Three RONE Award nominees make up this set. THE LOVE OF A RAKE features two rakes, two horses, and two not-so-marriage-minded women who just need a bit of horse sense. When brothers trade places, one is bound to fall in love in the name of the other in THE CARESS OF A COMMANDER. An explorer searches for a missing duke and finds ancient artifacts, pirates, and his very own Aphrodite in THE EPIPHANY OF AN EXPLORER.
A self-described nerd and lover of science, Linda Rae spent many years as a published technical writer specializing in 3D graphics workstations, software and 3D animation (her movie credits include SHREK and SHREK 2). An interest in genealogy led to years of research on the Regency era and a desire to write fiction based in that time.
A fan of action-adventure movies, she can frequently be found at the local cinema. Although she no longer has any fish, she follows the San Jose Sharks. She makes her home in Cody, Wyoming. More information about her books can be found at www.lindaraesande.com.
The first book in this box set had me confused with all the back and forth. Then trying to keep the characters straight was very hard. The story jumped between the two men and the two women. I found I would get confused between them when I read the next chapter. I wasn't sure who I would be reading about.
The second book followed the same in that it bounced between the two brothers and the women they were after. Though I did like the storyline and enjoyed reading about them I didn't like the constant jumping back and forth between them then there was the jumping back and forth between times. It was them remembering what happened but I didn't see why it couldn't of just played out normally.
The third book started very slowly and I was a little bored with all the talk about plants and digs. But it got better as I went on. Though this also dealt with two couples they were in the same place and it was easier to keep track of everyone. I enjoyed this one more then the other two.
