Lee Holmes is a popular nutritionist and wellbeing chef who specialises in promoting a holistic approach to gut health. This is her latest book (released last year) which is part educational research into how to maintain a healthy gut and part healthy recipes to help you improve your digestion and overall health and wellbeing.

The recipes are quite varied with lots of filling lunch and dinner options, plus healthy snacks, desserts and info on how to make your own dairy-free milks at home. My only niggle with it is that it has a lot more meat and fish based recipes than I was anticipating, so I'll be checking out her vegetarian book next.

Very good book with easy to follow steps, a keeper/reference book. One of my favourite things I learned is the Olive oil and Lemon shot, it is sooo good.
I would have liked more vegetarian based meals though.

3.5. Interesting read about the good and bad bacteria that make up our microbiome, why this is important to maintain and how to nourish our bodies to achieve a healthy ecosystem in our guts. Working through the recipes now which have been hit and miss. Loved the Thai Fish Curry, Butter Chicken Clay Pot and mash recipes so far. Soups are not her strength. The Coconut nut milk was so simply and tasty!

lots of good information in this book. It all makes sense, and good to put front of centre!

Some interesting recipes and some unsubstantiated claims (there are some citations provided).

This book is one of the best books I have read so far about gut health and I love that it has a connection with the thyroid. Lovely recipes that I will be trying! Would definitely recommend!!
