What an excellent read. It was quick and sweet at times, funny, mysterious, suspenseful and full of twists that keep you guessing the whole way through.

I loved each book, each was its own story, and it had a different twist and plot.
Loved it!

From adventurous maidens, mysterious gentlemen and a love that forms slowly, its a beautiful read.

Received a copy from the author herself, for an honest review, thank you!i

I was fortunate enough to receive this volume set, and I'm so excited to read and review these novels! Erica is a fairly new HR author for me, but I have quickly come to really enjoy and look forward to her amazing novels. I'll leave short review for each novel in this set and close with my finals thoughts/recommendations. Enjoy!

LORD OF CHANCE
What really makes a great novel for me is likable/relatable characters. If I don't care about your characters and their struggle, then chances are that I won't be invested in your novel. But so far, Erica has not let me down. Anthony was the absolute sweetest guy!! When they first meet, he is willing to put his reputation and desperate situation aside in order to salvage hers, even though it ends up complicating both their lives later on. He was also willing to work hard in order to provide for his wife and accepts Charlotte for who she is and not where she comes from. Charlotte was also such a realistic character, and I felt for her so much in everything she's had to deal with. She was willing to put her trust in Anthony and believe in him when no one else did, and vice versa. Their story wasn't perfect and had PLENTY of obstacles, but I like how they were able to lean on and support each other. The ending was satisfying, and I'm excited to continue on in this series! 4.5 stars

My Anthony Fairfax, trying to fight the temptation of the gambling tables..

LORD OF PLEASURE
I admit I had a bit of a rough start with book two. The beginning was slow, and I found myself dozing and not motivated to continue reading. However, I love Erica's writing so I forced myself to continue, and I'M SO GLAD I DID. The second half of the book was AMAZING!!!! I LOVED the added conflict when Camellia and Michael were trying to figure out who the other was....and then the disappointment and utter shock when they finally did. I loved how we really got to see so much character depth and growth in the two MCs: Cam FINALLY goes after what she wants, consequences be damned, while Michael realizes what he really wants in life. My heart was pounding in anticipation of their [failed] reunion and just broke for the impossible predicament they continually found themselves in. And the letters Michael wrote for Lady X......if someone ever wrote me something like that, I would be hardpressed to walk away from them for the good of someone else. Overall, I'd give the first half 2.5 stars and the second half 5+ stars, which evens out to 4 stars but I'm bumping it up to 4.5 stars because I can.

My golden boy, Michael Rutland, Earl of Wainwright, writer of poetry and terrible harp player..

LORD OF NIGHT
The absolute stars of this novel were the two MCs, Simon and Dahlia, but most especially Simon. I loved Dahlia because she was the exact opposite of a wilting wallflower, and she carried herself with so much life and confidence for a woman of the ton. Inspector Simon Spaulding was an absolute sweetheart!! He was so considerate and uptight and so very easily ruffled by Dahlia's oddities, and I loved seeing him blush or battle his life-long views of right and wrong in the face of her unconventional actions. My one complaint with this novel is that I wish there had been more action in the middle of the novel. Other than Simon battling his desire to get to know Dahlia better against his need to be a dedicated Inspector and Dahlia thinking about how she would do anything for her wards, there wasn't much going on. I wish we could have seen the Thief of Mayfair in action more, instead of just reading about it. The battle between morality--doing what is right vs. doing what you can in order to protect those you love--was very eloquent and Erica did a great job challenging both Simon and Dahlia. The ending was just so great though and left me squealing in fangirl pleasure. Simon is probably one of my favorite HR heroes ever, so definitely give this series a read, if only to meet him!! Overall, 4.5 stars.

My Simon Spaulding, the sweetest virgin Inspector you will ever meet :)

Lord of Chance
Disguised as a country miss, Charlotte Devon flees London, desperate to leave her tattered reputation behind. In Scotland, her estranged father’s noble blood will finally make her a respectable debutante.
Charming rake Anthony Fairfax is on holiday to seek his fortune and escape his creditors. When an irresistible Lady Luck wins him in a game of chance and a slight mishap has them leg-shackled by dawn—the tables have finally turned in his favour. But when past demons catch up to them, holding on to new love will mean destroying their dreams forever.
Anthony is charming he’s been living on his winnings for years & always manages to use said winnings to keep his family from dire straits. Charlotte wants to be known for herself not her mother’s daughter.
A very good start to the series. It’s a well-written book, the pace is good & the characters are well rounded. I look forward to more in the series

