Kay Elam is a late-blooming author from Nashville, TN.

Though not a writer of "scary", her first published short story was "The Trolls" in the anthology
Horrors: Real, Imagined, and Deadly, edited by Matt Sinclair of Elephant's Book Press.

Her mainstream short story Good Friday was in the literary anthology The New Frontier-Short Fiction and Poems from an Old New World, edited by Jennifer Steen of Inception Books.

She was then drawn back to horror and has two short stories, Oh, Baby! and Hormones of Horror in the YA Anthology The Creepy Collection, edited by Mika Sugano and Jennifer Steen of Inception Books.

Two more short stories, Runaway Wife and Primetime were published in February, 2018, by Inkception in the romantic anthology Always and For Never.

She has finished her debut novel, STORMY, and is seeking representation.

She's currently working on a three-book mystery series set in high-profile Nashville locations.The books include recipes for organic hair and skin care beauty products her sleuths use to help solve crimes.

Kay enjoys yoga and sitting on her back porch watching her flowers grow, though not necessarily in that order.
