Perilous Bliss

Scarred and tainted from his second ordeal, Kyr arrives in a peaceful haven called Ravenvale, the home of the Warrior Mage, Rajani, his friend and rescuer. Here, Kyr hopes for healing and rest, at last, though he knows by now that his beloved Goddess may require more sacrifices from him.
And indeed, beneath this tranquil surface, Kyr discovers long-hidden secrets and realizes that he has been terribly betrayed. In a storm of rage and despair, he plunges into the third hell of the Star-Seer’s Prophecy. Alienated from his friends, himself, and, worst of all, his beloved Goddess, Zhovanya, he flees to a mysterious tower, where he finds the solitude that is all he can bear. But the time has come, at last: the stars are moving into the pattern foreseen long ago by the Star-Seer.

Amazingly healing trilogy!
I started this trilogy without much expectation. I was just interested to see what it was about. That lasted a few pages and then I was hooked. I became absorbed in the vivid imagery, the depth of the characters and then the intensity of the suffering and pain initially with just the main character Kyr, but it fairly quickly expanded to the whole “family” of characters. It took me places in my own journey and ultimately my healing that I never expected. I am deeply grateful to Rahima Warren for having written this very powerful trilogy.
