Frostbitten
I wanted to die that night. I wanted it all to end.
I stood at the edge of the rooftop ready to jump when my tired eyes met her glowing blues.
They weren’t natural. Nothing about her was natural, but I wasn’t afraid.
It wasn’t until her ice-cold fangs sunk into my neck did I find myself terrified.
But why?
Wasn’t death what I wanted? For once, wasn’t I getting exactly what I wished for?
Maybe I had hoped that in death, I would be reborn.

3.5 Stars. I did not think this novella was as good as Hawkins new fantasy series White Heart: The Prophecy, but it still was a decent vampire story. This did end on a little cliffhanger that made me grab the second book to read back to back. Both the first and second book I would rate about 3.5 Stars. I did enjoy these enough that I will read the third book when it comes out. Not a bad way to spend an hour’s worth of time if you like vampires and have Kindle Unlimited.

Faith was good character and well developed. Also Alexa she is powerful character would of liked hear her point of view during the story instead of just faith's.

Frostbitten
This was another book from this author that I've enjoyed reading and to think at first I was just going to download this one and wait to read it but as soon as it downloaded and opened up to the first page I was totally hooked in and it was a fast read. I can't wait to read the next book in this series or heck any of her books really they are all so far that great and they get you at the very opening which is even better. Thank you again Destiny for another great book...

An AMAZING short read from Destiny Hawkins that left my DYING for more!!!
I LOVED reading along as Faith said goodbye to her old barely functioning life and embraced that second chance that she was given by Alexa. We were just starting to scratch the surface of this relationship. I NEED MORE!!!
This is the first book that I read from Destiny Hawkins and will not be the last!!!! She is a very talented author and I can not wait to dive in deeper to this story along with the rest of her backlist of books. I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of paranormal stories!!

Well my my my! I loved this story! It’s short so a quick read. The story is about a girl. A girl who is a heroin addict. Her mom had died of a overdose already and this girl is headed in the same direction. She decides to take her own life... she’s had enough of this life and wants to just die already. Just then a beautiful woman appears to her. Is she just a drug fueled delusion, or is she real? Check out this fantastic Vampire with twist story and find out!

Frostbitten by Destiny Hawkins is a wonderful short story to read. This is a wonderful story to start to a brand new series that I loved reading very much. I am looking forward to book number two by this author. I highly recommedn this story to everyone.

Frostbitten by Destiny Hawkins
Five Stars
Frostbitten is the first short story in what I hope to be a long fantastic series by Destiny Hawkins. This story kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I couldn’t put it down and read it in one sitting. This was a different take on a usual vampire story. I love the way Ms. Hawkins gave great details of the backstory the the characters so the reader has enough information to understand what is happening in the story, but holding back just enough to keep you coming back for more. I love Faith and Alexa and can’t wait to see where this story will lead us next.

Destiny Hawkins’ Frostbitten is the first in the Ice Rose Series.
It is the origin story of a vampire named Faith, and how she adjusts to her new world, under the eye of her supernatural vampire maker Alexa. Since Alexa is unique, even among vampires, there are a lot of adjustments both Alexa and Faith have to make to their lives.
Frostbitten was very well written, with beautiful imagery and captivating characters. Faith was, however, a heroin addict before she was turned, so there is discussions of drug use and being high. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for teens, but it’s good for adults. I enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to the rest of the series.

It was ok
Faith while really wasted was about to jump off a building when she saw Alexa. Then for some reason she changed her mind. Alexa ended up changing her and then it seems the story only goes over a couple of days. All through the changing process.
I feel it just wasn't long enough, it didn't end of a cliff hanger. I'm not really sure what's about to happen. Even though it's a short story I felt that it was really slow, seems like it was a build up to something then kind of just stops. Other then it being slow I do like how it is written, would have loved more action though.i really like a lot of action in paranormal stories because anything is possible 😁

This is my 1st read and review for this author and what a fantastic story, and now that I’ve read this story I’m going to buy book 2 as well and this is the story of Faith. Things have gone from bad to worse for her and she’s had enough of life and Faith just wants to die. A woman stands right in front of her with mesmerising eyes so Faith follows her and what happens next changes Faith’s life forever because the woman who stands right in front of Faith is not human she’s Alexa and she’s a vampire. This is an amazing story and I can’t wait to read book 2 and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Eh I have mixed feelings on this one. I love Destiny Hawkins books, and felt this one was just okay. Not bad but not great in the realm of vampire stories. You have a drug addict that wants to end her life, that changes when she meets a strange woman on the roof top. The second encounter is the one that really changes her life and sets her on a path so far from her old one.
The ending seemed abrupt but the story has so much potential. So I’m going to snag up book two with an open mind to see where it goes.

This is the first book that I read from Destiny Hawkins and will not be the last. Has a good plot to the story and is very well written. This story is about Faith and Alexa. The characters were very intense. What happens next, changes Faith’s life forever. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes this kind of stories. I LOVED this book! I was captivated from start to finish. It is very fast paced and action packed, I could not put it down and stayed up until 3am to finish it! The characters are in depth and I quickly became invested in them. The author does a perfect job at laying the groundwork for what is sure to be a must read series for all paranormal fans. I am very excited for more in this series and from this author.

Great short story about a girl who’s thinks she has no right to live and tries to commit suicide but something appears and she stops from doing so and from then on her life completely changes. I hope she finds a hotty male vampire who will find them accidentally and the connection is awesome! Lol.. anyways that little part is just me in my head but I do hope there is more to this short story. I liked it. I only recommend if you enjoy paranormal short stories.

She finds herself in a place where she must make a decision about the path of her life, but runs into a woman that stands out in an indescribable way. Really great beginning to the series! Caught my attention from the beginning and held it into the end. An intriguing take on vampires and transitioning. It was a short read but held enough information that kept me interested and wanting to know more about the characters and who they are as vampires. I can't wait to read more of this series.

I really enjoyed this story and it's a great start to the Ice Rose series. Loved the way Alexa and Faith met and how it changed Faith's life forever. Another book by Destiny Hawkins that I enjoyed. I'm not really big on vampire stories, but I read this because it's written by Destiny and all her books I've come across so far have been great. I really loved white heart and Descendants of the damned, frost bitten wasn't as good as those two but it's a pretty decent story.

How to be a vampire. Getting a life by becoming a vampire and a true friendship starting. What is not to like. I really enjoyed the book. I wish there was more than the 10 chapters. Destiny began to develop the characters and I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I strongly recommend.

Frostbitten by Destiny Hawkins is a great read. It is a departure from the usual vampire story, with male domination. This story focuses on female vampires showing compassion for each other. the characters a well developed with backstories. A welcome departure for the vampire genre.
