Michael Williams followed in his father’s footsteps, and joined the UEDF, the United Earth Defense Force, when he turned eighteen. He never imagined the truths and events of the last few weeks. Aliens were real, the government was murdering dissident civilians right under their noses, and the professed dangers of their abilities had all turned out to be lies.
The Aliens were a clear and present danger, humanity was at risk. There were also other compelling reasons to follow through with their initial plans to end the war between technology and evolution. To see the end of the UE.
The only real question was, could he live with the cost, or even survive at all?
I've been an avid book reader since I was a teenager in the 1980's. My preferred genre's are science fiction and fantasy.
I wrote some short stories and was encouraged to try writing and self publishing by some friends. I work in computers and writing is an obsessive hobby I have been trying to hone for a couple of years now. I'll let you judge if I have succeeded or not.
D.L. Harrison has done it again! Another exciting volume in the story of an evolved and totally free humanity that works in peaceful partnership with their evolved and free AIs. Some evolved humans decide to become space explorers. Deciding to revisit the first alien species that they had previously accidentally started a war with, they work to resolve that war and then decide to go further and help the aliens with another interstellar conflict that has been forced on them. This is an interesting and exciting book. Very much recommended.
