It's a safe read but there was to many mention's of his supposedly manwhore past. Plus it got really annoying them always getting water out of the fridge or drink it.... I was like how many times are you going to mention that. 23 times give or take - we get it they like the water. I also started skimming about halfway though. This book just wasn't for me.

This book ends at 25% and there is a bonus book after.

* He's 23 and she is 19.
* As soon as he sees her again there is no one else for him. Celibate since meeting her not sure when his last partner was. She has had one partner in the past.

Shout-out to me for finishing Overprotected!

I was so bored, I started to skip at some point. The writing was stilted, always telling, never showing.

I used to love the little sister/brother‘s best friend trope but this was poorly executed.

Also, those characters didn‘t feel real. They were kind of plastic for lack of another word.

YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍆, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎

This is kind of a cute book📑, but there doesn't seem to be any happiness or feistiness in the author's writing. There is too much telling and not enough conversation and interaction between the characters. The book📑 is written to a formula for this type of adult romance.
Adults only, there are well written xxx scenes throughout. Absolutely loved💘 the cover!

ARC fronted to Me for a Voluntary and Honest Review.
I also bought the published book📑 through KU.

Emma is 19 and goes off to collage , she doesn’t stay at a dorm she stays at her brothers bestfriend taylors apartment. Jackson is very hot and a football 🏈player who hasn’t seen Emma in a little while. When she shows up at his doorstep ready to move in he knows he’s introuble. Emma has always been overprotected by her entire family and all she wants to do is be on her own and life her life. She wants Jackson and always has since they were kids. They have to hide their relationship from everyone and at one point they do break up. But Jackson realizes he can’t be without her especially after one of his teammates tries to put the moves on her. Everything changes will her family approve of their relationship? Or has he screwed his career and friendship?

Friends to lovers romance. Perfect Superbowl day read since Jackson, H in this story is pro football player. His best friend is Greg who happens to have a sister, Emma, they have always protected. Emma has always had a crush on Jackson and now she's all grown up their feelings come to the surface.
Really cute sweet with some definite heat in the sexy department romance read. The author tried to throw some drama that was unnecessary to the story and as quickly as it started it ended, so I could have done without that but overall good quick sports romance in Superbowl Sunday!!

Very sweet and a little sexy. Not a lot of angst but a lot of emotions, the H was a sweetie who fell hard for the girl he'd known forever. The best part is even though he fought it he didn't fight to the point of stupidity, he quickly realized that he was all in and went for it. Happy endings. 😊

No tension

I liked the characters and the writing style,
but the plot was uber boring. There was a couple plot lines that could have amped up the tension, but they just collapsed. I was really disappointed.

Overstated

We get it. She is off limits! How many times can that possibly be said? There was just too much repeated, that it became impossible to enjoy the story. This was just not my cup of tea.

What a Sweet Romance

When 19 year old Emma heads to college in Nashville,, her older brother calls on his BFF Jackson who is there to play football to watch out for her. What happens when Jackson winds up being the biggest threat to Emma. The sexual tension is thick, the romance is sweet and the heartache so painful as Emma deals with her relatives in letting her grow up and experience love.

Romatic Book and Plenty of Bonus Stories!

A wonderful light read, heavy on the romance, light on the drama. But the real treat comes in all the bonus stories after the main event is over!

Emma and Jackson, best friend’s younger sister

They’ve know each other for years. He’s watched her grow up as she’s his best friend’s overprotected baby sister. With him going pro, he hasn’t seen little Emma recently . And he forget when his friend said she’d show at his apt where she’d live temporarily to start university. He was not prepared for the woman at his door, beautiful, curvy and smokin’ hot! Aw lawd, what has he gotten himself into?

This is the best story yet from Lulu Pratt about a professional football player, Jackson, who is known to be a player off the fields as well, and his best friend’s younger sister, Emma, who moves in with him when she starts college away from home. Emma’s brother sets it up with Jackson since he is very very protective of her and since Jackson grew up with him, he thinks that Jackson is her surrogate brother and will protect her just as fiercely. Emma is all grown up now and Jackson notices it, she’s a woman now, a woman he wants and she wants him...how will her brother take it ?
What an amazing story that I couldn’t put down, Jackson was a steamy man and Emma was a smart beautiful woman. I loved the build up between them and how they took it slow, not jumping into it....swoon and sigh worthy. I loved how Jackson after he realizes he made a mistake, owns up to it and doesn’t give up....sigh and swoon worthy. I loved how Emma also stood up to everyone, her brother, Joe and even Jackson...cheering & high five moments. I also loved that even though he was a man wh***, there was no drama with his past women....refreshing. The story flowed beautifully, the steamy scenes were sensual, the characters were amazing, and I couldn’t put it down.

