Fairy and law enforcement agent, Dulcie O'Neil, is under the influence of centuries-old, incredibly powerful vampire Meg, and, as such, she's wreaking havoc all over Splendor and the Netherworld.
Sam, Dulcie's best friend, is doing her best to try to stop Meg and Dulcie with the help of hunky special agent Casey James who also happens to be human.
As for Bram and Knight, they’re both fighting for their lives and for the life of the woman they love.
Can Sam, Casey, Knight, and Bram destroy Meg and save Dulcie?
I’m a huge fan of anything paranormal and I always have been. I get super excited whenever they have those Twilight Zone Marathon days and anything ghost or vampire related will always attract my attention.
My interests are varied but aside from writing, I’m most excited about traveling. I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to live in England and Scotland, both places really having a profound effect on my books.
Thanks for checking out my books and I hope you enjoy them! Happy Haunting!
Am I the only one who was totally disgusted by the victim blaming at the end of this book?! I used to love this series, but I can’t get over or even root for a “heroine” who could turn away from the man she supposedly loves because he was raped! Seriously, Dulcie stands there and watches and SHE can’t forgive HIM when she did nothing to help him? Really? Knight should hate her if anything! If the tables were turned and Dulcie were the one raped in front of Knight and he dumped her afterward, readers would be furious with HP Mallory! I really thought Dulcie’s head would clear in the following book and gave it a chance since the previous books were so good, but no. Such sexist crap. I simply can’t believe all the positive reviews! Way to ruin a series Mallory!
I came across this author sometime in the middle of last year, and I binged all 8 dulcie books in a few days. I loved them and have been dying to find out what happens next. I was so excited when I got the email! HP is pretty skilled at writing multiple first person narratives. I usually get annoyed because the voices tend to blend with one another but they stayed distinct throughout the novel and didnt leave me confused about who's head I was in. I have never liked knight, but his pov was still distinct. There wasn't enough Bram!!! I absolutely love Bram, and he has consistently been my favorite character throughout the series. This story didnt center soley around dulcie, which has been happening a lot in her last few novels and I love it. After so long in one series I usually get bored with the same old stuff but the way the story is progressing is definitely keeping me interested. And I loved the ending. I don't want to spoil it but I've been waiting for that shit to happen for a while. I also really enjoyed the action scenes. They were quick but descriptive and the final battle was an entertaining end. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this addition and can't wait for the next!!!
This is a great book; this is the ninth book in the Dulcie O’Neal series and is written by H. P. Mallory. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
I really enjoyed this book in the Dulcie and Knight saga. It took me a while to put the pieces together since I read the last book was quite a while ago. But once I did and the action picked up, wow, did it ever pick up. So many things happening and so many new mysteries. If you like Dulcie, Knight and Sam, you will totally enjoy this book. As always, Ms. Mallory left us wanting to know more but she did not leave this one with a huge cliff hanger. Cannot wait to see what is going to happen next and where the lives of my favorite characters are going to end up.
This book was the most intense of the series and I can't wait for more! With that being said, I liked the ending except for a few things. No one should have had to endure what they did and I understand that everything changed, but, I'm hoping the next book has a "lighter" feel to it with a better ending. This book should be read in the daytime because there are some very scary monsters in those pages. Well done H.P. Mallory
I can never put the books down and it kinda sucks because then I finish them so quickly because they are so good! But whyyyy must Knight and dulcie always be pulled apart :'(! Love that the book.was so fast paced and it never fails to make new and old characters interesting. Please never quit writting. I love your books and keep those hands moving!! Can't wait for more!
Dulcie is back with a vengeance! Continuing on the story of Dulcie, Knight, Bram, Sam and the new additions made for a great read. A little slow and drawn out in parts but overall enjoyable. As always left with a cliff hanger ending. Ready for the next book and hopefully we see some happiness for the characters.
While it's been a long time since I read Grave New World the whole series came pouring back as if it was only yesterday. Blimey wasn't that a good thing, because Pride and Poltergeists has a whole lot of WTF moments with more action than an A-Team remake. I can not wait to see what H P has in store for Dulcie and the team next.
Wouldn't call this my best read, but after some time I did get hooked on the continuing story and genuinely needed to know what was gonna happen next! So if you've started this read but are unsure on following through, I would recommend that you stick with it. You'll enjoy the ending...even though it isn't the end 😉
Once again H.P.Mallory blows it out of the water. This series is is definitely one to have in your library and pride and poltergeist is another that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
OMG. This book was so crazy!! Poor Knight he gets pushed away so many times. This book was well written like all of her other ones. There was tons of crazy stuff that happened and I can’t wait to read more!!!!
Dulcie, Knight,Bram and Sam continue in this exciting addition of the Sylvie series. The story ends in a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next book. This one was emotional, scary and exciting, I highly recommend it
Another gut wrenching read! Why can't people just be happy?!? I am pleasantly pleased with the new hook up! I hope they end up together ❤. Come on Dulcie and Knight, get it together!!
XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised! Rape scenes. This book may be the darkest in the series this far. The to even as hard to read through. It was disgusting and disturbing on many levels. Dulcie is much darker in this book. Knight is much weaker this book.
Love Dulcie! Every time readers think okay.. things are settled for her, Mallory's like FOOLED YA SUCKER! This installment is fast paced and filled with a bunch of OH NO moments!
This book was a bit more repetitive than the last one. There really isn't any need to keep repeating the same information over and over again. Dulcie sleeps with Sebastian several times and Vander is forced to have sex with Meg but Dulie can't forgive him..can't stand double standards and sexist nonsense. All books are on Kindle Unlimited expect the last book...WHY!?!
