Omg my heart 😭

Aside from being a great fantasy story and having what may be one of my favourite romances of all time (and I do not say that lightly), this whole book is a great takedown of mob mentality and how harmful it is to assume that your worldview is the only correct one, dismissing those who agree with you and treating them as less than human. A very relevant topic in this day and age, for sure.

I often dislike when blatant references to current day politics leak into my fun fantasy stories, so when it is done well, it is all the more impressive. I felt that there was nothing cringeworthy or anvilicious about the way the plot is presented here. All references feel natural, like they are genuinely supposed to be part of the story, rather than feeling as though they were either shoehorned in there or that this is just a contemporary story with a coat of fantasy paint. (Ahem.)

While this volume was quite heavy and very much plot focused, with some huge reveals coming out, there were also a satisfying number of cute romantic scenes! I already can't wait for the relationship to finally get off the ground after all this time 🤭

Hoooooooly crap. The original deaths of Wen Chao and Jiao Jiao were so much more disturbing here! Wei Wuxian in Yiling Patriarch mode was just generally more awesome in the novel, it really sucks that in a story that centers around grey morality, they had to change stuff to make the designated hero less morally grey and more obviously 'good', quite ironic really.

I already absolutely loved that scene with Wei Wuxian riding the donkey alongside his hubby while playing WangXian in the drama but I had no idea that the novel version would be 10000x more adorable with him reminiscing about his parents and imagining being a family with Lan Zhan, it really warmed my cold dead heart 😭

Speaking of cute scenes that were sadly cut out of the drama, as much as I appreciated the Lan Er-Gege~ scene at the farmhouse, I was disappointed that Mian Mian wasn't the owner of the house like she was in the drama, I wanted to see her again!

It's unfortunate that the drama clearly had a limited budget when it came to CG and the battle scenes in general, the second siege of the Burial Mounds was way more epic in the novel, and just felt more satisfying overall giving the Wen remnants one last hurrah was so awesome, I really wish that the drama had at least attempted to adapt that scene, even if it looked really bad I would have liked to have seen it anyway. I mean all the battle scenes looked pretty awful anyway, how much worse could it have been? 😅

I can't believe we're so close to the end but there's still a whole volume left! Going by the drama, all that's left is the final confrontation and then the epilogue which was covered over only 5 episodes, that's a lot of cut content that I'm finally going to get to see! 👀

A démoni kultiváló nagymestere szabadszellemű, vidám, huncutságra kapható lélek, tökéletes kontrasztot alkot a szabálykövető, becsületes, tiszta jellemű jádeszoborral - erre különben az előbbinek van is egy elmélete -, jin és jang, ha úgy tetszik, ez pedig tökéletesen működött.

Я в шоке. Я практически рыдала на этом томе. Несколько раз. Какой же он сильный и болезненный, божечки... Ввязалась в китайские фэнтези-новеллы, думая, что будет весело. А тут стекло.

Но стекло качественное! Почему-то я даже удивлена. Хорошенько пробрало. Вэй Ин - моя бедная и несчастная любовь. Лучший мальчик в мире... Никому не позволю его обижать. Надеюсь, четвертый том станет для него счастливым.

La verdad es que me da un tanto de flojera hacer esta reseña. La historia como siempre fue excelente y fue el arco principal de la cual estaba esperando durante mucho tiempo, pero son tanto datos y cosas que comentar que creo que no tendré vida para realizar toda la reseña en un solo día.
Uno de los momentos que más adoré de la historia desde que comencé a entrar a este género, fue cuando Wei Ying llego al punto donde es odiado y rechazado. En el live action fue tan fuerte que incluso yo misma quería acabar con cada persona que lo juzgaba y señalaba. Era tan injusto y del mismo modo, molesto y agotador.

VENENO
La caída del Embarcadero de Loto
Aún recuerdo las primeras escenas animadas y el live action, la tensión se sentía en cada instante. Se decía que si no fuera porque Wei Ying salvo a Lan Zhan y hacerse el héroe en la Cueva Xuanwu, revelándose al clan Wen, jamás habría pasado ello. El tío de Wei Ying era un hombre tan generoso que lo acogió desde niño y por ello siempre le estuvo agradecido, y Mandam Yu a pesar de todo, si apreciaba a Wei Ying, encargándole velar por su familia en sus últimos minutos. Es demasiado doloroso la despedida de madre e hijo, y la desesperación de Jiang Cheng por no poder hacer nada para ayudar.


