The Choice

Grant Sommerfield. Dark. Intense. Lonely. With a past he's built an empire to protect himself from.

Nash Levington. Spelled F-U-N. Easygoing. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

And then there's me. Journey Walker. A good girl with too many responsibilities and too little fun.

Not that I’m complaining. As a physical therapy assistant, I love working with the elderly and disabled. I've managed to create a good life for me and my Down Syndrome sister from the ashes my mother left behind. I love my life. I love my sister. I’m content.

Until I meet them. Grant. Nash. On the exact same day, no less. They’re complete opposites, and they both pull out a side of me I wasn’t aware existed.
The side that wants to play. Wants to love. Wants to enjoy new experiences.

When my sister goes to camp for three weeks, things become interesting. And complicated. And so very seductive.

Grant. Nash.

How's a girl to choose? Maybe I won't.

Or maybe the choice will be made for me.

*** This is a full length novel with a happily ever after, no cliffhanger, no cheating, and plenty of steam. ***

Firstly I want to say that this book for me, was a lot to take in. Just like the female character, I also needed to step out of my comfort zone because I rarely read about threesome encounters. It is not because I haven’t an open mind but I actually am not drawn to it. On the contrary as I began reading the book I was pleasantly surprised by the storyline and the love that came out from all the characters. A beautiful girl who has had a difficult life with a sister who has a disability, meets two handsome men with whom intertwines an intense relationship after discovering that both are best friends. Will she go on with this particular relationship or will she finally choose the “one”? A wonderful read with some twists. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of the book.

This story was an unexpected surprise. Not your typical threesome romance at all.

Journey is a physical therapist who is the main carer for her disabled sister, Jasmine. Over the course of 24 hours she meets two delicious men, Grant and Nash. She dates both of them, and falls for both of them in her own way.

When it transpires that Grant and Nash are best friends, she’s shocked to the core. Neither man wants to give her up, so they tentatively start a relationship as a three.

Outside events rip them apart, and when they are finally reunited some months later, choices have to be made.

The way in which the feelings of the characters are explored and portrayed is a mature, considered one. It was not the salacious, cliched storyline that I expected. With plenty of twists and turns along the way, this is definitely a story worth reading.

A love triangle with an unexpected storyline was a storyline to cherish. I loved how Alice Ward really got the emotions going with this read. It is heartwarming and tissues will be needed. Journey has had a difficult first few years of her life. She and her Down syndrome sister, Jazzy were taken to live with her grandmother when Jazzy was just a baby. Her and her sister Jaz had a good life with Mee-maw. And since she passed, Journey is still caring for her sister. Journey was working towards becoming a physical therapist for seniors. She is an honest, sweet, strong person who stands up for what she believes in and takes wonderful care of her sister. Then there is the men-Grant and Nash who are both alpha millionaires. She meets each of them individually on the same day. She has this chemistry that sizzles with them both together and separately. Grant, Nash and Journey’s relationship is so hot. There is drama, angst, passion , intrigue and excitement. Grant is dark, brooding, and controlled while Nash is Mister Southern Charm. He like the ladies and loves to party. Yet when it comes to Journey both men find themselves falling for her. The book was surprising in many ways and there is a twist to this story that I didn’t expect. Will Journey chose Grant or will it be Nash? Or will she chose both men to pursue a relationship with ? Will there even get to be an HEA for Journey? This is a story that I definitely recommend.

This was an amazing read. I couldn't put it down. And for the first 20% of the book, I used up a lot of tissues, I was bawling my eyes out. I was a mess to look at. That's how much the story affected me.

This was a very well-written story and it kept my interest from cover to cover. I didn't want to know what was going on in the life around me, that's how good it was. We have three amazing main characters and a very fun supporting character - Jaz. I just loved her. I haven't ever communicated with someone with Down's but if this is how they are, they are absolutely lovable and adorable.

I love the way Journey sees life even after what she had to go through as a child. She is so honest and caring and it's hard to find people like that. Nash is fun loving and added so much joy to the story. I loved his mama's boy scenes.

Grant, oh Grant. With his tragic past, no wonder he doesn't let anyone come close. His was a journey we saw as the story progressed.

I can't forget the seniors. They were awesome. I laughed and laughed at their scenes.

The main characters had amazing chemistry and the story just flowed. At no point did it seem like anything was forced. It was the best way to spend a Saturday. It was a but longer than her usual long stories but so worth it. And happy ending for all characters, that's the best. It's a recommended read for sure.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.

New Experiences

A love triangle with an unexpected storyline that left me pleasantly surprised.

