I kindly received this book as an ARC. Wild Fury is the 1st book of Miss Lindsay‘s new series Fury Security. The characters of this book are heavily into the BDSM culture; so be aware. I’ll preface this review by stating I have really loved all of Miss Lindsay‘s previous work. This book, was good but not of the same caliber that I’ve grown accustomed to from Ms. Lindsay. Don’t let this frighten you away, since my copy of the book is an ARC; so many edits could be made by publication.
The book needs a prologue to introduce the characters, this will help most readers further their understanding of the story and it’s background. The main characters are Cole and Tomi. My eventual take was that they were a young couple that grew up together & fell in love young. Cole became a Navy SEAL and while he was away on a deployment Tomi suffered a family tragedy. She then broke things off by letter and disappeared. They “reunite” when he discovers her as what he suspects an unwilling participant of a human trafficking auction. Cole was in attendance at the auction with his former teammate and best friend Adam who was looking for his girlfriend/submissive who’d been kidnapped the previous month from a BDSM club Adam owns. Cole pays a fortune to “purchase” Tomi & as they leave auction the group is attacked. They escape & go into hiding & story evolves from there. There is heavy sex (BDSM); if you enjoy the erotic then you’ll enjoy. There is a slight cliff-hanger as to the story but the main characters do get their HEA.
This author’s Men of Mercy series is one of my favourite military romance series of all time so I couldn’t wait to start a new series with a slightly different focus. Cole is ex-military and is still fighting for right even if not wearing fatigues. While undercover, Tomi was the last person he expected to see at a sex slave auction. And the shock was felt on both sides…
Oh was this story steamy! And when I say steamy I mean HOT, HOT, and HOTTER! While reconnecting, Cole and Tomi immediately fell into their long-ago use of BDSM to try and bridge the years of separation. And to start the painful process of either making up or breaking up, for good…
Suspense and danger surrounded them yet that took a back seat for moments of intimacy and the chance to gain back what they lost…
While I didn’t connect with the characters as much as I’d hoped, their story was love and action-packed, with sizzle to spare. A solid start and I’m looking forward to more.
This is the first book in a new series by Lindsay Cross. If I am to be completely honest, I did not enjoy this book as much as the Operation Mayhem and Men of Mercy books.
More than the mission, I felt it focused way too much on the BDSM aspect. Also the menage scenes as they happen in this book is not something I'm comfortable with. Hence I felt the synopsis to be misleading in comparison to the actual story.
I felt that the plot has so much potential to be a fast paced, action packed thriller. But I feel that in an attempt to make the story steamier, the storyline was compromised. There's not much on the back story of the main characters, and there are jumps in the continuity of the storyline.
I guess I might give this series another chance with the next book if the focus is kept a bit more on the actual situation and less on the bedroom activity.

Ms Cross has delivered another brilliant read. My thanks to the author for an advanced review copy of this book in return for an honest review. A second chance romance .. the story is dark and dangerous and plays out around the very real criminal activities involved in human trafficking and the sex trade. The characters play off against each other very well and both Cole and Tomi have plenty to learn in their relationship with each other and accepting what happened between them previously. a great hea with a good lead in to the next book in the series
"Phenomenal! This is Lindsay Cross at her very best and counting."
"I received a complimentary copy of this book and have volunteered to leave a review."
I'll be damn!!! What was that? To say that Wild Fury is as wild as your imagination can reach would be an understatement. Not to mention Fury...That man is both sides of the same coin. I have yet to read anything so intense and harsh by this author, but is hands down her best work yet. So let me start from the beginning would you?
Tomi Tomlin in her early twenties has already lost the people she loved most. With no one in her life, only her bestie Carrie, Tomi works for a year now as a nanny. Everything worked fine until she saw something she didn't suppose to see. When her future seemed unknown and definitely deadly, Tomi's long ago boyfriend, Cole Fury, came into the picture promising he can be the freedom of her nightmare. Yet, she couldn't give him her trust. He has to brake her first...He has to show his real face. In the meantime she will still be in danger.
