In a dark-ages world where magic is real, the battle between good and evil includes dark force beings like devils, demons and imps. Created by the Evil One to bring him the souls of those committed to him when they die. An imp is a being made of magic, who can 'blink' from Earth to Hell and back in an instant. Imps have magic of their own they use to go about the task. Offered bribes of magic and powerful spells by witches and wizards to keep them from being consumed in the depths of Hell, one imp goes astray. Bored with the task of delivering souls, Lynx the imp stays on Earth and gets into all kinds of mischief. His favorite pastime is setting up dark witches and wizards to be destroyed. Stealing their magic and spells for himself. He makes sure good witches and heroes do the actual destroying. But that is mostly so he doesn't get sick taking in the good karma from the deed. As a sideline he also takes up sinking pirates or arranging things so they fight each other. Then he steals their treasure for his own use and hides it away. He enjoys his life as an imp making mischief for dark side, even though he knows if he's caught, there will be the Devil to pay.
