He is an accomplished short story writer with a string of prize-winning stories, which are included in this collection. These heart-felt tales move from the rough and tumble growing up in Ireland to cheerful stories of Australian country life. He is also shortly to publish a novel called Travellin' with Joe, a story of a love that was a long time coming, set in Ireland during the difficult days of WW2.