Lord of Pleasure
Nondescript “good girl” Miss Camellia Grenville only ever opens her mouth when forced to sing at her family’s musicales. That is, until the night she infiltrates the ton’s most scandalous masquerade ball held by the Duke of Lambley on behalf of her sister Bryony, and finds herself in the arms of Lord X who happens to be Michael Rutland, Earl of Wainwright who has insulted her sister Dahlia
Irresistibly arrogant and unapologetically sensuous, infamous rake Lord Wainwright always gets his way. When he accepts a wager to turn his rakish image respectable in just forty days, he never anticipates falling for an anonymous masked lover, Lady X or that discovering her identity would destroy them both.
Oh I couldn’t put it down, was absolutely hooked from the start. Nothing better than a rake trying to reform & a ‘mouse’ who develops claws. Carmellia is not the wallflower she is made out to be & Michael is anything but the unfeeling arrogant rake. They are both totally delightful & although I realise that they surely would have recognised each others voices or perfumes but it didn’t matter what was more important was they managed at last to act as themselves not as how society wished to portray them. The pace of the book was good & each masquerade was hotter than the previous one. The other sisters were well portrayed & I look forward to their stories

Lord of Night
Miss Dahlia Grenville is secretly Robin Hood in a bonnet. Her St Giles school for Girls has twenty four dependents and not enough donations. But just as she's about to pull off the heist of the Season, she tumbles straight into the arms of the handsome detective who has sworn to deliver Mayfair's mysterious thief straight to the gallows. Highly principled Bow Street runner Simon Spaulding's world is black and white.
A delightful read, the characterisation is very good the plot is well paced & it was a pleasure to read. This is the third in the series but could be read as a stand alone book. Dahlia has found her life’s vocation but sadly she’s not got the money available so does all she can to provide for her charges. Simon gradually changes from a strictly black & white man to realising that some areas are definitely grey, his whole world is rocked when he talks to his half brother. Simon & Dahlia are attracted to each other from first meeting & the attraction gradually grows. Another book written with compassion, the girls are charming & all the way through I was routing for them to be able to achieve an honest position. I’m now looking forward to the next in the series

The first three Rogues to Riches books have been put into one volume. I love Erica’s books & this series doesn’t disappoint, easy to read with well paced plots & very well portrayed characters. I can’t wait for more

My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Lord of Chance:
Anthony and Charlotte fell victim to the well known in Scotland but apparently not England law that if you announce yourself married boom you are legally married romance troupe. As tired of this troupe that I am this was cute and well executed. This has to be one of the best written books by Erica Ridley I ever read, the ending fell short for me but as a whole this story was really good.
Lord of Pleasure:
Lord of Pleasure is book two of Erica Ridley's new series Rogues to Riches. This is another great story by Erica Ridley, the characters are likeable and the whole situation is humorous. It's a fantastic Cinderella type story. Camellia is the perfect daughter she does as she's told, she sings when they want her too and what they want her to sing, she's also the sensible one, but her parents go too far when the arrange her marriage to a much older gentleman who doesn't even have the courtesy to actually ask her, then leaves for a month. Lord Wainwright, Michael, is tired of getting his image drawn as a caricature in the paper linking him to all sorts of gossip and rakish behaviour, sometimes it's true but he's tired of being made fun of, as a joke his friends bet him he couldn't stay out of the gossip column for 40 days.
Lord of Night:
A chance meeting on the streets of St. Giles Dahlia is saving a young girl from a man with nefarious purposes and Simon comes to their aid, from that night on Simon life is different. He stops by the school and visits with the girls even helps them learn how to dance and his attraction to Dahlia grows into love. Dahlia loves Simon with all her heart but she has to many secrets from him and as much as it hurts she can not risk her girls or his job for their love. After meeting Dahlia Simon realizes there are more things to life than just being a runner even coming to terms with his half brother and becoming friends with him. Dahlia has changed his outlook on life, but will all that change after he finds out who she really is? My new favorite. I love Simon so much.

Lord of Chance - From bad to worse to love. Anthony is no girl's dream man. He gambles, flirts and is in debt up to his eyeballs but his sexy charm reels in a woman that may just have him seeking to change his ways. Charlotte is a woman that just can't catch a break. The sins of her parents have become her constant companions as she seeks to have a chance at finding herself and mending her reputation. She's not looking for trouble, yet it finds her all the same. Scandalous, endearing and hard to resist, the adventures of this scrumptious duo are not to be missed. Lord of Chance is 5 star material. (5 star)

Lord of Pleasure - Eat your heart out Cinderella, you've just met your match. Camellia is a late bloomer, but when she breaks free her wallflower status quickly falls by the wayside. A masquerade ball, a sexy rake, a scandalous wager and liaison take her from the shadows to the spotlight. Her heart and reputation will never be the same. Lord of Pleasure dances it way into a classic as it scandalizes and romances as it succeeds in casting an enchanting spell. (5 star)

Lord of Night - Lord of Night felt like stepping into a Jane Austen novel. From the charming characters to the addictive dialogue and the heartwarming lessons delivered along the way. Ms. Ridley knows how to capture heart and grab attention all in one sitting. Dahlia is the kind of character I like to see. She listens to her heart and never lets fear factor into her choices. Humanity as a whole could learn a lesson from this woman. Simon is the perfect antagonist to Dahlia. He lives by the rules. When he meets Dahlia, Simon begins to question everything he is. They have much to teach each other about love, risk and optimism. The fearless Dahlia and the by the book Simon may just have met their match in each other. I have had the pleasure of experiencing this brave tale of hope and courage as an ebook and a audio book. The ebook inspires, but the audio version brings the story to life. Ms. Hussey gives personality to an already memorable set of characters. (4 star)

Charming stories! Really great to read some historical romances about people who aren't royalty and who aren't wealthy. Both having their own troubles, which are different from 'whom shall I marry that has enough money and preferably has a title to match'. Sympathetic characters and a lot of fun to read. I loved it!