Journey has been helping to raise her sister since birth. A nightmare of a start in life ended up bringing her to her grandmother. Her and her sister Jaz had a good life with Mee-maw. And since she passed, Journey is still caring for her sister. She’s young, beautiful, witty, resilient and hard-working.

Grant comes in the picture when an accidental fire, at one of his buildings, occurs in Journey’s apartment. He’s gorgeous, aloof, hard-working and a good guy. The attraction between Journey and Grant is immediate and intense. But he’s leery of relationships and prefers to conduct them without feelings, more like business transactions.

That same day. Journey meets Nash. A southern gentleman with an engaging smile and enough charm to relieve you of your panties. He’s fun-loving, in it for a good time, no strings kind of guy.

Journey decides to live on the wild side a little and date both men while her sister goes away to camp for three weeks. No secrets, full disclosure. That is until the two guys meet...it’s about to get HOT!!!

This story was not at all what I expected. Jaz was awesome and hilarious as were the elderly people from Journey’s job! The relationships between both coupled were beautiful. A fun fling full of new experiences became life changing and two broken hearts found eachother and became whole.

There is Journey who had a difficult first few years of her life. She and her down syndrome sister, Jazzy were taken to live with her grandmother when Jazzy was just a baby. Her mother abandoned them. Journey's grandmother took great care of them in her studio in NYC and taught them to look at the positive in life. Journey was working towards becoming a physical therapist for seniors. She is a honest, nice, strong person who stands up for what she believes in and takes great care of her sister. Then there is Grant and Nash. Both alpha millionaires. She meets each of them individually on the same day. Will she be able to choose which one to be with? or will she go for a new experience and date both of them? Will their pasts come back and ruin everything or will their be a HEA? You'll need to read the book to find out. I really enjoyed this book. Great characters and emotions! Enjoy!!

This book is Alice Ward’s mic drop! Amazing writing with emotional insight and layers upon layers of depth. I am in love with these characters and this book. Once again Alice Ward addresses serious issues in a real yet not stuffy or purposely angsty way. Jazz is phenomenal and rocks who she is and show how really awesome an extra chromosome can be! Journey takes us on a journey for sure. Her positivity and outlook on life should be one seen more. She is amazing. Grant - just swoon. He’s the broken boy you want to fix but in the end needs to put his pieces back himself. Nash is lovable beyond lovable. His charismatic and generous heart are unrivaled. In the end life is life the book, it’s about your heart being cracked the same. As always the writing and editing are impeccable. I’d definitely recommend.

I requested and received an arc copy of this book and this is my voluntary, true, and honest opinion.

Another hit from Alice Ward! BUT, important trigger warning.

⭐WHAT DID I THINK? A-!👍🏽 (4/5 stars, rounding up to 5.)
I thought this was a really solid book overall. Plenty of steam, characters had interesting backstories and unique personalities, the plot was decent. There were some problematic spots, but they didn't like, ruin the story for me.
BUT! I will say right now, there's some heavy stuff that is woven through the story--if you are sensitive about certain subjects, I highly suggest you read the 🚩TRIGGER WARNING near the end of this review🚩 before you read this book.

⭐OVERVIEW
Journey👩‍⚕️💖 has a pretty normal life. She works, she's hoping to start school soon, she lives with her sister Jasmine👩‍🎨💖 who has Down Syndrome. This takes place in NYC, so even though she has a vocation, the sisters barely have enough money to get by.
Grant👨‍💼🖤 and Nash🤠🕹 are best friends, and of course they're both super rich💰 and super hot🔥. Each of them meets Journey separately, and she agrees to dates with both of them.
Journey👩‍⚕️💖 takes a bit of a sabbatical from her normal life while Jasmine👩‍🎨💖 is away at summer camp, so she tries to enjoy her time with each guy and not worry too much. They each treat her to new experiences🍾✈🏖️🍽 she'd never be able to afford herself💸, and of course there's great sexytimes, too.
For a long time she's dating them both separately, and while the guys know she's seeing another dude, none of the three of them realize her two beaus already know each other.
Eventually that comes to light. Drama ensues.🍿

⭐HIGHLIGHTS/WHAT DID I LIKE?👍🏽

🍆🍑Sexytimes🔥🔥🔥
- Journey has great chemistry with both Grant and Nash--in bed, and just personality-wise. There are plenty of steamy scenes of her with Grant, and of her with Nash.
- There are also some *really great* fantasy sequences. Journey has a very active🔥 imagination. I... don't exactly know *how* she does, considering her previous lack of interest, but... 🤷
- Grant and Nash have been friends💞 their entire adult lives. They have shared women before, and they clearly work in sync really well when they share. That definitely shows when we get to the MFM stuff.
- Honestly, the dirty stuff isn't all that adventurous? I mean, aside from the fact that, yes, there is MFM fun. It's not, like... ~*~kinky~*~, really.
- A+ for best practices in a particular scene! There's some backdoor play, and the guy leaves to wash his hands🙌 before moving on to other regions. Good work, guy! (/sexnerd🍆🤓)

