During her twenties she spent several years living in San Francisco where she developed an abiding love of bagels before returning to her beloved London. She lives in south London with her husband and a very grumpy bulldog.

Stubborn Highlander Men and the futuristic women they love.
I truly though this would be historical erotica but I was wrong. My assumption was based on other Katy Baker books that were hot enough to melt my tablet, lol. Irene MacAskill is a major character in this time travel romance. I’m not sure what she is, but she has the ability to travel through time and influence history. It seems that she’s a matchmaker of sorts that unites people from two different centuries. She appears to each person in their time, seemingly by chance. She speaks as if she is a bit of a psychic. She knows certain things about each persons life and mentions these things to them. Just enough to get their attention. Each person needs to heal emotionally and are unknowingly in search of love. Irene offers each person advice about a certain situation that is to occur that will lead them to their “hearts desire”, although her message is a bit cryptic. She doesn’t tell them what that desire is and she never mentions time travel to the person from the future until she coerces them to the time travel arch, where she gives them another cryptic message and the option to walk through the arch. No one knows that going through the arch will take them back to 16th century Scotland. Those are the basics of this series. Irene MacAskill seems to go missing in action until it is time for each person to make their choice to stay together or not. Highlander men are not accustomed to speaking freely about their feelings and clan obligations are at the forefront of all things, even love. Women of the 21st century are a bit of a whirlwind for these men because of the difference in language and mannerisms. Each story is interesting and I root for lasting love with each story I read.
All three of these books are time travel romance books. Having three women, one in each book, travel from the 21st century to the 16th century. They each have there own fun loving story to find their true hearts desire. Of course, it's not an easy time of four ant of them to get to that goal. All were fast paced, well written and very much enjoyed!
This book will take you away..away into another time, another place
Absolutely outstanding! Fall in love with a simpler time or maybe not so simple because at the end, people are people no matter where you are or WHEN you are. Simply a book you cannot put down. So relax, sit back and prepare to be transported straight to a time where magic exists and love is everlasting.
Wow. That was a great read. Irene Mckaskel has done it again, taking the lead characters through time, love and the ups and downs of highland life. The author has a grand way with words and like me I’m sure you won’t want to put the book down. Looking forward to the next novel.
Book 1, 2 and three, where they would stand alone on their own, definitely come to a crescendo in the last one. The third one was definitely my favorite, but I totally enjoyed all three of them. They were a good length, and a fast read. Primarily because they were well written And entertaining.
I find time travel takes can be tricky if written poorly but this trip of stories engrossed me. I loved the characters and the takes of their adventures. Can't wait for the next books in the series
This Series kept me more. I could not put this book down. I Highly Recommend this for over 18 due to content. This is a Must Read. It is full of Adventure and Suspense.
