We were left hanging on by our fingernails in FIVE. November 4- Jane Blythe is back with SIX and the chaos erupts from page one with each page following becoming like a landmine about to explode. Relationships crack, women will disappear, a baby is coming, too soon, too small and a stalker remains hidden in the shadows just waiting to pounce again. Memories will haunt some, and monsters long thought vanquished will return.

Through it all, will one close-knit group find it too much to bear at once? Xavier has questioned how strong his relationship with Annabelle can be if she doesn’t take the time to heal, to learn to stand on her own and vanquish her demons, but should she move out? Now Annabelle is missing. Did she leave on her own? Was she too fragile to face life on her own or has her greatest nightmare come back to finally break her completely, both physically and emotionally?

A stalker will make his move on Paige, again. Has he finally succeeded in killing her? Faith will awaken into another nightmare, bound and alone and drugged. What does her abductor want from her? The twists just keep on coming, as Jane Blythe turns the screws just a little bit more on the characters she seems bent on tormenting!

Ms. Blythe continues to amaze me with her ability to color layer after layer of anguish, anger and grief on her characters, yet never so much that it breaks the spirits of those who care, those who serve and protect. High intensity reading from start to finish, there is no time to breathe as she deftly changes up the atmosphere and pace for each event unfolding simultaneously. My head was spinning, my heart was racing and there were times I was so revolted by what just happened that my skin crawled. And yet, it all works, because Jane Blythe is a master storyteller, mixing a dash of darkness with a pinch of insanity, and enough evil intent to bind it all together. Simmer and serve with strong relationships and a little romance, devour while poised on the edge of your seat...
I’ve said it before, this would make a fabulous night time television series!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Jane Blythe!

The urgency and action from the opening words, kept me hanging on each and every one! I love when an author engages me quickly with riveting action and Jane Blythe does that so well.

Six by Jane Blythe picks up where Five left off, but there is a recap, so this can stand alone. I have loved each and every book in this series, so if you are just beginning, I recommend starting with One.

Five ended in a fabulous cliffhanger that left me hanging by my fingernails and desperate to get my hands on Six. Paige is a good cop, confident in her ability to take care of herself. But…she is wrong. Why was she on her own? She knows there is a stalker after her and he gets more dangerous by the minute.

I love that so much is going on in the Count to Ten series. I am pushed and pulled to this character, then that character, wishing, hoping, sometimes knowing where the story is heading and happy to be going there.

Annabelle, her insecurities make it impossible for her to trust, to believe that she is deserving of Detective Xavier Montague’s love. I think Annabelle gets so frightened that the fight or flight instinct kick in and she tends to run. And I would like to slap him upside the head for letting her walk out the door. I can see why he says enough is enough, he is not going after her again, but if you love someone, don’t you chase after them? Will he?

I believe sweet Hayley will tug at your heartstrings, just like she did mine.

The women…and their loved ones…horror upon horror heaped on them by lunatics. Jane has no problem killing off her characters, because when one is crushed, there is always another sicko to pop up and haunt them.

Will my friends ever have a happy ever after?

The Count to Ten series is jam packed full of memorable characters that make repeat performances in subsequent stories. I feel so invested in their lives and they feel as if they could be friends of mine. Both the characters and the storylines keep me reading. The pacing of the suspense keeps mounting making me eager to know what happens next, yet not wanting to get to the end. The writing is intense. I find myself tense, muscles tight, leaning forward as if that will allow me to read faster.

Six is a book that keeps on giving…love and hate…suspense and mystery…

I love deep, dark suspense and Six by Jane Blythe delivers in spades.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of Six by Jane Blythe.

Actual Rating: 4.5

I've been following this series for a while now and Jane never fails to deliver! Once again, Six was a heart-stopping page-turner that I amazingly finished in one sitting despite multiple hollers from my mom telling me to go to bed.

In Six, we follow a few of the characters we've met previously in the series. Paige's stalker returns once more in another attempt to kill her, but this time he's not the only threat. At the same time, a woman named Faith is dealing with a few demons of her own. One day, she disappears, along with four other women who too have dark pasts. Annabelle Englewood returns as well - she hasn't quite recovered from being attacked, and its thrown a wrench into her relationship with Xavier. Unfortunately, time is of the essence, and someone is after Annabelle again, this time for much different reasons. (For real though - Jane has put that girl through SO. MUCH.)