✒️📖Writing✅
- 🎖Alice Ward isn't afraid to get in to some murky waters. Her characters often face hurtful, often traumatic, difficulties, and she doesn't shy away from that. Journey's abusive childhood is treated well. I really like how Ms.Ward deals with this sort of stuff.
- 💭POV: first-person, from all three main characters.
- 🗫I don't think the characters had very unique voices when compared to each other, but I'm not sure Ms. Ward wanted them to. There were definitely some intentional parallels in the characters' internal monologues, which illustrated how well-suited they were.
- I really liked the personal growth of all three characters over the course of the story.
- 👀📝Copyediting: Definitely some errata but nothing that detracted from readability.

⭐WHAT ABOUT THE PLOT? (Wait, do we even care?)
- (No, we really don't!) This is a great read and the plot is just the way to get to all the feels and sexytimes, and I am Totally. Okay. With. That.
- Most of the book takes place over ~3-4 weeks, and the lives that all three of them are living outside of the romantic/sexual stuff is honestly pretty mundane.
- Yes, all three of them have some life problems to deal with on their own. But none of them become a huge factor, at least not until the action near the end. This is primarily just a story about three people who connect with each other and have great chemistry but aren't sure how to proceed.
- Near the end, some Major Stuff goes down. That's the action/high tension/suspense, and it doesn't last too long (there's a bit of a time jump which helps with that). So you get in some high stakes drama but it doesn't pervade the story overall.

⭐ENDING? HEA 👪+💑+🙆‍♀️
- Journey and both men get their happy ending(s). I won't go in to how that goes down, but I will say that, as the title implies, there IS actually a choice between the two men. It's not how I expected a ménage book to end, but I was happy with the ending.
- I do wish we had more info on the Man Who Wasn't Chosen's HEA. It was zipped through really quickly, and it sort of felt like it was just there to appease the readers that, yeah, he's not permanently scarred by being rejected.
- Jasmine is HFN, possibly on her way to HEA.

⭐WHAT DIDN'T I LIKE?👎🏽
- Grant's backstory kind of reads like tragedy p-rn? IDK, it just didn't work for me. I bought his character as he is in the present, but the back story was just... His Tragic Past ™ involved one huge accident that seemed really over the top. At the same time, we get very little detail on how his life went in the years between said tragic event and when he meets Nash at school (either undergrad or grad school, it's slightly unclear which).

✊SJW🚩 time!
- There's some stuff regarding Grant's previous dalliances that's just... problematic AF. Liiiiike the actions taken by women scorned, which includes falsely accusing innocent men (🙅!!!!) of assault/coercion.
- Journey's apparent complete lack of interest in all things sexual until the day she meets Grant and Nash. Like she didn't even find pleasure on her own, like... ever? I wish she had at least understood the possibility of pleasure she could have, that she had some *interest* in finding it (whether on her own or with others), before meeting the guys. It just makes it seem as if these two have some sort of magical libido-curing attractiveness levels, rather than like, coaxing out a deeper layer of her sexuality that Journey didn't realize she had. I feel like that takes away some of her agency.😞
- When Journey's flirting with the men via text, one of them follows up a flirty-but-problematic statement to clarify his intent. Her reaction: "he was clearly making it known that I wouldn’t be forced into anything. I appreciated the gesture." 🤦‍♀️Oh word, that's a *kind gesture*? Is he doing you a favor by clarifying that he won't assault you??? 🙄C'mon now, y'all.
- There's a scene where Journey has just returned from a date with one of the men. She wants to fool around with him, but she also had a couple drinks, so he's a "gentleman" (decent human being) and says they can't. But then he's just ~so tempted~ by her that he just ~has~ to please her anyway. So he does, although he doesn't get his own release😬. Ummmmm 📣if the consent is dubious for one sexual act, it's equally dubious for any other act📣! This was really frustrating, it was close to getting consent right, but then completely loused it up. *👏🏽Assault 👏🏽doesn't 👏🏽stop 👏🏽being 👏🏽assault just because the perpetrator kept it in his pants!*

🤔Attention to detail (spots which were lacking in the attention to detail I'd expect from Ms. Ward)...
---At one point Journey asks for forgiveness in advance for "breaking the majority of the commandments this week." That seems highly improbable. Sinning a lot, sure, but... 6+ commandments🙄? That's just poor wording! I mean, really, Journey? Are you planning to do a lot of stealing, murdering, worshiping of idolatry, and coveting of others' belongings?
---Journey says she wants to travel and to see the seven wonders of the world. I mean, cute idea, but only one of them is still standing, so... 🤷
---The dialogues with Grant's two Irish staff members make them baaaasically sound like leprechauns🤨☘️.

