In 2016, Donna Jay published her first sapphic romance. Since then, she has published eighteen more books, three of which made the number one spot in lesbian fiction.
Her stories feature resilient women, thought-provoking storylines, have plenty of heat, and are all set against the stunning backdrop of her home country, New Zealand.
She also writes sweet romances under the name Diana Jayne.
When she’s not writing, Donna can be found with her nose stuck in a book, or her backside glued to the sofa, binge-watching post-apocalyptic movies.
3.75 Stars. This is a steamy erotic short. The story takes place in a hotel that caters to peoples fantasies. It looks like Jay will be turning this into a series of short stories. This is about a wife/wife couple trying to spice up things with a mistress/naughty school girl routine. There is a little bit of spanking but overall this is on the lighter kink side.
What I really like about Jay is she writes well. You don’t always get that in erotica. Everything is very detailed; you have a solid picture in your mind. Plus Jay’s writing is realistic. You can picture that this is about two real women, not some contortionist acrobats.
I don’t read a ton of erotica anymore, my tastes have shifted a bit, but I have a comfort level with Jay’s writing since it’s more steamy with light kink. I’m looking forward to reading her new full length book Mistaken Identity.
This was a pleasant read about an erotic interlude for a long-term couple. I think that was my favorite aspect since so few stories are about already established couples. It was a short story that felt a little too short but it was still well-written.
Donna Jay returns with more hotness. Light kink, attractive leads, yummy banter descriptive sex, and what seems to be a tie to a larger story or collection. I'm here for it!
I'm quite interested in any tension between the owners of the hotel, too.
Got a nip of time and in a sexy mood? Then, eat up this snack of a vignette. Can't wait for more!
Lovely erotic short story about two women wanting to spice up their sex life by playing out a fantasy. Hotel Fantasia gives them the venue and all they need to bring is themselves. This is a good start to a sexy series with great potential.
Learning Curves (Hotel Fantasia #1) by Donna Jay is a short erotic romp about an established couple going to a hotel to have a bit of roleplay. The hotel has 4 special rooms catering to that need, its own entrance and complete privacy. The story was very middle of the road to be honest. I’ve read better (but also worse) in many erotic anthology. I kept wondering why these two women had to go all the way to this expensive hotel when they could have easily done what they did in their own bedroom (buy a blackboard, some chalk, a ruler… and presto!).
Fans self! If you're looking for a little something to spice up your--reading shelf--then perhaps a fantasy into the classroom is just what you're looking for.
I read this within the anthology "F is for Five Sapphic Tales". Check it out, because they are all enjoyable stories.
Thank you, Donna Jay! Maybe I should just leave it there, no spoilers.
A grown up alphabet lesson! Sheryl & Bri have built Hotel Fantasia to be a safe place where fantasies can be acted out. Tina & Janine are on their way to sharing a fantasy, imagine a room with a blackboard, desk & a ruler. I didn't know detention could be this much fun! Donna develops her characters so well, even in this short story. She has a way of writing soft kink with just the right amount of steam! I can't wait to read more adventures from Hotel Fantasia!
Roleplay as a way to connect with a spouse. It is a short story focusing on a (lesbian) couple who will fulfill an erotic encounter in a hotel providing the settings of their desired roleplay. It is erotic, but shows also how a married couple can feed their love throughout sexual attentiveness. A highly appreciated author.
The only thing that could make it better is to make it longer... it’s intriguing without being too much... and I know everyone is hoping there is a happy ever after for our business owners??
