Wieder ein sehr spannendes Abenteuer, dieses Mal unter Wasser. Sehr mitreißend und rasant, wie die anderen Teile auch schon. Peter Kaempfe hat wunderbar gelesen, sodass ich das Hörbuch kaum ausstellen wollte😃

Also this book convinced me from beginning to end. very exciting and makes you want to the next two parts! I really need to know how it goes with Simon and his friends and I'm still sent how much the poor 12 year old children have to go through there 🙈

When Simon finds out, that his friend Jam has to go home to Avalon during their Christmas vacation, he is absolutely thrilled. That means that he has a wonderful opportunity to find the next pieces he needs to put back together one of the dangerous weapons that could destroy everything he knows.
It turns out, that the entire Animalgam society has a picture of Jam´s home that is not really the case. No days at the beach playing or just swimming and enjoying the sun. This time the setting is underwater. And with that, Simon faces some unexpected difficulties. Not only the rules are very strict, but Simon and his friends are under permanent observation. No sneaking around, no searching for unexpected treasures or other things.
The author shows all the problems and challenges Simon and his friends have to face and to struggle within a very sensitive way. The plot is diverse, full of action and unexpected twists and turns.
Simon is a boy with a big heart, who knows what is right and what is not right and how to get things done. Sure, his plans aren´t always good ones, but sitting at home or in his room and doing nothing while others do the dirty work, is not his thing. And that often means trouble.
What a great continuation of the other two books in this series. With some new figures and the main character who shows that he´s learned his lessons. It was great to watch how Simon´s development has made progress and how he is treating his friends and family. What he does to keep them safe.

Dieser Teil hat mir besser gefallen als Band 2. Es gab hier mehr Action, Spannung und Emotionen. Und es kommt ein neuer entscheidender Charakter dazu und man findet über mehrere Charakter deutlich mehr heraus, auch überraschendes. Aus Spoilergründen kann ich da aber nicht näher drauf eingehen.
In diesem Band reisen Simon und seine Freunde in das Unterwasserreich in dem Jams Vater regiert. Man lernt sein Familie kennen, vor allem wie anders diese zu dem ist, was man bisher so kennengelernt hat in der Reihe. Der General (Jams Vater) regiert sehr streng. Da sieht man bis auf in einer Szene nichts väterliches und auch der Rest seiner Familie und eigentlich das gesamte Reich sind einfach nur militärisch und kühl.
In diesem Band arbeiten die Freunde wieder mehr zusammen. Das habe ich ja im letzten Band etwas bemängelt. Hier ist es besser, aber trotzdem wirkt Simon einfach wieder viel zu überlegen im Vergleich zu seinen Freunden, die ihre Fähigkeiten bereits ihr ganzes Leben eingesetzt haben. Auch macht er wieder vieles allein oder seine Freunde sind halt eher nettes Beiwerk bei seinen 'Heldentaten'. Irgendwie stößt mir das halt auf. Das war aber das einzige was mich an dem Band gestört hat. So anders war es wirklich unterhaltsamer als der letzte Teil und die vielen neuen Tiere haben mir auch sehr gefallen.
Die viele Dinge, die wenig Sinn ergeben, wenn man zu viel darüber nachdenkt, versuche ich auszublenden. Es ist halt ein Kinderbuch und wahrscheinlich sollte man da einfach den Kopf abschalten. Allerdings ergibt selbst die große Aufgabe, die Simon hat wenig Sinn aus meiner Sicht, denn man könnte das Problem ja längst auch mit der Zerstörung eines einzigen Teils erreichen. Auch, dass sich Simon ohne Probleme selbst in die Ausgefallensten Tiere verwandeln kann, ist extrem unlogisch. Er kennt die meisten Tiere davon nicht einmal und soll dann mit Willenskraft ihre Gestalt annehmen? Und wenn man bedenkt, wie ein Kind laufen lernt, so ist es auch sehr unwahrscheinlich, dass Simon jede Art der Fortbewegung, der Tiere in die er animagiert, gleich ohne Probleme imitieren kann.
Naja, diese Ungereimtheiten, holen mich manchmal etwas aus der Handlung heraus, aber trotzdem finde ich die Reihe unglaublich unterhaltsam. Ich werde auch gleich mit dem nächsten Band beginnen.

