This Mirandy fic has a bit more of a serious setting because it is placed before Paris (Andy is still working at Runway). Both Andy and Miranda are in a (deteriorating) relationship with their boyfriend/husband when their attraction towards each other begins to manifest.

25/09/2021: I enjoyed this one a lot. It was sweet and hot. I would only change the ending because I felt it was a little rushed and even though they got their happy ending, the vibe was weird. One more chapter would make it even better, but i enjoyed it nonetheless.

13/12/2021 (reread): I mean, it’s a Telanu fic so it’s flawless! I just wish we could have more chapters so the ending doesn’t feel so abrupt and also because I love reading about Mirandy written by Telanu so I honestly need endless pages of her fics 🥺

I’ve noticed Nice Girls Don’t is published earlier than Truth and Measure(not sure which exactly is written first tho); they are both headcanon of the film, so somehow this one felts like a condensed version of T&M to me.... with a little bit fast for the “L” word, and the ending is too rushed. Still, I enjoyed reading it. Sinclair handle the power imbalance so well and those steamy sex scenes *chef kiss*

Another wonderful story by Telanu.

I adore the way she describes the interaction between characters, not only Andrea and Miranda, others as well. It is just so... enjoyable, fun, witty and... Yes, I am smitten.

Yet, there were a tiny few moments that felt slightly rushed to me. Mind you, it is barely worth mentioning, but I noticed it one too many times not to... Or mayhap it is just me being unreasonable after having read 'Truth and Measure' and unconsciously demanding the same type of mind-blowing experience.

There is a sequel to this, wherein the ending is rewritten to become a 'heart-wrenchingly bad ending'. Therefore I am almost certain that I will never read it... The keyword being 'almost'...

4 stars. Not my favorite from this author but I still enjoyed it. I just think that while the chemistry between Andy and Miranda was good the dynamic was a bit off. It was weird and kind of hard to explain but it left me perplexed. I also wanted a stronger ending but that’s just me nitpicking. Other than that I did like this and I loved how Andy was so strong and determined. She did not let Miranda bulldoze over her. Also, the sex scenes were hot but that’s to be expected from Telanu. A good quick read.
