About the author

Mrs. Stevens grew up constantly asking her parents “Why?” causing her dad to repeatedly ask her if she was writing a book. Well, after all these years the answer to that all too familiar question is “yes.” As a mother of four she put her inquisitive mind and imagination to good use. The creative writing classes she took for fun helped her come up with bedtime stories for her children. When the stories blossomed into family favorites she began sharing them with friends and neighbors. She was thrilled when neighbors would show up unexpectedly wanting to borrow a story for their children’s bedtime. As her children grew Mrs. Stevens ventured from cute bedtime stories to ones that were better suited for older children.
Many years later and after some prompting from a friend she entered a short story in a writing contest. When the story was selected as a winner she decided to expand upon the story creating her first published books “The Legend of Dalton Manor Series.” After years of writing for family and friends Mrs. Stevens is thrilled to share her stories worldwide.
Who would have thought that the sometimes-annoying little girl, full of unending questions would grow up to do exactly what her dad had asked her countless times? How she wishes her dad was alive to see it become a reality.

The Legend of Dalton Manor Series is full of great reads!

This book has the full series and I really enjoyed all the stories! I think the author did a great job pulling me in and holding my attention! I think the stories are written well. I think the author did a great job mixing real life and fantasy. I think this is a great read if you enjoy fantasy or looking for a great gift for a fantasy lover.

An intriguing well-written story with complex characters that kept me guessing. There were characters I cheered for, some I booed and others I couldn’t make up my mind about. Even up to the climactic ending. The story is a mixture of magic, mystery, romance and so much more, leaving me with an array of emotions.