⭐🚩POSSIBLE TRIGGERS🚩🙅🚨
- Creepy men being creeps, i.e. the world being the world (the two creeps in question manage Journey's apartment building--they live in her building and have keys to her apartment). This is like, a running theme in the book, it's not just in passing.
- Abusive/ableist language towards Journey's sister, who has Down Syndrome. Comes from one of the aforementioned creeps, although luckily only in one or two scenes.
- Terrible🗑 parents🚽 who come back to haunt you (incl. drug abuse, child abuse).
- Not necessarily *abuse* of the elderly, but serious neglect. Journey's got some righteous anger/sadness on their behalves, though.
- Gun violence (in like, two scenes?)
- A couple problematic points on consent (see SJW notes above). The part that bothers me is that I don't think Ms. Ward saw those things as problematic.
🚩ON CHILD ABUSE🚩
--- There are a handful of mentions of Journey having pictures and videos taken when she was young; not overly graphic but definitely upsetting.
--- An extended flashback in which we see how Journey was abandoned/endangered by her mother just after her little sister was born. First-person memories of how neglected, hungry, scared, etc. she was.
--- A few mentions of the fact that there were other kids who were victims to the same people, and probably much worse. No details are included but they do mention several different ways in which vulnerable children might be used by bad people.
--- Having said all that, I want to note that Alice Ward tends to do a really good job of treating really difficult, traumatic subjects with love, respect, and understanding--both for the characters who experience it, and for her reading audience. The first book of hers that I read dealt with a different type of family issue that hit really close to home for me. My experience wasn't nearly as bad as the character in that story, but I found it respectful, and detailed to a degree that it felt like she actually knew what she was talking about (not just throwing in some tragedy p-rn for the sake of the drama). I actually found it a bit cathartic to see the heroine in that story come to terms with her past and move on. Of course, I can't say that's how this book will read to any survivors, but that was my experience in a similar situation.

⭐FINAL VERDICT: A GREAT READ, FOR ALL WHO CAN READ IT.
Yes, there's a lot of Hard Stuff woven in to this tale. But in spite of that (or perhaps even a little bit because of it?), this is a solid romance novel. Ms. Ward does a good job with the love triangle, with Journey's backstory, and it's just all really good, like I've come to expect from her. If you can deal with the trigger-y stuff, go for it!

This book is done with a wonderful twist in pretty much everything. The Choice is brought in a way that Journey really does have a choice to make in her life and nobody is forcing anything on her. It is all about experiencing life.

Nash and Grant are best friends and have been since college. They have always been friends and nothing has gotten between them before not even women. Nash is a wonderfully fun guy and doesn't take life very seriously. Where Grant takes life much too seriously and needs Nash to sometimes help him unwind.

When both men meet Journey on the same day (neither of them knows this) they find a woman that matches each other their personalities perfectly. Both men know that Journey is seeing another man but neither make her stop or change her mind. They each give her the space that she needs and enjoys her while they have her. Until finally Grant asks her to meet his best friend and in walks Nash.

I loved this story. This is an MFM at some point but that is not the main event in this book. This is a wonderful story of three people finding love at different levels with each other but not having to force anyone to force their hand. Yes at some point they have to make a decision of what they will do, but they act like adults in this book and I love that. This is a wonderful story and should be read. Alice did a wonderful job with this story and I hope she comes out with more MFM books. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

Wow, Amazing!! A Fantastic and Exceptional Book! This book is well written, quite the page turner, and I was hooked from the beginning that I had to read it in one sitting – I could not stop. The characters are deep, funny and well developed. I love Grant, Nash and Journey’s relationship but I was secretly rooting for Grant. The sex is explosive and the emotions felt when reading this story gripped my heart. There is drama, intrigue and excitement. The author included a twist about two thirds into the story that I was not expecting, but it made the book so much more exciting. It also cleared up some questions that arouse from certain scenes in the story. The book ended beautifully. Once again Alice Ward has out done herself! This book is a must read and is one that will also be kept in my personal library so that I read it over and over again. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

The Choice by Alice Ward a five-star read that will leave you stumped. This may just be my favourite Alice Ward story, as an author she always delivers but this time she has produced magic. I physically couldn’t put this down, Journey Walker is a great character and you will warm to her, the boys are so different it creates a real complex drama. Can they pull her out of the shell she lives in? What a story, there is a complex family drama as well that plays out pulling you deeper. Overall a story that I know will stay with me for a long time.