—¡Wei Ying! ¡Escúchame! ¡Protege a Jiang Cheng! ¡Protégelo aún si mueres! ¡¿Entendiste?!



El núcleo de Jiang Cheng
Luego de la caída de la secta Jiang, Jiang Cheng y Wei Ying intentan esconderse para no ser encontrados por la secta Wen. Jiang Cheng llega a un punto donde enloquece por la muerte de sus padres, culpando a Wei Ying por su complejo de héroe y acabo con su familia. A pesar de los continuos reclamos y las lágrimas de su hermano, Wei Ying se contiene y lo escucha.
—¡¿Por qué salvaste a Lan WangJi?! ¡¿Por qué tuviste que abrir la boca?! ¡Cuántas veces te he dicho que no causes problemas! ¡Que no golpees! ¡¿Tanto quieres jugar a ser el héroe?! ¡¿Has visto lo que ocurre cuando juegas a ser el héroe?! ¡¿Huh?! ¡¿Estás feliz ahora?!
En este punto sentí su dolor y la frustración que contenía por dentro, después de todo, en el fondo Jiang Cheng sabía que aun si Wei Ying no hacía nada, la secta Wen los habría atacado.

La desesperación de Jiang Cheng es tan grande que incluso, en el momento que en Wei Ying busca comida para ambos, este se retira y desaparece. Para después saber que perdió su núcleo dorado. Jiang Cheng siempre fue competitivo, terminar de ese modo y sin lo que amaba y protegía, fue lo último que le pudo pasar.
Los que han leído la obra completa antes o al menos saben que va pasar en adelante, debo decir que esto fue más duro para Wei Ying, ya que con valor tuvo que apoyar a su hermano y convencerlo de levantarse con la excusa de reparar su núcleo, lo cual es imposible.


Wei Ying en los Túmulos Funerarios
Con un Wei Ying sin fuerzas, es el perfecto momento donde la secta Wen puede acabar con él y vengarse por lo que paso en la Cueva Xuanwu y el embarcadero de Loto. Wei Ying es lanzado a los Túmulos Funerarios, donde no sabe nada de él por 3 meses. Mientras es consumido por los espíritus negativos y la energía maligna del lugar. Este es el comienzo de su cultivo demoniaco y el verdadero poder que lo hará enemigo del mundo.


MALDAD
Creo que voy a llorar ahora, tal solo recordar esta parte. Wei Ying, regresa. Si, regresa y con mas poder del que nunca nadie imagino. Con una cultivación demoniaca comienza a eliminar a los miembros del Clan Wen uno a uno, de diferentes formas y de la manera mas tortuosa. Han pasado 3 meses y mientras Lan Zhan y Jiang Cheng se unen para buscar a Wei Ying, se enteran que fue lanzado a los Túmulos Funerarios y es posible que este muerto, con todo eso en su mente, no saben lo que les espera mientras siguen a Wen Chao.
Ya dicen que la venganza es un plato que se sirve frio. Por fin se hace justicia y la tortura mental que le aplican a Wen Chao es sublime. XD.

Pero lo que mas duele es la separación de Lan Zhan y Wei Ying con esas palabras hermosas de "Ven a Gusu conmigo" en todas las adaptaciones y la novela, sentí que mi corazón se detenía y comenzaría a llorar. Es tan impactante, después de todo lo que paso Lan Zhan y el solo quiere ayudar a Wei Ying.

TERNURA
Nuestra pareja regresando a casa 😍
WangJi estaba sentado al lado de Wei WuXian. Al ver que quedó inmóvil de nuevo, iba a levantarse cuando Wei WuXian lo agarró con su otra mano, abrazó su brazo y se rehusó a dejarlo ir. Gritó —¡Me iré contigo, rápido, llévame a tu secta!
(Grito interno de loca enamorada)
Regresamos al presente donde Wei Ying y Lan Zhan escapan y llegan a la Profundidad de las nubes, siendo cubiertos por Lan Xichen (Un hermano como este, son pocos). Wei Ying descubre que en verdad que Suibian esta sellado. Son tal lindos, estos chicos.


