New York Times and USA Today bestselling author A.C. James writes paranormal romance and erotica, including Eternal Ever After (rebranded as Eternal Lover), featured in the bestselling Spice Box anthology. Her Ever Dark Immortals Series, which begins with Eternal Lover, has been described as “brimming with sensuality” and “romantic and sizzling hot.” The Isle of the Horse Shifters series starts with Ride: Awakening and is “lighthearted,” which is a “joy ride from beginning to end.”
She resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with her adoring husband Ron (aka Mr. A.C. James), who loves her imaginative yarns and punny sense of humor. She’s also a domestic violence advocate and discusses intimate partner violence and addiction to raise awareness on social media and through her writing. Many of her books include themes like alcoholism or addiction. If you love books that feature underdogs and redemption, her stories will capture your heart.
She spends most of her time drinking large vats of coffee while wrangling kids by day and writing by night. Recovering video game beta tester and tech geek who grew up going to cons and watching SmackDown. There’s probably some cosplay pictures around somewhere of her dressed up as Bloodberry from Saber Marionette J. Just don’t tell anyone.
they’d only just found one another. He couldn’t believe that she was his forever—his mate, and his woman to love. She was everything. Did she still find it hard to believe Sage wanted her? SQUEEEEEE! What an ABSOLUTELY BLOODY perfect ending!!! Or is it?? I love, Love, LOVE this entire Puca Mates series! What a SHIFTACULAR & EXPLOSIVE Grande Finale!! It's ABSO-BLOODY-LUTELY SEN-PUCA-SATIONAL!! While there was definitely a couple of twists and shocks that I did NOT see coming, maybe even one really sad part, there is also so much good & happy and well, all I won't say anything more other than A.C. James gave these PUCALICIOUS characters one helluva MATENIFICENT Grande Finale x 12!! She didn't rush or gloss over any single bit! Every character, couple and family was given their Furry Tail Ending in some way, shape or form! Between so much going on, my nerves on edge, the intensity... ummm, intensifying, I actually had to read this story 3 times before I felt confident enough that I had read & absorbed at least 90% of it all!! The first time, no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't go slow enough to take it all on! So once I finished Ride: Finale for the first time and knew how everything was going to play out, I went back to try to absorb it all. But I STILL wasn't able to... OK! OK!! The truth is that I just couldn't MARE to let go and if I kept reading & re-reading it, then maybe I wouldn't have to accept that this is really THE END! This truly is one helluva RIDE that I love, Love, LOVE and while I never wanted it to end, this is one Happily Ever After Puca Tail worthy of the Guardian Clan! This is it… I found love. I never thought that it would happen to me, but it did. Sorry for cutting this short, but I still have some packing to do! My RIDE of a lifetime starts... NOW!
I love these stories about the Puca. They are such a close knit community, and were protected from humans for hundreds of years. But now that humans know about them, some want to hurt the peaceful, loving Puca. The Puca band together to save their pregnant queen. But Cyn's capturers are crazy fanatics, and don't care who they hurt.
The last of the series and it ends with another babby and an orgasm or two. Wonderful read first time in a while I've actually finished a series I've started. I usually give up halfway through because all the stories to show a repeat of the last. This series made each story unique, I was quite impressed.
Thankfully I was able to buy this series in a bundle, so I didn't have to wait between books. I absolutely recommend it . i t is greatly entertaining and the characters are very compelling. It is a complex rollercoaster of a series. Enjoy!
The story is done, boo boo!The story was great and if you haven't started reading any of them yet you are really missing out.Start at the beginning and enjoy. You will love all the characters.
I could not stop reading this series. I just read one after the other. The characters came alive and felt as if the kept off the page. The drew me into their individual journeys and made me want more 🥰
What a story I can't believe it's finished This series is really awesome I love the stallions and there mates Feeling a bit sad that it's over Oh well on to another series
This was one bang of an ending to a series. I kept waiting for things to fall apart. All of the action to save Cyn. And Maeliosa being strong for both of them. Sage working with Fallon. It was like an orchestrated ballet but with a lot more anxiety and worry. Making sure that the good guys win and that everyone is safe. The ending was sweet and endearing. Best of all the ending left it so that there was room for more should A.C. James decide to revisit this series.