Lord of Chance

Lord of Chance takes place in 19th Century England and away from the the ton . Well not quite! The "stiff upper lips" of the society still has an impact on the story.

Anthony Fairfax is the lovable rake who finds himself in hot water. A trip to Scotland is just what he needs. It gives him a chance to redeem himself and carry on with his family commitments and have the life that he wants.

Charlotte is frowned upon because of her background and going to Scotland to find her "long lost" father could be just the answer to her prayers.

Anthony is happily playing a game of chance when he sets eyes on Charlotte who happens to be watching the game. He decides there and then that she is his lady luck! Unfortunately, this is short lived. Being a gentleman, he wouldn't dream of allowing a lady to walk back to her lodgings on her own.

Unbeknown to them, the Scottish law is different to the English one and a little mistep lands them in more hot water. All of a sudden, they are shackled to each other! There is no way out and they have to work together for the sake of their reputations. Keeping up appearances is fairly easy to begin with but then they both have to come clean and confess. It turns out that they have to return to England to resolve at least some of their problems.

Anthony's approach to their dilemma is more than honourable and Charlotte is loyal to a fault. They also find that they quite like each other's company. Sexual tension excepted!

It's a gripping story but somehow, they manage to make light of this "accidental relationship." From the start, they both want a place in society but soon discover that there is more to life than social standing. Status doesn't always bring happiness.

Anthony and Charlotte are noble main characters! There are times when I was laughing out loud, others when I was cringing and those where my heart was breaking. I was enthralled by the whole story from beginning to end. I absolutely love the storyline.

Lord of Pleasure

Lord Wainwright is known as the Lord of Pleasure, a reputation that he has built over the years. He only has to enter a room for the ladies to start swooning, either for a chance at the title or to experience his legendary prowess! It's almost as though he is expected to behave badly and give the media a scandal for the ton to gossip about. When two of his friends puts a wager for him to behave and stay out of the newspapers for forty days, he can hardly refuse. These are going to be boring long days but there is always the masquerade where he can stay anonymous.

Camellia is the total opposite. She is sensible and very conscientious of doing the right thing to give her two younger sisters a chance at having a good match. She is the "mouse" of the family and always does what is expected from a lady. She is an excellent singer and her family holds regular musicales which are very much in demand. Deep down, that's ideally what she would like to do but doesn't dare as this would sully her reputation. Her sisters are more daring than she could ever be. When Lord Wainwright upsets one of her sisters, Camellia is not very happy and comes to her defense in a surprising manner. She has always given him the brush off in their previous encounters.

An invitation to the masquerade falls into Camellia's lap and she is coaxed into attending. Totally out of character! When she arrives at the masquerade, a blackguard starts to harass her and this gentleman comes to her rescue. They hit it off instantly. They can both be themselves without any expectations. They agree to meet again at the next masquerade and for two people who don't know each other, they start to form a comfortable relationship which ends up to be romantic. They are getting along really well at their last meeting when something goes drastically wrong. He is now left not knowing who the mysterious lady is and for once in his life, he cares about what she thinks of him. Finding out who she is isn't going to be easy. Can he find a way to convince her of his feelings for her or will his reputation get in the way?

This is a very well written story. It's lighthearted and charming. The characters from previous stories are included and brings a sense of familiarity. I like the continuity aspect and the story held me captive. I would have liked to have seen "mother's" reaction to the last development but that's not to say that it interferes with the storyline. Although, it would have been interesting. All in all it's a beautifully portrayed storyline.

Lord of Night

Lord of Night takes a slightly different direction from the previous books in the series. I enjoyed reading the previous ones, but this is now my favourite.

Simon Spalding doesn't have a title as he was born on what's considered to be the wrong side of the blanket. He doesn't have time for the ton and their superior attitudes. His personal circumstances has taught him not to rely on anyone but himself. He is one of the best detectives in London and dedicates his life to his job. He works long hours and even then, he is at his best at night.

Dahlia Grenville is from an affluent family and doesn't quite comform to what's expected of her. She has turned an old Abbey into a school for girls who would be otherwise on the streets or in workhouses. She is the headmistress and is passionate about what she does. Her twenty girls are as important to her as her own family. Her biggest problem is raising funds to keep the school going.