El pasado de Lan Zhan
Ay mi corazón😫😭 Lan Zhan desde pequeño siempre fue de personalidad callada, pero amaba bastante a su madre, que incluso no pudo soportar su partida.
Hace un tiempo escuche sobre esto. Resulta que hay un comentario en redes diciendo que Lan Zhan se enamoro de Wei Ying porque le recordaba a su madre. La cual lo molestaba siempre, pero nunca decía todo lo que pasaba.
—Cada vez que WangJi y yo íbamos a verla, ella nunca se quejó de lo tedioso que era estar encerrada aquí dentro, incapaz de dar un paso fuera. Tampoco, nunca preguntó sobre nuestros estudios. Le gustaba especialmente molestar a WangJi, pero, mientras más molestas a WangJi, más reacio es a hablar y peor es la expresión que pone. Siempre ha sido así desde pequeño. A pesar de que WangJi nunca lo dijo, yo sabía que todos los meses él ansiaba que llegara el día en donde podíamos ver a nuestra Madre. Él era así, y yo era igual.

Rescate a los Juniors
Cuando comencé a leer esta parte, sentí claramente la confusión de Jin Ling y su posible arrepentimiento por dañar a Wei Ying. Después de todo acaba de descubrir que el fue el hermano menor de su madre y no puede ni acercarse a él, debido a su trauma y perdida de sus padres.

PARTIDA
Cacería de los clanes superiores luego de la derrota del Clan Wen
La reunión de las sectas para un nuevo asedio, hace que los recuerdos de Wei Ying retornen a esa época, donde fue odiado y de nuevo se repite la historia. Con tristeza, acepta y recibe sus comentarios, hasta que esos momentos regresan a su mente.
Wei Yin ha dejado por completo su espada y su carácter ahora es un tanto raro, pero sin perder su alegría y broma, que incluso duele. Lan Zhan trata de acercarse a él, pero no puede. Este suceso, es como si los papeles se intercambiaran regresando a la época de su juventud, cuando él fue el primero en rechazarlo.
Se inicia la cacería nocturna, donde claro Wei Ying demuestra sus habilidades, siendo rechazado por completo. Debo decir que la secta Jin, es realmente detestable y muy envidiosa, excluyendo a Jin Ling. No me agrada ningún personaje.

La mejor escena de este arco es Los Tres hermanos de niños, después de tanto tiempo se conocen y comienzan a unirse.

Wei Ying hablando de sus sentimientos
Luego vemos sobre una pequeña confesión de Wei Ying. Al parecer esta comenzando a notar sus propios sentimientos y no es tan ciego 🥺.
—Shijie, quisiera hacerte una pregunta... ¿Por qué a alguien le gustaría otra persona? Quiero decir, ese tipo de gustar
Jiang YanLi pausó por un momento—¿Por qué me estás preguntando sobre esto? ¿Te gusta alguien? ¿Qué tipo de señorita es?
—No. No me va a gustar nadie. Al menos, no demasiado ¿Acaso no sería lo mismo que ponerme una soga en el cuello?

IMPRUDENCIA
"Xiongzhang, quiero llevar a una persona de regreso a La Profundidad de las Nubes. Llevarla... y esconderla en algún lugar"

El mundo de la cultivación comienza a sentir que Wei Ying es una amenaza, donde Lan Zhan no es el único que se da cuenta y trata de alejarlo del peligro. Wei Ying intentara salvar a los Wen, sin importar abandonar todo lo que tiene por proteger lo que para él es correcto. Incluso su propio hermano, Jiang Cheng, quien es rodeado por las críticas y exigiéndole una explicación, intentara ayudarlo, dando inicio una batalla donde Wei Ying es oficialmente expulsado de la secta Jiang.


DISTANCIA
Reencuentro con Lan Zhan
Como decir que esta parte fue hermosa y además tierna. A-Yuan llamando papá a Lan Zhan es todo un clásico que nunca aburre, más bien enternece más el corazón. Me encanta que la familia se reencuentre, conociendo el final del libro, tanto Lan Zhan, Wei Ying y A-Yuan son los mejores de toda la historia. A-Yuan fue el eje que unió a Lan Zhan y Wei Ying, y permitió que en adelante tuvieran un vínculo.


