My Nan lent me this book as I’ve always been interested in family trees and past ancestors. It isn’t completely clear to us if we are 100% related to this Notley family tree however, my Nan is a Notley and there is potential! For my second year at university I had to write something of a similar nature to this book. I researched one of my great, great uncles and even though I couldn’t discover too much (he died at 18) I had so much fun in the process. Getting to read this book was a pleasure. It’s clear that a lot of hard work, time and effort went into this research of the Notley’s and I can appreciate how satisfying the feeling is of putting pieces together. It brought to life people I didn’t know, and I’m grateful that people can be remembered in this way. Related or not, it was very interesting and has inspired my own writing in the future! I hope to revisit the book again sometime and study it some more. Thank you!