Simon's first encounter with Dahlia is when she rescues a young girl from an unpleasant ordeal one evening. He is impressed with the way she deals with the situation and admires her cause. His follow up visit turns into regular ones and he finds himself helping out. He doesn't have any fun but, his interactions with Dahlia and the girls give him a different perspective on life. Their relationship turns into something more but Dahlia has secrets. Secrets that goes against everything he believes in! How will he react when these come to light?

Dahlia's dedication and unconditional love for the children are heartwarming. Simon sticks to the rules and is full of compassion. The banters between them are good fun. The story development and the twists are well constructed. The romance between two people from different worlds is absolutely beautiful.

I was kindly issued with an eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

Men as Cinderella are the theme for this series. We are introduced to a different set of rules and ideas. This first book in the series sets up what you THINK will happens. Erica Ridley then gives it her twist.
Lord of Chance is gambling to get money to pay off his debt. When Anthony Fairfax are his "muse" across the room he starts winning again. Thinking luck is back on his side he agrees to let his Lady Luck play with the men. Little doors he know that in doing so he will be own by his Lady Luck.
Charlotte Devon is want to find her biological father whom she believes is Scottish. She wants to see if she can play cards like the men and find out what the thrill is. While waiting for her "father" to come get her, she is allowed to play a round with them and she wins. To her shock and surprise she plays another round and as payment she wins Anthony Fairfax for the night.
As they are heading to her room so that she is not accosted the two of them get into a disagreement. When voices get raised, others guests get upset and comments get said that should not while in Scotland.
Next thing you know you are married and getting kidnapped. One thing leads to another which now has them both wanting what might not be possible until a friend of Anthony's gives him an out that will have both of them getting exactly what they dreamed of but didn't know it.

OMG, you will just love this story.
Erica has outdone herself with this one.
Gossip and society call Michael Rutland the Lord of Pleasure, for a reason. He loves women and he has earned the title. He doesn't see the charm until his friends make a mockery out of his nickname. Mike the his out to prove to his friends, society, and himself that people can change.
Camilla Greenville is the good, dutiful, quiet, and shut daughter. She doesn't cause tissue since her brother and two sisters do. She dreams of becoming an Opera singer but knows it will never happen. That goes against society. When her mother informs her that she will be getting married, shocked is the least of what she is. However, as the dutiful daughter she reluctantly goes along. Until her sister convinces her to take her place at a masked ball.
There she is rescued by someone who is all she wants in a husband. She is treated like she matters. He in the other hand is treated like a regular person and is loving that his opinion is worth something. That his desires are obtainable. They meet once a week knowing it is only temporary. In the last night they get to meet, the two share what they have been hinting at and his identity is reveled.
Now the Lord of Pleasure, aka Michael Rutland, no longer wants just temporary, meaningless partners. He wants his Lady X, aka Camilla, which he has to find. From one setback to another he begins to lose hope until he posts an advertisement. Then he puts things together from his chats with Lady X and figures out who she is.
Now to finish would spoil the book so I will leave you with this.
OMG, what fun you will have reading this story.

Can a Robin Hood woman really get away with the petty crimes for a good reasons.
We met Inspector Simon Spaulding in the previous book and this is his story. He is dedicated, hard-working, and loyal to the crown. His only problem is he could not figure out the "Thief of Mayfair" or where the thief will strike next. There was no pattern or reason for the particular item. He has spent his life perusing criminals and being jealous of his half brother. Now he has to catch the thief to get the promotion he feels is his due.
Dahlia Grenville is the least talented of her family. She runs a school for underprivileged girls. She saved them from the streets and feels that all people should have a way to support themselves.
To save her school she pilfers small items but she sends a note letting the person know where they can claim the item. She has tried all different things to get donations for her school. She is teaching her students read, write, and skills that will get them maids, shop-store workers, bakers or anything that will keep them off the streets.
After much investigating Inspector Spaulding has come up with a plan to catch his thief. Little does he know that it will be his worst triumph.
Erica Ridley has give us a suspenceful, fun, thrilling romanace that will keep you reading until the end. You will laugh, cry, and sigh.

Rogues to Riches (Volume 1)
By Erica Ridley

Great bargain for three delightful historical romances!

LORD OF CHANCE
Great way to start a new series of Regency romances that will, if similar to this first book, be quite different from others of this genre. Why? Because the rogues are not your typical hero and the females are atypical, too. That said – I believe these books will definitely be worth reading. I look forward to reading the series as it is released and wonder how the author will find ways to redeem the rogues she writes about.
A gambling addict running from his debts finds himself losing a large purse, his bachelor status and possibly his heart to a young woman searching for her birth-father in Scotland. Both have secret desires to be loved and accepted for more than they believe others see them to be. Both grow through their journey from first to last page. Both learn truths about themselves, their beliefs about self and others and find a place to fit in the world that they might never have found had then not met one fateful night. I liked Charlotte, her tenacity and ability to rise above the station she began in life. I found Ethan charming and applauded his ability to finally overcome the addiction that could have seen him in prison. I enjoyed reading the growing relationship between the two main characters and though some of the story might not be realistic did like the HEA ending that was assisted by an unlikely benefactor or two. (4 Stars)