Los Tres Hermanos
Después de que Wei Ying y Jiang Cheng crearan la expulsión de la Wei Wuxian de la secta Jiang, verlos a los tres, demuestra que, a pesar de las críticas y la larga distancia, todavía son hermanos. Jiang Yanli es un personaje especial de un corazón bondadoso, incapaz de menospreciara incluso a los Wen, ofrecerle a Wen Ning un plato de sopa demuestra su corazón gentil.

ANOCHECER
La emboscada a Wei Wuxian
Bueno vamos a entrar a una de las partes más decisivas de la historia en sí: La Batalla en la Ciudad Sin Noche o mejor dicho la batalla de Wei Ying contra todas las sectas cultivadoras. Después de la muerte de Jin Zixuan en una cruel emboscada para matar a Wei Ying, Wen Ning pierde el control por completo escuchando los pensamientos y deseos más profundos de Wei Wuxian. Imagino que en ese momento pensó en el pavo real y el odio que le tenía, después de todo siempre le pareció molesto y poco acto para su hermana. La cuestión es que Wei Ning termina por matarlo con una mano atravesando su pecho. Una escena realmente impactante y recordatoria de por vida en el futuro de Wei Ying como un gran trauma que lo seguirá, debido a que prácticamente dejo viuda a su hermana y huérfano a su sobrino.
—¿Alguien podría decirme... qué se supone que debo hacer ahora?


La muerte de Jiang Yanli
Después de que los Wen deciden entregarse por voluntad y enfrentarse a ese destino que estaba planificado para ellos desde un inicio, Wei Ying no puede hacer nada para detenerlos. Luego de salir del control de Wen Quin este se enfrenta a la verdad de los hechos: Todos los Wen están muertos.
Me encanto esta parte, donde Wei Ying va con todo y en la puerta principal se enfrenta a las sectas menores, como diciendo “Si están hablando de mí, entonces dejen que les demuestro lo que valgo”, ¡Es sus caras, sectas menores! Un Wei Ying poderoso está a punto de acabar con todos.
Pero en medio de la lucha, aparece Jiang Yanli llamando a su hermano menor, justo siendo asesinada en frente de Wei Ying. ¿En Serio? Ya paso por mucho y ahora asesinan a la única persona que siempre lo apoyo. ¿Se imaginan el impacto que tuvo?

—¡¿Qué acaba de pasar?! ¡¿No dijiste que podías controlarlo?! ¡¿No dijiste que todo iba a estar bien?!
—No puedo controlarlo. Simplemente, no puedo hacerlo


La locura de Wei Wuxian
Todo termina en una completa locura por parte de Wei Wuxian, incluso sin que nadie pueda detenerlo. Deja el Amuleto del Tigre Estigio para que todos luchen por obtenerlo, mientras muere consumido por los cadáveres que una vez controlo.

En la serie Live Action se dice que se lanzó de un acantilado debido del dolor que cargaba. Aunque en el libro no colocan la despedida de Wei Ying y Lan Zhan, con el último ataque de Jiang Cheng. Sin duda esto fue realmente impactante. Se siente el dolor de la escena y los sentimientos de los personajes.


Sin duda este fue el mejor libro. Ame todo y me emociono con todo. Sigo sufriendo todavía por las mayoria de las escenas. Pobre de mi Wei Ying.

Un véritable coup de cœur, un vrai plaisir de plonger dans le passé et d'avoir enfin une explication sur le clan Wen.

Transportée par l'histoire de nos deux héros, qui s'attire (in)volontairement depuis de nombreuses années.

Bonus : la scène de l'arbre et son illustration sublime (comme toutes les autres, d'ailleurs)

Je n'ai jamais lu un slow burn aussi frustrant, quelle qualité !

П вэй у сянь и цзянь чэн сбежали с пристани лотоса, цзян чэн потерял свою ��уховную силу от удара сжигающего ядра. вэй ин отправил его на гору к целительнице, цзян чэн восстановил золотое ядро. в это время вэнь чжао сбросил вэй усяня в глубину тёмной горы и лин. он врнулся оттуда изменившимся (в это время уже прошла аннигиляцмя солнца, с кланом вэнь было почти покончено), они с цзян чэном очень жестоко убили вэнь чжао, лань чжань в шоке. он просил вэй усяня пойти с ним, но тот решил, что лань чжань хочет его наказать, и нахамил. ребята отомстили

