In the final installment of the Vampire Conclave series, Sarah delves further into her family’s dark and stormy past, unlocking a disturbing truth surrounding her ancestor, Thallan Moonshade. With the help of an unexpected ally, Sarah comes across a secret so shocking from Thallan’s life that it makes her even more determined to thwart his malevolent plans.

As the volatile situation within New Orleans’ supernatural community worsens, Sarah must devise a plan to seize control of the city and restore order before chaos runs rampant. Although she never considered herself a leader of people, Sarah quickly discovers she’s more than capable of handling the responsibility associated with such a task and becomes even more determined to keep her place in the line of succession for the alfar throne.

In order to save the man she loves from the diabolical clutches of a mad woman, Sarah decides to further explore her newfound powers in order to better protect herself and those she cares about most. She soon realizes that magic isn’t always the answer to every problem. Sometimes, you need to rely on the people who love you most in order to make it through the darkest times of your life, and that you need to take charge of your own destiny, even when the odds seem insurmountable.

Once upon a time, a little girl was born on a cold winter morning in the heart of Seoul, Korea. She was brought to America by her parents and raised in the Deep South where the words ma'am and y'all became an integrated part of her lexicon. She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

The second book to the Harvester of Light trilogy will be available for purchase no later than December 2012.

Ok ok it got there! I really enjoyed this last book and think all of the storyline endings were wrapped up nicely. The only feedback I’d give is to shorten this series to a trilogy so the fluff can be removed and all books could be 4⭐️ quality.

Once again, SJ West lured me into a world I don’t want to leave! Sarah is another strong woman character who is loving yet needs no coddling . She protects her family, her love and now her heritage. In this novel, she is in line for the Alfar throne and also has the challenging situation with her love Julian being inhabited by an evil being. Julian is another dreamy man created by the mind of West and his charm and love is what every girl wants, yet he has been taken over by Bathory. Sarah also has the issue of the violent vampires going rogue in New Orleans.
This book picks up after the cliffhanging end to Conclave and from page one I am hooked. This book finishes the story of Julian and Sarah, as well as their friends and loved ones. I really love the world of vampires and wolves in New Orleans, as well as the Alfar world. I really enjoyed how the politics merged with the choices Sarah had to make personally. These books are not simply a romance series, but a well written and intriguing world that you cant help but keep reading. The romance and love story are key factors but ultimately its the plot and setting that reign. The secondary characters such as Helen and Daniel are well developed and the reader feels very invested in them as well as the main characters.
This book had me both crying and laughing, it kept me on my toes and going back and forth from happy to sad . At times, I was very angry at West but ultimately loved how this series completed. She did the characters and mythology justice but wasn’t afraid to shock her readers. I highly recommend this whole series ( starting with Book # 1 Moonshade) and I think readers will be satisfied with this conclusion.

Review is for entire series. As a whole, I enjoyed the story which is full of supernatural beings, not just vampires. There were a couple of deaths that bothered me (sad that one character was written off and one that I was disappointed in Sarah's reaction ). Sarah was a strong character, but she went through a lot in a short span of time and I worry about her mental health - no one can take on that much and just be fine at the end. Didn't have any issues with Julien who seemed to be a good guy, but we don't see him much in the last book. Little disappointed in the eventual (3rd book?) sex scene only because the way Julien talked it up, I thought it was going to be epic and it was pretty tame. There also seemed to be a theme of you-should-only-have-sex-if-you're-in-love going on, which I respect, but also don't need to be beaten over the head with it. Not the most sexy couple, but the story did have a lot of action, good characters (family and friends), and evil villains.

I only gave this book a four because I was a little let down with Sarah. At the end of conclave I was stoked, Sarah was ready to learn her magic and save her man so of course I'm expecting her to be a beast who takes the battle to her enemies and then..... she didn't. Oh don't get me wrong it was a great book, Sarah got her man and her kingdom, the wolves have a new and improved leader, the bad guys got what was coming to them, mostly, and a few questionable characters got their redemption. As far as endings go it ended well and I would recommend it to any vampire, supernatural, fantasy fans I just wanted a little more bad arse from Sarah. I'll always remember these characters and wonder where they are in life so SJ did her job as an author to perfection, she left me wanting just enough that they will forever live in my heart.

Requiem is brilliant with a fascinating story and realistic characters!

The supernatural adventure has come to an end!

In Requiem, we see the struggle that Sarah, Julian and the others go through push them all to the brink. It is with hope, love, and determination that allows them to prevail.

