“Leslie, don’t you know anything, I’ll never run from you. I’ll fight for you….forever.”
This was our first book by Amy Daws and after being swathed in the humour, warmth and fun of her characters, ‘tits’ fair to say, we’ll be checking out more from this witty, talented author!
London Bound was a mixture of humour, painful pasts and beneath the romance, at the heart of the story was a wonderfully threaded theme of true friendships that stand the test of time.
This can be read as a standalone but we kind of wish we’d read the first two books to further explore the history on Leslie, Finley, Frank and Brody whose relationship we really warmed to. Family Flick Night….we’d love to be parked on that couch cuddling up with them in our onesies!
“You shine and you sparkle and you make me feel again.”
Leslie could be a bit frustrating at times. Her continual rejection of Theo began to wear a bit thin with us. Fair play to Theo for being so persistent because Leslie certainly didn’t give off many encouraging vibes. There was one scene in particular where her behaviour really annoyed us. We found her actions at this particular time to be insensitive and immature which didn’t correlate to the maturity of a young woman confident enough to travel to the other side of the world and start a new life on her own. Though we were later to discover the reasons behind the shields Leslie put up, it still didn’t completely excuse some of her behaviour in our eyes.
Theo was such a sweetheart. Boy did this guy have a BIG heart! Hot, suave, vulnerable and very sexy oh and let’s not forget patient…..wow! This man certainly had patience in spades where Leslie was concerned. Theo was also masking a painful tragedy that wore on him and his daily life, this guy was so sweet and romantic.
“You finally brought light back into my life, Leslie. The last thing I want to do is drag you into this fucking darkness.” – Theo
“Darkness is life. We can’t avoid it forever.” - Leslie
Frank, Leslie’s hilarious gay friend was a HOOT! We adored him and he added so much light hearted relief to the story and helped us see beneath the outgoing, gregarious façade Leslie presented. These two were definitely kindred spirits and their relationship was so much fun!
‘Maybe it truly is destiny that we found each other in that porn shop. We are kindred spirits.’
We certainly commend the author for scoping the British vernacular for her setting of this book and some gave us a good giggle, however there were instances where the vernacular/slang would be incorrectly used in relation to the emotion the author was expressing through her characters. This was especially so in certain emotional scenes where the words used did not correlate to the feelings of the characters. Some were terms a man of Theo’s age wouldn’t use, which could at times take us out of the story.
Despite those misgivings, this was a sweet and sexy story of opening up your heart. Of putting your past behind you and giving love a chance because you never know….that person who is right in front of you might just be Mr Right instead of Mr Right Now! Warm, funny and entertaining. A sweet escape we think readers will love.

I want this beautiful house in London to be real. I want to open that purple door and I want to live there with Frank, Leslie, Finley, Julie, Mitch, and Brody. I want this world I created to actually exist so I can visit and make fun of the ridiculous outfits Frank wears! I have completely fallen in love with my London Lovers and am so proud of sharing Leslie and Theo's story in London Bound. It may just be a series stealer. :)

My favorite things about this book:
1. The heroine, Leslie. She is absolutely hilarious. She's snarky and witty but she is also sweet and kind.
2. Frank - Leslie's friend. I really hope he gets his own story because I loved him. Every girl should have a friend like Frank.
3. Theo. Wow. What a wonderful hero. He loves so completely and has such a good heart. I adored him. I love a hero who is willing to work for what he wants, who will really fight to get the woman he loves and Theo is all of that and more.
4. The drama and angst. Normally, I hate angst and secrets but this was done so well. This wasn't over-the-top angsty, both Leslie and Theo had secrets and I couldn't wait to find out what Theo was holding back.
5. Frank's 7 day cleanse for Leslie. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments.
6. The witty banter between Frank and Leslie. Hilarious.
I LOVED this book. This is the first book I have read by this author and I can't wait to read more. I loved this story, fell in love with the characters and the writing. There were a lot of really funny moments but there was also some serious issues and I loved the way this author balanced both. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I really loved this one and highly recommend it!