LORD OF PLEASURE
Miss Camellia Grenville has lived a circumspect life. She has been the “good” eldest sister and never caused a stir or stepped out of bounds. When her mother calls her in to announce she has been betrothed she is underwhelmed by the man who has been chosen for her and overwhelmed by the thought of marriage to said man. With only a little while to enjoy her freedom she attends a scandalous masquerade party that may change her life forever…if that is…Lord X can figure out which Lady X she is before it is too late. With musicales, social engagements and a whole lot going on you would think true love would thrive BUT when one does not know WHO is behind the mask it makes things much less straightforward, especially when the two falling in love don’t much care for one another when not wearing their masks.
This is a delightful story that explores the idea of living up to society’s and parental expectations versus figuring out what one wants for self and is willing to do to achieve personal goals. I enjoyed the journey made by Lord Wainright and Camellia and look forward to reading book three in this series when it is released. (4 Stars)

LORD OF NIGHT
Simon Spaulding, by-blow of a Marquess, has always had issues with the caste system of society. He is out to set right the wrongs of the world and his code of honor allows for no shades of gray. When he first meets Dahlia Grenville he is stunned. He finds himself returning to spend time with her and the girls in her boarding school as he chases The Thief of Mayfair. His hope is that bringing in this thief will provide him with a promotion none of his station has ever reached before. But, what will he do when he finds out the thief is someone much closer to his heart than he thought?
This was a book that I can see rereading from time to time. The characters are interesting and multi-faceted. There is internal and external conflict to deal with for both Simon and Dahlia as they get to know one another better. I could not put this book down and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also have to say that there is not one single historical novel this author has written that I have not enjoyed. Need I also add that I am eagerly looking forward to reading book four of the series as soon as it is finished. Hawkridge, Simon’s half-brother, will be starring in it and I do believe Faith, Dahlia’s best friend, will be his to win. (4.5 Stars)

Thank you to the author for the ARC – this is my honest review.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get the first three books in this series in one bundle. Each book contains a story about flawed heroes and women that don’t fit into society. As each pair get to know each other they gain the confidence to become the people they really want to be. Rogues to riches refers to the riches they gain from the love of these women and self belief.

In the Lord of chance Charlotte Devon and Anthony Fairfax end up married, quite by accident, under Scottish law. This is a huge mistake as far as they are concerned. Anthony and his have no money and he is supporting them with his professional gambling. He can’t seem to pass up a chance at winning. While Charlotte is looking for the father she has never known. She fears societies opinion of her because of her family and feels that marriage to Anthony is not going to make anything better.
During their travel back to London they find strength and purpose they didn’t know existed. They find a way to make everything work and they find love.

In the Lord of pleasure we meet Camellia Grenville and Lord Wainwright, neither of whom are what they seem. Lord Wainwright is in the public eye constantly and it’s usually for unsavoury reasons.
Camellia Grenville seems like the perfect young lady to society, but she really wants to a singer which would bring scandal to her family.
They meet at a risqué masquerade, are completely unknown to each other, but fall in love even though they are determined not to. When they finally work out the real identities of the other they have to decide if the real person, that they have come to know behind the mask, is worth taking a risk for.

Dahlia Grenville, Camellia’s sister, is something like a modern day Robin Hood in this story. She runs a home for girls who have nowhere else to go. She funds this through donations and the occasional bit of pickpocketing. The owners always get their belongings back by being told which pawn brokers they are in. Everything seems to be going well until she meets Simon Spaulding, Bow Street Runner!
Simon and Dahlia enjoy each other’s company and help each other. The problem is that Simon’s current job is to find the thief hitting Mayfair homes. Everything falls apart when Simon catches his thief. He is sworn to uphold the law, but all he wants to do is protect Dahlia. When is is alright to do the wrong thing for a good cause? Read this story and see if you can answer this question.

The secondary characters in this series pop up in subsequent stories so it feels as if you are getting to know a small family of friends. These characters work hard to overcome their problems. There is no magic wand to fix things. The love and belief of good people help these characters find the strength to change and improve their lives.

I had read, or listened to, (Audible) these books before I was asked to review this bundle.

