Biography Donnée Patrese is a short story author, novelist and blogger from Gary, IN. Her works include an erotic novel, Prohibited 2: Illicit Affairs and Diary of a Wanted Woman. She has two short story anthologies what happens when you can't sleep and Erotic Encounters. An avid blogger she runs three blogs while she takes care of her husband and three daughters. Donnée Patrese Harris was born a hopeless romantic in Gary, Indiana with her mother, father and 8 siblings.
As very young child she would spend all of her time reading books and getting lost in her own imagination. She would often find herself "finishing" books that she read in her own words. She just couldn't bare to let the story end. It was at this point she decided she wanted to be a published writer.
Most people realized writing was in her blood. Junior high school teachers were impressed with her poetry and short stories. It was in Junior High that Donnée was exposed to her first romance novel.
By the time she arrived at West Side High School in 1998 she began to write poetry in Spanish.
Knowing she wanted to write Donnée thought she could use her creativity in a different setting. She received a B.A. in Journalism from Butler University and spent a short time as a reporter for the Post Tribune in Gary and Merrillville, Indiana.
Though reporting was very interesting, Donnée felt her creative heart was being smothered and the life of a reporter no longer appealed to her. After giving birth to her daughter she decided to focus on her writing.
Donnée is a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and is the Co-Owner and Executive Creative Director of First Draft Publishing, LLC.
Currently, Donnée is working on Diary of a Wanted Woman which is set to be completed Fall 2012 and Down and Dirty which is set to be completed Spring of 2013.
She now lives in Bakersfield, CA with her loving husband, 3 kids and cat.
I’m happy that the Michael Sr. and Maxine received their happy ending but it just felt rushed. I wish that instead of introducing us into Kenneth’s thoughts that we had more detailed insight into the plans of Mikey, Julia & Lorenzo.
In all I just wanted more details: -details about how Mikey convinced Julia to go along with his plan -how Julia felt once she realized that Mikey would forever obsess over Maxine. - more scenes Of Michael Sr. standing up for Maxine after he realized he was to lax with his family. -did she get pregnant again -did Mikey ever discuss this scheme with his mom.
Although this isn’t my favorite book in the series. I do plan to read the authors next book.
This series was recommended to me and it does draw you in with a different beginning and premise but it is really very dark and twisted. This book bothered me a lot more than the other 2 as the stalking, references to prior physical abuse and just outright hypocrisy to the point where I felt that Maxine was going to be physically harmed or abused bothered me a lot. She needs therapy and to learn her own worth and to never be around these toxic, hypocritical, evil, delusional and in my opinion dangerous people that she was around. The series kept me reading but I am left feeling torn over how I feel about this-series which means the author is a good writer to wring that many emotions out of you.
Too much messy! H/h didn’t know what love was just enjoyed having sex. The drama was too dramatic if that even a thing. Not a good story line story went from bad to worse. Truly wasn’t a need for a third book
