Girl meets Boy.
Girl falls in love with Boy.
Boy uses Girl.
Boy pissed off the wrong Girl.
Girl gets revenge.
Revenge is not as sweet if you have your own secrets to hide.

Aspen was a girl that fell in love with a boy incapable of loving her. She spent years fighting for everything that was taken, unwillingly. There was no way to take back the night that haunted her, even after removing the nightmares that were supposed to fade with the death of Tracy. She had a plan, she had the weapon, she ended the life of the man that ruined her…but she was wrong.

Ethan watched as Aspen killed over and over again before going separate ways. He poured the gasoline as she struck the match until his past caught up with him. As she tore the soul from anyone in her way, no man or woman was safe as long as she was free. Years went by without a single word, leaving only a body count along the county highways. He followed her path, documented her victims and knew it was only a matter of time before she would come for him. He was right.

Aspen was not done, she was bored and was moving way too close to Ethan and his secrets.

A love for reading and writing is a new concept for Virginia. Before the Twilight rave and a need to know the ending after Eclipse was released in theaters, Virginia preferred to watch the movie or convince a friend to read the book for her.

Needing to know the story of a random homeless man that she encountered on a freeway exit ramp, was the only reason she began writing in the first place.
Soulless Nights spawned from the unknown story and a dare from her friends.

She has had the pleasure of working with some of her favorite authors. Street teams and beta reading were what led her to the world of writing.

She has released Soulless Nights, Vindicate, Expiate, Cessation, Always Never, Secondary Silence, Secondary Disaster, The Xmas Effect, The Blood of Abigail, Correcting Code 1.1, and the Bad Words Made Funny Series!

She recently released Night Tales Vol 1. Wich consist of 3 short stories featured in anthologies.

She also has co-written 3 books:  Seraphines (Julia Clare) ,Bound by an Echo (Julia Clare) & Kepler: Humanity's Ark ( Kyle Perkins )

She is currently working on Correcting Code novella's

I have no words known to man that can accurately describe how much I love this story nor the other books in this series. Yes, Cessation can be read as a standalone, but as a reader I highly suggest you read all of the books in the series to fully understand the characters and the characters' actions.

We have:
Vindicate (Aspen's Secret Book 1)
Expiate (Aspen's Secret Book 2)
Cessation (Aspen's Secret Book 3)

Aspen and Ethan are my most favorite book characters, ever. I will never tire of their stories. I will definitely re-read them on a regular basis because the series is fresh, entertaining, sexy and will keep you guessing with every page turn.

Bravo to Author Johnson for creating such a beautifully twisted tale!

What a ride!

An end, and yet a beginning?

Amazing how much a series can stay with you long after you read it. Aspen will forever be in my soul as one of the most bad ass bitches of all time.
Crazy, hot and a killer.
She does follow a code....sometimes.
VEC is going down...they just dont know it yet.

Finally book 3 in one of my favorite series. It can be read as a stand-alone but it’s so much better if you read the other two.
Book 1 is Vindicate
Book 2 is Expiate
Aspen and Ethan! Of course I’m a huge Aspen fan! I love how bad she is. This book ties up loose ends from the series. But it left me wanting more! Hopefully it’s not the end for these 2. Aspen is such a killing machine. Dude if you want a bloody kill them all type story, my friends you have come to the right place. I still wish I could be Aspen when I grow up. High five to the author. I definitely will need another book in this series *Hint hint** lmao seriously though blood, sex, death what more could you want!

Holy crap!! This story was insanely awesome!! I am going to go back eventually and read the others in this series just so I can get the full experience. It was just the right amount of twisted and depraved. I loved Ethan and Aspen!! They sure have one messed up kind of relationship!!

This book was given to me at my request and I provided this review voluntarily

I have been following Aspen and Ethan's journey throughout the two previous book.
Vindicate (book 1) and Expiate (book 2) and Cessation (book 3) Re outstanding.
Sure Aspen and Ethan are both up to no good but in a good way. Sure there's plenty of blood, guts and gore, oh and sex. Of course there's sex but not how you would expect. Surprise! You've been warned.
I really liked Aspen in this book she was so badass.
Thanks V.J for bringing us a fantastic read

Ok, though you can read this as a standalone, trust me you really don't want to do that. Start with Vindicate, then Expiate and finally Cessation, you honestly will thank me!
This book is a page turner. It sucks you in from the very first page and will have you gripping your device tightly, as you frantically flick pages, drawn into a world of depravity, blood, revenge, and murders. It's not for the faint hearted that's for sure!

First, yes this is book three in the series and yes it can be read as a stand alone BUT why would you want to do that when the awesomeness that is Aspen and Ethan can be enjoyed in all three books. This was a highly anticipated book and when I finally got my hands on it, it did not disappoint. This book continues the story of Aspen and Ethan's "special" relationship of blood, pain, death, love, hate, respect and revenge. I would recommend this series and this book. A Must Read Series.

If you haven't read the rest, get them, you won't regret it. This series will keep you on your toes. Just when you think this author simply can't continue this story, BOOM, she drops it like it's hot and you're blown away again. Love this one as much as the others.

Love Ethan and Aspen! I have read all 3 in this series. this book could be. stand alone, but to get the full story and all the emotion all 3 should be read.
This book has typical Ethan and Aspen action in it, but to get a look into how it all started and how she played the ending was fantastic! I still want more form these two because I love the relationship!

What a completely ****ed up relationship. Ethan and Aspen have to be my favourite deadly duo. Incapable of love but revenge is where they excel.

Am amazing, gripping, edge of the seat series. Love it!