This book did it! It ended the series (I think) on a major high note! Everyone is happy! This is the kind of series I like to see, but I hope for more. Rarely does a book make me sad because it is over, but this one did it. I am really hoping it comes with more books (eventually), but I am not sure that will happen. Sage and Maeliosa are amazing together, just like Niall and Felicity were. I would love to see more from Tomas and Keiran. Maybe see if Nathan makes an appearance again?
This series ended on such a high note, but the idea of knowing there is a possibility of more to come is too delicious to ignore. I am not saying there will be more, but I am really hoping! Fantastic!
This is the last book in the series. You have to read episodes 9-11 for this to make sense. Maeliosa is being held by some humans from the Only Human group as well as the Queen. The Queen is being held to lure the King Puca out so they can kill him. This book contains the rescue and the happy ending. Sage is instrument in saving both Maeliosa and the queen. This is a great action read and a sweet ending. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my review.
Maeliosa woke up in a strange, dark, dank smelling room. Cyn, captured by the Only Humans group and being used as bait to lure Fallon out, was chained to a chair beside her. Maeliosa was very worried about the safety of her family. Unfortunately, Maeliosa mentioned Cyn’s pregnancy and Nathan, hiding on the dark stairs, heard her! This made matters much more serious!
Cyn’s family in the meantime had a plan to rescue them. They tracked them to the old house where they were being held. But Maeliosa had managed to get herself untied and unlocked the cuffs on Cyn. Their captors heard them and the leader pointed a gun at Cyn. Maeliosa jumped in front of her to protect her and was seriously wounded in the stomach. The rescue team burst in, but it was too late to stop the gunfire. Would they get Maeliosa back home in time to save her life? She was unconscious and bleeding heavily, and they had a distance to cover. And Cyn had been bleeding, perhaps the beginning of a miscarriage? Would they be able to save her baby?
The author has brought us to the final episode, filled with suspense and heartache! The characters are, by now, like family to the reader. We can feel the determination and fear of the Puca clan. I highly recommend this wonderful series! You definitely need to read this one and see how it all turns out! I was given a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it. My comments reflect my honest opinion.
This book is the last in the series and is very much a Suspense Thriller Romance unfortunately Maeliosa Sage's new bride has been taken also by the Only Human kidnappers and now she is somewhere in the house they are watching along with Cyn Sage and Fallon are looking for a way in so that they can rescue their wives Sage comes up with a plan and he has Niall and Tomas to watch the surrounding area and then he and Fallon go to the back of the house and with sage on Fallon's shoulders he is able to break in a window and that is the first step toward the rescue of their women. When Maeliosa finally regains consciousness she has a serious headache she is tied up and when she opens her eyes she sees her step mother Cyn and they begin to talk about trying to escape but the ropes are not so easy for her to break through and Cyn is crying and neither realizes that someone is inside of the door upstairs it is Nathan he overhears something that Cyn did not want know especially to him but Maeliosa couldn't take it back this may cost her her life time will tell they can only hope for a swift rescue. Great ending to a pretty interesting series. I received this book for an honest review which I have provided.
You get scared people then you get stupid scared people. Scared people find it hard to adjust to things that are different cause they don't understand it. They may do and say some hurtful things but in time they adapt. They may still be scared but they try and understand different. Stupid scared are people who don't listen and don't want to understand different. They use it as an excuse to cause harm and start a war. No matter what you say you will never get through to them. Only Human group? Stupid scared.
The last book was so emotional right through. I had tears in my eyes throughout most of this part.
Maelíosa’s and Cyn are in deep trouble now. Can Sage and Fallon get to them before all hell breaks loose? So much hate and love in the same place. The problem is this much hate hurts people.
I absolutely love this gang and how they look out for each other, and the love? So oooo much love and faith is enough to make you jealous and want to jump into the story. SAGE is soo hot going all Seal again to help save Cyn, really jealous but happy for Maelíosa. Brilliant, awesome, heartbreaking and fun to read.

