A brand new sugarkink series from USA TODAY bestseller Chloe Cox!

Kidnapped. By an alien warrior. Who says she's his mate...

Andromeda Knowles has always been a fighter. But when the ex who ruined her life and his drunken buddies confront her about working for the new Leonid-human Mating Service -- the only job she's been able to get after what her ex did to her -- she knows she doesn't stand a chance. Until a huge, powerful, sexy Leonid Dominant shows up and puts his life on the line to save her.

Kragen is everything Andie said she'd never touch: a criminal, an alien warrior, and too damn Dominant for her own good. But he's also wounded, and Andie can't bring herself to leave his side -- or disobey his orders.

Which is good, because he's not letting her go anywhere. Technically, he's kidnapping her. Because he says they're mates. Like actual, fated mates. And the more time Andie spends with Kragen, the more he gets under her skin--and her clothes. Andie sees a side of Kragen no one has ever seen before, and she starts to fall for the noble heart underneath Kragen's rough, Dom exterior...

But when she discovers the secret that Kragen has locked up in his basement, Andie learns that her alien savior has a dark side -- and that there's a freaking reason he's on the run from both the Leonids and the Earth Alliance. One thing is clear: Kragen is a rebel with no plans to change. And he will never allow anyone to take his mate--even if it means taking on the whole world.

But when the Alliance finds them and takes Andie prisoner, Kragen must decide: will he choose his cause, or his mate?

KRAGEN is the first in a brand new series of full length sugarkink romances from USA TODAY bestseller Chloe Cox! It's got sugar and kink in equal measure, though Kragen is...all Dom. And super fun to write. ;) Happy reading! xox Chloe

I have an overactive imagination and too much time on my hands, and the result is...well, lots of books! Which is probably better than the alternative. ;)

I love writing steamy and erotic romances, some dark, some light, but always about something that moves me. And, because I'm totally a sucker, love tends to win out. Everyone deserves a happy ending. :)

My contemporary BDSM erotic romance series, Club Volare, has hit the genre bestseller charts on Amazon a few times, which is just awesome. Right now there are two books, Sold to the Sheikh and Tied to the Tycoon, with a third, Disciplined by the Dom, due in February 2013. And I've also got this paranormal series in the very beginning stages of development that I'm super excited about. When I'm not writing those, I'm gonna be reading -- if you've got any good recs, send them my way!

And if you want to hear about those new releases when they come out, you can sign up for my New Releases list here (I *only* use it for that; I hate spam so much!).

Lots of love, and happy reading!!

This book was pretty good, the story was very good and I loved the idea and how this isn't quite like other alien romances. The hero is crazy possessive and I loved him and the heroine is strong and smart and sweet. I all around really liked this book, there was some parts of the book (explanation wise) that didn't flow as well as I would have liked but nothing that would take you out of the book. And though this book is technically a "dom" book this story is not over shadowed and it is not tons of dom/sub content. Basically the hero and his planet are dom aliens looking for their mates.

With all the woman alien almost gone they look to earth for mates and our hero and heroine are the first pair to mate. But nothing is easy because the hero Kragen is in hiding for breaking a very important and esteemed law. The s*x scene are dom/sub but nothing very intense maybe calling it light would be better but they are very steamy. We get a glimpse of who book two will be about I believe, and I hope. This is a series I defiantly plan to read more in the future.

Kragen by Chloe Cox
Genres: Adult, Romance, Sci-Fi
2.75 Stars

I'm going to start by saying I love Chloe Cox's books and I really did enjoy this story.
BUT.....
This was Not Ready for Publishing!

There are NUMEROUS editing and typo errors.
There are jumpy areas.
My biggest 'pet peeve' is repetition and this has a lot of repetitive sections.
The repetition is so bad it even took away from the eroticism of the story.
And Chloe Cox Knows! how to write erotica!!
What the heck happened?

If all that repetition had been used to increase character and world build, suspense, and action, this would definitely be a 5 star review.

The premise started off interesting and kept me reading. But too often, when there was a section that could have helped build the basis of the story, it got glossed over with repetitive thoughts from both main characters.