This book was amazing, and like I said, I loved it so much I finished it in one go! One thing that makes Six different from the previous books is that the plot was not centered around one character and one event. Instead, the book brought multiple characters into the spotlight, and the author made it work. I've read books that tried to handle too much in too little, but in Six the variety not only kept me on my toes, it also made the story seem very realistic. Of course, there were several plot twists thrown into the mix, and I was left feeling ABSOLUTELY SHOOKETH.

It was great to see all of these familiar faces again! As someone who sometimes forgets books almost right after I finish them, I'm very impressed with myself for remembering everyone's story, and honestly, that is also a testament to how great this series is. And surprisingly, I found that I could still learn more about every character, and even in this book, they were constantly developing. It's amazing to look back at some of the characters I met in book one and see how far they've come.

The writing style was great as always, and there were several lines that gave me serious goosebumps. I really love how the story addressed some domestic and more emotional issues as well, bringing the characters to life. The author really succeeded in creating the different atmospheres for each scene - I felt my heart jump during the frightening scenes, and I felt my heart burst at the romantic ones.

Overall, this is a book and series I would definitely recommend! The author has done a superb job of tying the characters and their stories together. It's that amazing to see that the characters I met five books ago still play such a pivotal role, and I can't wait to read book seven!

This book is now my new favorite of the series, it brings the past couples back to deal with the events occurring. As like in her other bookstore this series this was chalk full of suspense and mystery and you had no idea what was lurking next around the corner.

Detective Paige Hood has a very dangerous stalker and the person just won’t give up trying to kill her. When she is given some good news about a possible adoption of two girls, Hayley and Arianna, she is torn as she doesn’t want to put them at risk when someone is still after her.
Faith Smith has been kidnapped and her boyfriend Bobby Kirk knows that she would never run off when everything is going well for her. When 4 other girls are missing as well can the case be connected?
As Detective Xavier Montague struggles with his personal life, he must put everything aside to work with Detectives Jack and Ryan Xander to figure who the kidnapper is before it’s too late. How far will the kidnapper go to get his message heard?
This is such a great series and I love how all of the books tie in and follow the specific time frame.
I was very nervous for Paige in this book as I knew her stalker would never stop trying to kill her. The reader finds out who it is in the previous book but you don’t know where he is at the end of the book. I was so happy that she was getting a chance at adopting Hayley and Arianna as she truly deserved some happiness.
The story of the girls was so twisted as each of the girls had been through something traumatic and so I was so surprised at what the kidnapper was doing. He was saying that he wanted the police to do more but then his actions were so evil that I was blown away and my heart broke for these poor girls.
Every time you think you have things figured out the author throws a twist at you and makes you go in a different path. I loved that it was hard to have things figured out before you discovered your thought process was completely wrong.
OMG – the twist at the end with Annabelle was something I was not expecting at all! I love that the author continues to surprise me in every book and I am always blown away!
The very end was so heartwarming, and I seriously can’t wait for the next book!! - By Rebecca

This is the sixth book of the series, and I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
I will first say that Woah, there is ALOT of stuff going on in this book. Poor Paige, you just end being the punching bag over and over again. I am so happy that she gets something in the end, something she has wanted for a really long time.
Annabelle is struggling and trying to keep everything together. I think she finally gets the closure she needs to be able to finally heal. I loved that it tied that up for her.
Laura and Sophia are finally at a place where they are happy, that is if they will stop getting attacked, poor ladies!
I love how strong the characters are, you can really tell how great a series is by being able to be surprised and baffled by the turns and thrills. I love the complexity of the characters, being six books in, I almost feel like I know them in person. Great book, I love the author's books!
Book Blurb:

I haven't read any of the first five books in this series, but let me tell you this...this book is one amazing read! I mean edge of you seat suspense, heart pounding excitement and intrigue enough to keep you guessing the answer to the question "who dun it"! Extremely well written, the story will capture you and not let you go until you reach the very end. A stalker, a kidnapper and a surprise to go along with it. Victims of violence are being victimized once again, only this time, there is a chance that someone will not make it back alive. The police are searching, one of their own has be targeted by a stalker. The others are searching for 5 missing women, all the while dealing with their personal family issues. The clock is ticking for the five women. The stalker has made his attempts and is not going to give up until he kills the female cop. A baby is born early, an attempt to kidnap one of the cops wives takes place and all the while, your heart is thumping fast in your chest as you turn page after page to see what happens next!

