To the Low Life!!!
Yasssss I'm so ready for part 2. I love Beretta and Mara together with there love hate relationship it just shows that they're so much alike and made for each other. Poppa really disgust me as a human being how could you throw what you did for your sister in her face, if it was really done out of love. I think from the beginning he was doing things for Mara so that he could throw it in her face. I wish Piper would have told Mara what her brother did to her when she was sixteen so that she would know the type of monster her brother really is. I know by Tyshawn seeing Baretta he was feeling a certain type of way that's why he gave Baretta that look. Boy oh boy I just know the drama is about to begin with Poppa out of jail thinking he's going to take everything that Baretta built. Oh and I surely can't forget about Silk I'm still stuck on how he got a women pregnant when he suppose to be sooooooo gay but you gotta love him. Great job Natavia

Wow, that was pretty good. I really enjoyed it. Beretta and Kemara were hilarious with their back and forth. Beretta was definitely a hoe, but he loved him some Mara. Her brother Poppa ain’t crap. There are still some secrets out there that have yet to be revealed. I can’t wait to read part 2. Great job, Natavia!

Gmbam type of book 😂
Wow!! This is my type of book!! Lenses was my girl, she had a stank attitude though lol, It annoyed me how loyal she was to poppa especially with the way he talked to her. That poppa got on my ever lasting nerves!!!!! I know he is about to bring the drama in pt. 2! Piper.... Sweetuie..... I see you 😂😂😂 I see what's about to happen and hey I ain't mad at it 🤷🏿♀️. Of course I loved Beretta, I was side eyeing him for a minute there with all his annoying women but by the end really like him and I don't fault him for acting the way he is because my girl Mara been keeping all kinds of secrets!! Can't wait to dive in to part 2

This book is a gritty urban fiction book and I needed to read something like this one. I read other books by Natavia and I really wanted to read something really urban by her. This book fit the bill especially with the multiple POV’s and storylines. Poppa and his sister at the end of the book really had me wondering what will happen in the next book especially with him being out of jail. Much needed read for me.

Loving the low life
She's done it again this one though is low down, gritty and grimy. These Mamas in this book ain't worth shit though. Beretta and Kemara crush into love them two are something else I can't stand Poppa but I love Silk silly ass I'm sad I'm finished cause now I gotta wait for book 2 hurry up Natavia! Lol

2.5 stars....Horrible. Book didn’t seem to move along. Minimal growth in the characters and Silk and the jokes were too much. I didn’t like this book.

Wowwww!!!!Everything u r asking for is right here! The city is not big enough for Poppa and his patna Tyshaun verses GMBAM crew! Both boys love money and Mara. She's mean as hell and wants Beretta the head of the GMBAM. Mara n Poppa are fending for themselves because Darcele the crackhead Mom is too busy getting high. Beretta 's crew all got him associated named,lol. These boys rock hard n everyone is bangonh everyone except Mara. Poppa turns his little sister into a set-up chick. Mara's bff Piper does it once n says No more! When Mar takes matters into her own hands it connects her n Beretta together finally! What extent will Mara go to to keep him because when the big secrets come out it will test their lo e! GLOCK Pipers dude is locked n she is getting confused by loyalty n friendship. Everything.
This book had it all. I believe it is the first boom ! have read by this author but it won't be the last. The characters were off the chart. I liked Baretta and Mara. Baretta was off the chain and he and Mara had a connection from an early age. I didn't like Poppa at all. Didn't like the way he used Mara. Slim was a character and I liked him a nd imagine he is someone's father. MI!e got his butt beat down and still wants to rape a stripped. Apollo wasn't worth a dime. He has two women pregnant at the same time, A month apart. Maria's friend got Poppa back. I am glad Mara is in school, when will she tell Beretta that they are pregnant. Liked Thickem also. Can't wait for book 2. This is a very good book.

Part 2?!?!?
Omg! This book put me in the mind of that original urban lit! You know, that Triple Crown, gritty, fast paced, drama filled lit! I couldn’t put this book down! Natavia always have a way with her delivery and I felt her in this book. This was by far different for her, and I’m happy she took it there! Mara was young, crazy, love struck and just DOWN. I hate how Poppa played her hand. Beretta reminded me of one of those ruthless, dont GAF types but his weakness was his woman. With the way ended, I know part 2 is going to be bananas! I can’t predict what may happen but I’m rooting for Mara and Beretta.