It was an amazing ‘book’ journey. The only reason I picked this book was one word that jumped out to me from the blurb: hero was not ready to let go the heroine. And my interest was piqued.
This was a funny-witty book with so much more. There was a depth to the story and the characters. Both MC’s made mistakes, they weren’t perfect but it only made them that much more realistic. It was beautiful to read how a near broken family heals and find happiness again. I loved heroine’s friends. They were bloody perfect especially Frank.
I sometimes disliked the actions of heroine but it only made her more human in my eyes. The 7 day long cleanse she undergoes,because of meddling/beautiful friends are a awsome adventures to both heroine and the readers. This book definitely have some quirky twists. And the hero, he never gave upon her. His will and love for her was absolute. He needed her and the heroine needed to be needed. Which I think makes them perfect for each other.
There is a kissing scene of both OM/OW ( as heroine did it first I couldn’t complain more fiercely) otherwise totally safe. Before They were both celibate for few years.
Recommended.
Oh.. and epilogue was a gem!

Maybe. It depends on the plot. I'd definitely read another one if it's narrated by Piper Goodeve.
What does Piper Goodeve bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I think it would have been a slower read for me simply because I prefer the main characters to spend a lot of time together earlier in the story. Leslie and Theo had a crazy hot first meeting, and then she resisted him for longer than I'd have preferred. Also, Frank's 7-day cleanse seemed to drag on for a bit to me. Fortunately, Piper Goodeve's talent for animating characters helped hold my attention and kept me invested in finding out when Leslie would finally go all in with Theo and see where their connection took them.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I suck at this, but maybe something like, “Let this sexy Brit win you over!”

I loved this quote which summed up what Leslie needed to learn in order to give her heart to Theo 100%. ‘This man is worth needing. He’s worth trusting and we’re going to pull each other out of the darkness. Together. As a family.’ ~Leslie

This book had everything I needed, wanted, and craved, a 5 star read. It's has a sexy alpha male who says it as it is, who made my lady parts tingle. A heroine unlike no other I'd ever read before - Lesley is unique, loyal, funny and completely cray cray. Frank, the gay best friend and self confess pervert whose antics had me snorting in laughter. It has a story that took me from laughing out loud, to jaw dropping shock, to feeling of desperation and an ending that had me sobbing into my kindle.
This is book 3 in the London Lovers series and although it features characters from the other books I feel it can be read as a stand alone ( the other books are just as awesome so I'd read them first ).
We follow Leslie who is starting to feel that she will never find ' the One ' after the wedding of her best friend. Frank, Lesley's gay best friend decides she needs Frank’s Seven-Day Cleanse 2 Happiness which basically entails a different task each night ending with Lesley getting a shag on day 7. This leads to some very entertaining situations, my favourite one, meeting a transgender admirer - who knew there was such a thing ? What Lesley doesn't bank on is 'bumping' into Theo a sex, glasses,wearing hunk who Lesley just happen to have dry humped a few months previous and he won't take no for an answer. Each one is holding back something big from theirs pasts, until these secrets are revealed their relationship can never more forward.
As I'm writing this review I can feel a book hangover looming. I not sure another book can reach this standard. Amy's writing swings from funny, exciting, charming, romantic, sexy to heart wrenching, desperate, but at the end of it all love is the winner, love always wins.
I've read all of Amy's books but this one is hands down the best of the series, landing Theo's and Lesley's story forever etched in my heart .

My Review:
After 3 flawless books in less than a year – I do believe that Amy Daws should be listed as a national treasure. She is to me at least, as I have become a total fan-girl. She never fails to entertain and skillfully takes me through the full range of emotions while enjoying her books. I was gritting my teeth with impatience at one character, yet within 30 seconds I was snorting and giggling at Frank’s wicked humor. I adore her characters, they are smart, funny, flawed, and a bit broken. And I fully appreciate reading a series that can continue the previous storylines, without those horrid cliffhangers that seem to be such a rampant plague on the genre. Ms. Daws narrative is addictive and consuming. Although I am not a fan of angst - I can endure it from her without complaint - as I trust she will deftly take the story where it needs to go. While reading Becoming Us and A Broken Us, I was totally in love with Brody. But he has since been dethroned, as after London Bound, I am now in love/lust with Theo. Swoon! Hmm, I wonder who will be next?