Characters so very well written and developed. Complex are the bad guys. Brave and stubborn are the women and men who are on the right side of the law. I'd say you would want to be friends with them, but hey..I wouldn't push my luck with the things that are happening to these people!

Great book, fabulous story line and I highly recommend this book!

This series is almost like one collective book that has 10 parts to it. They all stem together and follow basically the same characters throughout the entire series. Let me tell you that these characters have been through a stupid amount of stuff and I cannot wait for them to get their legit HEA, but it just goes to show you that even though you survive a horrible experience and find a person that gets you, that does not mean that life is all sunshine and roses afterwards.

This book starts right up where Five left off at and thank freaking goodness for that. This is the first time Jane Blythe included a cliffhanger that was so freaking insane. Six wraps up all of the events from Five but also introduces a new kink in the plan in which someone is taking girls that were apart of a support group and Xavier is the one that has to figure out what is going on, no matter what is happening between him and Annabelle.

All in all, I can say that I am thoroughly invested in these characters now. I HAVE to know what is going to happen and each time I flip to a new page it is with baited breathe. Jane Blythe, you have created an awesome series with Count to Ten and totally have a new fan!

PS: I received an ARC in return for my honest review.

After a crazy cliff-hanger in Book 5, Six really delivered an impressive conclusion!! Book Six of the Count to ten series by Jane Blythe had me on edge every second of every page till the very end. Withe women disappearing and relationships in chaos this story had it all. A true page turner and must read.

This story has so much going on with the characters yet I never felt lost. Paige had my heart hurting as she fights once again against a stalker set out to kill her. Annabelle is so afraid to trust that she chooses to run away from the one person that loves her the most, yet he is so tired of fighting for her that he lets her go. I wanted to slap Xavier for that, even though I sort of understood the frustration. To top all this off women are missing and people are being victimized.

This book is a thrill ride of emotions and suspense and I enjoyed it very much. I an definitely invested in all the characters as well as the story and it certainly keeps getting better and better with each book. Well done Jane Blythe!!!

Wow! That was one wild and crazy ride on spiderman's web!

Five women from group who has survived violent crimes have been kidnapped. The kidnapper doesn't feel as though the police are doing their jobs preventing crimes throughout the city. Therefore, he, being the "superhero", will just have to show them.

Detective Ryan has allowed Annabelle to walk out of his life after five years so she can be on her own. They still love each other but it takes trust in order for relationships to work out.

Poor Paige. That women has suffered so much. Trapped in a car in the river by her stalker, with only seconds to live.

Ryan receives email videoes from the kidnapper of how he takes the women's pain away.

Annabelle is missing!

Jack and Ryan find out the motive behind Sophia and Paige's stalker.

Annabelle finally finds out what happened to her when she was four years old.

This author REALLY knows how to write a suspenseful thriller! On to book Seven!

It has been a few weeks since I rea the previous book in this series, but BAM! I was straight away dragged into action, and WOW! It certainly packed a punch!
Jane creates the most horrendous characters and situations and I really have no idea how she’s gonna get us out of them! There is no predictability here at all, which is great as I know I will not get a formulaic tale with the wonderful Ms Blythe!
This is another glimpse into the lives of the couples we’ve already met in this series and the focus here is Xavier and Annabelle. This time there are bumps in their HEA which are not helped by another series of crimes/abductions and murders. We also see a bit more of Paige, a nice segue into the novella Burning Secrets which is the next instalment in this rather wonderful series!
With more than one “I didn’t see that coming moment in this book” this was an absolute roller-coaster of a read!