Auf der Suche nach den weiteren Teilen der mächtigsten Waffe des Bestienkönigs, verschlägt es Simon und seine Freunde ins Reich der Meeressäuger. Die Reise führt sie unter Wasser in das Reich Altanis, in dem sein Freund Jam zuhause ist. Aber Orion ist ihnen schon auf den Fersen und immer einen Schritt voraus. Simon setzt alles daran, den Kristall zuerst zu finden, was gar nicht so einfach ist.
Auch den 3. Teil dieser Reihe habe ich wieder als Hörbuch gehört, denn Peter Kämpfe liest die Reihe wirklich toll vor. Ich bin wirklich froh, dass der Verlag die Reihe bisher komplett vertont hat und hoffe, dass auch die weiteren Teile als Hörbuch erscheinen werden.
Wieder konnte mich die Geschichte in den Bann ziehen. Ähnlich wie in den anderen beiden Teilen, ist die Handlung wieder sehr abenteuerlich und spannend erzählt. Simon und seine Freunde geraten immer wieder in Gefahr und müssen jede Menge Abenteuer bestehen.
Die Freundschaft zwischen den einzelnen Charakteren festigen sich langsam. Sogar Simons Zwillingsbruder wird langsam aber sicher zu einem Verbündeten. Die Welt, in die uns die Autorin dieses Mal entführt, hat mir unheimlich gut gefallen. Die Handlung spielt überwiegen unter Wasser, was ich wirklich sehr interessant fand. Die Autorin überrascht den Leser mit vielen Wendungen, mit denen ich nicht gerechnet habe.

Ich bin immer noch genauso begeistert wie nach dem ersten Band! Die Spannung lässt nicht nach, es gibt immer noch überraschende Wendungen und Familiengeheimnisse aufzudecken und ich liebe, wie hier Familie, Freundschaft und Loyalität in allen Facetten dargestellt wird! Außerdem habe ich eine Schwäche für Unterwasserwelten und ich sage nur: Haie, Orca, Oktopus!