Life and love don't always play out the way you expect or even want. It's the choices we make that determines the path we follow. Journey's current path is tiring, long, a little lonely, but a lot happy. She has the love of the senior citizens she works with and her Down Syndrome sister, Jasmine. Sure, she could use some lovin', but she's a bit too busy to invest time and effort into a relationship. Until she meets two very different men who offer her intriguing, exciting, and sensual adventure and experiences. So maybe she can indulge for a little while. A little indulgence never hurt anyone, right?

Grant is dark, brooding, formidable, and controlled. His life hasn't been one filled with roses and sunshine. He's made his life and his money and is satisfied with where everything is headed. And then he interrupts one of his building managers berating and verbally abusing one of the loveliest creatures he's ever seen. She and her sister fascinate him, draw him in, and give him a taste of things missing from his life.

Nash is the life of the party. He has southern charm in spades and is captivated by an electric blue set of legs chasing after a purse snatcher. With one meeting he's hooked. He'd like nothing better than to get to know the spitfire both in and out of the sheets.

There is an vivid draw between Journey and each of these men. But I have to say that the outcome was a bit expected. Meaning I could definitely predict who she'd end up with because it's the same in any manga and anime I've ever seen. The predictability of the who didn't actually bother me, though, because the whole story was written so well. The chemistry between each pair was palpable and intense. While I was secretly rooting for one guy I was then drawn in by the other and hoped I'd be wrong. But since I was a fan of both guys I wasn't disappointed when I predicted correctly.

While sharing sex with more than one person, whether at a time or at the same time, seems great in my fantasyland, the reality for me is that I'm just not made like that. So usually I have trouble reading romances with extra company in bed, but this was done well with Journey getting to know Grant and Nash but not always at the same time. In fact, the threesome parts didn't happen until closer to the end so we got to see her developing a relationship with the men as individuals. It ultimately made the reveal more devastating to her, but what it allowed everyone to do was develop something individual, unique, and it created a foundation for the three of them that allowed for the ending to work so well. The sex was intimate when one-on-one and then when it was all three it was deeper and freeing for Journey.

The drama was absolutely unexpected. I knew there would be a money misunderstanding or an eavesdropping situation but what I was surprised by is what Journey found when she got home after the mostly-expected catalyst of the relationship-ending discovery was made. I don't think I could have anticipated what happened when she got back to her apartment. High drama to say the least!

After that played out, though, watching Grant through Nash's descriptions and when they found her months later...happily awkward, surprising, sappy, and a whole lot tender. I really enjoyed the reunion between all of them. The very ending with the extremely truncated Nash bit was happy and full-circle for him. Let's hope for a bonus chapter or story, yeah?

The book was surprising in many ways, a pleasant surprise. Journey, Grant, and Nash together were hot, yes, but the affection between all of them was the best part. There was exploration, self-acceptance, growth, passion, and a whole lot of love.

3.5 rounded up, ARC willingly read and reviewed.

Addictive

What are the chances of two best friends dating the same woman both are crazy about? They never realize they are in a love triangle until later.

Ms. Ward delivers her story about a threesome and makes it her own with her signature style. An unconventional plot that is unique, sweet, sexy, funny, emotional, romantic with a bit of suspense thrown in. By the second chapter I knew it would be a winner. With two gorgeous, rich men so different from one another yet they are the best of friends since college, Grant Sommerfield and Nash Levington meet Journey Walker the same week under different circumstances. Journey is attracted to both and agrees to date telling each that she is also dating another man. She is unaware Grant and Nash know each other. It’s complicated but so much pleasure to read.

Journey Walker has a sordid childhood she’d rather forget. She has a heavy responsibility to her younger sister, Jazzy. I loved big-hearted Jazzy. She is definitely the sunshine in this story with her personality and brand of humor. I admired Journey as a strong heroine. She is caring, thoughtful and resilient, and stood up for Jazzy and herself. But Journey’s past comes roaring back into her life and threatens to disrupt Journey and Jazzy’s life. What a twist that had me turning the pages.

The Choice is a romantic read that is addictive. There is an instant attraction and lots of sizzling chemistry between Grant, Journey, and Nash. But it’s the connection between Grant and Journey that is quite emotional, two broken souls who find familiar ground and understanding.