London Bound is my third Amy Daws book and I really enjoyed it. This was a story about friendships that last a life time. And I love that!! It can definitely be read as a standalone but I feel like reading the first two books can be helpful in understanding all the characters.
This is the story of Theo and Leslie. Of course all characters in books can be a bit frustrating- but Leslie kept rejecting Theo and that hurt him, and me! I was really rooting for Theo, and he kept at it and never gave up on her- which really made me like him a lot more. He was definitely caring and such a sweetie. I mean wow was he patient and that can be hard to find; he is a good man. Leslie does have redeeming qualities; however, she is super witty- even though she can be labeled as a handful.
I really liked Leslie's friend Frank. He was hilarious and definitely was the comic relief to any of the drama and angst I experienced while reading this one. He helped me to better understand the Leslie's personality. And the seven day cleanse to happiness- that was probably my favorite part of their interaction.
This book was not over the top drama filled or angsty- but there were definite moments I wanted to stop reading, take a breather, or even throw my kindle across the room. I didn't do any of those things, so I could handle what Amy had to dish out.

Leslie moved to London a few years ago and is out with her friends one night at a nightclub where she meets the handsome Theo. After an embarrassing sexual encounter, she wants nothing more than to never see Theo again. Theo however wants to see a lot more of Leslie and is immediately taken by her. When they see each other again things don't go any better. Leslie is determined to stay away from Theo despite her attraction to him and Theo is falling hard and fast for Leslie.
A few months later Leslie is doing a seven-day cleanse planned by her friend Frank and the end result is to have a one-night stand. When Theo finds out however he is less than pleased and shows up at different times to prove to Leslie that the two of them should be in a relationship. At the end of the cleanse Leslie finally admits she wants Theo and the two of them try being together, but both are keeping secrets about their past. Theo's haunted by memories of his sister who passed three years ago. Leslie is haunted by her abusive father and their last encounter. The two of them finally share with each other about their past experiences and are doing better than ever when Leslie discovers she's pregnant.
I loved that Theo never gave up chasing Leslie and that when Leslie finally admitted to her feelings for Theo she fell fast. My heart broke for Theo's brother Hayden, and I still love that Finley and Frank were there for Leslie and supported her no matter what. Even Brody was very protective of Leslie. I was glad that Liam seemed to be okay after everything that happened with Finley and can't wait to read about him in the next book.
A few months later Leslie is doing a seven-day cleanse planned by her friend Frank and the end result is to have a one-night stand. When Theo finds out however he is less than pleased and shows up at different times to prove to Leslie that the two of them should be in a relationship. At the end of the cleanse Leslie finally admits she wants Theo and the two of them try being together, but both are keeping secrets about their past. Theo's haunted by memories of his sister who passed three years ago. Leslie is haunted by her abusive father and their last encounter. The two of them finally share with each other about their past experiences and are doing better than ever when Leslie discovers she's pregnant.
I loved that Theo never gave up chasing Leslie and that when Leslie finally admitted to her feelings for Theo she fell fast. This book is by far my favorite in the series. Just when I thought it couldn't get hotter than Brody...in walks sexy alpha in some sexy glasses Theo! I felt the chemistry between Leslie & Theo instantly. Leslie isn't your typical book heroine all posh and perfect. She's real, boisterous, has a foul mouth, snorts when she laughs. I kind of love her! My biggest wish was that she didn't fight Theo so damn much at he beginning. Uh hello girl...he's hot snatch that sh** up! :) the suspense in this book kept me turning pages. The alluding to issues for both theo and Leslie kept me invested and dying to find out these secrets. I wish I could share them with you but guess you will have to read it to find out :). The friendship and banter with friends in this book is so great too. I got all the emotions I needed from the couple and all the lol's from Leslie and her gay bestie Frank. Let's just say I'll never look at a cowboy hat the same again :) This book was my fave so far and as much as I think it's good to know the characters from a broken us and becoming us before you read this, it can totally be read as a standalone and frankly this is the best book so far so if I were you I'd dive right in!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the story I have been waiting for since meeting Leslie in A Broken Us. I am so glad that she got her own story in London Bound.
With Amy Daws writing a story, you always know that you are going to get characters that you can relate to. She never lets you down. She will make you laugh, cry, and then laugh until you cannot laugh anymore. London Bound did not disappoint. There was laughter, tears, and oh shit moments that leaves you anticipating the next story in the London Lovers series. It was nice to see Finley and Brody, Mike and Julie. However it was a pleasure to get to know Theo!!!!!! Theo is the hottest book boyfriend in history or at least in my version of book boyfriend history.
The story was easy to follow. The characters were easy to love, especially Frank. I hope that he gets his own story (hint, hint). I will definitely recommend this book to everyone I know and don’t know.