Lord of Chance
Once I started reading, I wasn't able to put it down. Charlotte and Anthony are completely charming together. The sweet flirtation and witty banter they exchange is delightful and kept me laughing from their very first encounter. I'm finding it difficult to put into words my thoughts about this book. There's a lot of story here, but because of the sweetness and laughter it all felt very light. It touches on some big, heavy topics like addiction and acceptance but it stays away from the dark places it could have gone with those. I love that we get the opportunity to revisit some of our favorite characters from the Dukes of War series, to see what's happened since we left them. I'm also trying very hard to be patient while waiting for our next Rogue.
Lord of Pleasure
Oh the angst! The emotional turmoil! This book shredded my heart into little bitty pieces and then put them all back together bit by bit. I love emotional drama and this book had it by the bucketful. I couldn't put it down, I so badly wanted to know how they'd discover each other's identities. Once that riddle was solved, I still couldn't stop because I needed to know how they'd answer the expectations that were forcing them apart. It nearly broke what was left of my heart. Camellia and Michael are a brilliant pairing. Thanks to the masks and the masquerade, they've been forced to be more honest with one another than anyone else in their lives. They see each other to the heart of the person inside, not society's image. I loved this book so much. I can't wait to read the next in the series.
Lord of Night
I've been impatiently waiting for the next title of the Rogues to Riches series to come out, and I'm so glad it's finally here. We were first introduced to Dahlia in the previous book with Cam's story. I immediately loved her impassioned, crusader spirit. Simon was more of a surprise for me. I imagine it was impossible for him not to be charmed that same vivacious personality but I wasn't sure how they would make it work with his rigid, regimented world-view. It was a joy to watch Simon open up to the world around him. I wish it hadn't taken such a hefty blow for him to understand the world between black and white but I can see that only something that shocking would have sufficient impact. I also really enjoyed seeing Dahlia be the adult in this book, especially since she came across as a little juvenile in her sister's book. I absolutely cannot wait to read the next in the series now that we've had a little teaser what's coming up.
I received a complimentary copy of this book.

I had the pleasure of reading the three books in this boxset at an earlier time and the following is what I had written in my reviews.
1. Lord of Chance
Brilliant start to a new series. This is a wonderful story about two people that met under unusual circumstances and found themselves in an even more unusual relationship.
The story flows off the pages bringing out the courage and mutual respect in both the level headed Charlotte and the rake known as Anthony. This is their love story, and what a story it is.
I so thoroughly enjoyed reading it that I can hardly wait for the next in this series, Lord of Pleasure. Hope you enjoy it too.
2. Lord of Pleasure
Bravo, Erica Ridley. You've done it again.
This is an absolutely delightful and cheeky story where the hero just can't live down his rakish past.
His unthoughtful words cause Camellia's sister to lose a substantial amount of money that would have helped her with her home for young ladies giving them second chances in life and then he and Camellia have a word sparring tiff. So there are already bad vibes between them.
Then he saves Camellia from another's unwanted attention at a masquerade ball and finds himself falling head over heels in love with her. He Is totally floored because he doesn't know what to do about this and neither of them know who the other person really is as they are all masked at these balls.
This is such a super love story and it is told by Erica Ridley in her usual way, engrossing, endearing, enjoyable and easy to read and I heartily recommend it.
3. Lord of Night
The Lord of Night is Simon Spaulding, a Bow Street Runner. He only sees situations in black or white. For him, there are no shades of grey so when he discovers who is steeling from the rich will he be able to close his eyes and look the other way?
In the meantime, he and Dahlia Grenville, a young debutante, have fallen for each other. She runs a home for young ladies who have nowhere else to live.
This is their story and it is written by Erica Ridley as only she can write it, with love and compassion, a little bit of mystery and a whole load of entertainment and for this reason I highly recommend it as a great read.
I received a free advance copy of this boxset and these are my unbiased and honest reviews of the books in it.

Lord of Chance: A light-hearted Regency romance, Anthony Fairfax thinks he has found Lady Luck when he meets Charlotte Devon. Instead, Charlotte wins Anthony when he loses his purse to her. What started as a comedy of errors, in fact turns into a fully-fledged love story. I found the book a little slow in the beginning, but as the plot took shape, so too did my enjoyment of it. I loved Anthony and his boyish charm, as well as Charlotte's common sense approach to life.

Lord of Pleasure is highly entertaining, well written with wit and sensitivity. Both Michael, Lord Wainwright and Camellia Grenville are people who have been forced into a mould, one where they are expected to perform on demand. Michael's reputation as a rake of the worst order attracts unwanted attention and anticipation that he will do something scandalous. Camellia, the mousy good girl is expected to make the correct marriage with a boring man, far from her family and sisters that she loves, and that would definitely put an end to her most treasured dreams. The reader is drawn into this love story and you feel the sense of longing being experienced by the lovers. There is a bit of a Cinderella element to it as Michael sets out to track down the love of his life.

Lord of the Night is like a beautiful quilt. There is mystery, romance, humour and pathos. Dahlia Grenville has an unusual approach to solving the problem of keeping her school for impoverished girls in the seedier side of London operational. When Lord of Night, the taciturn Bow Street runner Simon Spaulding comes to her rescue, the attraction between them is immediate. Unfortunately when it comes to the law, Dahlia and Simon are at opposite ends of the spectrum. At times the story is light hearted and full of humour, but there is also an underlying sadness as the underbelly of life in Regency times is exposed. I loved Simon's character and although Dahlia's choices are not acceptable, she is nevertheless a delightful character, full of love and passion for what she does.