For the sake of being a new series and because I don't like to give spoilers, I'm going to keep Cory's Fury indentity a bit of a mystery. What I can give you tho is this, the Fury brothers are nothing close to what the fans of Lindsay's used to read by her. The male characters now, ooze power, confidence and sheer dominance. The kind that appeals to my reading tastes. Tomi's temperament stays close to the female characters Lindsay Cross creates; independent, down to earth, smart ass/ bad ass, stubborn and gorgeous. When it comes for the man she loves tho, is a sub and a lioness depending on the moment. For my Tomi couldn't be some other character. I found her fitting by all means and I am pleased with the results.
I admit that this book blown my mind! An action packed story that doesn't involve only militaty kind of scenes. It involves woman trafficking and a lot of BDSM scenes. Not the ones that left you hot and bothered but the forbidden ones. Do I say more of it? Nope! The mystery must stay hide until you read the book yourself. What more? Well....Lindsay Cross delivers the best kind of books (for my tastes) the kind which is impossible to put down and it left me breathless, trying to fathom "what did just happen?" I already said that... What I loved more in the story? Tomi. (Cole has my love too even if he infuriated me manytimes) What I'm looking forward to? But of course, the continue of Fury brothers; and yes I want a story about Adam too. Past or future, whatever floats your boat Lindsay. I just want his story.
I hope I intrigued your imagination a little and make you grab the book, finding out what's really happening because there is no way to tell you myself.
Until next time, enjoy your free time reading great books with the most unforgettable stories.
**I received a copy of Wild Fury from the author and Foreward PR in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**
Wild Fury is the first book in Lindsay Cross new series about Fury Security. I love both the Men of Mercy and also Mayhem but this one goes into a complete different spin with a menage and BDSM. It may take me awhile to get into it.
Cole Fury and his former SEAL teammate Adam Devine are at a slave auction hoping to find Adam's submissive whose been missing for several days. But when Cole seems the one person who he has yearned for 10 years his former girlfriend, Toni Tomlin as one of the slaves for sale. His heart was broken by her once before when he received a Dear John letter. But he knows something is wrong and will do anything to save her.
Tomi Tomlin has a job she loves as a nanny but when she finds her passport missing on her way to her flight she returns back to the house. When she finds the passport but also what exactly her employer really does when she's not there. He holds sex slave auctions for the rich of girls who have been taken and groomed as slaves who often end up dead. When she's discovered leaving the house she's taken and told that she'll be sold at the next auction. Can Cole and his brothers save her and take down the sex traffickers? Will she submit to Cole completely?
I didn't enjoy this book as much as the previous two so even though I love Ms. Cross and her books I just couldn't get into Wild Fury like the Men of Mayhem and Mercy.
Cheers to another highly anticipated release from Lindsay Cross!
Cole Fury is back in Tomi's life after seeing her being catered as part of the menu in a sex-slave trafficking syndicate. The woman who left him without explanation while he was deployed. Now Tomi's needing his help, but could she rely on him after everything she's done?
Cole Fury is a man of action, dedication and sincerity, a man who deserved at least an explanation for everything that had happened to him. Tomi owed him that much, and I am pleased that she's a woman who can fight and isn't afraid to get her hands dirty if needed. Cole and Tomi are my newest favorite couple, but I am also fascinated with the other formidable characters in the story, like Adam Wise. Plus there's little Rafael who's also fundamental in the novel. I don't know how the next books will progress, but I know that the little boy is going to be instrumental in the villain's downfall. I am sure of it, I can feel it.
Author Lindsay Cross is back with another riveting, high-octane action packed novel involving an ex-Navy Seal and the love of his life whom he thought he'd lost forever. I could never get tired of Lindsay's military romances, every story cuts like a knife and cause pain in the gut, but also always leaves me breathless and teary-eyed. Every story gets even wilder by the minute. There's still a lot that was left hanging at the end of the book, but I am not complaining, because I believe everything will be explained in the next books. And for sure, they are definitely worth the wait!