This book was great. If you haven’t read the first two books, this will spoil the events of the past two so *^SPOILS OF BOOK 1 AND 2 YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED^*
Okay so pretty much the main character Simon Thorn (in case you haven’t figured that out from the title) is an Animalgam (no, it’s not pronounced animal-gam like I thought for over a year, it is pronounced ani-mal-gam. Why? I have no idea.) This is a race that can turn into animals. Now normal people can only turn into one animal like a snake or something, but Simon has a great (infinite) grandfather who was really evil and used some overpowered weapon to kill Animalgams and steal their powers, the Predator (if your still confused, it functions the same as All for One, if you have watched My Hero Academia.) His mom was captured by his evil bird grandpa because she is smart and knows where the pieces of the weapon is.
So in order to get one of the pieces, he had to go to the reptile kingdom (and yes, there are five kingdoms, they all hate each other yatta yatta whatever. Also your not really supposed to marry someone from another kingdom, but people do it anyways so that rule stays relevant) and literally steals it. Oh and also he ran away from home without permission to do so. So yeah, Simon breaking laws left and right is a staple for this series.
So it’s December and it’s almost Christmas so Jam’s dad wants him to come home for the holidays. But Simon is like “hey, this is a great chance to break more laws and steal stuff.” So he manipulates Jam into asking his dad if he can come too with all his friends. Well of course Jam’s dad said no because the kid ditched school and ran across the country without supervision and the kid he wanted to invite was the one who started it. But there is 200+ pages left so Simon goes because Jam tipped off that Simon’s evil relatives are trying to steal all the pieces of the overpowered weapon so now it has started a national emergency or something so every important person in existence has to go to Jam’s dad because he is important. Simon’s uncle is important, Ariana is important, and Winter comes because Simon’s uncle, the Alpha, told Jam’s dad, the general (the leader of the underwater kingdom) she was his girlfriend or something \._./. Oh and Simon’s bratty twin brother is important.
So Ariana is scared of water so on the entire way there she throws up. They ride on a boat and a submarine on the coast of California because PLOT TWIST the city is underwater. But instead of sunbathing the city is a military society. And they are racist against birds and snakes (go Simon and Winter you got this!) Simon almost gets away with another crime, sneaking his pet into the city, but oh well I guess a general in the military is smarter than a twelve year old. So his mouse, Felix is held captive. Nothing of relevance happens until we learn Nolan has an *^<•ILLEGAL•>^* relationship with one of Jam’s thousands of sisters.
But Simon’s evil granddaddy is stalking the underwater kingdom so everyone is nervous. The general decided this it is a great time to move the piece even though literally everyone is telling him not to. Simon decides to stalk them so he can steal it later. But Jam and the general get attacked by traitor sharks and the piece goes missing to make the book twenty pages longer. Well the general is gravely hurt and people now want to kill Simon’s mom for some reason. Now Simon discovers his mouse is a traitor and his other grandpants is not evil. Simon still hates him. He finds the piece and Nolan’s girlfriend almost kills Simon because she is a traitor. Nolan beats her up and one thing leads to another and Ariana bit Orion and he is dying. Everyone wants him to die but Simon’s mom is like “Hey! I know where the piece for the bird kingdom is but Orion is gonna live anyways.”
So Simon’s mom is still held hostage, his grandmother has stolen his hint postcards from his mom, and Ariana’s mom is dying. But the most tragic part of this is that Nolan has to leave his illegal love behind. Here is a tough lesson Nolan: you can’t have illegal love relationships but the main character can as long as it is relevant to the plot.
All jokes aside this book series is great. It’s my favorite book series ever and I think it’s really good so if you have spare time like most people on this planet read it. My name is Jam, and the General, my father, has allowed me to bring my friends back to my home. This has allowed Simon and me to search for the underwater kingdom's piece of the Predator before Orion steals it. The ruler of the bird kingdom wants to unite all the Predator's pieces, so he can use its powers to reign over all Animalgam kingdoms. Unfortunately, the General wanted to move his piece from its hiding place, and we were ambushed by sharks working for Orion. Simon saved us from death by changing into an orca whale, but the General was seriously wounded. We've learned Orion is planning an attack on the compound and has been secretly getting information from a spy inside Atlantis. A war between the Animalgam kingdoms is waiting to erupt, Simon may be charged with treason, and my sister wants to kill his mother. And I may become the next ruler of the underwater kingdom!
You don't need to read the previous books to enjoy this one, but I recommend you do. The format is similar to book two, as Simon and friends try to keep Orion, Simon's grandfather, from getting his hands on the pieces of the Predator. The weapon will allow Orion to change into any animal, which other Animalgams fear. Although he is the main antagonist, his actual character is not directly involved in most of the plot. Simon wants to get all the Predator pieces first to destroy it, so this quest is the main conflict. An added twist to the whole series is that Simon and his twin brother are naturally able to become any animal, although Simon is keeping his ability secret. Even his brother doesn't know, which adds another source of suspense between the characters. The underwater setting of the book limits which characters are able to leave Atlantis and enter the deep ocean waters. For that reason, most of the action in the plot focuses on Jam and Simon. You won't like this book if you don't like humans becoming animals. However, you might learn a little bit about underwater creatures if you give it a shot.