“ I don’t know. Maybe both our hearts are cracked in the same place.”

Ms. Ward gives us a well-written story that is perfect blend of story and sensual scenes. I was pleasantly surprised by the ending and loved the satisfying epilogue. Wonderful job, Ms. Ward. I loved, loved this story. I received and voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Rating this book was a hard choice!

I loved this book and I hated this book. I give the majority of this book 4 stars... the end of this book get 2 or 3 stars. I very very rarely will say anything bad about a book because I know authors put a lot of work into writing these books. Usually I just don't review them, but this book has a lot of good to it, so I have to say that.
I really liked the story, it's a story not written often. Female lead ends up dating two different guys. The guys know she is dating someone besides them but obviously they don't know who. What the male characters don't know is that she is dating his best friend. That's the more unique part, that it's two best friends dating the same girl but don't know it.
The story line is great. The whole thing is interesting and keeps you hooked. You fall in love with both men and want them to all be together.. the fit together to make the perfect relationship. NOW, if I would have thought about the title, "The Choice", I should have known I was not going to get the happy ending I thought it should be. Nope, a choice had to be made, she only got one guy.. not the perfect two. So now is where the story goes down hill for me, but that's really just a personal opinion and doesn't deserve to get lower stars just cuz I don't like the ending. But, the author throws in thee quickest ending for the other man who was not chosen. It was like an ' oh crap I forgot to write an ending for so and so... here is three sentences giving him his happy ending.' I don't know if it was thrown in there to give a heads up for another book or what, but it was so crappy and kinda didn't make sense. That really is the only part I think should really be rewritten, I'm ok with not getting my HEA at least the characters did.
I don't regret reading this book... it's a good story, I really liked it, that's why it got 4 stars, just keep the title in mind when reading... choices are made!

When so much romance stories are simply about the feelings or some about the sex, (and some with bad style) I love Alice Ward books because each book is just…. more. More great characters with tempers, more societal topics, great more hot sex scenes with deep feelings to go there, twists. For a menage story, this one is well construct, well written, with the characters scars. You only can have empathy for them, feel what they feel.
Journey is a strong woman that her mother exploited with videos and photos when she was 6. She takes care of her sister after the death of their grandmother who had their custody in New York. Her sister, Jasmine, is a challenge deficient woman, so Journey needs to work 2 Jobs just to stay in the little studio. When she comes back after her work to her appartement, she find a fire in the kitchen. She’s saved by the manager building’s son but he's also a sort of pervet or manipulator, like his father. This one arrives and tries to evict the sisters. They’re saved by the real landlord, Brant. They’re attracted to each other and he tries to do whatever he can to help her, even if he’s usually an *sshole towards women. He’s a billionaire coming from nothing. He went though foster system until he meets Nash’s mother. Nash became his best friend. He’s a rich man but his grandfather can’t stand that his son married a singer, even if they’re still together. So Nash has to leave his appartement and goes live with Brant. But during the same evening of the fire, he meets Journey and falls for her too.
Brant and Nash don’t know they’re attracted to the same woman, and Journey doesn’t know what to do, because she likes the two men.
It’s hard to not say more about this story, except that when you start reading, you just want to know what will happen next.

I have to say...holy smokes...wow...YES...what an amazing read. It was sooooooo GREAT that even though I received an advanced copy, I HAD to buy it !!
Where to begin...Journey is a smart, compassionate woman who has been raising her Down Syndrome sister, Jaz, with her grandmother who has since passed away. She meets Grant when he steps in and helps her with her rotten landlord and his son. She also meets Nash the same day when he helps her nab a purse snatcher who stole from one of the old ladies in her yoga class. The attraction is immediate between Grant and Journey but also with Nash and Journey. She finally has a chance to live to her fullest when Jaz is away for three weeks at camp, and lives she does with both men. But what happens when the three weeks is up ? What happens when all three come face to face ? What happens when her past catches up to her ?
Holy smokes what a read, what a plot, what amazing characters, and the steamy scenes....HELLOOOOOO. I was worried at first because it did have the element of cheating to some, even me, but the author did an amazing job that I did not look at it in those terms, it was what the author was trying to convey....a woman living life to fullest while she can. Not only that but the honesty between her and the two men and how their “relationships” were defined took all those doubts from my mind.
What you get is a beautiful, heartfelt, at times heartbreaking and tearful story especially when Grant and Journey’s past is revealed but what you are left with is a happy happy happy ending that it even brought more tears to my eyes. What Alice Ward did at the end of the book with one of the characters was the clincher and perfect and I mean PERFECT ending to an 10 ++++ star read.

The Choice... Who makes the decision? Can you?