I did not read the first 2 books in the series, and this is also deemed as a standalone. After reading London Bound, I am going back and reading the first 2 books to be able to get even more of all the characters! That amazing house with Frank, Leslie, Finley, Julie, Mitch, and Brody... can I just say that I want to move in!! Can it be real please!!??
This story is about Leslie, who is a commitment dodger! She just isn't into them and avoids them completely.. even when Theo has set his eyes on her! (how she could do that.. no clue! lol)
Through twists and turns, and secrets and fears their story is brought to light.
It was a very enjoyable story, even without having read the first 2 books.

London Bound was incredible! And can I just add that everyone needs a friend like Frank! <3 His quirky and feisty personality makes this book hilarious! Leslie and Theo were completely amazing! They are both hiding from their pasts but Theo is relentless in his advances towards Leslie. She learns he is not going away and is forced to face her true feelings for him. Finn and Brody are such great understanding friends and Leslie is lucky to have them by her side while she decides if it's time to face her fears! Definitely a 5 star read. And overall a 5 star series. I love this author's writing. <3

What a cute book. I was first not sure what to expect with Theo’s constant pushing and telling he loves Leslie but in the end it all made sense. He finally found his light and he was gonna pursue till the end. Leslie was a bit of a bitch in the end but she had her choices too. It all made sense in the end. And managed to give us the sweetest ending for the story. Read it for you pleasure guys. You won’t be disappointed.

I've been enjoying this series and I was excited to finally get to read Leslie and Theo's story. Les is so full of life and so funny, yet getting to know her deeper side, and share in her insecurities is a huge change from what she shows on the outside.
Theo is bloody pushy, but he's loveable once you really to know him. And those family secrets. Both Les and Theo have their family secrets, and these are huge parts of who they are.
Seeing them work through things could be both frustrating and wonderful at times. The last probably 1/4 of the book really made it for me, and I loved the ending so much. It was perfect for these two, even after that shocker that I totally did not see coming.
Once again there are some series issues dealt with in this book, but in her usually way, Amy writes them well and with justice, in my opinion anyway, so that they are not too much one way or the other, in terms of overwhelming and despairing life issues that people deal with.
I'm looking forward to continuing this series, can't wait to see what else Amy has in store!

I have fallen in love with the characters in the London Lovers series over the past year, so each time a new story comes out, I am excited to read it.
And London Bound was no exception
London Bound starts up right where A Broken Us finished, but you could read it without reading the previous books.
We met Leslie, Finley's best friend in the past books in the series, and now we get her story.
Lez has always been the one in the friendship that was a bit out there, didn't care what anyone thought. Her antics with her friend and roommate Frank were quite legendary.
They say you never know what hides behind those smiles. And Lez has been hiding things, even from her best friend, for a while. And they are affecting her to this day.
I LOVED her first encounter with the sexy Theo. I couldn't help but laugh, but could also completely feel her embarrassment.
But she is never going to see him again, right??
Oh my Theo! What is not to love about this man? When Lez and Theo's world collide again.. and again, sparks fly and things sure do start to heat up.
Throw in a sexy challenge from Lez's partner in crime and fellow ginger Frank, and you just know things are going to be fun, but are going to get messy.
We learn so much more about Leslie. Why did she leave America? Why has she sworn off men?
Theo also has a secret he is hiding from Lez - and we all know how well that always goes, don't we! At times I just wanted to slap some sense into him, wanted Lez to move on. But at the same time I wanted them to stick with it, as I knew things would be wonderful if they could get through them.
There were a lot of laughs in London Bound, but this book also hits on some deeper, darker issues. One of the characters goes through something that hit quite close to the bone for me as I have been in their position in the past. Ms Daws dealt with these issues with empathy, with caring. She did not sugar coat things. Thank you for this.
I loved that we got more of Finley and Brody, whose relationship is moving on in leaps and bounds from where they left off. Frank and his vintage porn obsession is hilarious.
And then there is Liam. He has kind of been in the background, pining over Finley. I sure do hope we get more of his story. Please!
I can't wait to see what Ms Daws brings us next

