Paavannan (Birth Name: P. Bhaskaran) (Born: October 20, 1958) is a Tamil author who has made significant contributions to fiction, literary criticism, and children's literature. Furthermore, he actively participates in translations from Kannada to Tamil. He depicted the geographical area around Cuddalore and Pondicherry in a direct and realistic style. He has been recognized for his substantial contributions to the rise of the Tamil Dalit literary movement by translating Dalit literature from Kannada to Tamil.
