I absolutely loved this story❣️

A tortured soul tries to deal with life and love in the only way he knows how, and this story is how he does it.

A beautiful soul wrenching love story and life story will capture your heart and remain there for a very long time.

BT has a heart of gold and it shines brightly through the pages of this story he brought to life. Thanks BT for doing a love story and dealing with mental health in such a real, heartfelt and compassionate way.

Thirty Days - a Novel will take you on a journey of a man who needs to heal himself from a broken heart. He’s a struggling writer living in NYC who accepts a challenge that will help him find his way to being whole. The characters become your family and friends. Real, honest, hilarious and supportive. Mr. Urruela eloquently creates a world for his readers to immerse themselves in to share in Gavin’s trials and tribulations and allows them to feel in their souls how heart wrenching mental issues can be to overcome. You will laugh, cry and pray for Grace, Sami, Megan and Jovan. You’ll love Bobby as your own brother and want to join the crew at Peg Legs for a pint or two. The sights and sounds of New York City will come alive for you and you will yearn to grab a ticket on the subway to experience it for yourself. BT Urruela’s voice with this release is crystal clear and his growth as an author shines through every page. Do yourself a favor grab some coffee and indulge yourself you’ll thank me later.

Thirty Days is a story I think I’ll hold close to my heart for a while. Gavin is a struggling author who had one best seller and attempted a sequel and it tanked. That’s only one of his many struggles unfortunately. Gavin has struggled for years with his anxiety and depression after a pretty traumatic childhood and this story isn’t so much about him going on a bunch of dates as it is about him learning to help himself out of this dark place he’s buried himself in.

The dates and girls are a nice bonus to the story, but his relationship with his grandma and his internal struggles dealing with mental illness really took the stage I think. I definitely bawled my eyes out and felt all of Gavin’s aches and pains through out this book. Being an anxiety sufferer myself, I really appreciated BT’s real and raw accounts of what it’s like to struggle with an illness that a lot of people do not understand or don’t care to understand. This was a great read! I loved it.

My first book by this author. It was an very emotional real. Many laugh
out loud moments. My heart went out to Gavin. His best friend had his heart in the heart place, and made me laugh a lot. Trying to get him out of the rut he was in. A broken heart and struggling with writing.
The whole 30 day challenge I liked. Gavin not so much. But went with it. Until he met someone who changed him. Opened him up to love again. Maybe...

See what happens and buy the book.

One of the most inspiring, heartwarming stories I have ever read. I real raw look at depression and anxiety and how it can effect all aspects of your life. Told through the voice of Gavin who has hit rock bottom but with the help of his friends, the love of his aging grandmother and an experienced therapist, Gavin learns to let past traumas go, let love in and thrive again.

The basic story of Thirty Days (parts 1-3) is an average kind of guy participating in a 30-dates-in-30-days challenge. Swipe dating brings its own kind of comedy, with lots of laughs. But the true story- the deeper story - is about overcoming the ugliest things this broken world can bring to a person.

Part One:
Emotional. Raw. Real. A story like this cannot be written without truth behind it. That makes it real. And funny. Let's not forget how funny real life can be! I laughed, I cried, and I laughed some more. Know what I loved most? Gavin isn't perfect. No perfectly chiseled abs (but yay for great arms!), no perfect character. He's flawed, and he's real.

Part Two:
BT Urruela describes the sound of vinyl records as different than digital music- Raw. Genuine. Thats the best way to describe this story. Add to that, funny, heart warming, exciting & gut wrenching. As I did with Thirty Days Part 1, I laughed, smiled cheered and screamed (in my head since others were around, but it was tough to contain!). *There is another cliff hanger ending, but I'll forgive BT for that.

Part Three:
The progression of the story has certain elements that are inevitable. That doesn't mean they are predictable - BTs skill in developing characters with unique voice and emotion left me feeling so much more than I'd expect from a "predictable" story. I may have known what would happen at some point, but I was not prepared for how I would feel in that moment.

BT has provided a beautiful conclusion to the series. A piece of himself shared with us all. Read it, laugh & cry, and consider all those around you may just have more to them than you know.

For me, Thirty Days is so much more than a romance novel ~ it’s a raw, real and honest look at the struggles to live with and attempt to overcome the effects of anxiety, depression and PTSD. It’s also a story of a man’s struggle to overcome his past in order to have a future. The experiences Gavin Mazzarelli has had in his past have shaped the man he is today, but have also put him in a dark place that he’s struggling to get out of. Through the support of his friends, some unconventional but effective experiences, and the opportunity to confront his past, he is given a new outlook that helps him move forward and get the control back in his life that he needs to heal.

BT Urruela has written a story that will draw you in and have you feeling all the emotions of his characters, and especially those of Gavin. His characters are real and relateable and ones you’ll want to know better.

When an author writes a story, they include a piece of themselves in at least one of their characters and I have no doubt that Mr. Urruela has included a HUGE chunk of himself in Gavin, and for that I say, “thank you”. It’s not easy to cut yourself open and reveal those raw places inside, and I respect you for doing just that so others can see they truly are not alone. I consider Thirty Days to be BT's best work to date.

A MUST read from BT Urruela!!!

I’ve read almost everything BT has published, and this by far is my favorite of them all! Although I laughed out loud on more than one occasion (something I very, very, very rarely do while reading … this book had me cracking up on a regular basis!!! The banter and inner dialogue is freaking hilarious!!!!), at other times I was fighting back tears or wanting to cheer for the main character. My point is, this is so much more than a second chance/online dating romance. Interwoven with the laugh out loud dialogue and heart breaking angst is a deep, moving story about serious, compelling issues real people face. And that’s exactly what these characters feel like: REAL, GENUINE people!! I felt Gavin’s emotions, and I fell in love with him, wishing I could share a beer with him in one chapter and wanting to give him a hug in others. It’s hard to describe how connected I felt to Gavin!! With romance, abuse, loss, drugs/alcohol, grief, mental illness, and a man who struggles to overcome all of those things, Gavin and his story is one of you won’t ever forget!!!

