How else was she going to parlay her two favorite past times into a career?
Emma is single and loving it. Like her first character, Alysin, Sin for short, she doesn't believe in settling or in settling down. She loves to indulge in her passions whenever the mood strikes and enjoys keeping all of life's cliche moments spicy.
Known for her sense of humor, Emma surrounds herself with friends whose antics often become the source of book fodder. Her ideal situation would be to explore the Caribbean while writing. She pursues that dream daily.

I read For Eternity by Bethany Lopez. For Eternity is a quick story. This is Carson and Natalie's story. I haven't read The Time for Love series but I plan to. If you want more of a background on Carson or Natalie you might one to. But you could get away with not reading it. For Eternity is sweet and romantic. I am looking forward to more of Bethany's books.
This review is for Irish Affair by Amanda Heartley: I loved this story from the beginning and found I didn’t want to put it down even to sleep. Amelia finds herself on a plane to Ireland to meet what might be the one. But she gets a surprise when she knocks on his door. Why does she seem to always pick the wrong men? When she is drowning her broken heart at a local pub, a young good-looking man sits beside her. She wants this man to talk to her, unlike the other older men who wanted to buy her a drink. After all, they were old enough to be her father and grandfather. She texts her sister about the hottie that sits beside her and Claire tells her she needs a little fun and to enjoy herself. Rory is looking for a little peace and quiet, a little time a local pub might get his creative juices flowing again. When he sits beside the pretty girl at the bar, he wonders if she will recognize him. He finds himself wanting to spend more time with Amelia and wants her to see his homeland. Maybe that will change her perception of Ireland and show her that not all men are a$$holes. While Rory and Amelia roam around parts of Ireland and he takes her to his parents home, they become close and both are beginning to have feelings for each other. Amelia can’t have another relationship that will end before it gets started. So she leaves before he wakes up without leaving him anyway to contact her. Will Rory find Amelia when he visits New York? Will Amelia regret leaving Rory without leaving him a way to contact her? Can they make a relationship work when they both live in different countries? I love everything about Ireland and when I read the title, I knew I had to read this one. I am so glad I did and I can’t wait for the next one. **A copy of this book was provided by the author and this is my honest review**
Review of: Liam: Bad Boys For Hire Book Four is a standalone novel with cameo appearances of a couple of characters from previous books in the series. Marissa Monroe made her first appearance in Nick: Bad Boys For Hire and this is her story. Liam Donavan an Irish aspiring actor & Marisa's Irish lucky charm or is he. Set in Ireland with beautiful well detailed descriptions & settings of the country, culture, and history as well as paranormal & mythical aspects in relation to Ireland. This novel is brimming with love, lust, luck, twists & turns. A witty, fun, charming, chimerical read with quirky characters and Irish legends.
Something Irish by Heather Young Nichols is a sweet novella that began as a Genealogy trip to Ireland to discover Maggie Dwyer's roots, but turns into her first sucessful one night stand with Eagan O'Brien sexy pub owner. Will Maggie's one night stand turn into something more or will luck not be on her side? You have to read to find out yourself. A light fun read with a irish theme & engaging characters. This novella is the beginning of a series that starts with Maggie Dwyer's best friend. Looking forward to reading this new series.
Review of "With a Little Luck" by Theresa Troutman
This story begins with a life changed and some time away to try to get back on track. Sigourney and Aiden had such an easy chemistry on the page. I was very eager to see where things would go for them. I was totally along for the ride as they got to know one another and Aiden worked his magic to break down the walls Sigourney had put around herself. The line "I want to experience something you love" had me falling head over heels for Aiden Darcy myself. This was a beautiful story and I loved these characters. Troutman has done it again!
This is a review for Irish Affair by Amanda Heartley.
This will definitely be in my top favorite book of the year. Amanda blew me away with this story. It's cute, funny and this brings the scorching heat waves!
Amelia has had a troubled past by men. She makes a decision to leave New York to visit Ireland. Something happens and her plans turn for the worst, until a sexy Rory comes along.
I'm so excited to see more from these characters. The chemistry is out this world hot
Count on Ms. Ayala to make the eccentricities of life fun. Liam is a story about legends and new beginnings. Marisa made her first appearance in Carol and Nick's journey into love. This time around she finds herself on her own quest for happiness. A foreign land, a crazy opportunity and an out of work actor take her life of cloudy days into what could be a sunny life. If she can relax her mind and follow her heart. Romance, Ayala style is full of wacky moments but never light on heartwarming entertainment.