Most of those 'thoughts' were ridiculous or became so after being written in so many times.

Will I read the next book in this new series?
You bet I will.
I have faith the next one will be better written. And I did enjoy most of this story.

She just needs to work out a few kinks!
Pun Intended.

Interesting read with lots of original ideas and concepts. I really don't do alien books.. they truly make me laugh out loud!! I have tried before and when they show a blue guy or green guy on the front I just want to shout out REALLY!!!! anyway...

This was interesting that they were looking for females to breed at first and then it turned into something entirely different. Kragen was interesting and was really in a bad spot. He was loyal to his friend and really confused about his pull to Andie. Andie was in an interesting spot and she really knew how to tell Kragen she wasn't going to do what he said.

Now the sex was very gratuitous once they got to it, so be aware if you don't like that this won't word for you.

It is an interesting plot and this sets up the series. I am interested in where this goes.

I received a copy from the author for a honest review.

2.5 - 3 stars!

This has major 1999 Roswell show feels. I could have done without the exhausted "I can't claim you because I'll hurt you" trope. I think there needed to be more steam and more Dom/sub scenes. I thought that's what I was going into. Not a bad read but not a brilliant read either. Lacked some character development but the world was unique and interesting. Still really like this author!

Am I the only one who kept thinking about Kragen Auto Parts?

while this was pretty well written, this one just never grabbed me. I found myself skimming most of the book because it all felt repetitive: so horny, I must claim her, I can't claim her, so horny. horny horny horny.

One of my biggest peeves is "the big misunderstanding." I think this one falls under that umbrella: how about y'all have a nice 10 minute convo and avoid an entire book worth of angst.

(I'll probably read book 2 though haha)

>Book review – Kragen

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 1st in the Alien Hunger series and ends in an HEA. This reality has an alien race trading technology for the chance to find mates. Andie works with the agency that sets up the compatibility studies between earth females and the Leonid males. Andie has been burned in relationships so often that she doesn’t even enter herself in the study. Andie has a wonderful support system consisting of her grandmother and co-worker and friend, Kat. She is saved during a dangerous altercation by a Leonid male, Kragen. Kragen is hiding from his own people and is shocked to find he has a mate.

>Kragen takes Andie to protect her and to calm his mating instinct. He refuses to mate with her because he thinks he will be put to death eventually and wants to save Andie the heartache. The story deals with the power and repercussions of the mating instinct, along with the love of family. All of Kragen’s issues resulted from his refusal to hurt a family member. He also shows complete respect for Andie’s grandma, which is so sexy. Kragen is the ultimate alpha. He wants to dominate Andie, yet will do whatever he can to make her happy, including denying his own desires.

> This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars. The romance is erotic, yet super romantic. The paranormal element only makes the story more compelling. The characters are all interesting, especially Rune and Kat. I cannot wait to read their story. This is a wonderful new series from this author.

This isn't my usual genre but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Ms Cox made the Aliens and the bond between the two 'mates' seem so real that now I want my own hot, 7 ft. alien. The story centers around the fact that Aliens have come to earth, in peace, seeking mates, since they have not had a single female born to their race in over 100 years. Andi works for a lab that takes samples from women hoping to match up with an alien. She hasn't given her blood because she has sworn off men, until she is saved one night by Kragen, an alien to whom she seems to have an unnatural attraction. I won't give the story away but Andi has her grandmother to care for and Kragen has secrets he is definitely trying to hide, nevermind the secrets that the alien hierarchy has hidden from the humans. It will have you reading to the end. And yes there are some hot sex scenes. Cox knows how to write those, but they don't overpower the story they add to it. Can't wait for the next book in this series to come out. Oh - and I desparately wanted to read an excerpt from the next Club Volare book. Can't wait for it either!