In this book you meet Gavin at his lowest, so low his friend tries to get him out of his funk by challenges his to go on three dates to bring him back into the world of living, but when Gavin rushes through them his friend offer him a better deal that he can't pass up, $25,000 if he goes on 30 dates in 30 days. You get to know Gavin and his thirty dates as well as he tries to navigate through his creative block with the help of drugs and alcohol. Bad dates, a visit with his ex and his struggles with writing has him questioning if he'll survive these dates, meeting Sami, a woman who he clicks with he's not sure his heart is in it to go on to the next date. Be prepared with tissues. Well written account of a guy climbing his way out of some deep lows. Great humor, engaging characters and Gavin's internal emotional war makes this a great read!

This was my first full novel of BT Urruela’s that I have read. It didn’t disappoint. It outlines the struggles of a man just to live life after enduring a rough upbringing and trials/circumstances in his current adult life. In addition to living up to a Thirty Day challenge imposed by Bobby his best friend. You get a big view into the world of depression and the unseen damage that it causes. I found this book relatable. I could feel the emotions that the characters have.

Take a trip through Thirty Days with Gavin. You will fall in love with the good man and root for him through this Thirty Day challenge that his best friend has laid before him.

Very well written. I will purchase a paper copy for my bookshelf in addition to my kindle version.

Amazon has this book in its Romantic Comedy category. Um, guys? No. Just no. This book is in a category by itself that I'm going to label Men's Fiction. It's exactly like a Women's Fiction book but from a male pov. And WOW! It was so achingly real and raw in parts that I had to put it down. And it was so emotionally compelling that I couldn't put it down at times. And yes there are funny moments, but it's not a romantic comedy or even a romance in the traditional sense. Although the romance that wove its way through the book was lovely. So Men's Fiction it is. I'd read more from this author in a heartbeat.

Whether it was just perfect timing that this book came to me or BT's amazing writing, either way, this book blew me away. I saw myself in Gavin in so many ways, minus the he's a guy and I'm a girl, but our lives have so many parallels in this story. BT's writing pulls you in and gives you such a bond with the characters he brings to the pages. I laughed out loud, did the ugly cry in an airport, so fair warning, felt my heart break and then grin from ear to ear. And I have to give Gavin credit for doing the online dating for the 30 days, for me 3 days was enough hell. LOL

Refreshingly honest story about life

This was my first BT book and I really enjoyed it. This book had so many raw moments, this is no hearts and flowers fairy tale, or light beach read. But it is a story of hope. Of one’s journey from the darkness that so many have walked. It was honest. Though I have not personally suffered in the ways that Gavin has in this book, I am surrounded by first responders who are fighting that battle and I am so thankful for the truth and honesty written, and in the end, the hope given for those who are willing to take a chance on themselves.

Thirty Days!!

I have no words!!

No I really don’t have the words to describe everything this book made me feel. I started reading this book without reading what it was about, just because I’ve loved BT Urruela’s other books.
Needless to say this book blew me away. I laughed a little, I cried a lot, and most of all I felt every word that was written deep down in my soul.
If you’re looking for something different to read I highly recommend you one click this book, you won’t be disappointed. And as always happy reading. 📖

So inspiring

Loved this book. It is a great story about love and loss. About finding out who you are even when life seems to be sucking in the worst way. Finding out that your friends are always there even when you think they shouldn’t be. Also, sometimes you need to be a little easier on yourself. A really great read.

Amazing

I thank BT for writing a story that was relatable. Depression and other mental illness is real. People don’t like talking about it. His bringing awareness of trying to find love and trying to battle the darkness. Having the support of people who love you to fight for the light. Helping you take one day at a time. I enjoyed this book so much.

“Thirty Days” a novel, brings 3 novellas into one continuous flow. As the acknowledgement shares, this story brings awareness to the seriousness and the realness of depression. I’m thankful in the story for Gavin’s friend Bobby. May we each strive to be a Bobby.

I started this book when it was just a novella series and loved it. I bought the full novel and decided to read it again when I had a clearer heart. I’ve never had a hard time reading a book before. I love how close to home it hits. I can relate to a lot of what Gavin has gone through. I lost my grandmother right before the third novella came out and had a hard time reading it. She passed away from the same affliction Grace did. Although mine never got so bad to the point of not knowing me but I miss hearing her say she missed hearing my voice. I didn’t get time with her being I’m in Florida and she was in Vegas. BT thank you for writing this book. It simultaneously filled my heart and broke it a little. It’s such a beautiful story from start to finish. This book has been recommended to every book lover I know!

Gavin's story is beautifuly emotional tale of heartbreak, despair, friendship, hope, and love with a bit of comic relief.
We meet Gavin when he is a very low point. He's struggling with heartache, depression and PTSD. We are taken on his thirty journey in the world of swipe dating. Along the way we learn Gavin's weakness, fears, and sorrows, but we also get to see his amazing friendships, the love of family and strength he didn't know he had.
I cheered when Gavin gave a much deserved FU, I cried when he was heart broken, I wore a silly grin when things took an turn for the better and I even did a little fist pump for his Grandma. When it ended it felt like saying goodbye to an old friend.
This is an amazing journey written beautifully.
