author for an honest opinion. I absolutely loved this book and it kept a happy smile on my face from beginning to end. This book partners some of my favourite genres to read, regency and omega/alpha themed plots. This is the story of Zane an omega who is debuting his first season into society but its dampened by the prospect that he needs to marry a well to do alpha or face dire straits as his father is in financial distress mainly through his gambling and drinking. Zanes faced with 3 prospective alphas that pick his interest from an old friend, a scoundrel and a rich nice alpha. This is his story through being courted, temptation and conquering against circumstances to find his true love. At first I wasn't sure who Zane was going to pick so it kept the story interesting. This is the time old story plot of father forcing an advantageous marriage and bartering his offspring by good or foul means to avoid debtors prison but set into the alpha/omega world. I enjoyed this book as you don't tend to see many mpreg books set in this period and it was well written and flowed effortlessly. A nice all round book though at the end I would of liked a more finished conclusion with certain plot lines for instance, did his father end up in debtors prison and without giving too much away various characters plotlines that was in the story and what outcome it came to. A brilliant light romance that I really recommend to anyone who enjoys a good book. I would like to see a series branch out from this world on the various other characters mentioned in this book and of course Justin the omega that was briefly mentioned being ruined by a stable boy? I'd like to see his story maybe with a particular army man maybe?. Highly recommend.💜💙
The storyline was a change to the usual mpreg story lines, historically set with coming out parties for the new Omegas so they can find their Alpha.
All-in-all the writing was good, the story was a bit slow to start with as we learnt about the MCs. Some things were glossed over which impacted later in the story. The later part of the story was a bit rushed, the book either needed to be a bit longer or the first few chapters condensed.
Looking forward to reading more from this author.
I was supplied an ARC from the author for an honest & unbiased review.
Zane finds himself in a difficult situation, his family's survival is resting on his ability to make a profitable match. It's only his first season and while he thought he'd be able to enjoy his coming out and not have to worry about matrimony until the next season or the one after that, time is running out. The debtors are calling and after the very first ball he gets a rather rude awakening when he sees their belongings being carted out of their family home. His father has gambled and drunk their funds to such a point that his intelligent alpha sister will have to give up her education to join the army and unless Zane makes a good match he may end up with his family in debtor's prison or find a fate worse, much worse.
At his first ball he met three very different, very intriguing men. Lance Armstrong, a darkly handsome, wickedly magnetic man who makes Zane blush fiercely and tingle sinfully. Tobias Lochham, a friend from childhood grown into a very appealing man who makes Zane smile and laugh. And Thomas Bannerman, a handsome man who makes Zane comfortable and appeals to his love of fashion. Each man draws him in a different way and each opens the door to a very different future.
One by one he gets a taste of what things will be like with each of them. Dark promises of pleasure with Lance, light and laughter with Tobias, passion and shared interests with Thomas. Some visits are more pleasant than others and he's quickly being drawn to one of these men more than the other. And just when he thinks he's got a chance with the one he wants his world threatens to fall apart. His father has sold his next heat to cover his debts. With no word from the one who owns his heart he must run into the arms of his second choice and hope he's willing to save him despite his earlier rejection.
The ending was a bit more dramatic and surprising than I expected. There was also a quick and happy resolution to the horrible situation Zane found himself in. For having three very different suitors I was surprised at how well each situation was covered. While I might have liked a little more development between Zane and the two nicer choices there's no denying that what occurred between each couple was just enough to give a good idea of what Zane's future would look like with them. And with any regency romance the relationships are often very quick to develop so it's not unexpected.
Overall the story was written well and just long enough to not feel like important things were skipped. It was also short enough to maintain a sense of urgency within the reader that matched well with Zane's situation. Zane as a person, though, didn't really relate to me so when I read from his perspective over the course of the story I felt detached yet still interested in his plight. There's also the missing family of the suitor in the end as well as something more to solidify the romance between the end couple. I would have liked a little more transition from quick marriage to established couple visiting Zane's sister. But when we do get to the end it's clear that Zane is happy and in the best situation possible. His father's presence is still there but very removed and his sister gets her own version of happiness. A sweet and hopeful ending to balance the distress and frustration through most of the story.
This is a regency romance, with a plot you've read before. Destitute young lady whose father has gambled away all his fortune, is presented to society and attends fancy balls in the hope of finding a rich husband who will solve her financial situation. However, this story has a twist. Instead of a young lady, it is a young Omega male, Zane, whose family is in dire financial straits. Zane's father is an inveterate gambler and drinker, who has gambled his fortune away and the only hope of keeping Zane's father, his sister and himself out of debtor's prison is for Zane to find a rich husband as quickly as possible. When Zane returns from the ball, he finds things are worse than he thought: the debtors are already removing the best furniture and decorations from the house, to cover a portion of the debt. If he doesn't marry a rich man soon, they will be out on the street, homeless, before too long. Fortunately, Zane has met three Alpha males at the ball, who all seem interested in him, but time is running out. His father has found an alternate way to make money off of Zane, but it will cause him to be "ruined". Is he destined to be ruined and spend his life in a brothel or will one of the young men follow through and ask Zane to marry him? This book was provided to me by the author and, as a courtesy, I have voluntarily agreed to write this review.
I was inexorable drawn to this book after reading the blurb. Historical romance, Omegaverse style? Gimme!
I much enjoyed the following: • that there are several suitors, as oppose to a single Hero guy • the suitors personalities differ from one another (not just their looks) • our Omega's heart does not immediately decide upon which one of them is his Dreamboat • the different draws of attraction vs friendship throughout the story
What I found slightly lacking: • world building (If not tagged as a regency, I would have assumed it was any old paranormal alternative reality. I never felt immersed in a historical time period.) • we get very little of our Omega's everyday life other than attend ballrooms and have house visitors • characters sometimes on the verge of becoming too stereotypical
Would I read a sequel to this book: yes without hesistation!
First this is truly a short story. The pace rushes a bit, but the story is cute and fun and low-angst. I would've loved to see some expansion of the angst and conflict between potential suitors. The characters are adorable and fantastic and hooked me from go. I can't wait to see more from this world. The recency aspect is present, though faint. This is an absolutely perfect stress free read for when you don't have much time, but want to walk away feeling good.
What's an Omega to do with multiple suitors? He must decide not just for a mate but for a way out of the life he has been living, under an oppressive Alpha father, who makes like unbearable. How can he choose, it is difficult, but he does and it gets an HEA. Well done, Shane. I look forward to more of your work.
A great regency romance. Good storyline that is well written and developed. Zane, an omega, needs to find a rich alpha to marry in order to save his family. He has three suitors, time is running out, who will he pick? I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
This book was absolutely amazing. This book was a page turner that I just couldn't stop reading until the end. I had absolutely loved reading this book. I would highly recommend this book.
