H/h were childhood bestfriends who were in love with each other and neither one said anything. H gets super drunk at the grad party and ow made it seem like something happened. Heroine sees the ow looking freshly f$cked and H had his jeans unbuttoned (although nothing happened). Heroine thinks something happened and she up and left the next day.
Fast forward 5 yrs, heroine comes back. She’s still a virgin. Hero sees her and after 3 days, H drops by her house. They have sex right away. H had ow but he said he was celibate for a few years already since he was busy in the ranch.
This short read was just blah.

Logan and Lila have been friends for years, though both want more neither act on it. But the day Lila comes upon Logan seemingly have just been with another woman, her heart breaks and she knows she has to let her dream of them go. That was the last time she saw him, leaving the next day and ignoring all contact with him for five years.
Logan knows he messed up, though what Lila thought happened didn't, he's referring to thinking he had more time to get the courage to tell Lila his feelings had changed. He's spent the past five years missing her and what they could've had, and then he finds out she's back.
Lila is home, and is trying to prepare herself to see Logan again. She tried to move on, but could never fully do so as she still wanted Logan.
Logan knows this is his chance, and probably his last, to claim the woman he knows is meant to be his, but first he has to break through her defenses and hope she believes him.
Will these two finally talk and share their true feelings? Or are they destined to be apart? Will Rowan and Marie get their own book?

On a purely personal note, I've never read Bella Love-Wins, but I love Jenika's books. This premise intrigued me for numerous reasons, and while I did enjoy it, there were things that bothered me. None detract from the story or either author's talent, but are due to my particular preferences. First, Logan never, unless I completely missed it, tells Lila that nothing happened with that woman that night, nor does Lila ask about it at all. You'd think it would come up since it was the catalyst for her leaving and cutting him out of her life. Second, Logan mentally says that he "wasn't a monk", but "the women he came across over the years haven't appealed to me enough to redirect my focus." That confuses me. Is he a virgin or isn't he? Was he with other women while wanting Lila? Was he celibate while she was gone? I really wish that had also been clarified. We're told Lila is a virgin, and after leaving had made out with a few guys, but still saved herself for Logan. Yet, we're never given a straight answer about Logan's actions while they're apart. It just feels as if a few things were left unresolved and unclear, and that lowered not only my enjoyment of the story and investment of them as a couple, but also my rating.

This one was really just ok. H was not a virgin, and based on their ages and when they met, either he started having sex when he was 12/13, or he was having sex with ow after meeting the h. That's not necessarily a deal breaker, but I wish that the authors had either not mentioned his sexual history, or had been less vague about how long it had been for him. Based on their ages, I was honestly going into this expecting the H to also be a virgin, so that was a bit of a bummer. Then, the mention of the h making out with and heavy petting with other guys while in college? I just don't understand how you do that when you're supposedly in love with someone else.
Their separation was also really strange. Apparently the h's mom always wanted the H and h to be together... but she avoids seeing the H around town and doesn't step in to help? Like, by maybe passing on the h's phone number or something? The H also never actually does anything to the h, other than be her friend, yet she drops him like a hot potato and never looks back. Never reached out. It's a small town, so why/how would her mom never update the h to let her know that the H's parents both died, that the H was running his family ranch now. How could the h NEVER have asked what the H was up to? That's so weird. And frankly, with the h's mom still living in the same town, I can't believe the H didn't beat down her door to try to appeal to her, to get in touch with the h.
Those are just a few of the things that don't scream "love and devotion", to me. Additionally, I'm pretty sure the name of one of the secondary characters was changed part way through the book (Rowen/Patrick).

A sexy, short and light read!
This is a second chance standalone about Lila and Logan. They were both best friends in high school, but even both wanting more, they were afraid it would jeopardize their friendship. So when Lila thought it was all lost, she left everything behind.
Five years later, she's back and now they are both willing to open up about their feelings.
It was fast paced and relaxing, also really sexy. It wasn't deep and full of dialogues and feelings, and I kind of felt there was something missing, but it was entertaining and a book to read in a sitting!

Cute little story. Second chance high school romance story. Lila and Clark have known each other since high school and loved each other just as long. But neither have told each other their feelings, you know being kids and all. So when Lila leaves without a word Clark thinks he will never have a chance to tell her.
This is a short novella, with a little background, or depth character staging. But for a quick read, it is good. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

