A pen scratches in the night. A rat faces his past. A wizard pays for his crimes.
The opening of the magical sanctuary of Tír na nÓg has rocked the foundations of Fae society. Isherwood sits in the Tower of Londinium awaiting trial, while Jinx and the special ops team circle the globe dealing with nonconformi incidents.
But behind every layer of evil lies another bad guy waiting to be unmasked. A crime witnessed by a raven sets in motion a journey into the mists surrounding a hidden island. There, in the company of a king and an order of gallant knights, Jinx will do battle with the woman who started it all.

Juliette Harper is the pen name used by the writing team of Patricia Pauletti and Rana K. Williamson. As a writer, Juliette's goal is to create strong female characters facing interesting, challenging, painful, and at times comical situations. Refusing to be bound by genre, her primary interest lies in telling good stories.
.. and a confrontation with a whole new level of evil and the root of it all.
The smallest resident of the Witches Brew, Rodney, is rather more than any of them anticipated. His destiny calls out and he will prove himself to be a loyal and courageous ally.
Jinx is rushing from place to place dealing with the DGI reports with Lucas, Greer and Reuben; she's enjoying every minute but when a tired Jinx conveys the image of a sword she's never seen to her grimoire the pen and book feel honour bound to alert Myrtle.
While the pace at Briar Hollow stays peaceful for the most part, Festus and Reuben unwittingly create another attraction for the HBH team with an explosion that sends shockwaves through the town and an overflow of glitter through the storm drains! However will Festus fix this one?
With the Fae world in flux the true source of evil believes it's time to make her move to take over. She's not counted on the purity of Jinx's heart and intentions however and what she perceives as weakness will be the start of her undoing.
I am absolutely engrossed in this series. It's no cozy paranormal story.. it's thick with researched links to myths and legends, ties a multitude of worlds together seamlessly and does it with humour, thrills and gripping action. I don't want to have to wait for more installments.. but I also don't want the series to end.. please don't stop writing..
As with previous books, this brilliantly continues the story of Jinx & a big, varied, entertaining cast of characters. If I'd started in the middle of the series, the book description might not have interested me. But, the premise of the first book caught my attention and superior writing has kept me. Each book broadens the story a bit more. Now, this 11th book branches of a number of engaging characters and loops them all back again. Can hardly wait for the next one. The series is fun and I highly recommend it. But it does need to be read in order. I'll even plug KU and sat join to read this series & more.
If you are a fan of the series, and I am, don't miss this latest installment in the series. Jinx is still Jinx but her powers are developing and internal changes are necessary as well. This is a great romp through several worlds and the backstory is finally coming together as yet another layer of the onion is revealed. My only complaint is that sometimes I'd like to dispense with the Moms--Gemma for her not funny irreverence and Jinx's mom for her incessant helicoptering of a grown daughter, but you can't have it all! If you've never read the series, get busy reading book one. You will be hooked!
Thrills & spills galore in this exciting instalment of the Jinx Hamilton Mystery books. I enjoy reading these books but I would start to class them as more fantasy rather than mystery. Especially with Merlin, Arthur & the appearance of Exaliber! The characters are increasing and it's starting to get a bit confusing with who's who. No more new characters please in the next books and a bit more mystery as well please. I look forward to reading what's in store for Jinx and Lucas.
I love the characters and the world that has been built. In this book there is a lot of jumping around to different stories. It was a bit unsettling. This book also needs proof read again. Minor issues, but still can be annoying. With this said, I can't wait for the next one.
Love, love the whole series. This book has you on the edge of the seat with all the twist and turns. Getting to know the character in the series makes you feel like they are family. The laughs are place right when the tension is high. I recommend you read this and all the book in A JINX HAMILTON MYSTERY.
Jinx comes into new pure magic, the lair grows, new adventures and enemies. Past and present meet when a greedy enemy from centuries past comes into play. Will our heroine and her friends be able to stop the enemy?
Nothing like a huge crisis and a common enemy to bring the entire system of relms together to protect the pure magic. Throw in some sneaky tricks in the human relm to get some pesky troublemakers sidetracked and out of fae business. Can't wait for the next to see what Jinx and crew get into.
Couldn't put it down, Juliette Harper brought out the big guns it this volume of the Jinx Hamilton Mystery series. I knew there was more to Rodney than was portrayed but wow, what a twist!!!
I really look forward to the next book in this series. This book lived up to expectations. It was interesting to learn Rodney's history and how Jinx was linked to Avalon and the sword Excaliber.
I loved learning more about Rodney. It was a great book, I was a little disappointed with both confrontations with Morgan Le Fey but overall, a great book. Give me more of Shevington University and its issues with nonconformi - potentially hilarious.
Beyond my wildest dreams I could never have imagined all this it kept me thoroughly engrossed I love Jinx and every character in theses books that stand for good and the bad ones I despise I cannot wait for the next book.
I don't want to give away the plot but this book held me in thrall all the way through. Jinx and her varied crew just keep you hooked. Love these books and am now dying to read the next.
For the last 5 or 6 days I have completely immersed myself in this series. What a fabulous respite it has been. A great story with characters that are full, of everything, life, love, emotions and more. Thank you Ms. Harper!
Juliette Harper's Jinx Hamilton Mysteries are awesome! I've all 11 books in 2 weeks, and I'm soooo ready for book 12! Fantastic stories, awesome characters, and non-stop action! Great for teens and up!
I read the whole series in a little over a week. Couldn't put it down. The historical history of all fae is amazing. I really wish it was real. How much fun would that be.
The best yet. I have read all 11 books and loved everyone of them. The last two have been the best. I highly recommend all her books to everyone who loves witches and magical characters and magical history. Diana Romano
These characters and their adventures are wonderful! Funny, loving, exciting, sometimes sad or even frightening, there is No need to coax your readers to continue! We were going to before that last freaking sentence! Grrr...
I've Gotten so sucked in to this series, that I actually teared up happily at and near the end. Adventure, mysteries resolved, good vs. Evil, love, friendship, swords, knights, and witches.
I've read all the books in this series and love them all. This book lives up to and surpasses the others with it's connection to more mythology. I couldn't put it down.
All I can say is that I am in LOVE with these books, characters and I think even the author! Everything about these stories is amazing. I cannot wait for the next one!!