All the stories in this box-set are well written with a good flow of language, making it an enjoyable read. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

A wonderful set of three full stories from the Rouges to Riches Series. From master storyteller Erica Ridley, prepare to be entertained and captivated. Her plots and characters are well written and will pull you in and not let go.

Lord of Chance - This is the first book in the Rouges to Riches series and it leaves you anxious for the next book! Two souls running from different facets of their life are brought together in an unexpected way. They end up working together and in an innocent announcement become tied together unexpectedly! This is a fun read with a lot of humor and romance. You fall in love with Anthony Fairfax and Charlotte Devon who are in the end perfect for each other. The dialogue and characters are well written and hold your interest to the end. You will not be disappointed in this delightful read!

Lord of Pleasure - Two people living behind masks try to live as society deems them. This was such an entertaining story that just warmed my heart. Michael, Lord Wainwright is deemed a rake to be avoided in society. Camellia Grenville is expected to be the proper submissive girl who will marry a most unappealing man and move far from her family. When the two meet at a masquerade ball where they are anonymous, a strong attraction begins to form. When they find out who each other are, can they overcome the perceptions of the public and find their true selves? A well written, fast paced and emotional read, it will grip your heart and not let go!

Lord of Night - Can a Jewel thief and a Bow Street Runner ever find romance? This is an intriguing story about two people, Dahlia Grenville and Simon Spaulding , who are on different ends of the law. Dahlia runs a a home for Orphans and is in desperate need of funds to continue her calling. She resorts to desperate measures to ensure that the home stays open and she can provide for the children. Simon Spaulding is a Bow Street runner hot on the trail of a jewel thief and is determined to find the culprit. This story has a little of it all. Intrigue, mystery, humor and romance. Can the debutante and the working man come together and be happy? A story that will captivate you from the start to end.

This is a box set with the first three novels in the Rogues to Riches series.
Lord of Chance
Anthony is trying to look for some fortune on the gambling tables to win enough money to repay a huge debt that is going to sends him directly to prison.
Charlotte has left London to try to find her father, a noble laird in Scotland. However, she finds Anthony.
Lord of Pleasure
Miss Camellia Grenville is always the good daughter, polite, proper and dutiful. However, when her mother informs her of the marriage agreement between her father and a respectable man but twenty years her senior, everything changes in her life.
Michael, the Earl of Wainwright, better known as the “Lord of Pleasure”, is tired of being in everybody’s mouth but not for the better. He wants everybody to know the real him, not the man they think he is.
Lord of Night
Dahlia Grenville is a baron’s daughter who doesn’t like the society she was born in. She is dedicated to run a school for orphan girls and she teaches them the duties of different positions in a household so, when they are older, they can find a job more easily. Dahlia is always struggling to get money for the school and in desperate times, she has to take desperate measures.
Simon Spaulding is a Bow Street runner and a very good one indeed. Being the bastard son of a Duke, he has always been very jealous of his half-brother. Everything that happens to him in his youth built his personality and his great love for the law. His world is divided by good and bad, black and white.
Erica Ridley’s books are always well-written and very enjoyable. The characters in her books are always honorable, and her stories funny and tender.
I love how the author starts to prepare the grounds for the next novel within the end of the current one.
A great series worth reading.

Lord of Chance
This is an engaging, romantic story. Charlotte is a naive, vulnerable, insecure but determined young woman. Anthony is a very charming, amusing, romantic and captivating man. Finding themselves accidentally married in Scotland is highly entertaining. The drama and romance that follows makes for a touching storyline. This is a must add to your TBR list.
Lord of Pleasure
This is a romantic and amusing story. Michael and Camellia meet at a very exclusive masquerade party. Both feel drawn to each other, so they agree to keep meeting at the weekly masquerade party, not knowing that they aren't unknown to each other. Michael is trying to clean up his image, Camellia is trying to have a little fun before she has to marry a man she doesn't know. It turns out that Michael is actually sweet, romantic, and not immune to love. Camellia finds out that she isn't as much of a "good girl" as she thought. This has a brilliant storyline, entertaining characters and it's an engaging and fun read. It belongs on your TBR list, along with the first book in the series.
Lord of Night
This is fun, entertaining and engaging. Simon is a serious hard working, honest, caring and determined police inspector who needs to catch a certain thief to get a promotion. Dahlia is a sweet, funny, giving and stubborn self appointed owner and headmistress. Supporting indigent girls and giving them a better life is all Dahlia wants, and sometimes she has to resort to thievery. Simon and Dahlia meet when he helps her run off a man intent on kidnapping a girl. They slowly become interested in each other, but Dahlia knows it can't work, because she is the thief he needs to catch. It's a captivating storyline with a heartwarming ending.