Н цзинь гуань яо подставил ребят и теперь все знают, что вэй ин вернулся. лань си чэнь разочарован в цзинь гуань яо, пытается все лично проверить.
ребята опять попали в неловкую ситуацию, когда им пришлось прятаться в обнимку. вэй ина уже все время несёт, он постоянно чувствует любовь. лань чжань, очевидно, тоже (очевидно мне, но не вэй ину).
вэй ин мечтает о тихой жизни с ним и о детях.
ребята и вэнь нин пошли в гору, где нашли связанных цзинь лина, лань сы чжуя и остальных. спасли их, подружились с молодёжью. но тут припёрлись все остальные заклинаиели, включая цзян чэна, чтобы покарать вэй ина. и своих детей уже не слушали, обвиняли его во всех грехах.

П ребята встретились на охоте, которую устраивали кланы. лань чжань опять игнорит вэй у сяня. по воле случая вэй был с повязкой на глазах в лесу, когда какая-то "незнакомка" зацеловала его (это был его первый поцелуй). он в шоке, но естественно ему понравилось. снял повязку, идёт по лесу, видит лань чжаня, который бьёт деревья и потом наорал на него "держись от меня подальше". вэй ин ничего не понял.
тут они застали сестру вэй ина, цзян лин, и цзинь цзы сюаня, которых хотели поженить родители, но парень был высокомерен и обидел девушку. а щас сам за ней бегает. он  и вэй ин поругались, прибежали взрослые, получилась сцена, в ходе устрой цзинь цзы сюань показал симпатию в сестре вэй ина. все разошлись.
лань чжань хочет забрать вэй ина к себе и спрятать, все пытается его уговорить отказаться от тёмного пути.
теперь самым главным кланом пытается стать клан цзинь (глава цзинь гаун шань, придурок сын цзинь цзы сюнь, высокомерный сын цзинь цзы сюань, и бастрад сын цзинь гуан яо, который вроде самый адекватный,), которые похители вэнь Нина. вэй ин пытается его найти, ворвался в зал и устроил скандал, и полетел выручить вэнь Нина. лань чжань, хоть и видит, что вэй ин изменился (хотя он все ещё балабол, просто иногда теряет контроль), всегда его защищает перед остальными.
вэй ин перебил всех надзирателей клана цзинь и спас кучку стариков и детей вэнь из плена. вэнь Нина уже убили, но его труп он тоже забрал.  это навлекло скандал среди заклинателей, все принуждают цзян чэна остановить вэй ина.
в итоге они разошлись, вэй ин вышел из его клана.
вэй ин живёт с вэнь нином (которого он пробудил) и его сестрой и остальными остатками клана вэнь на горе, туда никто не ходит. случайно забрёл лань чжань. милые моменты, где они оба нянчатся с ребёнком из клана вэнь.
сестра вэй ина и цзинь цзы сюань родили  цзинь лина, вэй у сяня позвали на торжество. по пути ему устроил засаду цзынь цзы сюнь. цзы сюань вмешался, но в порыве гнева вэнь нин его убил (вэй ин потерял контроль над ним). вэй ин в шоке, не знает, что делать. вэнь нин и его сестра пошли сдаваться клану цзинь лин. вэй ин пошёл их искать, не смог найти. по пути услышал сплетни крестьян, поколотил их и улетел вершить месть на собрание орденов. они там переругались, потом начали драться.  в потасовке мертвец убил цзян ли. цзян чэн и вэй ин в шоке и горе. вэй ин многих убил и свалил.


