Sophia was one of the missing, kidnapped women who were rescued during the fire that destroyed part of the town. In the dank root cellar that they had been held captive in Sophia, like the other women, had told her story of how they had come to Creede, Colorado. Now that they’d been rescued and were rebuilding their lives Sophia was grateful that the women had kept her secret. Yet, she’s still letting her past define her even as she’s desperately reaching out for a new life. She has a good chance at happiness, she simply has to be brave enough and trust herself enough to reach for it.
Otto runs the town’s livery stable, and while tending to the horses and selling, repairing buggies is part of his work it is the horses that are his true calling. Otto could easily be called a horse whisperer, his abilities with the most difficult of animals is becoming well known. Those skills, and the help of his guardian angel, will be drawn upon as he finds himself falling for Sophia. Stubborn, determined and scared, this beauty touches his heart and somehow he’ll protect her from her past and the vile men who would continue to harm her if they could. Now all he has to do is convince Sophia that her past is just that, in the past and it’s her future with him that deserves their attention.
I am enjoying the Cowboys and Angels series so much. It’s entertaining to watch this world being built as each couple adds a bit more to the history and the future of these towns in the Colorado wild west. In Taming the Trainer we find two people who have so much in common, and fit so well together. There is danger afoot, and Otto’s guardian angel to help steer this couple through the difficulties ahead. I liked this couple, and we’ll find a few twists, some new characters and lots of old friends as well. If you love Western Historical Romance then you’d enjoy Taming the Trainer and this entire series.

Ms. Jolene sets up a lovely romance in the town of Creede.
I liked Sophia's independence and determination to build a new life for herself while burying a past she didn't deserve but of which she's ashamed.
Otto sees the best in her even when others only desire is to see her return to her past ways and possess her. He's got a tender and forgiving heart that makes him a little swoon worthy.
And of course, there's an angel orchestrating how to bring them together. Their mutual love of horses doesn't hurt either.
Clean read. Well written.

Guardian angel in a good place.
Sophia was really deserving a better life. Instead of letting the kidnapping and time locked up to break her she made her decision to do better. To start a new life. Otto is a very good man. He just fits as a blacksmith and horse trainer. Now he meets his guardian angel and a new path opens for him. He is perfect for Sophia. Add Mrs Sanderson to the mix and wow. I love this story.

Sophia was one of them kidnapped and when a fire happened, she was rescued from the cellar. Trying to rebuild one’s life was not easy. Instead of walking to meet with the women she decides to get a buggy. In meeting Otto life change for her, and found she was a natural with riding a horse. Being around him, and trusting she was afraid of, they have baggage, can love find away.Nice western book to read.

Reading Enjoyment:4.5* I enjoyed this heartwarming story. This is an excellent addition in this series where Guardian angels are there to help settle the wild west town of Creede Great concept!. This story has it all adventure, violence, secrets, love and a great story line. This story has a very happy and satisfying HEA.

Excellent story
I enjoyed reading about the friendship among the women in this tale. The acceptance and understanding that they gave to one another. The attitude of a small town goup of people, and the way that a potion of them came together to show support for one another. Especially. the way that tje livery man had such a "modern" point of view.

A girl with a past and a man with a forgiving heart
Sophie was trying to make a new life for herself in the town of Creed but the saloon owner was threatening her and Otto was her rescuer . This is a sweet love story. Sophie had spunk and a big heart. Otto has both a tenderness and strength.

What a great book,Love reading about the angels and cowboys. It' s great keeping up with the people of Creede Colorado . I like it that they don't stop writing about the characters and they keep them in the story. Highly recommend this series. This book was fantastic,

Sweet Romance
I love what great friends the ladies are and how they don't judge. I also loved Tecu as the guardian angel! I liked that she didn't give any more description to being a soiled dove, and how she made herself better! Redemption is awesome!

Another good book in the series. Catches us up on the previous couples, but also sets the stage for future books. There was one spot that seemed out of sequence. Appeared to be an editing problem, but overall good book in this series.

Loved it!
