Carolina has everything a beautiful young woman could want. A penthouse flat in London overlooking the Thames; Wined and dined in the best restaurants and a peach of a job with a healthy salary in the Houses of Parliament as a PA for the Right Honourable Jonathon Taylor, MP.
In her spare time, her alter ego J D Wells is a successful author selling books by the millions, unbeknown to her charismatic boss.
Her refuge from the misdemeanours of Jonathon Taylor and his mistress is her aunt’s cottage by the sea in Hastings. When her aunt dies unexpectedly she inherits the cottage, a healthy nest egg, and several rather unexpected seafaring ghosts.
Carolina, with persuasion from Cornelius the resident ghost, finds herself compelled to write his biography in which she discovers that they have a past history.
As Carolina delves into the mystery, she begins to wonder just how deep their connection goes…
T K Geering lives with several foxes, and a randy squirrel called Cyril who does everything he can to annoy her by digging random holes for her to fall down. Tee frequently finds his stash of nuts buried unsuccessfully in the garden.
When she isn’t attending to his needs, Tee lectures on a voluntary basis to ‘A’ level and Performing Art students at local colleges on creative writing, and is known as their Miss Marple.
T K Geering writes in the genres of the paranormal, fantasy non- fiction and crime. Her writing style has been compared to J.K. Rowling and Jean M. Auel, and her books are now sold worldwide.
This is a lovely easy read of a woman who retires from the rat race in London to her aunts cottage in Hastings after she's passed away. She is writing the story of Cornelius a pirate on the high seas. He occasionally visits her, as does her aunt. Jonathon, her ex boss from London, after bring disgraced, comes and stays for a while, much to Cornelius' disgust. It sets in motion some strange events. Not overly creepy, or supernatural, very romantic. I read it in less than 2 hours.
First time with this author and thoroughly enjoyed the story...enough to sit and read it all in one go, I just got lost in the story and didn't want to leave it. Loved the development of the storyline and the characters. I'm certainly going to read more from this author!
A departure from my normal read but a classy ghost story, with a hint of romance. I loved the characters and history on this story and found it a read in one sitting type of book. T k geering is fast becoming an author I really enjoy