Н
все заклинатели приперлись линчевать вэй у сяня, но тут напали мертвецы, а у заклинателей пропали духовные силы.  это все оказалось планом цзинь гуань яо, все об этом узнали. в итоге вэй ин и лань чжань и молодые ребята всех спасли, по пути заклинатели начали соображать, что вэй ин хороший.
в общем, ребята победили мертвецов. теперь  заклинателям уже неудобно на вэй ина бочку гнать. все попали в пристань лотоса.
созвали совет, на нем обнаружили, что цзинь гуань яо повинен в куче грехов, уже приговорили его. вэй ин и лань чжань отправились гулять по пристани лотоса, обнимались (типа нечаянно) и тд. пошли в храм родителей вэй ина, поклонились (что делается при бракосочетаним). тут их застал цзян чэн, обвинил, что они встречаются. вэй ин начал все отрицать, думая, что лань чжаню ужасны такие оскорбления. лань чжань расстроился (короче, они рба думают, что другой воспринимает их как друга). все подрались и поругались, цзян чэн обвинил их в смерти  родителей и сестры. тут вэнь нин рассказал ему, что это вэй ин отдал ему свои духовные силы, они провели сложнейшую операцию пересадки золотого ядра. цзян чэн в шоке, он думал, это чудо ему помогло. именно поэтому вэй ин ступил на тёмный путь и не носил с собой меч (его нельзя было вынуть из ножен), у него не было другого выхода. лань чжань похоже ещё больше влюбился. 
а лань сы чжуй оказался тем малышом, который жил с кланом вэнь, но их всех перебили, а он выжил. и лань чжань взял его к себе.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ❤ he AMADO este libro de principio a fin, y si bien ha roto mi corazón y me retorcía de impotencia, también lo ha sanado y me lo ha hecho bolita!! Wei WuXian es un protagonista increíble y de los más interesantes y amenos que he leído jamás. Con él no me aburro nunca y siempre logra sacarme una sonrisa ahh ahhhh lo tkm :( ("una sonrisa" also this volume narrating his downfall 😍) Y si bien esto es algo que también comparto con los otros volúmenes, la presencia de los juniors hace mi vida más feliz!!! Mis hijitos!!!!

Hasta ahora no me veo la adaptación animada y el manhua no llega a cubrir todo este tomo aún, pero mis respetos a los que hicieron esta parte en la serie de televisión, si bien no todo es exactamente igual, creo que capturaton a la perfección la batalla the Nightless City. Aunque tbh me hubiese gustado la misma perfección al momento que decidieron censurar el romance, ya que esta parte de la historia me ha tenido con el pecho hecho agüita cuando del romance se trata por la manera tan dulce y sincera que se desarrolla, pero equis!! al menos tenemos el libro que es una JOYITA muah!! Sobre todo con la última escena en el bote?? MI CORAZÓN?!?!?!?!? de verdad de verdad UN ROBO!!! y encima con los juniors ahí jajajaja amé cada pedacito

Y por último quería mencionar que realmente me gustó el aspecto filosófico y político resaltado en esta parte de la historia. Cuando se trata del bien y mal, el trasfondo casi siempre nunca es ninguno de estos sino nada menos que una lucha por el poder cueste lo que cueste. No la hago ponerme en los zapatos de wwx ni loca ❤

En fin, me queda un volumen más y los extras. Pero Mo Dao Zu Shi ya se ha convertido en una de mis historias favoritas y de hecho pasaré a releerla en algún momento :)

So I definitely will be rereading this series when all of the official English translations are done because it is just so much to unpack. Don’t you understand? When you’re standing on their side, you’re the bizarre genius, the miraculous hero, the force of the rebellion, the flower that blooms alone. But the second your voice differs from theirs, you’ve lost your mind, you’ve ignored morality, you’ve walked the crooked path. This quote from Jiang Cheng, speaking to Wei Wuxian, really just sets the theme for the whole story, but very much so for this volume. Vol 3 was very plot heavy and pulls together the relationship between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji so much more. There are some moments of timeskips that are not denoted well in the text, and I’m not sure if that is how it was originally written or if that was something lost in translation, another thing to see when the official translation is done. Throughout the story, Wei Wuxian deals so much with being disliked, being an outsider, being on the opposing side of most of society and people in power. A lot of his story deals with grey morals, and is he in the right out of experience mixed with stubbornness, or is the opposing party actually in the right? This uncertainty is very human and not something that is easily well done. This story feels like a commentary on the dilemma commonly faced in the information age of how do you know that what you know is actually the correct path, what is good for yourself and all of humanity? But it is so well ingrained in the story and the character’s paths that it doesn’t feel like a bold contemporary commentary. That is why I want to reread this story when it is done in official translation, there is so much to pick up on that I’m so engrossed in the story I feel that I am missing in part. This volume had a lot of deep moments, incredible fights, tender scenes of reminiscent, and tragedy. MXTX really put so much into this story.

Ah, MDZS... J'ai tardé pour faire cette chronique, mais ce troisième tome est pour l'instant mon préféré !