Unbelievablely amazing
This book was crazy. You go from feeling for charactets to giving them the side eye. Poppa for example, in the very beginning I was like ok he doin it right trying to make sure his sister straight. Then he switched up and I was like no this sucker didn't have her out there like that. He was just a hot mess. Darcel was no better. Beretta was a crazy trip but he did step up for Mara in his own crazy way. She needs to learn how tp be completely honest though, her halve truths are gonna bite her in the behind. Piper, Silk, and Thickems are hilarious. Love how these friends are there for each other. Great read.

Natavia never fails
When a author drops a book and you don't even have to know what it's about to read it because she is just that dope of a writer that's Natavia. Anytime I see that she's dropped a new book I automatically buy it. With that being said this book pulled me in from the being she makes you feel apart of the story. I love Beretta and kemara as a couple and the love they have. Poppa can't stand him he don't love nobody he can exit stage left. Natavia you deserve all five stars an a stop on a best selling authors list.

I hate I waited so late to read !
I finally decided to read this series and I don’t regret it! That Poppa is a trouble maker. Blood or not sometimes you have to cut ties with them too. I absolutely love Beretta and his attitude and I think him and Mara are great together. Mara has some growing up to do but she’s a strong girl. And she has some true riders with her, Piper & Silk. Now that Poppa is home I don’t want them to start falling apart. But I can see it now everything is about to change because Poppa no good ass is home

Low life love
Natavia took her pen game to another level with this gutta drama filled story plot! It amazes me how she can make the reader love the grimest street nicca , but it's even crazier when he meets his gutta chick! When a boy and girl haven't been shown love, it's hard for them to share their love! I can't wait for Part 2 because in order for them to live happily some people have to be removed from the equation,I just hope they don't fall before then!

Yessssss! I love this chick's work! She never disappoints with the quality and the quantity to her work. Out of all the great work Natavia had done, this has to be my favorite. I love the GMBAM family and their names. I can not wait to see what happens next! Please come with the come on. I know Natavia will not keep us waiting for years like some authors. SHE is thorough and knows how to keep her fans loving her!

I gave this read 5 stars due to it having a captivating plot. Yes the characters were crazy, but the storyline made the dysfunction come together. Baretta & Mara are made for each other, I'm just not sure Poppa will let the happily ever after play out. There's definitely some 😲 moments that I would've have never predicted and I like having that within a good read. Natavia left our imagination running wild with this one.

Didn't completely bore me
Decent plot. Wack drug dealers and disrespectful boys and ignorant accepting women but I didn't want to blow my brains out. Silks jokes were trying way too hard besides the cremation jokes. That was the only funny one. I prefer the paranormal stories from this author. The skill and editing are growing so I think I'd prefer those concepts to the uninspired reggie block bull.

Piper have her best interest at heart so I know she has something up her sleeve but she’s about to be in a situation of her on... I don’t know what Glock has going on but it’s something!!! I can’t wait for part two!!!

Wow! Poppa is really messed up in the head... He didn't love his sister at all, he used her and she let him. Kemara was stupid and did everything her brother asked her to. I like her and Beretta together and can't wait to see what's gonna happen next. Silk is funny azz hell. Piper and Glock so what will he do once he find out she had an abortion and she's feeling his boy. Good story!

Natavia stay bringing nothing but 🔥 It’s so much going on. I really hope Kemara stay true to her word, I can’t stand Poppa. I know that’s her brother but I wish she would see that he really up to no good. But when they said lowlife, they literally met lowlife. I feel like she had to get it out the mood and that’s just what it is and this story we follow a young girl just trying to survive and there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s depicted into the story, how hard it is to survive when you come from the other side of the tracks, I recommend wholeheartedly.

Absolutely brilliant. I was so hooked I couldn't put it down. I literally read it to the end and it took me all day. The characters are realistic, the plot flows seamlessly and there is so much drama, action & plenty of funny moments to keep you engaged. Berretta and Kemara's toxic relationship is captivating and I'm curious to see how their story turns out! Because Berretta is truly unhinged lol Onto part 2!

Nothing about this story is pretty this is a gritty story from beginning to end. The characters were so flawed you couldn't help but to feel connected. No, you may not respond the way the characters do but you can relate to how they feeling. I still don't know how I feel about that snitching but hey that's how life goes sometimes.

She did it again
I loved the book i think silk was my fave. Beretta is ded crazy but he has a good heart. I couldnt stand poppa and i cant wait for him to get what he deserves. Natabia never lets us down so i advise eveeyone who loves great work to read read read. This is so worth more than 5 stars.