Tomi left Cole ten years earlier without an explanation. In doing so, she broke both their hearts. Cole is an ex-Navy Seal who now owns Fury Security firm with his three brothers. While undercover on a job, he sees Tomi in danger and is determined to save her, no matter had badly she hurt him in the past. However once Cole gets Tomi back, he’s determined to convince her they belong together.
I liked Cole’s character. You could tell how deeply he cared for Tomi and how much he missed her over the years. I liked Tomi well enough, although I thought her reason for leaving Cole was extremely selfish. The way she did it, was pretty close to unforgivable.
This story has both romance and suspense. The security team is searching for a girl who’s gone missing, and I assume will continue in the next book. The description of this book states that it was once banned. Unless a good portion was re-written, I have no idea why it would have been banned. Yes, there is sex, but nothing close to other books I’ve read, and certainly nothing worth having it banned.
I liked the other brothers as well, so I’ll probably read the next in the series to see what happens.
This book grabbed my attention from the beginning. I devoured it in a day because i couldn't put it down. Cole and Tomi grew up together and fell in love young. Cole was a Navy Seal and after a family tragedy, Tomi sent Cole a letter ending the Relationship and disappeared. Years later Tomi finds herself being held hostage to be sold by a sex trafficker. Cole working with his best friend and partner Adam finds themselves at that auction looking for Adams Submissive who has disappeared. Cole purchases Tomi and goes into hiding to protect Tomi. This book has a lot of page turning suspense and Romance. The chemistry between Cole and Tomi is off the charts and loved learning more about these characters. The book did end in a cliffhanger and can't wait to see how it continues. I voluntarily received this book as an ARC for my honest review.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Wow! This is most definitely different from Lindsay's other books but I enjoyed it just as much if not more so. This book is definitely darker than what I have read of Cross so far but not too much darker. You have Cole Fury and Tomi Tomlin(love the names!). Cole was in the SEALs when Tomi left him 10 years ago. When Tomi ends up being kidnapped Cole just so happens to pop back in her life. There's plenty of action and some awesome light bdsm. I loved this start to a new series and most definitely looking forward to reading more about these Fury brothers! We only get a small glipse of the oldest, Case, he has me curious!
I am loving this new series!!!! Tomi and Coles story is one of intense passion and heartbreak and you are drawn in from the start. This book has some serious heat factor and action but with well developed characters and storyline that you will fall crazy in love with. The men in this are some crazy HOT alphas. I am excited for more of them. I need more of The Fury Series!!!!!
Loved the premise of the book. The sex scenes were hot, though after a while I was worried about her ability to walk afterward. It was a lot of sex in a condensed period of time. I did like the writing, just the middle part got kinda gratuitous because it seemed like all they really did was f***.
I received an ARC from the author and am leaving an honest and voluntary review.
Tomi always loved Cole and always would but tragedy in her personal life made her push him away, she wrote him a "Dear John" letter while he was deployed. Cole was devastated by this and turned his energies toward serving his country.
Ten years later, Cole is out of the military and he and his brothers, several blood linked but all "brothers in arms", have started Fury Security. Tomi, a little more unsettled in life, finally found a job as a Nanny for a wonderful, loving little boy and she had been there about a year.
Cole's friend has asked him to help find his missing girlfriend. They have suspicions but no proof on what may have happened to her. This case will change both Cole and Tomi's life.....
Tomi's boss has given her a wonderful 2 week vacation in Mexico. She forgot her passport and has to run back to get it.....and sees things she could never imagine, things she had only read about or seen in news reports...
When Cole gains access to the "auction" he is shocked to see Tomi with the host, barely coherent from the drugs she was given. Her "sale" has been pre-arranged to a certain individual because her host wants her to kill the man, or he will kill her best friend. Cole, reeling from shock, outbids the man and takes Tomi to their safe house.
He has so many questions in his head. What does she know? How involved is she? Tomi has her own questions. What happened to Cole that he would turn into a person like this?