Par contre, on va commencer tout de suite par un bémol : la chronologie qui n'est pas indiqué. Ça, je trouve que c'est une purge, vraiment. On peut passer 150 pages dans le passé, revenir au présent, repartir dans le passé sans que rien ne soit indiqué. Honnêtement, si je n'avais pas vu le donghua et le live action, je pense que j'aurais été perdue.
Alors je sais bien que Bookmark n'a pas la main là dessus puisque les indications de temporalité n'apparaissent pas dans les publications d'origine, mais ça peut être déstabilisant pour le lecteur.
Par exemple, on quitte le T2 avec une certaine action et on attend ce qui va en découler... Mais on commence le T3 dans le passé et on y reste un long moment.
Bref, je clos là ce bémol.

MDZS, c'est une série que j'affectionne et que j'ai découverte avec le donghua. Il n'y a donc, pour moi, aucune surprise quant à l'histoire, l'intrigue, les personnages, les secrets. Cependant, ça ne m'a pas empêchée de beaucoup aimer ce tome et d'enchaîner les pages.
Si dans les deux tomes précédents j'avais trouvé quelques longueurs, ici j'ai vraiment tout dévorer. Même les passages un peu plus lents qui permettent d'en découvrir un peu plus sur les personnages et leur passé.
Les allers-retours dans le passé nous obligent à faire une petite gymnastique puisqu'ils ne sont pas mentionnés, mais je les ai trouvé appréciables. Dans ce tome, on découvre enfin la shijie de Wei Wuxian, Jiang Yanli, et j'ai été agréablement surprise qu'entre le donghua, le live action et le light novel elle soit aussi constante.

La plume de MXTX reste fidèle à elle-même. Certaines descriptions sont peut-être toujours un peu légères ce qui, pour cette série, ne me dérange pas personnellement puisque j'ai mes repères visuels. Autrement, c'est très agréable à lire et j'aime toujours autant le tempérament tantôt sérieux tantôt enfantin de Wei Wuxian ainsi que son humour.

Les relations entre les personnages évoluent, lentement pour certaines mais sûrement (coucou la scène lors de la chasse). Différents éléments se mettent en place, l'enquête quant au corps démembré se poursuit et certaines accusations tombent sans faire l'unanimité.
C'est un véritable jeu de piste, intéressant à suivre même quand on sait déjà à quoi il aboutit.


Une très bonne lecture, un très bon troisième tome pour cette série dont j'attends avec impatience la suite!

Superbe !

J’ai dévoré ce tome comme les précédents. Les pages se sont tournées toutes seules, à tel point que je ne me voyais pas approcher de la fin. Et quand j’y suis arrivée, me voilà frustrée ! J’ai hâte de lire le tome 4.

Celui-ci est aussi une merveille. On en découvre davantage sur le passé de Wei Wuxian. Nous avons des explications sur le pourquoi d’autant de haine à son égard. Mais nous en apprenons aussi un peu plus sur Lan Wangji. J’ai aimé retourner dans le passé pour mieux les comprendre. Et ce, même si nous découvrons un Wei Wuxian qui peut se révéler aussi terrifiant qu’adorable et drôle ! Je pense notamment à une scène abominable, mais par ces détails choquants, elle apparaît alors très prenante. Je crois bien que ce passage fera partie de la collection d’extraits qui m’ont retourné ! En d’autres termes, l’écriture de l’auteur est, encore une fois, vraiment saisissante.

Incroyable. Impatiente d’avoir le tome 4 entre mes mains ! 🙌🏻

Mama… Ce tome 3 était juste… splendide 😍
J’ai pris un plaisir fou à lire ce tome. Maintenant que je connais tous les personnages et tous les enjeux, je n’ai pas eu de problème de compréhension en lisant (chose qui m’avait un peu gênée dans les tomes 1 et 2) et c’était génial !
La quasi entièreté du tome est un flashback sur la jeunesse de Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji et Jiang Cheng et sur la guerre avec les Wen. On apprend plein de nouvelles choses, j’ai passé mon temps à glousser et chouiner.
J’ai beaucoup aimé en apprendre plus sur Jiang Cheng, il m’a fait beaucoup de peine.
Et Wei Wuxian et Lan Wangji… Oh la la ! Mais mon dieu ! C’était si intense depuis si longtemps. Et Lan Wangj ! Je ne pensais pas qu’il me surprendrait comme ça ! (J’ai hurlé et relu LA scène trois fois 🤣).
J’adore aussi Lan Xichen qui prend tellement soin de son frère, c’est trop mignon !
En bref, j’ai adoré et j’ai sauté direct sur le tome 4 !