This was a short story that consists of the journey of a young love story between Logan and Lila, two high school best friends who are secretly in love with each other but afraid to admit their feelings and lose their friendship... this is a second chance romance novella due to misunderstandings, miscommunication and being too young to understand the enormity of their feelings toward each other and what that intense feeling they felt was love <3
Logan hasn't seen Lila in five long years... He lost his parents and the love of his love all together :( but the moment he sees Lila again, he knows that this time he won't let her slip through his fingers again and make her his ;) <3
I felt for Lila... she was in love with her best friend who she thought only saw her as his best friend so when she sees him with another girl (appearances can be deceiving) in a flustered state, her heart broke and she did the only thing she saw she could do, she ran away and went to college, heartbroken but determined to move on. Five years have passed since these two saw each other and Logan is not the same. He's matured into a man with responsibilities involving his ranch (his deceased parents left him their ranch), the heartache because of his parents' death and Lila's disappearance and Lila feels she isn't enough for Logan, luckily, he shows her she's his everything <3 :) <3
I hope we get more stories collaborated between these two authors, Jenika Snow and Bella Love-Wins because I liked this one a lot :)

This is a sweet 2nd chance love story. Lila and Logan are people who start off as friends which graduate into BFF and then soon they both come to realize they love the other. Only problem is they never get to tell the other of their feelings. A misunderstanding happens and one leaves the other behind. Not even a goodbye occurs. Lila leaves for college thinking that all they will be is best friends. She goes away without a trace while Logan was stuck at his parents’ ranch. Five years later Lila returns to her home to live and work. Lila still love Logan, still loves him deeply. Lila wonders if she will ever find the courage to tell Logan of her feelings for him that she has and of the love she harbored for him years before and how she wanted to tell him then. Will Logan ever gather up the courage to tell Lila of his feelings too? Will they get their HEA or has too much time passed for that to occur ? This is a sweet and spicy 2nd chance novella that will tug on your heartstrings.

This story is featured around Lila and Logan. They were best friends all through high school. Both had feelings for each other but never told the other how they felt. A misunderstanding happens and Lila leaves their town behind along with Logan. Years later Lila ends up moving back to town and Logan is making plans to make Lila his forever.
Oh golly! Once these two got over the awkward two step of being around each other again, it was on like Donkey Kong! (does anybody still say that?)
This isn't a long book, but it has friends to lovers, second chance romance, and steamy scenes. I enjoyed reading this and can't wait to read more from these two authors!

I loved this one. It's a sweet second chance at love. Only this is a love that was never expressed or claimed between best friends. A misunderstanding happens and one leaves and the other left behind. No explanation or goodbye. Now she has returned and i'm not going to let her get away, because she belongs to me.

He knows that Lila is back and he intends to stake his claim this time.
Commentary: One big loose end - Lila was left thinking that Logan was with that other girl back in high school. I know they were making a new start, but there was no reason for that to be left hanging in the air. She could have said, "oh by the way, I left because I didn't know you wanted me and I saw you with that other girl," and then he could have cleared that up, and all would have been well.
Also, why was he with other women, but she wasn't with other men? If he was holding out hope, he was doing it very well!

A lovely second chance love story. Lila left Logan years ago. She was afraid to tell him her true feelings and risk ruining their friendship . Logan has loved Lila since forever, he too was afraid to lose her as a friend so he hid is feelings from her. Now she is back and she is determined to move on and build a life. Now that Lila is back, Logan plans to make Lila's his forever.
This story was so good Lila and Logan were amazing together once they got over the awkwardness of seeing each other again. When they did get together their were fireworks. Another hit for me and a great pairing of authors!

This book is a short, friends to lovers romance about childhood friends, Logan and Lila. These two could've been together as teens however things didn't go as planned for either of them. Instead, it takes 5 years post high school graduation for Lila and Logan to get together. I liked Lila and Logan, separately as well as together, however, I would've loved to see more of them together and/or a bit of a build-up. They're both sweethearts and their story is enjoyable however falls a little short for me.

I enjoyed this from start to finish. I like second chance romances. Especially when they involve best friends that were in love with each other, but neither one wanted to ruin the friendship by crossing the arbitrary line. When this alpha was ready to cross the line and misunderstood what he thought he saw, he dove in fist first to make sure it was known who he belonged to!

Mixed feelings
I liked this book. It wasn’t as naughty as I was expecting, with Jenika Snow being the author. Even though it was well written, it felt a lot restrained, not matching the title. It was a good book, which is why I didn’t know off a star, but. I also didn’t appreciate the blurbs from other books, that took up space, that would have been better used for this book. Just my personal opinion.

Wow...what a disappointment.
I love JS books, and always hit "buy" as soon as I find a new one. This book felt forced and incomplete. I don't know the other authors work, and based on this book I know I won't be looking for any. The book cut off so abruptly it felt like a huge let down. Very disappointing.

Loved this story!
This was a sweet second chance story between best friends. Logan and Lila have loved each other forever, but were both afraid to admit it for fear of ruining thier friendship. When Lila moves back to town, Logan decides that he can't wait any longer to make her his. Loved it!

Awesome fast read,quick and sexy. Highly recommend if you want a light sexy read great authors! Cowboys are sexy. Lila and Logan would love to read more about them or with them in other books.