OMG! Alice Ward does it again. Ms. Ward certainly has another wonderful release in “The Choice”. This story captures your imagination from the beginning & keeps it going right on through to the end. I was so wrapped up in the story, unable to put the book aside that I completed it in one sitting. I loved this story so much so that, I would recommend that you “one-click” Alice’s new release & start enjoying the story.

Journey has had a rough start in life. On top of being used & abused as a “kiddie porn star” by her junkie Mother, Journey’s always taken care of her sister Jasmine, who has Down Syndrome. Grant lost his family in a tragic boating accident & since then he’s been avoiding personal contact. Only his best buddie Nash has full access. Unbelievably, the three meet in varying situations, all on the same day but separately. Things heat up when they become aware that they’re seeing the same woman. So, with Jazz away at camp, Journey has three weeks with her two hunks to decide who she wants to date. Journey likes & wants both men. Grant & Nash want Journey.

So, can Journey, Nash & Grant make their relationship work? Are Nash & Grant capable of sharing Journey? Is there any possible way the three can move forward? What’s going to happen when Jazz comes back? Is there any chance of a happily ever after for them? So, be prepared to “one-click” this new release, you definitely will not regret it...

I received an Advance Reader Copy (Arc) of this new release & am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Beautifully Written, Incredible Dilemma – Amazing Read!!!

Journey is the ultimate heroine. With a less than useless mother, Journey’s Mee-maw raised her and her sister Jasmine (Jaz). Since her Mee-maw passed away, Journey has struggled to care for her sister who has special needs; holding down two jobs, and postponing her degree.

An issue at the sister’s apartment happens just as the owner is there for a meeting. The owner Grant is handsome and smitten with Journey and goes above and beyond to remedy their situation. Grant usually enters into a contract with those he dates, but breaks a few of his own rules for Journey.

The same afternoon Journey is teaching yoga to a senior class, when a hoodlum steals the purse of one of her ladies. She sprints to catch him, but jogger Nash also sees and ultimately catches the thief.

Journey never gets time for herself, but as her sister is going to camp for three weeks, she uses this time to date each of her saviors. Each man has his own baggage to deal with, but each date brings each couple closer. We know Grant and Nash are best friends, but it takes a while for this to be revealed in the book.

Extravagant dates, building relationships, humor and learning what makes each character tick all combine together to create an incredible story. Truly an incredible and enjoyable read.

This book was so good and I feel it is Alice's best book so far. Journey and Jasmine had a rough time growing up until they were sneezing to live with the Memaw. Journey is taking care of her sister while working and saving up so she can start more schooling in the fall. When there is an emergency at her apartment she ends up meeting Grant. Later that day she meets Nash when a thief friends to steal a purse and he helps her capture him. She starts dating then both and is up front with it. Both men are okay with it as long as she is honest and promises to tell the other if one gets more serious. There is only a thing of the. Being best friends. They know about each other, but don't know about each other. They each care about Journey and when it's found out who's who, they decide to take her on a journey with all three. It's not just about sex with them, there are real feelings they have for each other. It was great seeing two men who don't do relationships, or love, learn to care about someone so much. How Alice wrote Jazzy was perfect. She wrote a strong, smart, funny girl who just stole my heart. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. This book made me laugh, cry and internally yell at my kindle. This is a must read, you won't regret it.

Hotness alert! Journey is a hard working PT assistant trying to make a life for herself and her sister. Things have been tough since their grandmother passed, but a chance meeting with two smoking hot men on the same day will turn her world upside down! Journey never makes time for herself, but when best friends Grant and Nash each come to her aide - at different times - they ask for just one date. She decides to do something for just her and agrees to both. While her sister is away aw camp for three weeks things heat up! The three have things in their pasts they are trying to hide, and deal with. When the guys realize they have been dating the same girls things really heat up for Journey!! Their tale is full of pain, secrets, but also joy, hope and plenty of steam! Will Journey be able to forgive them when a misunderstanding gets out of hand and danger comes knocking at Journey's door? You'll just have to read it. I think you will love it as much as I did!

This was a wonderful book by Alice Ward! This was the story of Journey, Grant and Nash. Journey is a independent woman who takes care of her and her sister Jazzy who has Down syndrome after her Mee Maw passed. Grant is a billionaire who started out with nothing after a family tragedy but keeps closed off to ever woman he meets. Nash is Grants best friend and has been forever he enjoys life as it comes and keeps Grant from shutting out the world completely.

When Journey comes into their lives the same day it changes everything for all of them. Neither guys know they met her just that they met someone they want to get to know more about she seems special and unlike anyone they’ve met before. However as they all grow closer to one another one thing is clear Journey has a choice to make.