Book two is all about WWX’s past and him becoming the Yiling Patriarch and creating his own cultivation. This book is 50% me screaming sexy wwx and 50% me in pain because of all that him, yunmeng trio, and the Wen sect remnants go through. Also pain from all the wangxian angst. MXTX really just continued to say how can I make readers feel even more pain 😭 But I truly love how dark the story is and how we get to see so much of his power. Like his girl ghoul squad or when he just whistles and ghouls follow his command. It’s something I wish we got to see more of in the live action. I’m so ready for book three because we return to the present and soon wangxian angst will be over 😭 I also just love how we as the reader really see how much LWJ loved WWX but he really couldn’t see it because of everything he was facing 😞

Die Berg und Talfahrt ging weiter. Ich liebe jeden einzelnen Charakter, die beste Beschreibung der Kapitel ist Zuckerhut und Peitsche. So schön das eine Kapitel ist umso zerstörender und trauriger ist das nächste! Aber ich bin so glücklich diese novel reihe für mich entdeckt zu haben. Zu vermerken ist das ich die 18+ Version gelesen habe und am Schluss mit einem hochrotem Kopf vor dem Buch saß, huiii das kam sehr unerwartet! Man erfährt so wahnsinnig viel aus sämtlichen Zeitabschnitt und auf einmal ergibt alles einen Sinn und man hinterfragt alles von Seite 1 an, es war fantastisch so überrascht zu werden. Mit einem weinenden und einem lachenden Auge starte ich nun das letzte Buch der Reihe!

How was my life before reading this series? I can’t even remember! I’m the happiest every time I read about this amazing characters, I feel like even if my weeks sucks, at least I can found all of this people again through this pages and feel hugged by them (even if the story turns tragic something lol) but as I say, it’s and incredible story, an incredible world . I’m so happy and grateful, read this was one of the best decisions of my year.
Also I didn’t expected this one to be sooo good, I mean all of the previous books were awesome, but after watching just the Chinese tv show, I was shockeeeed (in a good way of course) because Wei ying and Lan Zhan gave me a looot, love u guys! 💕

As usual, I only start to really appreciate a book series at the 2nd or 3rd book, even thought I really like it from the start. I really like that there are still the playful gay tenderness bits but also we see Wei Wuxian going insane even though he always had good intentions. I really like that the characters do lose and sacrifice things during the series and keep secrets. I feel like in a lot of books nowadays the characters have nothing at stake really. But here, people who are close to the main cast lose their lives, others do kindness or evil and keep it secret. It's just a wonderful story.

Não sei bem como descrever o que estou sentindo depois de terminar esse livro, mas é comum para mim que depois de um tempo eu esqueça os motivos das guerras em livros muito longos e elaborados. Finalmente o Wei Wuxian e o Lan-Zhan começaram a ter alguma tensão, o Wei Wuxian parou de se fingir de hetero e o Lan-Zhan é uma comédia como sempre.
Esse livro é gigante e cheio de plots paralelos, o que me deixa um pouco confusa com os saltos no tempo.
Eu vou continuar a série e estou animada para ler a visual novel!

Volume 3 is from about ch. 58 to ch. 84! And I'd forgotten that it holds all of the flashbacks from the Wen sect taking over/fighting the Xuanwu beast all the way to the bitter end. It made me cry even before the scene that usually makes me cry. There was just the one scene where Wei Wuxian wakes up after being stabbed, and he's so happy to see Lan Wangji there because he says it's been so long since someone was there for him when he was hurt. Like, damn. That sure hurted.

Porque leí lo que pasa en la primera vez entre los dos. Simplemente asqueroso. No sólo los libros se arruinaron, sino que también no sé cómo voy a volver a ver la serie sabiendo todo eso.

De todas formas, sin saber nada de eso, es la primera vez que que prefería mil veces la serie antes que la novela.

Nem 10 anos de terapia seriam o suficiente pra eu conseguir superar tudo o que esses arcos me causaram.
A carga emocional é muito forte, você sente literalmente tudo pelo Wuxian. Sem contar o gore pesado.
Mas se Wei Wuxian errou foi tentando acertar, reizinho!