Kaum ist Simon zu Hause schon reisen er und seine Freunde wieder ab. Diesmal geht in den tiefen des Meeres in die Stadt der Haie. Perfekt um nach einen weiteren Kristall zu suchen, in der Hoffnung, dass dieser nicht irgendwo im weiten Meer versteckt ist.
Endlich ist die Heimat von Jam dran. Hier habe ich mich schon drauf gefreut da ich wissen wollte wie seine Heimat so ist. Da diese ja unter Wasser sein müsste. Und auch auf den General war ich schon sehr gespannt, da ja Jam ihn als sehr streng beschrieben hat. Einiges an Geheimnis wurde hier gelüftet aber auch neue Vertraute und Freundschaften wurden geschlossen. Doch wenn man wirklich vertrauen kann ist hier sehr schwer zu unterscheiden. Gefallen hat mir das Nolan mit von der Partie war und hoffe das er in den restlichen Büchern auch mehr drin vor kommt. Denn er ist wie Simon irgendwie verloren und freut sich das seine Familie gewachsen ist.
Auch hier hat die Autorin wieder kleine Rückblenden zu den Vorgängern eingebaut was mir gut gefällt, wenn man bedenkt dass as Buch für ein junges Publikum gedacht ist.
Die Geschichte ist wieder sehr spannend und man merkt dass man auf den ersten Blick nicht immer alles erfasst und auch mal hinter der Fassade schauen muss.
Ich freue mich schon sehr auf den nächsten Band.
Endlich ist die Heimat von Jam dran. Hier habe ich mich schon drauf gefreut da ich wissen wollte wie seine Heimat so ist. Da diese ja unter Wasser sein müsste. Und auch auf den General war ich schon sehr gespannt, da ja Jam ihn als sehr streng beschrieben hat. Einiges an Geheimnis wurde hier gelüftet aber auch neue Vertraute und Freundschaften wurden geschlossen. Doch wenn man wirklich vertrauen kann ist hier sehr schwer zu unterscheiden. Gefallen hat mir das Nolan mit von der Partie war und hoffe das er in den restlichen Büchern auch mehr drin vor kommt. Denn er ist wie Simon irgendwie verloren und freut sich das seine Familie gewachsen ist.

Meine Meinung:
Wer mich kennt, der weiß das ich von Aimée‘s Schreibstil völlig angetan bin. Sie schreibt einfach so unglaublich lebendig und lässt mich so stets in die Geschichte abtauchen. Durch ihren flüssigen und lebhaften Stil ist es auch im dritten Band so gewesen, dass ich für das Buch nicht lange gebraucht habe. Ich bin ihrem Stil einfach verfallen, mehr kann man dazu nicht sagen.
Für mich war das Wiedersehen mit Simon und seinen Freunden einfach super toll, denn ich habe ihn schon vermisst. Ich war sehr darauf gespannt, wie sich die Charaktere weiterentwickeln und ich war ernsthaft erstaunt! Meiner Meinung nach haben sich wirklich alle Charaktere, insbesondere Simon und Nolan, richtig toll weiterentwickelt und sind richtig gewachsen. Wie immer haben sie alle Mein Herz für sich erobert und ich vermisse sie schon jetzt erneut sehr.
Das dritte Abenteuer von Simon Thorn und seinen Freubden war von der Handlung und dem Handlungsstrang her ein echtes Highlight. Die Geschichte war wieder einmal sehr aufregend und spannend gestaltet, so, dass ich immer die Zeit vergessen habe und das Buch sehr schnell zu Ende gelesen war. Von der Handlung und deren Strang, muss ich sagen das diese greifbar und völlig fesselnd war, was ich persönlich sehr gemocht habe.
Mein Fazit:
Abschließend kann ich sagen, dass der dritte Band dieser grandiosen Reihe seinen Geschwistern davor in nichts nachsteht. Das dritte Abenteuer von Simon und seinen Freunden war einfach genau so perfekt und spannend wie die ersten beiden Bände, deshalb bleibt mir keine andere Wahl, als auch hier die goldene Krone zu vergeben!

Zusammen mit seinen Freunden reist Simon in die Unterwasserwelt, um nach dem zweiten Teil des Greifstabes zu suchen. Dieser muss zusammen gesetzt und zerstört werden. Leider gibt es ein Problem, die Unterwasserwelt ist riesig! Da Simon die Fähigkeit besitzt sich in jedes Tier zu verwandeln, suchen er und sein Freund Jam im Meer nach dem zweiten Teil...
Mir hat das Buch sehr gut gefallen, da ich die Reihe an sich sehr mag. Außerdem waren die neuen Figuren einigermaßen freundlich 😂 und manche auch lustig. Das Buch hatte spannende, lustige oder auch Mal entspannte stellen. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf den nächsten Band und hoffe er wird genauso gut wie die vorherigen Bänder.