Well written and great flow, storyline keeps you wanting more and wanting to see what will happen. Overall highly recommend to others.

This is a very fun and steamy read. Very well written and featuring a engaging storyline. The Choice is a read that sucks you in and doesn't let go. A highly entertaining book that gives us the story of Journey, Grant and Nash. Journey is such a powerful character. She is strong, smart, capable, loving and devoted to her sister, Jaz. Grant is shut-off and serious and his past will break your heart. Nash is the polar opposite to Grant. He is full of light and fun and lives for good times. The great chemistry between the characters sizzles. Book also has a lot of emotional depth and will move you emotionally as you peel away the layers to this characters and really get to know them. A wonderful and enjoyable read. I'm posting an honest, voluntary review after reading an advance copy of this book.

What a wonderful story! Journey, Jaz, Grant & Nash, Jaz is Journey's sister & she has down syndrome & she set their apartment on fire with the microwave before Journey got home from work. Grant is the building owner & see the fire engine outside so stops to investigate. That is how they meet. He put s them up in a hotel, so he can get their apartment done up. They pack up their stuff ready to take to the hotel after Journey had finished her next job in the park.
Why they are at the park, Nash see Journey on his run & ends up watching her teach yoga to the old folks, when a bag thief Snatch's one of the women's purses, Journey runs after him & Nash follows. They catch the thief together & Nash introduces him self to Journey!
This all happens at the start of the book & it gets better & better, as the story unfolds. It full of laughs, crying, action, romance & family!

Well, that was a welcomed surprise!
I have been straying from the menage stories, just because I feel like they have become repetitive and while I am all for some sexy fantasies in my reality- some of those stories get a little far-fetched even for me!
Alice Ward was able to take the fantasy of it all mix in some harsh realities and gives us a beautifully imperfect romance between three opposites that helped them all at different points in there lives!
This sexy times three storyline with its humorous quips heart squeezing twists and stomach plunging turns I could feel that the author has written with great compassion, precision, and depth for the characters and places and things I had a hard time putting this one down!
My new favorite book by Ms. Ward. One I cannot wait to read again!
P.S Jazzy, Nash & Wayne LOVED THEM!

Hearts and souls are the first words that came to mind when it came time to review this book. Yes, there are raw emotions and many small threads throughout but, in the end, all the threads are masterfully brought together into a tapestry of love. I loved the way the author presented the sister, Jaz. What a great character, nothing is ever going to limit that young woman. I experienced so many feelings while reading this story, from laughter to tears and lots of those in between. Yes, the men were HOT and the sex steamy but there was sooo much more here than just that. Great character depth and growth and baggage/damage from the past are just a few of the many horrible things this group has to cope with. It is difficult to explain without spoilers and I do not want to ruin the experience of reading this for anyone. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

Yes, I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review but I am also buying a copy, it was that good!

Grant, Nash, and Journey - wow what a threesome! Journey has so many responsibilities for how young she is and when her sister goes off to camp for 3 weeks, Journey decides to expand her horizons and enjoy herself. She meets Grant and Nash on the same day but never realizes that they know each other as well. And so Journey begins dating both men but of course, in a surprise reveal, they all discover they all know each other. Each one wants to step back so as to not disturb the relationship of the other two. But very quickly it's realized that only 2 members of this threesome love each other. Is it Grant and journey or Nash and Journey or maybe it's Grant and Nash?? And lo and behold, we add in a new member to this conundrum.

Grab your copy today!! It's so worth it!!

Wow!!! Ms Ward does it again, this book is about finding yourself, letting go, moving forward and holding on. This is one book that will pull at your heartstrings, surprise you, accelerate your heartrate, and leaving you feeling wonderful. Journey, Jaz, Grant and Nash will pull you in, teach you about strength and perseverance, and take you on a journey as wonderful as the characters themselves. You couldn't ask for a better book even if you think ménage isn't your style this is one book that is so well written and emotionally charged that you will be missing out big time if you don't get it. I am so glad I had the opportunity to read it and if I could I would give it another 5 stars. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.

“The Choice” by Alice Ward is a sizzling hot book. Journey, Grant and Nash all have terrific chemistry and a sizzling hot romance. I enjoyed every character in this book and not just the main characters. Alice Ward was able to make each character no matter how minor of a role come alive and I fell in love with all of them. There is romance and excitement throughout the book. It starts off and grabs you from the very first chapter. This book is well written and the characters are very well developed. I loved this book so much I wanted it to go on for another 200 pages it was that good. If you read this book you won’t be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