Lord of Chance
The story of Charlotte and Anthony. They seem to have insurmountable problems, very little money and Anthony, although charming, has a gambling addiction. Charlotte also has her secret. Can love find a way through all their difficulties?
Lord of Pleasure
This was an very entertaining read. The two main characters, Camillia and Wainwright, are two people who wish to make a change in their lives. Camellia wishes she could be bolder instead of the dutiful daughter she has always been. She always puts others before herself. Camillia's sisters are more outspoken and at times outrageous but they all have a love for each other. Their interactions were engaging. The mother is absolutely dreadful! Wainwright is attempting to mend his rakish ways. He meets Camillia at the masquerade and they develop feelings for each other but will this last when they discover each other's identity. This is a story that will keep you reading to the end, which has a surprise. Highly recommend this book.
Lord of the Night.
This series just gets better and better! I love that the characters in the different books have some type of link. Dahlia is by no means the conventional young miss. She is 25 and the headmistress of a school for neglected girls in a poor area of London. Simon is a Bow Street Inspector and lives for his job. This is a lovely story of two very likeable people who are attracted to each other but given their back grounds can they have a happy ending? In this story we met several other intriguing characters and I look forward to reading their stories. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lord of Chance
What? We’re married? Sacrifice. Love. Ms. Ridley spins a story that you can imagine yourself right there along with the characters - Anthony’s addiction to gambling and Charlotte’s feelings of loneliness. I loved how their romance developed slowly and how they were encouraging of each other. A great read with two people who make you care.

Lord of Pleasure
What I loved about this book is that it is different than most romances. There were two stories going on but with the same people. Both stories intriguing and wonderfully romantic. I loved both Michael and Camellia and their bantering was breakneck and interesting. Ms. Ridley is great at conveying emotions and the musicale scene is a gem.

Lord of Night
I know the series is not over yet, but so far, this is my favorite of this series. Dahlia and Simon are fantastic characters who want to right the wrongs of the world. There is a little bit of a mystery, a surprise I did not see coming and laughing (I laughed out loud at some of the scenes). I am like the girls at the house, who does not like a Bow Street Runner? What a great book.

I previously read these stories as standalone books and was given a copy by the author.

This boxed set is a worthy 4 - 4 1/2 stars!

Don't pass on this opportunity to get three wonderful Regency romances in this boxed set. I had previously read a few months ago Lord of Chance but it was great to read it again before the next two in the series.

Anthony and Charlotte are the main characters in Lord of Chance who end up getting married by accident. He is a lovable rapscallion who loves to gamble and is evading debt collectors. She is looking for a father she has never known as well as wishing to be accepted by society.

Michael and Camellia are featured in Lord of Pleasure. Find out how a wallflower/spinster finds her HEA with a notorious rake after many misassumptions are cleared up.

The lead characters in Lord of Night are Simon and Dahlia. He is a bow street runner/inspector and she, unbeknownst to him, is a female Robin Hood trying hard to keep her school for low to no income girls open. Find out how Dahlia is the one that becomes a "rake" before they find their HEA.

What is nice about these three stories is they feature secondary or periphery characters that have been in other books by Erica Ridley. Such a nice way of continuity and knowing that many of her books are interrelated.

I read and enjoyed Lord of Chance a while ago. It again entertained me upon re-reading in this bundle I received for free. I found the scene wherein Charlotte realizes her fantasies of her Scottish laird father are in fact fantasies very moving. She's shattered. Her mortification is palpable. Very well done. Fortunately there's a very happy ending which leads us into book 2, Lord of Pleasure. Here Miss Camellia Grenville is heading toward an arranged marriage to a much older man very far away from her much loved family. When her younger sister offers her the use of an invitation to a scandalous masquerade (neither how her hoyden sister got on the invitation list nor how she sneaks out at night is explained) she accepts as she decides to be bold. In the anonymity she and a mysterious Lord X exchange their dreams and unmask their inner feelings.
Lord of Night is a Bow Street inspector, Simon, who comes to Dahlia Grenville's aid. She's operating a girls' school for orphans and runaways. The scenes with the girls often add humor to the story.

With three completely different rogues you get new fun and adventure you won’t want to put down.
In Lord of Chance we meet down on his gambling luck Mr. Anthony Fairfax. He loves to gamble, but doesn’t always win. This night he’s winning, big. But then Charlotte Devon enters the game and wins all of his earning, plus him for the night. It just turns out to be guarding her from some unsavory gentleman. They made the mistake of saying they were married so that Fairfax could stay in her room. Well, Scotland has a law that states if you say you are married, you are married, much to the two’s horror.
In Lord of Pleasure we have poor misunderstood (at least by everyone but himself) Michael Rutland, Earl of Wainwright thinks, is the talk of the ton of London and the caricatures as the Lord of Pleasure. Miss Camellia Grenville is the good sister/daughter, she does what is expected of her and doesn’t disagree with what her parents ask her to do.

I love this series. The author weaves interesting plots to entwine the H and h to finding each other. The endearing characters are all faced with difficult problems, mostly not of their making, but put into tough positions because of actions and choices made by those closest to them. In the first book, we meet all the "rogues" of the first 3 books in the series. It is nice to have the three books all in one volume, because the reader is going to want to read them straight through and not have to wait for the next to be released.