This was my first book by Amy Daws, although this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone.
London Bound is a great love story it has its own special blend of boundless love and heartbreaking angst. I was captivated by the intense chemistry between these two characters Leslie and Theo are so passionate it’s difficult to not get hypnotized by such attraction. Surrounded by such wonderful friends that just add a little bit more to this already great story. Leslie’s friends make it a humurous, witty and sexy read the advice and crazy ways of helping her cope with not wanting a real relatioship is actually a means to help her realize she needs to open up her heart and let someone in.
Leslie frustrated me to no end, why you must ask yourself? Well she had a great, sexy, passionate, domineering man after her and she just kept pushing him away because she was scared of the emotions he brought out in her. Her past was preventing her from letting her guard down and allowing Theo in to her heart. Besides her relationship issues she is such a hilarious and loyal friend who deserves to be happy, she isn’t afraid to be her loud self. Her love for others has no end it’s admirable.
Theo was also letting a family tragedy wear him down and taking over his emotional well being. He was extremely patient with Leslie’s constant rejection, he kept on fighting for her attention. He is so passionate he clearly made me fall head over heels. So sweet and sexy all he wanted was to be apart of Leslie’s life although it took them a while to finally overcome their issues and reveal the secrets that haunted them, Theo’s persistance paid off he won over Leslies heart, mind and soul. They were each other’s lights in the darkness that was taking over their beautiful souls and were able to find their HEA.
True unconditional friendship and love will make you feel every emotion the characters exhibit and make you shine and sparkle too!

If there is one aspect that I can describe about Amy Daws writing is her ability to create vivid detail. This includes everything from the characters to the setting. Her words are artistic in that you can visualize the scene Amy is creating. It is easy to feel like you are present in her book. Readers can feel the beat of the music, the sway of the dancing, and the smells the every city contains. That is a huge reason why I gave London Bound such a high rating. Readers can lose themselves in the world of her books.
The story starts off going back and forth between certain periods of time. Initially, readers get to see as Leslie and Theo first meet. You know that there is something special there to be had when one of the first sentences Theo says to Leslie is, "You sparkle." Leslie keeps pushing Theo out of her life. Their no-go relationship is like a tug-of-war. Both Theo and Leslie have demons that they are hiding from each other.
You do not need to have read the previous London Lovers books. If you did though it is a plus for this story. If you have had read the other books you will get the see the characters from previous book. If you haven't read anything prior than you receive the privilege of meeting the housemates that surround Leslie. Frank was my absolute favorite. He owned the entire house with his parents. Frank wasn't accepted by his parents so his housemates became his family. I think that is why I like him so much. I could relate to his ability to create family with the friends he met. All these characters were extremely loyal to each other and they always wanted to support one another even through their cracks.
The story is extremely engaging. There is a multitude of dilemmas that surround Theo and Leslie. Family was a huge issue for them both. And let me tell you the story is so worth reading that when you get to the end you are left with a huge surprise that will leave you ending the story with a big smile. It was beautiful.
The story is one that I will go back and reread. The HEA the characters receive is unique and they both deserved the best after the trip their life took them on. Thanks Amy Daws for the journey that London Bound took readers on.

