The third exciting Medieval Fantasy-Adventure novel of the series, The Chronicles of the White Tower, Winter Moon is a read alone book, although it makes references to, and contains characters from the first two books.
Marie Anne, a young Adepti of the Order of the White Tower has the mission to revenge the deaths of some of the Order, and to prevent an overwhelming attack on the Castle. Her mission takes her across the sea in a small boat to the lair of the dreaded Lord Archmont – the self called 'King' of the pirates.
Here she meets both friends and enemies, finds a sort of love for the first time, and discovers what sorrow is.
An Englishman who, for the last thirty years, has lived in Spain, Mark Patrick has enjoyed a lifelong love affair with books. Add to that an early training in photography and cine, and you have a writer who sees his writing as the art of creating cinema in the mind.
He believes characters should have depth, as well as faults and limitations. They are as important to a book as a strong, fast moving plot.
Sharing his life with a wife, three children and two dogs (at last count), he’s a lover of most types of music; particularly vocal jazz, photography, old films, and older jokes.
If you visit, you might find him reading anything from A (Austin) to Z (Zola), or passing through topics in the Encyclopedia Britannica between novels, while listening to Mozart, Miles Davis or Billie Holiday.
He likes getting feedback. You can e-mail Mark at markpatrickspain@gmail.com and he'll try and respond to messages (as long as they are polite).