I am an avid fan of Ms. Cross and have many of her books but this one is so different from what she has written previously! It is so dark and intense. By dark I mean the world that her characters have entered, where you know it is filled with Mafia and drug cartels and any other slime, a world where the life of a young woman doesn't matter.
My first shock was Tomi's boss. This man was a devoted father, a kind man...and then she met the other side of him, a cruel and cold businessman who had no issues exploiting a young woman for his monetary and personal gain.
Neither Tomi or Cole can trust one another but they still feel the feelings they had 10 years ago. Cole's logical plan is to "break" Tomi but he can't keep emotions out of it. He needs to know what she knows and how into this world she was in. His brothers advise him to tell her the truth on why he is there because they know what she had meant to him but Cole is still in logical business mode.
Will Cole risk what little is left of his heart and will Tomi ever forgive him?
This story has some scorching hot BDSM sex in it. Needless to say, it is consenual between the characters. I don't mind some BDSM but this was pretty intense stuff. The writing is awesome and the story fantastic. It truly took me into another world! I would read this again and any other books in this series.
Genre: Contemporary Romance Book Length: Short Novel Male Lead: Cole is an ex-SEAL that runs a security team with his 3 brothers. He is tall, muscular and has dark hair and black eyes. Female Lead: Tomi is a nanny for a wealthy business owner’s son. She has no living family and is in her late twenties. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. Heat Level: Medium-High Frequency of Sex (1-5): 4 Angst Level (1-5): 2 Standalone/Series/Cliffhanger: Standalone but part of a series. Epilogue: No HFN/HEA: Other Notables/Triggers: Sexual slavery, human trafficking, BDSM and ménage scenes. Would I Recommend? Yes My Review: Wild Fury is the first book in the new Fury Security series. It centers around Cole and Tomi who are past lovers that have been apart for 10 years. Cole rescues Tomi from a slave auction and has 3 days to make her trust him, fall in love again, discover why they broke up so many years ago and prevent a sex trafficker from killing them. Whew, that’s quite a lot to accomplish in such a short amount of time! Let me start by saying that I really wanted to love this book (and parts of it I did) but I felt it was missing something. The relationship between Cole and Tomi didn’t knock my socks off. We were told they were past lovers but we never experienced their relationship via a prologue, flashbacks or memories, so it was hard to piece together. Secondly, their reunion and subsequent 3 days of being together wasn’t enough time to establish a true connection between the main characters. They mostly had sex and revealed the reasons why Tomi left Cole, but it felt very weak and vapid. Their story resolves quickly and sadly I was left feeling underwhelmed. Lastly, I really struggled with Tomi’s name. I have never heard of that for a female before and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be Tommy or Toe-Me, but either way it was weird. Tomi Tomlin? Just kind of strange to me and I found myself distracted by the pronunciation each time I saw it. I’m more intrigued by the Fury brothers and I will probably read their stories, but this one was just OK for me. Disclosures: I voluntarily read a copy of this book courtesy of the author in exchange for my honest review.
Tomi Tomlin works for multimillionaire businessman Luis Despasco has a nanny for his son, Rafael. When she forgets her passport before heading to Mexico with her best friend Carrie she stumbles upon the truth about how Luis makes his money and she is taken captive by him and he plans to sell her in his auction.
Cole Fury is a former Navy Seal and now runs Fury Security with his brothers. When working undercover he spots his ex-girlfriend Tomi on stage and he knows that he needs to get her out of there.
But soon Tomi and Cole find themselves revisiting the past and Cole must earn Tomi's trust if he is to learn the truth about why she was there. But will Cole's foray into BDSM scare Tomi off? Can Cole and Tomi work together to bring Luis down or will she go off on her own risking her own life when she decides Cole can't be trusted?
This book was such a great beginning to the new series by Ms.Cross! I loved her other series and this one is just as good but may not appeal to everyone with the characters being into BDSM. That being said I personally loved it and can't wait for more!
Tomi was such a great character but I could understand why they really needed to figure out how and if she was involved with Luis's business. I can't imagine discovering your boss was into sex trafficking and how worried Tomi was about Rafael and Carrie.
