Clear concise instructions. Useful even if just flipping through and observing the step by step drawings. I appreciate that it focuses on line and black and white renditions as I think sometimes color gets in the way of learning the basics of form.

Highly recommend for beginners and advanced alike.

This book could be a source of reference for pure beginner who don't know nothing about botanical drawing. It explains basic things about drawing such what tools to use and gives such a useful tips. It also give many examples so the reader can study and do an exercise on their own.

Even though this book has beautiful drawings, I believe it’s better to watch videos if you want to learn how to draw. You can read and then draw and read little and then draw. It’s very boring process and you can’t enjoy it.

This is an intermediate reference book that by passes several steps in the “step by step” guide. I found some of the notes/commentary to be too simple with a touch of a patronizing tone. I guess, I just don’t vibe with this artist’s writing style.

Nice step by step

20 words is required. Why can't a star rating be enough? 10 more words to go before it will release me.