I was given a free ARC copy, and this is my honest review

The previous book in this series left us on an absolute cliffhanger. This book started in the same vein, dragging us on a roller coaster of an experience right from the beginning. I love the way this author literally starts each book with such excitement that you are immediately sucked into the plot. Jane also takes no prisoners and you certainly can't guarantee that all our heroes are going to remain unscathed throughout the action! That said nothing seems to crack their spirit and even when they are struggling, the incredible team spirit between the group remains one of the real strengths of this series. I have absolutely loved this series and am about to reach for the next book! If you like truly twisted murderers and creepy stalkers tempered with great characters that you really begin to care about then look no further!

Jane's books just keep getting better and better. This story takes you on a ride one twist and two turns at a time. Just when you thought one problem was solved another one was waiting right around the corner. Reading these books are not for the faint of hearted, you find yourself on the edge of your seat time after time an releasing a breathe you were unaware you were holding. Jane is the mistress of her craft that she does so well. I feel like I know these characters and they are like friends and I find myself wanting to get out there and help them. Seeing what they go through just breaks my heart. Jane's superb writing will keep you coming back for more time and time again. I am so waiting for the others in this fantastic series.

Six by Jane Blyth e picks up where five leaves off. Paige is in a fight for her life by Sofia's stalker. Laura is having premature contractions.
Women are missing. Killers are on the loose.
The books in the Count to Ten series just keeps getting better and better. I am so invested in these characters, they are almost like family. Albeit a family with a penchant for finding danger, or more appropriately... danger finds them. I find myself gripping my kindle a little too tightly as I'm fully engrossed in finding out what's going to happen next.
Reading Six is a guaranteed thrill ride. There really never is a dull moment.
Fast-paced, thrilling, and intensely suspenseful.
I love a mystery that keeps me guessing until the end and this one doesn't disappoint.

This one is the one that will pull out all the stops and bring you to the edge. It has too because it picks up from there to take you in a different direction. Consequences are revealed in this with us following Annabelle and Xavier. Suspense runs high with this like a fever. You turn page after page with things feeling like a bomb ticking ready to go off at any minute. This author will weave you into this one with no way out until the answers are given. You are also able to have your emotions strummed like a fine guitar which is the talent of the writing. This was one series worth it from beginning to end.

I don't know how these women are not traumatized for life the way stuff continues to happen to them. Sometimes the incidents are related to cases but most tie deep dark secrets in their past. In this case there's some bad blood and blackmail covering the families dark secrets. In the meantime discovering a serial killer and uncovering the location of missing women is the priority right behind keeping their wives and partner safe. Tons of action and revelations, this author most definitely keeps you busy tracking all of it. This is a great series sometimes with action flowing into the next book and sometimes it's a standalone. Either way this is a really good series to binge read.

This book was like a wild roller coaster ride. As soon as you thought one crime and mystery was solved another one popped up. There is never time to get bored. This book has all the Count To Ten characters in it. Paige and Annabelle are the main characters in duress. A lot of questions are wrapped up in this book, but with 4 more books to come I’m sure there is more to come! The writing is superb. Another edge of your seat read. Full of twist and turns, emotions of every kind, dark and intense. For everyone I read in this series the more I need. This author really knows how to pull you in and keep you there and she doesn't hold anything back. The lives of these people are constantly in turmoil and tragedy but while they try and figure it out more from the past sneaks up and makes more twist. Amazing read that will keep you wanting more and more.

Oh boy, another exciting start but after that cliffhanger finish in Five, I knew it was going to be a ‘hold your breath’ time!

The Protector is an extremely unusual character. Please whatever you do, don’t call him a monster! But that’s what he is even though he too has suffered trauma in the past. Abducting women, chaining them up and keeping them is not healthy.

There are so many emotions explored in this book. A joyous feeling of pure love and contentment that literally wraps around your heart makes you take a step back from all of the suspense and fear in other scenes, from the despair of the victims, both past and present, trying to cope with their suffering. And hokey pokey does Paige deserve it!

Aha! Annabelle starts to see the light and is willing to try harder for her relationship with Xavier to work, although I understood why he reacted the way he did I actually felt sorry for her this time. She, the poor girl, gets quite a lot of my sympathy due to even more trauma and I found myself liking her a whole lot more in this book. A lot of growth happens in this story.

Drama and action abounds aplenty in this book and I have to say it again, I was on the edge of my seat with my heart thumping waiting to see what was going to happen next. Riveting stuff that hooks you in and keeps you absorbed from start to finish.