The end of a great run (pun intended). This has been so wonderful, with a new—to me—shifter race, and some scrappy females with a nasty bunch of villains. Sage has is all back to fighting strength and is not about to be left behind to save his mate's step mom and good friend. The bad guys have kidnapped a very pregnant Cyn. None of them followed Fallon's directions to stay at home—did we think they would? Now, will they be able to rescue her? How about the baby? It is always risky for a human to carry a Puca baby under the best of conditions. Tied to a chair in a damp basement is hardly that. While there is going to be a rough go, Ms. James wouldn't let us down, would she? Enjoy the end and visit all the players once again to say goodbye to a great series. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
A rollercoaster of emotions and intense scenes with a little humour mixed in. I loved seeing what happened to Maeliosa’s mother when she was younger and how strong she was when she first took responsibility caring for her little sister, Darcy. I loved that no matter what she tries to stay positive and not let anything get in her way. The same with Sage, I thought they were perfect for each other. I loved the interactions and cute ending with this one. A very fast and easy read and an overall really good storyline throughout all the books in the series. I liked each character and loved being a part of their world and going through their lives with them all.

Please note that each of the episodes are short quick reads. Definitely for 18+ due to sexual situations. Very hot and steamy. Not be read as a standalone. Read each individual episode in order. This does not end in a cliffhanger, but the story is not finished. It will continue in future episodes.
The characters and setting are well described in the blurb for the episode and I'm not going to recap all of that in my review. Please read the blurb for more info on Sage and Maeliosa and the Isle of Inis Mor.
This is the final book in Season Three and the series. During the rescue of the Queen, Maeliosa find herself in danger. Will Sage be able to save both her and the Queen in time?'
The book starts full of action and it made me feel as if I was walking with Sage to get to Maeliosa and Cyn. The middle part of this part of the story made me want them to hurry and hurry. It felt like a lot could go wrong.
The end made me happy. Of course I was counting on a happy ending, but you never know.
Great story all four of them. I like the story of Sage and Maeliosa, but also that the others are in it. Do you need to read the other two stories first? Not really, but it does make it easier to understand even the little details. And the other two stories are fantastic too, so why not read them?
Exciting, fast paced, explosive ending, everyone seems to get what they have coming to them! Sage’s buddy really came through and even Fallon learns to accept Sage’s leadership (at least for the rescue) and expertise. I am sad to see the end of these characters and their story (though could there be a spin off with “The Stables”?) regardless, this is a thrilling ending to a wonderful series. **I voluntarily chose to review a copy of this book and I have not been compensated in any way**
An amazing finale for an amazing series! This book is chocked full of suspense and heroic scenes. Two of the beloved characters are injured which places their mates on edge. This epic finale totally plays on your emotions! The pages will easily fly by just so you can find out what happens! This series is filled with cliffhangers, but this finale could not have been any more perfect! This voluntary review is based against an advance copy
When we pick up the story again, humans first has both Maeliosa and Cyn. That leaves the men to save the women. If they can. When time is up for Cyn Maeliosa shields her step mom with her own body. Can Sage she the women who has become his life? WOW what a series. Love the action, intrigue, mystery and spice in this one. Amazing Shifter fans your going to love this series Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it
The final installment in this series was wonderfully written. I was not able to put the book down once I started it. I am sorry to see the Puca go, as I would have loved to read more from the series. This is one series that I would recommend to someone who likes shifters. Thank you for the great stories and I cannot wait until something new comes out from this author. I voluntarily read this advanced copy.
This is what all the books have been striving for !! Mates for all Pucas, new life being born after nearly being lost and the possibility of even more along the way . Sage has helped save the Puca Queen Cyn and has cemented his place in Maeliosa's heart and the Puca Stable. 5⭐'s for A C James and the finale of the Puca series. I received a gifted copy from f the book and am voluntarily choosing to leave an honest and unbiased review.
The season finale...Episode 12...Saving the best for last. Wow! Plenty of action and suspense had me zipping through this read with a quickness. I couldnt wait to find out if the Pucas rescued Cyn...if the baby was going to be okay...and a few other surprises along the way. Don't miss this last episode!
It is sad to see the series end. In this last book, the women are in jeopardy and will need the help of everyone to save them from those who hate their kind. Of course, we get a happily ever after for our couples who have survived much to find their mates.
Couldn't have been a better final book in a series! A must read! If you like paranormal, this is the perfect book for you. This series was my first reading about Puca(shape shifting horses). I admit I was a bit skeptical at first. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The entire series was full of action, suspense and some very steamy scenes. I highly recommend. This book was gifted to me.
I Voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. What a great way to end a series. I can not stress enough how much these books have touched me with the Magikal atmosphere of being mates. When you least expect it, there was heartache, grief, laughter, crying and happiness when reading this book. Great series and look forward to more writings from this author.