Beautiful story of growing up and having a chance with your childhood love. Jackson has been best friends with Greg forever. Greg was super protective over his sister, Emma. Jackson fell into the habit of behaving like a protective older brother, too, until Emma grew up and that crush turned into a wild attraction! Ms Pratt has done a great job of blending Emma's blossoming while away from her family, and Jackson's need to protect her balanced with his desire to nurture her into this amazing person. I really liked that both characters tried to be respectful of Emma's family while struggling to be true to their own feelings and desires, and how they both have to dig deep to find the strength they need to deal with their situations. The secondary characters were solid and memorable, the football setting added some action to the story, and the many sex scenes were hot. Great read.

I received an arc of this book and have voluntarily reviewed it.

I loved the ups and downs Emma and Jackson go through, both individually and together.

Lulu Pratt has done it again and written another amazing book! The characters are well developed and the story plays out so well. Emma is 19 and after studying at a community college she transfers her credits and will now be going to the University of Nashville. She's leaving Chattanooga to move to Nashville alone. But the catch her overprotective brother (Greg) has put in place is that she must stay with his best friend. Jackson is 23, he's Greg's best friend, and he's on the Trojans football team. Jackson is also the person Emma used to have a crush on. What will happen when Emma moves in? Will sparks fly and if they do will they be able to keep the secret from her brother? Read to find out! There's NO cliffhangers and NO cheating. And definitely a HEA! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Amazing sexy read. Very well written story with great storyline and plot. The characters are well described and develops nicely. They are likeable and I had a great time reading this story. A story with twists that only makes it better and more captivating.
A book with lots of chemistry, passion, heartbreak and emotional ups and downs. It is about letting go and let people make their own experiences.

It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. The epilogue is very welcomed and gives the story more to it and it finishes better of than without it. The story flows nicely and it is very captivating.

This was a great read from Lulu Pratt and Overprotected was the perfect title. Emma has always been protected- by her brother, his best friend and her parents. She is finally breaking free to go to college but the one concession she has to make is to live with her brothers best friend, the one she has secretly had a crush on for years. This is a great book with passion, heartbreak and some subterfuge with an HEA. Loved it. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

A fantastic book about a sweet nerdy girl going off to college. Her parents and especially her brother are super protective of her and will only allow her to go because his best friend Jackson said she could stay in his spare room, and he would keep an eye on her. Little does Jackson know, but sweet nerdy Emma has grown up, in all the right places. How will he be able to keep his hands off her? Emma is excited to be staying with Jackson, she has always had a crush on him. Now the good parts...will they be able to their hands to themselves? Will they find love with one another? What will her brother think of all of this? You must grab this book and find out all the juicy details and the ending!!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

A well written romance that will suck you in from the start. Emma is on her way to Nashville to go to school and will be staying with Jackson who is her brother Greg's best friend. Jackson and Emma grew up together and she has always had a crush on him, she never knew that Jackson was harboring a crush of his own. Having an overprotective brother who asks his best friend to watch his sister, will Jackson go against the "bro code" and go from what he really wants which is Emma? He's also a pro football player that is just starting out so what will happen if he needs to make the choice between football and Emma? Well I can tell you that this book was very enjoyable and would most definitely recommend this to those of you who like a good romance.

Yet another wonderful love story from Lulu Pratt, I have already read few of Lulu's and this I loved a bit more. This is story of a geek girl coming out of her family wings of protection and falling for the man who promises to protect her. Jackson is a famous football player of Tennessee and his best friend Greg's overly protected little sister Emma moves to his city for her college and he promises to protect her until she gets situated. But what he didn't expect is meeting her as a completely grown woman and his promise flies in the air. I loved how both are strong individuals and how they react and treat their attraction and emotions towards each other.

I liked this storyline about Emma transferring to a University and staying with her brother's best friend and pro quarterback, Jackson. As you can imagine they are attracted to each other and play around, but before it heats up to high Emma moves out. All sorts of high jinx ensues. Will Emma and Jackson reunite?
I found the characters believable and fun to follow along. I liked Emma's new friend, Bella. She was full of life and just what Emma needed to help her come out of her shell. Likewise, Jackson 's friends were more series and in the case of Emma's bother overprotective.

Emma just wants to go to Nashville and away from her overprotective brother and family. The catch she can moved to Nashville if she stays with her brother's best friend Jackson.
Jackson is an NFL players who can't believe that he agreed to watch over his friend's little sister.
When these two come together they cannot deny their feelings for each other. They decide to take a chance on what they might have together.
Lulu Pratt gives the readers a sweet story that has you cheering for Emma that she stands up to her brother and Jackson that he gets his dreams - playing football and Emma.

Emma's moving out of her childhood home and moving to Nashville to start college. Her overprotective brother asks his best friend pro footballer Jackson to take care of her and keep her safe from over zealous males.
But who's going to protect Emma from him?!
Jackson can't keep his mind off Emma and eventually his hands off her too.
Overprotected by the brilliant Lulu Pratt is a standalone steamy brothers best friend romance filled with football action and hot sex scenes.