I liked Cole and although he knew what he was risking he had to get Tomi out of there. It was obvious how much they underestimated some of his opponents though and I crossed my fingers that everything would be okay with Adam Wise.
It was pretty obvious how much Cole and Tomi still cared about each other but they each had to deal with everything on their own to a certain degree. Their scenes together were hot and the scene with Clint and Carter was pretty intense.
I was so mad at a certain character for all his evil and twisted games that put everyone in danger by double crossing everyone. He definitely got what he deserved in the end.
The book leaves off with a bit of a cliffhanger as he still don't know if Carrie is ok and whether Cole's man got to her in time.
Wild Fury is the first book of a new series and soooooo different to what I am used to by Lindsay, but in a good way! There are elements of BDSM but I think that is good because it brings something different to the table. Anywho I loved the story and I also loved the characters:) Cole Fury is a former SEAL and him and his brothers are now in Security. While helping a friend locate someone dear to him, they stumble across the one person Cole never though he would see again, Tomi. Tomi has been working as a nanny for a man, whom she has just recently discovered is not who is claims to be, or at least his profession isn't. This endangers her life but Cole comes to the rescue as this is the only woman who has held his heart and for some reason the one woman who he hasn't been able to forget!
Fantastic read, had me trying to read through the night to finish! Absolutely cannot wait to read more about the other Fury brothers. Lindsay and Foreword PR provided an advance copy to me and I voluntarily leave my review!
As the first book in a new dark romantic suspense series this story sets the stage for the four Fury brothers and men they work with to find true love. We learn that the brothers like a bit of kink, BDSM and ménage in their extracurricular affairs and this does take up a big part of the story. My guess is that the rest of the books may continue this theme. The suspense portion of the story has to do with human traffickers who kidnap women to sell to specific buyers with twisted tastes.
Cole and Tomi were once childhood friends and teenage lovers. They explored a bit of the dominance thing before Tomi abruptly sent Cole a Dear John letter and disappeared. Cole is a retired navy SEAL and Tomi has been moving around during the ten years they have not been together. Tomi’s last job has been working as a Nanny for a three year old and one evening, having left something important at home and returning for it, sees something she is not meant to and becomes part of the consignment next up to be sold.
Cole is working undercover with Adam who has lost his submissive to traffickers and stumbles across Tomi. The need at that point is to save Tomi, save the other women and then take down Oscuro – the head of the traffickers. The mission is not completed by the end of the book so there is going to be more of this plot before the end of the series.
I am interested in finding out if Adam finds his submissive, Tara. I am also interested in who the brothers will end up with and whether or not the other men on their team will be included in the series. Oh, almost forgot…Tomi’s friend…the one she was to vacation with before she forgot her passport…she is missing along with one of the security team so would like to know what happens to them, too.
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
I've read most of this authors other books so was excited to start this new series! It is a lot darker and kinkier than her previous works. Not my usual cup of tea but I read it with an open mind.
Tomi has dabbled with BDSM since she was a teenager. She ran from Cole during his first deployment with the SEALS and has yet to find anyone who measures up. But when she sees something she shouldn't she ends getting a lot more than she bargained for!
Cole is on the hunt for a friends Sub who has been abducted. But when he attends a "slave" auction where the girls are actual slaves, he did not expect to see Tomi as the main auction item! When he manages to finagle her away from her intended buyer, he has to get information from her which might lead to the other captured girls.
They are soon back in each others arms but things are not plain sailing for these two!
All the Fury boys have names starting with C, so it got a wee bit confusing keeping them all straight! These boys are all into kink in one way or another. It was a lot darker than I thought it would be and a couple of scenes in the cabin were a bit strong for me, but I could see who it meshed with the characters lives. Tomi was the perfect sub for Cole, she just had to finally let go.
There are a few triggers that some may find uncomfortable, strong BDSM elements, ménage-a- quatre scenes and sexual slavery. I'll be reading the rest of the books in the series as I want to know what happened to Carrie and if Adam ever finds Tara!