In Requiem, as with this entire series, the readers feel so involved in the story, and with the characters, that they celebrate the victories, mourn the tragedies and want to join in the fight. I loved the emotional journey that I was taken on, although I would recommend having a few Kleenex nearby.

Great job to S.J. West for creating this captivating world that keeps us wanting more.

I enjoyed this series, it was a bit different & unique from the way other fantasies are portrayed which I think just gave it an added bit of intrigue. I really liked Julian & Sarah, there were multiple plot points & I feel Sarah's normal life really took a hit & ended up in the backseat, and at times it felt like there was definitely too much going on. But it still kept it rather interesting & engaging and in the end I enjoyed the story. There were a few twists I definitely didn't see coming but they really rounded out the story & I think it had a really nice ending that brought everything together & wrapped all plot points up nicely.

This was a great ending to a great series. Everything was wrapped up beautifully. This book is very emotional so be ready with your tissues! The main character (Sarah) is so strong and amazing. I found myself getting teary while reading what she was going through and she wasn't even crying about it. SJ West is just that good! You feel a bond with these characters and want everything to work out for them and when it doesn't it breaks your heart. When it does you are beyond happy for them!

Omg!!!

Wow what a fantastic ending to this series!

I was so captured by this amazing series. This book had my emotions all over the place but I wouldn't have it any other way. The characters are so developed and trying to find out how they fit in while trying to defend their homes and give peace to those that live there.

This book has intrigue, suspense, and of course magic. It will make you laugh, cry scream and cheer. I didn't want to.put it down and when I did, I couldn't wait to pick it up again.

You definitely want to check it out

The book was a great end to the series. The whole story overall from book 1 to 4 just kept getting better and better. I feel like there were lots of twists and turns along the way to keep you on your toes but I loved the ending and her getting to reconnect with her dad, but it def had some parts that I was shocked to see characters go down that I thought would be there until the end. I also loved getting to see Julian's sister redeem herself bc for most this series i wanted to punch her in the face 🤣.

I'd def recommend this as a good read.

Ok so even though this series wasn’t part of the Watchers universe, I am still in love with the story line. Vampire romance books are one of my favorites and the different kind of twists S.J. put on the vampire tale made it even better and interesting to read. Of course adding in werewolves and fairies just made it even better. Definitely would like to have some side stories about the other characters later on.

Wow

I'm sorry to see this series end, but the author hints that she's coming out with another series that includes some players from this saga.

Sarah has to protect Alftheim from Evie and figure out what she really wants now that's she back. Sophie and Janis are controlling New Orleans, and it's not a pretty sight.

She hasn't seen Julian in days and when she gets a message from her parents that he won't survive, she vows to change fate.

A must read!

Sarah's life becomes unbelievably complicated as she finds her existence threatened at every turn. This extremely chaotic and final episode in the "Vampire Conclave" will stir all of your emotions. So, be sure to have tissue close by as you begin this final journey into Sarah's fragile reality. To say that I was constantly surprised at the divergent directions this storyline chose, is a vast understatement. I can truly say that this story as a whole was a dazzling thrill ride. Great Story!!!!!

Wow...

So much happens this one. Sarah discovers her strength on her own while Julian is otherwise engaged, so to speak. I truly love the way this all came together, surprising coupling and allies form but I am a sucker for a plot twist. Great job SJ West. I can honestly say, you never disappoint.

Sarah and Julian

Aiden is killed. Sarah is pregnant with Julians' child. Julian has an evil spirit inside that controls him. Evie is an ancient head mage, that was Sarah's relative, that's trying to get revenge. She is defeated by spirits of Sarah's parents and others. Sarah and Julian marry.

So I had higher hopes for the series than it delivered, as a dark romance reader it just fell a bit short. I did enjoy the writing it was a cute love story with some interesting complications that were handled in unconventional manners. The characters were enjoyable. I love love Victor. He was definitely my favorite. The love story was unique and I’m glad that they got their happy ending.

Though the touches from twilight and other fantasy/mythology is there it still is its own story. Love that even with a time of this happening before the all pans out perfect. The ending wasn't exactly what I hoped for Julian but Im so glad it worked out in a most wonderful way and Sarah gets to have the perfect ending.

A really great story, with an incredible twist. I am grieving a loss but it had to take place, I still hate it though!

I feel like the ending was a bit rushed but I'm hoping it's the beginning of another series. I love anything S.J. West writes so I'm looking forward to whatever comes next.

I would expect nothing less than a great finish from SJ West on the final book in her conclave series and lucky for me she didn't disappoint. I always hate when a book series I am reading ends but I do feel like I was left with a sense of hope for Sarah and Julian :)