I read Heather Young-Nichols' story SOMETHING IRISH and thoroughly enjoyed it! American Maggie gets stuck in Ireland, but ends up seeing the country with hottie Eagan, the owner of the pub where Maggie's been scarfing down burgers during her trip. She tries not to fall, but... sigh... Eagan is beautiful and kind and obviously has that accent and Irish charm. 🍀 I won't spoil the story except to say that after the time these two had, they had no choice but to figure out their long distance relationship issue. Loved this story and can't wait to read the others!
This is a great collection of 21 stories with an Irish theme all in one set. You will be able to read stories by favorite authors and maybe find a few new ones at the same time. I have read two of the stories and they are:
An Irish Contract by Tee Smith – Isla returned to Ireland after her Grandmother’s death only to find out that in order to inherit the house she and Darcy, her ex-husband, must live together in the house for six months and then they will each inherit half. Will this be their chance to rectify the mistakes of the past or are they destined for more heartbreak?
Irish Affair by Amanda Heartley – Amelia heads to Ireland to surprise the man she has been seeing online however the surprise is on her and the pub seems like the perfect place to forget. Rory is there as well and he is very attracted to her and wants to show her the good side of Irish men and his country. As they spend time together they become close but is this a vacation fling or the start of something more?
Irish Affair by Amanda Hartley: Poor Amelia has shite luck with men. Her fiance cheated, with a man. Her new fling, an Irish guy she met online isn't what he's portrayed himself as at all. Now she's sitting in a pub in Dublin with a no man. But her luck is about to change. I loved this short little nugget. It's well-written and the characters are fun. Rory is laugh out loud funny. This story will make the your heart sing, country music that is.
I could not wait for Carson’s story after meeting him in the previous books in the Time For Love series. Not only do we find out how romantic he can be, but we also get to check out his skills in the bedroom. *waggles eyebrows* It was a quick read that was sweet & sexy and absolutely perfect.
Natalie, who used to to be in an abusive marriage, is swept off her feet by Mr. Romantic...aka Carson. He’s had his eye on Nat for quite some time, and he couldn’t wait for the opportunity to make his move. He takes her to Ireland, letting her see places she’s never been to before, experiencing things she’s never had the chance to do before. The sparks fly and these two together couldn’t be more adorable.
Ms. Lopez delivers a good story within this well-written novella and gives the reader everything they need.
I look forward to reading the rest of the stories in this set!
Just read Irish Affair by Amanda Heartley Fast paced romance Amanda has written a storyline that has all the feels. There’s disappointment, sadness, anticipation, and joy. And it’s fast paced, sexy, and fun. I liked both Amelia and Rory. Amelia decides to surprise a friend and travels 3,000 miles to do it but she’s the one who is surprised and not in a good way. This has not been a good 6 months for Amelia. Rory shows up one night at the tavern where she’s staying and, as they say, the rest is history. The story progresses quickly with some very hot steamy sexy scenes between these two. I enjoyed the story. Can't wait to read all the stories in this anthology. May be a little Irish luck will rub off on me!
Excellent book...well written with great character development. It took you through a lot of emotions but you'll love the ride. The main characters, Rory and Amelia, were meant to be together...such chemistry. Before I knew the book had ended but you wanted more, then I realized there will be two more books. Big thumbs up on wonderful book. Definitely recommending this book to others.
This is a review for Irish Affair by Amanda Heartley. This is a spectacular book, there is humour and chemistry coming in waves. Ameliahas trouble trusting men, she makes a decision and leaves New York to go visit Ireland. Nothing goes to plan and she gets tangled up with the sexy Rory. Can't wait for the rest of the series.
Have not read all stories in this book but this is a review for Irish Affair by Amanda Heartley
This is the story of Amelia and Rory. Amelia doesn't have much luck with men first she was let down by her boyfriend in America then she flew to Ireland to meet a man she had met on a dating sight only to find him with his wife. She decides to drown her sorrows at a pub there man old enough to be her father if not grandfather try to pick her. A young hottie sits beside her Rory is just trying for some peace and quiet he is flabbergasted when the beautiful woman beside him doesn't recognise him after all he is one of the hottest music talents in Ireland. The scene where his song plays in the bar and Amelia trashes it is hilarious. Rory decides he will show Amelia his Ireland in a hope that he can change her bad opinion of it. One thing leads to another and they spend the night together when Rory akes up the net morning she is gone. Will he be able to track her down in America you have to read to see.
