Hi, so excited about being on Goodreads and sharing my Middle School books with you! I live in beautiful Noosa, in Australia. For most of my life I was a teacher of Middle School kids, and what an awesome experience that was. It gave me the opportunity to understand the problems that kids go through.
My writing partners are Kaz and Bill Campbell, they were also Middle School Teachers.
We hope you enjoy our books as much as we love writing them for you!!!

This is a very sad story. Bella gets called to the principals office only to find that her parents have both been killed in a car accident. From that point it's downhill as she has to deal with a social worker who simply won't listen to her. She gets put in an absolutely terrible foster home with two non-foster children who are total brats.

It's an example of two things. First, just how bad the foster care system can be when they don't pay attention to what the young person is saying or feeling. On the other hand, it's a testament to Bella's strength in trying to do her best in a virtually impossible situation.

Thoughts-

The Lost Girl, Bella's Story is a book that tells the story of a little girl growing up in foster care. She goes through a lot of turmoil that will leave you heartbroken but appreciative for what you have. The Author, Katrina Kahler did a wonderful job creating a story to bring awareness to children being mistreated in the foster care system. This book will encourage children to be more supported and kinder to others that come from tragic backgrounds. It also serves as a wake up call for any adult that wants to become a foster parent. I give this book five stars for the subject matter, awesome job Katrina Kahler!

meh

The storyline is great, but seriously Katrina, if you’re going to add pictures, PLEASE get someone to draw them, and don’t just find them on the internet or whatever you do. It helps keep the mood, and you don’t have to plan around the picture. Other than that, great book. Twins is still my favorite though.