Auch im dritten Teil der Reihe hat wieder sehr viel gepasst - mit Spannung wurde nicht gegeizt, die Charaktere entwickeln sich weiter, einzig das Verhältnis zwischen den Brüdern Simon und Nolan kann in meinen Augen auch nur sehr langsam besser werden, wenn der eine Bruder nach wie vor das Wichtigste überhaupt im Leben der Brüder geheim hält. Aber natürlich bleibt es somit auch zwischen den beiden schwierig, vielleicht war das Sinn der Charakterzeichnung...
Was mir am besten gefällt ist die anwachsende Freundschaft innerhalb der Gruppe und auch zwischen den Brüdern entsteht ein feines Band, das stärker sein könnte, würde Simon nicht an den Geheimnissen halten.

This is such a good book!! The Series is amazing for that fact. I am in eight grade and started reading the series in late 7th grade. The only problem is, The author, Aimee carter, can't make a book 4 or 5 in English. The reason why is because her US publisher thinks the book doesn't have as much interest. We need to prove them wrong. If you love mystery and the bonds of friendship and hidden worlds, then READ THIS BOOK and right a review about it so her editor can see that we Want book 4 and 5 In ENGLISH. Come on guys we can do it. If we try!!

I enjoyed all of these books, but the world started losing its luster. It doesn't quite feel like a real society run by adults, but rather a backdrop against which Simon can have his adventure. I found myself a bit annoyed with Simon and his constant insistence to save everyone. I also grew tired of him hiding his intentions from the adults and trying to do it alone with a bunch of kids. I know he keeps being told not to trust anyone, but it just didn't quite land because it felt more like a device to keep Simon moving in the autonomous fashion that a middle grade novel requires.

I thought this book was great in every single way because it has mostly everything I want in a fantasy book to keep me interested. I also recommend this book to anyone who like to read about animals and fantasy books. This book mostly talks about loyalty and trusting other people. So I really like this book and I really ant to read the other two but they are currently not out yet but I guess I can wait.

The third book in this series doesn't disappoint. The story moves to the underwater kingdom where relationships are tense and discipline is rigidly enforced. Simon sees Jam with his family and sees how they treat each other -lots of undercurrents in these relationships.
Looking forward to reading Book 4 when we move to the insect kingdom.

Really good book and very exciting for those who enjoy fantasy in the teens. Simon thorn is the main character and he is a special animalgam which is a secret race of people who can shift into animals. But Simon can change into any animal he wants but others, most of the animalgam population, can only change into one animal.

Les personnages évoluent, l'intrigue aussi et il me tarde de lire les 2 derniers tomes pour savoir comment tout ça va se finir !"

Ich finde es faszinierend, wie die Autorin unterschiedliche Regierungssystem in den unterschiedlichen Reichen implementiert hat. Und es hat mir richtig gut gefallen, dass man mal sieht, wie cool Jam eigentlich ist. Er wirkt immer so schüchtern und stellt sein Licht ständig unter den Scheffel, aber diesmal hat er es allen gezeigt!

Es geht um einen Jungen Namens Simon der die Teile des Greifstabes sucht um ihn zu zerstören , aber sein Großvater ( der Großvater ist der böse) verhindert ihn daran und hält seine Mutter gefangen. Mithilfe von seinen Freunden und den Animoxkräften versuchen sie es zu schaffen.

I absolutely loved the first three books! Despite the fact that I read the third book first, I still went back to read the first two (and the third again) and really enjoyed it. Very well written! I am devistated that the next two books aren't out in english (yet) and sincerely hope that they can be published sometime soon!!!

I enjoyed the focus on one of the other main characters and getting to see how another kingdom operates. The book has fun new ways of showing the kingdoms and the stakes are high! Definitely another great book and I can’t wait to be able to read the next one!