Third Book in the London Lovers series, but covers enough to be read as a stand alone!
This book has left me with one primary thought! EVERYONE needs a friend like FRANK! He is hilarious, caring and down right necessary!
After getting past the recap of things that happened in the previous book, and how Leslie felt at certain times the real story begins. At this point I felt as though I had been picked up by the scruff of my neck by a sprinter and flew through the book to the finishing line! I honestly couldn't put it down, I was even reading while stood in the kitchen cooking!
You find out that Leslie moved to London as part of a Uni course and decided to stay, or rather run away from a particular thing. I LOVED how she met Frank and how he immediately took her under his wing and moved her into his house no questions asked! He also did the same with Leslie's best friend Finley when she came to visit and now her and her new husband and other room mates are living in Frank's house providing him with the 'family' he desperately wants.
Previously on a night out Leslie had a hugely embarrassing moment on Theo's leg and has been running from him since, therefore Frank being the dutiful friend decides to help her out of her funk and concocts a Romantic Seven Day Cleanse! This has me laughing out loud! The stuff he gets Leslie to do is hilarious and the girl has some guts and does it!
The secret Leslie is keeping forces her to retract from any form of relationship and even Finley has no idea, this is one reason she is pushing Theo away but he keeps persisting and she struggles to see past him! In turn he is also keeping a huge secret and the suspense for this almost killed me!!!!! I was desperately reading to find out what the deal was!
I loved how this story went and the hard gripping issues that came up were totally unexpected and devastating! I was really pleased with how it ended and I can honestly say I would never have guessed any of the key shockers!
The possibilities for other characters in this book to have their own stories are endless and without it seemingly being dragged on! I NEED to read Frank's story!!!

London Bound is the third book in the London Lovers series and can be read as a stand alone. London Bound is Leslie Lincoln's story.
Leslie is a spunky, humorous girl with an aversion to panties and a vibrator affectionately referred to as a hot dog. Content to be single, Leslie finds herself missing something in her life as she watches her best friend, Finley, marry. Frank, her gay male BFF, encourages her to try his seven day cleanse which features some pretty crazy things to do. All the while the cleanse keeps Theo, a man she met months prior in a club and had an embarrassing moment with, at the forefront of her mind.
Theo never thought he could be happy again after the tragedy that rocked his world three years prior. Then he spotted Leslie in a club. Setting his sights on her, Theo was determined to win Leslie's heart. With so many rejections from Leslie, he begins to think he may be better off moving on... London Bound was the first book that I read in this series and I am hooked. I loved Leslie's spunky personality and her humorous commentary. Leslie never failed to make me laugh. Theo was a nice, likeable character and I couldn't help but feel bad for him with the way Leslie kept pushing him away - or at least trying to. Besides Leslie, my favorite character was Frank. He has this thing about him that captures your attention and he's got quite the personality. I also really liked Hayden's character which may seem strange to some, but I truly felt for him and wished him the best. I would love to read his story some day. His character holds a lot of promise for personal growth.
Besides the characters, I loved the plot and was surprised by the secrets of the past both Leslie and Theo were keeping. I never saw either of them coming. I also really enjoyed the setting and reading something that wasn't set in the U.S. for once.
Amy Daws is a promising author and I look forward to reading more from her.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the London Lovers series by Amy Daws and Leslie is one of my favorite characters. I am really glad that she got a book to tell her story. She is a spitfire of a gal that speaks her mind, which is probably why she has a little bit of trouble in the boyfriend department. Despite her seemingly outgoing personality, she is a little jaded and closed when it comes to relationships. She's got a rocky past and she's not keen on letting anyone know about it, not even her BFF Finley. So when she meets Theo, she has to decide how she's going to handle his affections toward her. He keeps popping up just when Leslie seems to have decided that she's not interested.
You can tell when an author is invested in a story and the characters. It comes through on the pages and in the details. I love Amy Daws' characters and come to think of them as real people. I mean, who hasn't known a Frank type at some point in their lives?? I know I have and I want to be Frank's fag hag so bad!! He's so awesome and such a great friend to Leslie when she needs it.
Amy Daws' characters are flawed, realistic, emotional, funny, thought provoking, and absolutely beautiful. When reading these stories that she writes, it's like peeling back the curtains and peeking in and spying on a neighbor. The situations and problems and drama are true to life and things that people struggle with daily. While she may not intend to impart life lessons or wisdom in her stories when she writes them, Amy tends to do just that. It sneaks up on you and you don't realize what has happened until after you've finished the story. It makes the reading of these stories that much more personal; the heart and soul of the author is evident after each read. You aren't just being entertained; you are forging a relationship with these people, one that will be a long lasting, emotional roller coaster of a ride.

