The most foundational teachings of the Christian faith are presented in the Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers series at a level preschool and elementary children can understand. In simple and precise language, God-centered theology is promoted, giving children a firm foundation in God's timeless truth.
The Scripture teaches children that the Word of God is true, inspired, reliable, and profitable to lead them to God and a life of godliness. This book is a tool to help youngsters find wisdom that leads to salvation, guidance for everyday living, and hope for the future through the Bible.

This is a small book that attempts to explain what the Bible is and its purpose. While this book does a good job of explaining how we got the Bible and why, this book refers to the accounts, the events as stories. Because we live in a time when kids know Disney movies by heart, the term story refers to a fictional account. Only once does this book talk about truth. Truth should have been more emphasized and repeated and perhaps a better explanation or word for story.
This series - Big Thoughts For Little Thinkers is excellent! These small little books are cute and easy to understand for young children all the while dealing with "deep" concepts.
These 4 books talk about and explain The Scripture, The Mission, The Gospel, and The Trinity at a child's level. Each book is "narrated" by a character who introduces their self to you at the beginning of the book in way that gets your child's attention.
I really enjoyed how easy it was for my kids to relate to the characters in the books and understand hard things. The book on The Gospel was my favorite, but all of them were very good and biblicaly sound. I read them to my 3, 5, & 6-year-old children and each of them were able to understand at appropriate levels.
Every home should have a set of these on their shelves!
