Ben's storytelling adventures started as a Production Assistant on the set of the film, A River Runs Throught It. After forgetting to bring the crew's walkie talkies, losing Robert Redford's jacket and asking Brad Pitt if he was related to Paul Newman (in front of Paul Newman) he decided that film production didn't "speak" to him. Since no one else on the set would speak to him either he knew he needed to find work that required minimal human contact.
Writing. That did the trick.
His three series, Shirley Link, The Camelot Kids and Relics appeal to young and old alike. Emily Neuburger of Parents.com says, "[Shirley Link] is an amazing series!" and Julie Ann Grasso (author of the Adventure of Caramel Cardamom books) says The Camelot Kids will "leave you clutching onto your Kindle." Stephen King says, "I'm not providing blurbs at this time," but Ben is chipping away at King's resolve.

Winning combination of action and laugh out loud humour This is the 2nd book in a great new urban fantasy series, which started with Relic: Blade, with a winning combination of action and laugh out loud humour. There was action from the start with a great mixture of new characters and more depth to the ones you already knew from the first book. This story was addictive and kept me wanting to read more even though I knew I had to get up early for work in the morning?! This is turning into a great new series and I absolutely cannot wait to read more!
The protagonists, Rebel and Kane along with their motley crew dive headfirst into their next quest, The Hammer, yep, that one. It’s been located and the vampires want it bad. Bad is what they get when they run headlong into Kane’s team of “collectors”. Interesting twist on the ancient relic and it’s location. And interesting changes in the team members. As always plenty of action and drama plus a puzzle is unraveled. Great series and I heartily endorse it, two thumbs up. By the way the cover art is awesome and looks great in my book shelf. Try it you won’t be disappointed.
A new book in the series shows the characters growing, as well as the danger. The adventure is strong and steadfast, the world is in jeopardy, the world must be saved - but at what cost? The price may be high, but you will have to read it to find out.
Second in the series and Kane and Rebel are in Iceland trying to get to Thor's Hammer before the Vampires find it. Great fun and I'm enjoying finding out more about these very engaging characters.
This book takes you on a ride that moves so fast you can't get off, but you also do not want to get off. Really good book they just keep getting better and better. Will be purchasing the next book to continue the ride.
Fun and hilarious book. Really enjoy all the places this book and series take you. I definitely did not see this ending coming. Quickly becoming one of those series I cannot get enough of.
This story does it all! I would say that this is another win in my book. Your stories never disappoint and I absolutely cannot wait until the next one!!!
An impressive follow up to the first book--really glad I kept reading. I laughed aloud too many times to count and forced the reason WHY I was laughing onto the lucky people in my life, sometimes snapping screenshots of highlighted jokes and sending them as texts to other readers I know.
They’ll thank me later.
Kane is a bit of a brat, but a lovable brat, and Rebel is a badass that I kind of adore. I'd follow them on any adventure at this point, I think.
Epic, long ending that played out almost as good as a Brandon Sanderson finale (which is saying a lot, since those finales are unbeatable).