This is the first book in this series and has the makings of a great romance series I would highly recommend it to anyone.
I was given an ARC copy of this book but this is a true and honest review
This is a review for Amanda Heartley's contribution to this box set, Irish Affair.
Well, Amelia! Looks like Cupid has a plan for you. It’s not exactly what you think… But maybe, when you stepped onto Irish soil you grabbed the attention of a passing Faerie… with a slightly twisted sense of humor, who gave a little nudge And Cupid’s arrow went awry… Or, maybe not. Maybe that little nudge made it fly true. There’s a certain Irish singer who is gonna shake your opinions about country music… Yep. Rory will change your mindset about a lot of things. Oh, look! Is that Faerie dust in your shoe?
Amelia and Rory’s story is quite a journey of the heart… for both of them. This is the first installment in a series, and so not everything is resolved at the end. But it’s so good, it only made me want more!
My favorite line: "You seem like a nice, normal guy-- apart from being an ass. You’re not hiding a wife at home are you?”
My bottom line: Sweet, sexy, snarky and wonderful. 5 shamrocks…. Uh, stars.
Amelia is unlucky when it comes to men. She meets Rory at a bar after being hit on by men old enough to be her father or grandfather. After spending time together, she leaves without telling Rory. Will they meet again? Is Amelia's luck with men going to change? A sweet love story to check out in this book with a total of 21 authors.
I received an arc and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tempting Luck is a box set of 21 short contemporary romance stories by some amazing authors with themes of Ireland, love, trust and luck. This review will be for An Irish Contract by Tee Smith. It's a second chance romance, in which divorced couple, Isla and Darcy, find themselves back in the same house Isla grew up in in order to save it from being torn down after her gran passes away. It's a sweet story with two strong minded characters with flaws that come full circle. It was well written and an easy read.
This is a review for With a Little Luck by Theresa Troutman Sigourney is a piano and violin player. She is totally devoted to her music. However, everything changes after having an accident. Her left hand is badly damaged and even after therapy she is not able to play the piano or the violin as well as before. Aiden is an Irish chef who is totally devoted to his job. The story is very sweet and quick to read. We meet again Sebastian and Tessa and their ability to take care of the people they love. I wish the story had been longer.
I just finished Moving On by Emma Tharp and loved it! I loved reading the descriptions of Ireland and the dialogue in Irish accents. Scarlette and Braeden’s story was difficult to put down and I was sad when I arrived at the end of their story. I can’t wait to read the next McCloughlin brothers’ book!
A great anthology of 21 romantic stories, all based in Ireland. One book that I especially liked was Emma Tharpe's Moving On. This is book one in the McLouglin Brothers series. Scarlet faced a triple whammy, a cheating boyfriend, the lost of her job and her grandmother had a stroke. She decides that s trip to Ireland and a two week fling might be the thing to brighten up her life. A good romance with interesting characters and a good story line. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review
These two are destined, he's just waiting for her to realize it. Short, sexy read. Dylan wants his woman and he's tired of patiently waiting. As luck would have it, taking their friendship to the next level is a very realistic adventure.
Filled with five-star read's you will be rubbing for luck!! The Luck Maker by Andie M. Long a five-star read you will be rubbing for luck!! What a great story, Anna Hepplestone from Hackenthrope is a woman who had a spoiled trip to Ireland after going for a hen weekend and she’s a braver woman that I am as I don’t know if I would try again. But then again, I wouldn’t have the luck of the Irish charm of Molly Malone and the luscious lips of Cillian Murphy (A fine name for an Irish fella if you ask me) This is a funny and sweet read and I am sure you will be wanting a pint of Guinness to drink along with the read, it will put you in the mood for the dark stuff and a little romantic comedy. If you are reading this as part of the Tempting Luck anthology then I’m sure you will be wishing upon lots of stars, but I’m sure this Irish one will shine bright.
I had the opportunity to read a complementary copy of "Something Irish" by Heather Nichols - Young in exchange for an honest review and I can't wait to read all the other novellas included in this collection if they are as good as this one. The story was well written and characters were fun to read, the last page left me desperately wanting more. I was excited to read that there will be a series later that includes one of the sub characers we were introduced to. I can only hope that there will be some cameo appearances by Eagan and Maggie as well. If you are looking for a fun- "Irish" themed book to read - then this is a great add to your collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!