Hmmm... where to start with this one... I did like it. It was a nice, well written romance with plenty of hilarious lines. This is a good place to start... what did I like?
I really liked seeing Finley and Brody again and watching their story continue in a sense. Going along with that, I really liked that the author decided to write a book from Leslie's perspective. I've been curious about her ever since she appeared in the first book and it was interesting to read about her past and how she thinks.
One thing the author did very well is creating a distinction between the voices. All the characters sound different and have different mannerisms and the author never forgot that.
Going along with that, I loved reading about both Theo and Leslie's pasts and how it's impacting them in present day. Finding out what each person was holding back solved so many little things that were sprinkled throughout the book and I actually went back and reread it just knowing what it is!
One thing I'm not sure I can get on board with is the dynamic of Leslie and Theo's relationship. Without giving too much away, Theo kind of pushes Leslie into a relationship and judging by Leslie's past, I didn't think she would allow that. Theo just seemed so pushy to me and I never warmed up to him. Their relationship just rubbed me the wrong way although it straightened out a bit in the end... I don't know I just can't fully enjoy books where the relationships feel off.
The Final Verdict:
A good love story although I'm not quite sure about the two MC's relationship dynamic. I loved seeing Finley and Brody again as well as seeing their distinct personalities emerge through the author's writing.

Alright, so where do I start? Okay, I don't know about the rest of you lovely readers, but I absolutely love Leslie. Don't get me wrong, I adore Finley and have a lot in common with her, but Leslie is my spirit animal. And I was so excited when Amy told me she'd be writing Leslie's story.
This book picks up pretty much right where Broken Us left off, but from Leslie's point of view. The first couple chapters jump from present to the past, but it's not confusing and it's actually really insightful. The story pretty much takes off running and never slows down, so be prepared to devour it in one sitting.
Leslie is probably my favorite character, although I totally love Frank. In this story you really learn about her. Why she moved to London, why she had an embarrassing moment with Theo, why she isn't close with her family, and well, why she is the way she is. I laughed a majority of the story, but that doesn't mean this is just a light read.
The story does deal with some heavy stuff and you probably will cry a few times, but no worries, you aren't alone! You'll be cheering for Theo, wanting to punch Leslie a few times, and kind of just wondering if it's possible to jump into the book and wring their necks.
Theo is beautiful and kind of broken and just wonderful. At times you'll wonder about him, but stick it out and trust that it's okay.
You do see Finley, Brody and everyone else, but the story really is focused on Leslie and Theo with a little bit of Frank thrown in.

London Bound is the 3rd book in the London Lovers series but can be read as a stand alone.
i was a little worries that i wouldn't like this one as much as the first 2 books as it is focused on a different couple but because Amy is amazing and brilliant she hit this one out of the park!!
This fantastically written book has every possible emotion squeezed in there. There is some proper laugh out loud, holding you sides hilarious moments as well as some 'i need a whole box of tissues and a bottle of wine' moments.
Leslie is the main female character who is just totally unique and someone i would love as a friend. Leslie finds herself in a bit of funk when it comes to the romance department and entrusts her very good friend Frank( also very gay friend who i FLOVE) to help get her out of the rut and back into dating. Frank sets Leslie on what he likes to call Frank’s Seven-Day Cleanse which basically entales her doing a different task every day to get her out of her comfort zone and back into the swing of things.
Insert they very hot very delicious (wipes drool off chin) Theo who has never made glasses look so sexy!! He has hes sights fixed firmly on Leslie who just so happened to have dry humped his leg in a night club a couple of months before. He wants Leslie in every way possible but both a hiding some big serpents from their past that is causing a stand still in their relationship
with no way to move forward.
Amy has done a fantastic job of giving me the feels with every single one of her books and London Bound is no different. Through her incredible writing skills she has had me hook line and sinker from the very first page and has created a place i wish was real and i could be apart of (because seriously i would love to be a flat mate in that house!)

