I have absolutely loved each book in this series and it never fails that when I think J.W Lynne couldn't do anything else to possibly make me love this series more, she does. This was originally set up as a trilogy, but low and behold, we have book 4.
Sometimes when an author adds another book to a series which is originally planned to be a trilogy, it doesn't match the caliber of the previous books. In this case, J.W Lynne took a story that her readers were awed with and took us back for more action, betrayal, and love which we didn't even know we were looking for. We didn't have to wonder what happened once their world had been shattered with book 3's ending. She took our hands and loaded us into a beautiful rollercoaster of each characters life beyond the sky.
I received a copy from the author, in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you J.W. Lynne for the opportunity to read your book. This was an incredible read. The storyline was fantastic. There was action, romance, suspense, and amazing characters. The characters were well developed. Also, I thought each character had more depth as the series went on. The journey I had with these characters is one of the reasons why I love this series. I felt connected to each character and it made the story more enjoyable. I am sad to see the series end. However, I have a great appreciation for J.W. Lynne as she made this fantastic series. I cannot wait to read more books by her. Overall, an amazing read.
Love this series! It's really great to see the story continuing, and I'm loving the direction the story is going in. This is a great addition to the series! Beyond the Sky has lots of POV's, and I really enjoyed getting the side of everyone's stories. I loved Seven and Ten's POV's! I liked seeing Six evolve, and I enjoyed the direction her story goes in. The story is entertaining, and I love the sci-fi elements. There's action, adventure, and mysteries that need to be solved. There's some people that don't have the best interests of the group in mind, and those people may be closer to the group than they think. I'm excited to see the series continue! Entertaining story with great characters! Unique and Intriguing!!
I felt that it was a great ending to the quartet. I even grew to understand some characters despite my dislike of them in The beginning. Totally recommend these books.
I love love LOVED this book and series. Finally everything came full circle in understanding what and who was controlling everything. At one point I was almost expecting for there to be a supernatural force overruling everything - some rogue robot that was just destroying life because it was tired of humans. But, this book is an amazing work that depicts character growth that is easy to follow and their problems are things many of us have experiences already. There is loss, happiness, sadness, confusion, anger and hope throughout the entire book and series. It is definitely an amazing read! Hopefully there will be some novellas or a sister series to keep the story going and for the challenges to arise - there are still outsiders out there!
I love all 4 books so much! I was prepared to give this book 5 stars, but one thing really bothered me. I was upset that the one queer character ended up in a heterosexual relationship (though it WAS confirmed that they still identified as queer). There's so little queer representation in literature, that it was highly disappointing that this individual ends up in a heterosexual relationship.

I really enjoyed the entire series. The characters were well developed. I found the storyline intriguing. In addition it is wonderful to read a series that is "clean" enough that I can share with my grandchildren.
Absolutely wonderful character development and made you want to keep reading throughout the books to figure out what’s gonna happen at the end. I honestly could’ve gone for another book in the series.
It was a beautiful series with attractive switches of perspective. An anti-climactic ending, but fitting for all the characters. Their decisions made sense, based on their previous characterisations. I devoured the last two, in the span of one late-night reading, and one early-morning session! My favourite was the second in the series, as I felt the emotions in that one were the most intense and intricate. Book 3/4 dealt with the fallout of the emotional turmoil of book 2. Overall, well-detailed and kept me on the edge of my seat, though certainly sections I would have liked more detail. (Spoiler to end of review now: ie. why did Ryan engage in a romantic relationship with Jackie? Despite what he knew at the time about Ma'am's death & Jackie's involvement, though not all the information at the time. Physical satisfaction? To have a situation in his life that he was controlling? idk.) Nice nod to NORAD at the end of Book 4! & I wanted to see Three & Six together, but guess we can’t get what we want always lmao.

This is such an interesting story. If you are a fan of the Divergent Series or the Hunger Games this series IS for you. Jen does an amazing job bringing her stories to life. This I believe will be the final installment in the series and what a perfect way to finish.
I fell in love with 6, 7, and 10. I have enjoyed watching them grow up and mature. This book ties everything up nicely. These books are full of adventure and excitement. It kind of makes you wonder how the world got to that point, and how many years these people have lived this way. It just amazes me.
Very well written, I believe now that the series is done I’ll just have to reread it!
I stumbled onto this series on Amazon because the first two books were free for Prime members, and I'm so glad that I gave it a shot. I really don't understand why I'd never heard of it or how it doesn't have more rave reviews. It's a great YA dystopian series, similar to some of my other favorites, but unique enough to carry its own plot and characters without feeling like a copy of something else. It's probably most similar to the Divergent series, but I have to say I prefer this one. I won't be one bit surprised if these books become the next big thing or get made into movies when the right person stumbles onto them. I only wish there was more; I'd love to learn more about the decision maker's background and reasoning behind certain choices.
I’ve really liked this series, but was so disappointed in this book. It felt really long and drawn out. Too much detail into things that didn’t really matter, only for the book to be rush concluded within 5 pages in a way that doesn’t give you any feeling of closure. It feels like questions went unanswered. Entire plots unanswered. I don’t know. I’m just really disappointed that this is how open ended this series was ended.
Enjoyable series, though last two books were rushed.
I think the author decided to finish the series, when another book would have given a much more satisfactory ending. A lot of it was too conveniently explained, so that the ending was very dull. Otherwise I thought it an above average Kindle read.
3.5 stars. I rounded up because of how much I loved the entire series and never want it to end. This was a satisfying conclusion. There wasn’t much of a mystery driving the plot anymore, or any unanswered questions. I so enjoyed getting to spend more time with these characters I have come to love, but not very much occurred over the course of this book. I enjoyed the ending which fit the themes well!
Seven and her family now experience what is like to live out outside the box while Ten must come to terms with his mother's role in what happened to the people where they used to live and the people from the boxes. Forgiveness must be extended and a second chance provided.
I liked this series. There were some intriguing surprises as the story developed and character development showed characters growing and learning as they met challenges.
Binge read these in a few days. Really loved the characters they were all well written. It was an interesting story. Someone make the movie it would be great on screen
I don’t normally leave reviews for books, but this one was a disappointment. I didn’t love the series overall, but you can tell the author was over the series herself and was looking for a quick way to close out.
** I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.**
Where do I start... Wow, sums it up pretty well, 'Beyond the Sky' was an awesome ending to a fantastic series. Having read the previous books I knew I had to see how it played out. I was not disappointed with any aspect. Between the story line, the characters and how the story played out I think it was a great way for the story to end. I have followed the characters and their lives from book one, 'Above the Sky', through book two and three, 'Return To the Sky' and 'Part Of the Sky', to this book and they have been through so much. The way J.W. Lynne tells a story is so creative and well thought out. Full of action, suspense, thrilling scenarios, twists and great characters. I'm not sure what character to start with, so I'll just say I pretty much like them all. They all have different views, reasons for what they do and a love for life as they know it. That seems to change a bit as the story unfolds, but I was so immersed in the book that I didn't stop to notice until later. The possibilities were endless as to the direction this book could have gone. I will definitely miss Seven, Six, Ten, Jose and their lives, but I know they are thriving in their somewhat new lives. I know they are only characters, but there really isn't such a thing as 'only a character' when it comes to a series that you love. I look forward to reading more of J.W. Lynne's work. A great add to your tbr list. Recommended read. **This series should be read in order, otherwise you will probably be lost.