This review is for Irish Affair by Amanda Heartley: Love, love, love this book! Ms Amanda has done it again and made me fall in love! The fun, flirting, and loving between Rory and Amelia is off the charts. If I wasn't grinning like a fool, I was saying damn I wish I was Amelia!!😉 I seriously can't wait for the next one!!!
I voluntarily review an ARC of Irish Affair. I really liked this book and the loveable characters. It just seems unusual for me that there are no evil people in this book, just unfortunate circumstances. The writing style is fluently and I could relate to the protagonists, suffer with them and be happy for them. This book ends with a mild cliffhanger that makes the reader beg for more. Well done!
This is a review for Amanda Heartley’s Irish Affair. Enjoyable well written quick read. I had not read any of her books before. Looking forward to reading more by this author.
Bad Boys for Hire: Liam is an amazingly fantastic story of learning to refocus and reclaim your life in the face of continued opposition and blatant sabotage. This story wound its words and hope around my heart, and it wouldn’t allow me to give up hope no matter how entangled and twisted things became. When I wanted to rest to save my heart from breaking, it pushed me forward into the coming storm, and helped me to brave it. Just the face that the country of Ireland has endured so much tragedy and ugliness and still survives and thrives is enough hope that a new days is on the horizon no matter how long our night seems to last.
Marisa is a woman who continually rushes into situations heart first, gives it her all, and then has to pick herself back up off the floor and start over. It is her over eager heart that always seems to let her down. For example, she has just been fired from being a personal nurse to a paraplegic man, and she is under the impression that becoming a contestant on a reality show will help her find love and improve her luck along the way. Everyone can see failure written all over this idea except for Marisa, but with time to burn, she doesn’t see the harm in a little adventure. Will her adventure lead her to good things just like she hopes, or will it show her just how bad her luck can get? Will Ireland prove to be the lucky place that some claim it is, or will she find it too harsh, dreary, and barren to give her anything good?
It was such a thrilling pleasure and delight to watch this story unfold before my eyes. This book is one laced with excited hope and high expectation that feels full to bursting if not met as desired. The wonderful characters made this story so vibrant and real for me. They taught me so much in a short amount of time. Their slow yet beautiful progression was sometimes breathtaking and other times cringe-worthy. Nothing too away the blazing hope that dripped from each word as it feel from my lips. That was what kept me going when I thought things were too ugly and painful to continue forward.
Rachelle Ayala has written yet another brilliant work of art that will show you that no matter what the state of your life, always know that you can remake it into the stuff of dreams with enough heart, effort, and hope. While we can’t control the influences of others on our life, we can control how we react and the choices we make. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes; just be afraid when you don’t pick yourself up afterwards.
I read the mega-talented Josie Kerr's delightful contribution - Whiskey and Serendipity
Favorite Quotes:
His deep voice reminded her of a really good bourbon—a little raspy, but ultimately smooth and languid.
Oh, don’t call me Mr. Harper. That’s my ol’ man, and I haven’t pissed you off enough to warrant that sort of bone-deep ugliness.
Babe, if this is your version of fast, going slow just might kill me…
Yeah, you’re right—this is a lotta look. It’s like . . . a granny’s house, but only if that granny was obsessed with both Gunsmoke and Miami Vice.
You know, when I met Nolan, Bridget promised she’d never try to fix me up with either of his brothers because you both needed hand trucks to haul around your emotional baggage. But you know what? … I’ll take you, baggage and all.”
Hold on, darlin’. Give me a chance to get the blood directed to my brain again.
My Review:
They met on a long plane ride and enjoyed each other’s company as they crossed the Atlantic, but despite the immediate attraction, somehow they didn’t exchange information, but then they just so happened to meet up again while attending the same conference in the same Irish hotel. Fate – maybe, serendipity – obviously, outstanding Irish luck – most certainly! I adored this book start to finish! Josie Kerr has a wily sense of humor and is a master storyteller as she quickly sucked me into a captivating Cal Harper/Kat Fahey vortex with her cleverly amusing writing style, alluring and quirky characters, and enticing and engaging storylines. Even the cranky characters were appealing and/or intriguing. And sizzle and snap – this couple threw sparks and scorched the ceiling as well as the sheets. This series has proven to be addictive as the other stories are already beckoning to me. I greedily want all Ms. Kerr’s lovely and witty words; I need to know all there is to know about each of them. Thankfully I already have the second book ready for perusal.