Wild Fury is the first book in the new series by Lindsay Cross. I’ve read many of her books and I’ve loved how quickly I’ve become hooked by the stories and the characters. This book started the same for me although it’s about the disturbing subject of sex trafficking. It’s well done and not overly descriptive there but still enough to keep you worried for Tomi, the main character. Tomi is a nanny for a rich man who stumbles across something she shouldn’t have and suddenly finds herself a prisoner to be sold. Cole is undercover and finds he recognizes her. I don’t want to give too much away but it’s race against time and the story is very faced paced with plenty of steam between the main characters. Unfortunately for me, I had a hard time connecting to this couple once the BDSM and ménage started. For as much as Cole was protective and furious for others to show interest in Tomi, having others join them didn’t fit and was too much of a distraction. This may be fine for some, but it wasn’t for me. The book ends with some open ended questions about some of the mentioned characters - maybe for the next book in the series?- but could be read as stand alone HEA. I loved the Men if Mercy and Mayhem series but had a hard time getting into this one. I received an ARC for my honest review
Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the previous series written by Lindsay Cross I was pleased to receive Wild Fury as an ARC to review.
The start of this new series is a lot darker than the previous books by this writer and I actually found myself returning to the cover just to make sure the book was by this particular author. Having said that I enjoyed the book and read it in one day.
The hero, Cole Fury, is a former SEAL and a dominant in the BDSM world and the heroine is Tomi Tomlin his former teenage crush. She dumped him without warning with a Dear John letter ten years previously but clearly there are issues on both sides as neither have really moved on emotionally. They find each other again by chance through the illegal sex trafficking world.
The book contains scenes of BDSM, ménage a quatre which some may not like. This is part of the story and contextual.
The book moves at a good pace with introductions to Cole's brothers and other characters whom I am sure we will see developed in later books. There is a HEA of the main characters which could allow for a standalone book but the bigger story is by no means complete. This one is definitely a keeper for the self until book 2 comes out.
The views expressed here are my personal thoughts and not prompted due to having received an ARC.
I just finished reading Wild Fury and if you have read Lindsay Cross books before you are going to be surprised with this one! I received a review copy of Wild Fury and this is my freely given honest opinion. The story begins with Tomi Tomlin planning to leave on a vacation to Mexico with her friend. She cannot find her passport so she heads to her employers home where she works as his nanny. She stumbles into something bad. Her employer isn't a distributor of electronics but a sex trafficker and she just walked into a shipment delivery. She's now been taken and put into his stock. Unbeknownst to Tomi, her childhood boyfriend Cole Fury is no longer a Navy Seal but working undercover trying to find his friend's missing BDSM partner. These two haven't seen each other in a decade because Tomi sent Cole a break up letter while he was deployed. It wasn't due to lack of love but fear. Their story will reopen past feelings and fears. Now I think that Lindsay Cross writes great military/action scenes and Wild Fury doesn't disappoint in that but she has added a new aspect to this book with BDSM and a couple of menage scenes that every reader may not be comfortable with. So if you're willing to try out a new level of heat added to your action packed romantic suspense, I highly recommend Wild Fury.
Wild Fury is the first in the new Fury Security series. It is a standalone book about the 4 Fury brothers and some ex-SEAL teammates who started a for hire security business.
This book is a second chance romance that revolves around the very real world crisis of human trafficking, especially sex slaves in this book. Tomi is the nanny for a loveable little boy. Her charge is visiting Grandma, while Tomi and her best friend vacation in Mexico. Tomi forgot her passport and heads back to the mansion of her employer. She stumbles into a world of trouble and ends up being auctioned off as a sex slave to shut her up. Her best friend in Mexico is friendly with a killer/hitman being used to threaten Tomi.
Cole is helping his best friend, Adam, track his girlfriend, Tara, who was snatched from Adam's BDSM club. They are at a sex-slave auction hoping to find her, followed by a sting to rescue the victims. Instead Cole finds Tomi, "the one" who got away years ago while he was deployed on a SEALs mission. Cole has to find a way to save Tomi. Can they rescue Tomi and the other women? Will Tomi be able to trust men buying at a sex slave auction? Will all their passion and love reignite? Mild BDSM is part of this story.