Chloe Cox, best known for her totally awesome Club Volare series, has come out with a brand new Sci Fi series, Alien Hunger. The first book, Kragen, is a wonderful hit! And if this book is any indication of how this series is going to go, then I’m really looking forward to the rest of it!
Andie works at Interspecies Dating in the lab. There is an alien race called the Leonids, who have come to the planet to find mates, female mates. But one of their own has something locked in his basement that could get him into trouble with his own people.
Andie is attacked by her jerk of an ex one day while out in the woods. He belongs to a group called “Humans First.” a group she’s testified against. Kagen comes out of hiding to save her. Then, he kidnaps her. It turns out that she’s his mate, but Andie is not too fond of dominant men. But Kagen has not only his own people after him, but Humans first. Can he keep them both safe?
This was an excellent series opener, and I can’t wait to see what Chloe Cox does next!

I’ve read -and liked- worse

I liked this book, it was entertaining and had some interesting ideas. It wasn’t a revelation, this has been done -better and worse- before, and even though some things were generic for genre the execution was pleasant.

This story won’t go down in my reading history as one of the best, but I don’t regret reading it -which has happened before.

The writing wasn’t amazing, there were some mistakes here and there but nothing major, the story was a little bit more than average, the characters were likable (for me there’s nothing worse than a TSTL h or a corny H). There’s room for improvement, I think the next one should be a bit... more?

All in all it’s not a special book but I’ve read -and liked- worse.

This was okay, but I wasn't crazy about it either. I'm not sure if it was promoted as a romance or as erotica. It reads more like erotica... but isn't quite exciting enough. After a build-up to make it sound like BDSM, Kragen didn't really behave in a particularly dominant way and it was a little tame. We were repeatedly reminded of his dominance, but that was about it.

Also, I found Andie quite annoying and a bit dim. Certain phrases were repeated too much... If I read the words "murder basement" one more time, I may scream (and not in a good way).

It was an entertaining enough read, but it could have been better.

I love this authors writting, the club Volare series being at the pop of my favour books list, and I'm delighted to say she smashed it with this new series as well!I
Though set in a completely different world all that we love about Chloes writing is still present. Strong storyline rich with detail, brilliantly written characters who you take to straight away and steaming hot sex scenes - sigh I loved this book!
So looking forward to the next one in the series!

I enjoyed this story, mostly. I would suggest that more proving be given, but otherwise, good story. Some fun twists and turns to the alpha alien meets home town girl trope. I like that the story happens on earth. It held my interest and kept me reading until the end. The ending? Weeeellllll . . . The featured couple find their HEA. So not exactly a cliffhanger, but definitely a set up for the next story. I will look forward to reading it.

Just brilliant

I just loved the main characters, these Leonid's are sexy!!
Captivating story line, plenty of imaginative sci-fi and extra hot romance. I could not put down this book until finished. Absolutely loved it.
I read over one thousand books per year and this one will be among my favourites. I just hope that this will be the start to an extensive series.
I can't wait for Rune's book.

I really enjoyed this new series. I like paranormal and enjoyed the read, although you can enjoy it even if it isn't your genre. It is a full story with some page turning moments. It had a slow start and I wasn't sure I would like the female heroine, but as you got into it, you became involved. It was tender, it was well written. The female became the strength that kept it together. Loved it!

Nice alien human romance. He is on the run and she is hoping for someone different to come into her life. When their worlds collide, explosions start but are held at bay until . . . .

I liked the world building behind this aliens in this book. It was different (while still a Mars Needs Women trope) enough to keep my interest as things played out.

Gramzy is my favorite side character.

Sexy alien romance

I enjoyed the quirky nature and personalities of the main characters in the story. Some of the secondary characters were a lot of fun too with great dialogue. I enjoyed the story but I did find it a bit repetitious and slightly too slow paced to become a favourite of mine.

Andromeda and Kragen

If you wish to be pleasantly surprised by a book from a darker genre, this is your read. It is actually a very sweet love story that is immersed in a world build that is unique. I am looking forward to more sugarkink from Ms Cox from this Loenid landscape. Bring it!

This is a very enjoyable read! I found it refreshing that it has a different take on an 'alien (erotic) romance'. Although it has 'darker' erotic elements, it is still a sweet love story. I'm intrigued about this alien race and their world. I'm interested in finding out more!

I really enjoyed this novel and I'm looking forward to reading the next book (when it is released).