My Review
I am already a firm and fast fan of Ms Daws and her London Lovers series, so you can safely say i had high expectations for this novel...did it live up to them...No...it utterly SMASHED them! In my opinion, this is by far the best thing that i've ever had the pleasure of reading from Amy.
Leslie's story has everything! Its shockingly sad, deals with some seriously sensual themes, Moments of absolute hilarity (of course! including one particular moment on a particular gentlemans thigh!!!) and delivers a lot of moral lessons too in my opinion.
Theo is quintessential everything a book boyfriend should be...except...he's hiding something and Leslie knows that secrets can tear a person apart. The conversations between the two will melt your heart, shatter it into a million pieces, then slowly stick it back together again.
There is another character here that i believe deserves a mention, Theo's brother. The way that Amy wrote a specific scene was mind blowing (i refuse to post spoilers so you need to read the book!!) you could physically feel the little hairs on the back of your neck standing on edge in anticipation of the conclusion!
“I never stopped chasing you because you are the light to my darkness.”
I love this quote! it sums up the reading experience here for me...you step into an emotional journey and you're riding right along with the characters, chasing their happily ever after, chasing away the darkness and in turn, chasing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Astoundingly well written! in fact, in my opinion, Ms Daws has massively evolved as a writer with 'London Bound' she has stepped onto a new plateau of excellence and i, for one, cannot wait to see what comes next!

This was my first Amy Daws book, and I can say with absolute certainty, it won't be my last. I've already snagged up the first two books in the series.
First and foremost, I have to say I adored Leslie. She was sassy, and snarky and downright funny. She's loud and proud and she really had a wonderful personality that just made this book. That's not to say Theo was sort of dark and broody at times, but also Prime Hot Alpha material.
The chemistry between Theo and Leslie practically sizzles on the pages. It is hot hot hot. It was definitely clear to see they were meant to be together, even when Leslie couldn't see it.
The mysterious edge to this story really amped it up and kept me reading, looking to see what was really going on and how things would end up. When secrets are at play, it can be anything goes, and usually there is mild chaos as characters learn hidden truths and learn to trust each other with even their most scariest sides.
I found the back and forth from past to present really built on the story, instead of taking away as it sometimes can do. I think it also helped draw me closer to the characters and their histories and made me feel like I truly knew them.
Honestly, I really enjoyed EVERY single character in this book, they all felt a part of the larger story and they all brought a dash of something to the book. I wish I could visit them for a party just once, because I could see it being the time of my life.
London Bound wasn't all bright things and beautiful. It had some tense and seriously angsty moments for me as a reader and some darker themes. But there was also laugh out loud moments and a couple wild and crazy antics. I found Daws wrapped them all together perfectly to build a fabulous book overall.

Although I didn’t run into any instances of uncontrollable laughter or tear shedding, that doesn’t mean this book didn’t have any emotion to it. The presence of Leslie’s friend Frank guarantees numerous chuckles, and the fact that the book is in this series at all means there will be some kind of depressing aspect involved. The sad parts of this novel relate to the somber familial pasts of both Leslie and Theo, which they desperately try to keep secret from one another.
I do think there could have been a better flow to both the story and style of the book. When the novel opens, Leslie is attending Finley and Brody’s wedding, and we’re provided with a lot of flashbacks, as well as some behind the scenes descriptions as to what really went down between Leslie and Theo in book 2, A Broken Us. Frank then insists that Leslie partake in his 7 day romance cleanse, and hilarity ensues with speed dating, stringing along two guys simultaneously, and culminating with a one-night stand. There is also a lovely amount of sexual tension involved as Theo constantly pursues Leslie throughout the whole cleanse. Once Leslie gives herself over to Theo though the tone for the rest of the novel takes a dramatic turn for, well, the dramatic. It almost seems like you’re reading an entirely different book.
The support group of friends is really what makes all of the books in this series shine. The same characters are present throughout, and by this third book you can recognize and understand all their varying quirks and personality traits. I’m not gonna lie though, the sexy beau-hunks are also a plus.
