Kind of a stale read...
The story line started off great—lots of plot twists and steamy romance, but then it fizzles out cold by the 3rd chapter. I was lost when there was a turn of events and the scenes ran together. Very disappointed bc the start was so thrilling and a page turner and then suddenly the story flopped... big time! No explanation of how we got from Point A to Point B. Transitioning needs major improvement! I’ll try another book by the author to see if a new one is better. #FingersCrossed

The Billionaire from New York City
I can’t say I was a big fan of this story. I thought Brianna was a complete idiot for even agreeing to go along with Ethan’s scheme. Any way you look at it, it treads into dangerous territory. To me it doesn’t justify anything. Ethan was a jerk but she was a nitwit for even going along with his scheme. He wanted her for sex, on the disguise of being his assistant. No CEO would ever get away with this kind of crap. But I understand she had to accept his agreement to make the story. Oddly enough I didn’t feel their chemistry. Perhaps it was the dialogue between them. At times it seemed to be stilted, too formal at times. Disappointing at times too. No protection as they had one sexual tryst after another, and she couldn’t figure out why she was nauseous. Luckily he supported her with the baby. I wanted to get interested in story, but the subject matter was disturbing, at least to me.

I was very interested in how this love story was going to unfold! The way things started out between them was so untraditional that I had no clue how things were going to turn out!! I am grateful I started reading such an awesome story and the ending blew me away!! I cannot wait to see what the other cities have in store with their billionaire bad boys! Especially in my hometown, PHILLY!!

Two stories. Not really two well crafted stories, but I gave an OK read if for no other reason than for once, the black woman in the second story was not described as curvy with thick thighs.
