A celibate rock star! Say, what?
Remastered: Spook Mortensen locked down his heart along with his libido years ago. No woman has come close to awakening those repressed urges, until Allegra Hutton, the sound engineer hired to remaster one of his band’s old tracks, turns out to be a curvy bombshell who puts his emotions on red-alert. Turn the volume up to eleven, and experience the thrill of music being made…
This novella takes place after the events of Come Undone and All Night Long , but before the start of Come Together.

~*~My Thoughts~*~ A 5 star rating Wow I think Spook is amazing!! That little taste was definitely enough to leave me wanting so much more. Allegra is my type of chick for sure. What little we get of them interacting is super hot and I can not wait for a full length Spook book!!
Received a complimentary copy from the Author for an honest review.
Oh man oh man. You can't go wrong with rock music, anhot rhythm guitar player and a sexy redhead for a sound mixer...........but will they get to the music? Or just play with each other?
2.5 stars. I gave this one an extra half star because I’ve liked Spook as a character, but honestly thought this entry was pretty weak. It’s a short interlude in the Rock Hard series designed to give us more insight on the strong, silent and celibate Spook – but what’s revealed was a bit disappointing, tbh.
Concept is that a new sound designer, Alle, has appeared on the scene, and like all the other female main characters in this series so far, she has a preexisting crush on Spook. They end up working closely together and get, ahem, distracted. Spook gets spooked before too much of anything happens, though.
I hope there’s a lot more to come for Spook, because the extremely common kink he indulges in does not seem to be enough to merit his swearing-off of sex. Not to mention, this short doesn’t go into his relationships with other band members, and I still have hopes in that regard as well.
Saucy little novelette. Rock Stars aren't really my thing in romance or erotica novels, but being a fan of Ellis' other work made me pick this up. As per usual, the sexual tension and acts are top notch and what I've come to expect from this author. I always enjoy something a little off the beaten path, and this was it.
Madelynne Ellis has written the consequential Girl fan love story. Not every fan girl gets to fulfill all her rock star fantasies in one meeting with her favorite band. . . But Spook certainly takes care of all of that.
What I was hoping from this short novella, was a glimpse into one of the characters from the Rock Hard series. What I got instead, was a lot of unanswered questions. Spook Mortensen is an interesting character. Likes taking erotic pictures, mainly of women in the throes of passion with his friends and bandmates Ash and Xane. Spook himself hasn't been with a woman in a long time. How long? Good question. My guess is at least a year, but the author didn't give any specifics. Spook also hasn't had penetrating intercourse in a long while. Why? Not sure. Apparently he had a bad experience with a former girlfriend that left him physically and psychically scarred, but again, no specifics. Allegra (Alle) is a sound engineer, brought in to fix up a Black Halo song that is going to be re-released. She has been in lust with Spook for years, and now is her chance to get with him. Spook is into spanking his women, but has yet to find a woman that is as into it as he is, until Alle. Alle has an undesirable urge to be spanked. Her previous lovers were too timid, but Spook has no problem helping her out. Except that being spanked is actually more painful than she first thought (DUH!), and after only three smacks, she's ready to throw in the towel and just get laid. However, Spook has no plans to sleep with Alle. He does help her out orally and with his fingers, but that's about it. The story had an abrupt and disappointing ending, where Alle vows to get Spook to sleep with her one way or another. This book comes after Rock Hard book one and Rock Hard book 2, and the author says that Alle will be back in other books, and this story will continue, but I honestly don't care. If you don't read this novella, I'm sure you'll survive.
This book only gets 2 stars because it is not a real book. It should just be a sneak peek at the end of All Fired Up. I am reading Resistor next, which should continue this story.
This book is hot! A little short. It seems like the end was cut off to make a second book. I guess you'll have to get the next one to get the end of the story.