As an avid reader of Lindsay Cross novels, the chance to read Wild Fury was a no brainer. That said, while this story still displays all the previous talent Ms Cross has with the ebb and flow of her stories, some things went a little understated.
A disturbing look into the sex trafficking world, Wild Fury leads readers down the dangerous path of professional criminals who will stop at nothing to make a buck. But when Tomi discovers her employer's activities, reaching out to her lost love Cole will bring more than just a retired SEAL into her life. It will open the door to an erotic world of sexual decadence and the domination of a man she has never let go.
I love a good BDSM story, but I felt the overarching plot was slightly let done by the focus on the sexual relationship between Cole and Tomi, and yet that too was contradictory, as Cole is a powerful and possessive Dom, but allows others to partake of their intimate experiences. So while I know this can happen in a consensual BDSM dynamic, Cole didn’t resonate as the type to share his woman.
As this was the first in the Fury Security series, I’m sure the characters will continue to develop and the storylines come together more smoothly in the future.
Wild Fury by Lindsay Cross is a great read and a great start to another series. Her writing is extremely engaging and exciting. Her writing kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down had to keep reading to see what was going to happen next. This is a bit different from her other books but written just as good in my opinion. The subject matter may not be for everyone but worth a try. The characters were quite interesting, they were strong and probably a bit stubborn. There was definitely some major chemistry between the two main characters. Cole Fury helps run Fury Security with his brothers and former Navy Seal's teammates. On the trail of a known sex trafficking ring he and a friend are searching his friends submissive Tara who went missing from BDSM clubs. Tomi Tomlin has stumbled into her bosses little secret club in his mansion, unfortunately for her she has seen to much. Now she is going to be sold as a slave to a very dangerous man. Tomi can't believe her eyes when she spots the one man who she loved and then broke his heart Cole Fury. Will Cole help Tomi? Does he hate her after all this time? I absolutely loved this story and recommend it. I voluntary reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Tomi has been in love with Cole since she was a little girl, but life happened, and she broke both of their hearts leaving him, but never got over him. Many years later, she comes face to face with him in a place that neither ever thought they would come across each other, at a human trafficking auction, with Tomi being the prize. He manages to get her away from there, but he has only a few days to get her to trust him, and in the process, give them a second chance. But will Cole be able to keep her safe in the process? Wild Fury was a story that started out with a bang, and never slowed down. It was action packed, filled with suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat with heart racing. And in between the danger, Cole & Tomi's fiery flames of sexy times lit the sheets up, like panty disintegrating hotness trying to make my kindle combust. I'm a huge fan of Lindsay Cross, who is the master at weaving exciting stories that have the twists coming from every direction, which never fails to keep me dropping the loud f-bombs, and this story is no exception. And while this one ended without a cliffy, evil is still out there, so CANNOT WAIT to read more of this fantastic new series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Lindsay Cross - Wild Fury: Fury Security Series Book -1
I typically do not read Dark romance books with BDSM etc., but since this one is written by one of my favorite authors, I decided to read it. This is a fast moving second chance story that will keep you turning page after page.
Tomi Tomlin is a Nanny for a wealthy business man, or so she thought he was just a business man. When Tomi walked in on Luis, her employer, she would not be allowed to leave because what she saw was not only a sex den, but an auction into slavery. Now Tomi’s fate will be the same as all the other women that she saw.
Cole, a former deadly Navy Seal, has retired and is now working with his brothers at FURY SECURITY. When a friend asks for help that his girlfriend has been sold to a sex trade, Cole agrees to help. What he finds is Tomi Tomlin, the woman who broke his heart 10 years ago. Cole is determined to help her by buying her. Now what is he going to do?
This book moves fast and yes, it is much darker than I like, but, skipping over those not so pleasant parts, I did enjoy the book. I may not continue with this series, but if you like darker romance books, this one is going to keep you awake until you finish the last word.
